With the Double of the First Class Solemnity of the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we enter into the most glorious of seasons - Paschaltide (Quinquagesima Paschalis) that can last from Easter to Pentecost or as the Catholic Encyclopedia points out in liturgical books from the First Vespers of Low Sunday to the Vespers of Trinity Sunday on Ember Saturday in Pentecost Week. Thus, to cover both bases we are publishing this edition to cover from Easter Sunday to Ember Saturday in Pentecost Week. We will resume with the Trinity Week issue on June 11. As editor of this publication, now in its 21st year of being on line, I want to extend to all our readers a blessed and grace-filled Eastertide and pray that you may bask in the Mystical Light of our Resurrected Savior and grow stronger in your Faith throughout this time of Paschaltide by truly studying the Faith so that you will truly KNOW the Faith in order to KEEP the Faith.

It is now time to put the penitential season of Lent in the rearview mirror for a time, while learning from and being strengthened by our spiritual and temporal exercises of penance and sacrifice that we accomplished. It is a time to shout "Alleluia", while continuing to do as St. Paul counsels in Philippians 2: 12, "with fear and trembling [to] work out your salvation." This is paramount to realize as we remember John Vennari, longtime editor of Catholic Family News who succumbed to cancer on April 4. His Requiem funeral was held on Saturday April 8 in Tonawanda, New York. Also, there is both sorrow and joy for Fr. David Hewko who lost his grandmother in early April and needs financial help to cover the expenses of the funeral and transportation. You can contribute by going to Our Lady of Mount Carmel USA and donate through PayPal. Later on April 18, he will celebrate his Silver Anniversary as a true priest for 25 years. Congratulations, Father. May you have 25 more.

We remind all that the Regina Coeli replaces the Angelus during Paschaltide in acknowledging the integral role of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Co-Redemptrix. During this editon we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the First Apparition by the Mother of God on May 13 during her month of May. It has been a full century and we still haven't fully responded as Our Lady asked. When will we learn? Just keep praying those Rosaries and God will come through in His time. Our Lady has promised such. The month of Mary is consummated the feast of her Coronation as Queen of Heaven and earth on May 31. And for this Centennial Year of Fatima, we continue our daily tributes to Our Lady under her many titles around the world as well as an inspiring sermon each day by a trusted traditional bishop or priest as you'll see below each day for both.

...and then...

Finally, it has to be said. As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. We remind you of the advice of the holy Doctor of the Church Saint Augustine on almsgiving:
"Generosity will save a person from Eternal Death, it will even blot out any sin.....because Almsgiving is prayer...it brings graces, it cleanses the soul from guilt and punishment.....What good is faith without works, if we desert our fellow man in his need.?"
If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. We urgently ask if you can contribute anything in these tight times, we would be so appreciative for the coffers are truly bare. Think of all the untold millions being thrown into the election process this year. If you've contributed to a campaign, can't you spare a crumb for this apostolate to convert apostates? If you are still in the category of the lukewarm, then you will pass over this plea and move on to the next thing that tickles your fancy. But if you truly want to commit, we offer you the opportunity below to put that commitment into action for the good of saving souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward a bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the CONciLIAR collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

I want to thank our loyal benefactors who have been, literally, the life line of the DailyCatholic. Unfortunately this traditional apostolate is far, far short of the goal hoped and prayed for, but we leave it all in God's hands for we fully accept His holy Will in whatever that may be. Only He knows and we're content with that. All we know is that how frequently we publish in 2017 will be directly contingent on your generosity in helping us reach more souls more often. That is why we implore you to contribute what you can below. May you have a blessed and grace-filled Paschaltide. Scimus Christum surrexÍsse. Allelúja, Allelúja.

Our Lady of Betharam

To paraphrase Mary Magdalen's heartfelt angst to the angel at the empty tomb, we fast forward to today and say where have they taken Christ's Mystical Body? John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary that reinforces the importance of the Resurrection for Jesus purges out the old leaven by making all things new in The Rising of the Unleavened Bread. While "Alleluias" are the theme this week, we cannot get too comfortable for countless souls still have no clue that their Faith and Sanctifying Grace has been stolen from them thanks to the devious deeds wrought from Vatican 2 from which emerged a man-made religion that may have called itself the Roman Catholic Church, but in truth is the false church St. Paul warns of in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-11, 2 Timothy 4: 3-4, and what St. John the Evangelist foretells in chapter 17 and 18 of the Book of the Apocalypse. (Sorry, still can't conform to calling it Revelation, which is a Protestant term. In that respect, at least the Protestants had the decency to not call themselves Catholic unlike the current occupants in Rome and chanceries throughout the world!)

Therefore, it is vital that readers realize how important it is to KNOW the Faith in order to KEEP the Faith! That begins by understanding the propitatory nature of the apostolic, canonical Traditional Latin Mass of All Ages. To do so, we provide video Explanations of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass along with the tremendous value of the true Mass so that all will realize this is the only way to receive the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, truly present in the Sacred Host is from a true priest. That would be one ordained in the true rite before unPaul 6 thought he had a better idea than the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church and changed the rite to almost a carbon copy of the Anglican rite, thus making it "totally null and utterly void" as Pope Leo XIII decreed in Apostolicae Curae and reinforced by Pope Pius XII with his decree Sacramentum Ordinis

Thus, the tragic truth is that while many Catholics who thought they were truly being absolved in Confession and who thought they were receiving the true Presence in the Holy Eucharist were deprived of Sanctifying Grace for the Novus Ordo is invalid. Yes, there is the possibility they received the efficacious graces because of their intent, even the 'priests' who administered the sacraments. After all, God judges the heart, but He also judges those of whom He expects more (cf. St. Luke 12: 48) and for them it will not go well at Judgment time. Realize how devasting all this is because the Novus Ordo 'priest' has no power to forgive sins anymore than a Protestant minister does, or you or I for that matter. Think how many have been deprived of true Sanctifying Grace. That, thanks to the Revolution of Vatican 2, has been one of the devil's greatest triumphs by eclipsing the true Church and setting up in its place the false CONciLIAR church, ultimately the "whore of Babylon" as the Scriptures foretell.

I know it's a shock to most to realize they're barking up the wrong tree, the one without the true barque of Peter. It was to us when we connected all the dots and finally came to the conclusion that the only syllogism possible to verify Christ's words was that the true Church remains in an interminable interregnum, chiefly because a heretic cannot be a pope, not to mention how those men occupying the Chair since the death of His Holiness of happy memory Pope Pius XII's death on October 9, 1958. The links we provide above to other ports verifies this fact.

All we ask is that you pray for the grace to see the veracity of what is presented. It can be a tremendous task to leave the comfort zone of a religion that has relaxed so much, but isn't it worth it for your salvation? That was the decision we came to after realizing how much we were duped - yes, we're not alone - for as Jesus said in St. Matthew 24: 24-25: "insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand." We've been warned, and yet so many refuse to connect the dots. It behooves you to do so and do so soon.

In order to further appreciate the Holy Mass and how it correlates to Christ's life in every way, we encourage you to see The Alter Christus Factor

Below you can also gain greater inspiration during this Paschaltide from John Gregory's reflections on the Glorious Mysteries by clicking on each of the mysteries. as well as praying three times daily the Regina Coeli, which replaces the Angelus during Paschaltide.

This prayer replaces the Angelus during Paschaltide
        Regina Coeli laetare. Alleluia.
        Quia quem meruisti portare. Alleluia.
        Resurrexit sicut dixit. Alleluia.
        Ora pro nobis Deum. Alleluia.
        V. Gaude et laetare, virgo Maria. Alleluia.
        R. Quia surrexit Dominus vere. Alleluia.
        Oremus.
Amen.
    Queen of Heaven, rejoice, Alleluia.
For He Whom thou was made worthy to bear. Alleluia.
Hath risen as He said. Alleluia.
Pray for us to our God. Alleluia.
    V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary. Alleluia.
    R. For the Lord hath risen indeed. Alleluia.
    Let us pray.
O God, Who through the resurrection of Thy Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, hast vouchsafed to make glad the whole world, grant us, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady of Faith

First of all, let us make it perfectly clear: the First Sunday after Easter, the Octave Day of the Resurrection of the Lord, is known as Low Sunday, not 'Divine Mercy Sunday' as the Modernists claim. The latter is a canard concocted by Karol Wojtyla (aka John Paul 2) that has decimated the meaning of Paschaltide and diminished Christ's words to St. Thomas and Our Lord's Apostles, "blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed." The Haydock Commentary for this Sunday provided by John Gregory reaffirms A Testament of Lasting Faith for as Catholis we go by faith, not feelings. That is why there are few lows when one goes on faith, but a constant confident high that is tempered by a steady keel provided by the sacramental life of the Church that enables us to believe and say the same words the doubting Apostle said when he was at last convinced: My Lord, and my God...Dominus meus, et Deus meus. Besides it being Low Sunday, it is also known in liturgical circles as Quasi Modo Sunday, and because of so many ferias this week, also Quasi Modo Week. And no, it has nothing to do with Victor Hugo's fictional hunchback of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, but rather, "As only" the Church can so wonderfully compile, the Introit of the Mass "As [only] (Quasi modo) newborn babes (géniti infántes), alleluia, desire (concupíscite) the rational milk without guile (rationábiles, sine dolo lac), alleluia, alleluia, alleluia." As Jesus pointed out, "Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of Heaven" (St. Matthew 18: 3). In holy Mother Church's wisdom She realizes the "rational milk without guile" is the infrangible doctrines and traditions of the Church instituted by Christ, Who cannot deceive nor be deceived as we say each day in the Act of Faith. Thus, we must remain as little children, yes, newborn babes, innocent as possible and not tainted by the world, the flesh and the devil. Not easy in this day and age. Yet, as Jesus assures, as attested to by three of the evangelists, "With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible."

Those who were childlike in their faith are celebrated this week beginning with a commemoration on Low Sunday of the holy martyr St. George. Then on Monday begin a string of three more days of holy martyrs honoring St. Fidelis, then the holy Evangelist St. Mark on Tuesday, followed by Popes St. Cletus & Marcellinus, both martyred for the Faith on Wednesday. On Thursday we celebrate the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Peter Canisius, and on Friday St. Paul of the Cross as well as the traditional observance of the saint who so loved Our Lady St. Louis de Montfort. Saturday bookends the week of martyrs with St. Peter of Verona.

This is the Blessed Mother's year with the 100-year anniversary of Fatima, and to acknowledge this last universally Church-approved apparition that carries so much weight and urgency from her plea to pray the holy Rosary daily to how many souls go to hell for the sins of the flesh, and, of course the mysterious Third Secret that has yet to be revealed despite the bogus one in 2000, we continue to honor her each and every day with something not bogus: We honor her with one of her titles over the centuries from countries all around the world. We provide the link to more on her title and about each particular apparition each day via the links provided beneath each day's Holy Sacrifice of the Mass Proper graphic on these pages.

We ease into the third week after Easter with the liturgy for the Second Sunday after Easter, also called Good Shepherd Sunday for Jesus is the Good Shepherd Whose sheep know Him and He knows them. John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for the Epistle and Gospel which reinforces The difference between the true Good Shepherd and false shepherds who ravage souls = Vatican II. The saintly shepherds of the Church celebrated this week exemplify Our Lord's charge from Sts. Philip and James to the holy Doctor of the Church St. Athanasius to the chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and foster-father of the Son of God Himself, dear good St. Joseph whose solemnity for the Third Wednesday after Easter is celebrated this week. Then we have brave St. Helena who found the True Cross of Christ and the holy Sovereign Pontiff Pope Saint Pius V who shepherded a whole nation to pray to Our Lady for victory at Lepanto over the infidel Saracens. We finish the week with the beloved disciple and the feast of St. John before the Latin Gate. They all illustrat how, when correctly directed, we cannot go wrong. Something that cannot be said of the CONciLIAR church which, as the nefarious hireling, has allowed the wolf to scatter and devour souls. The former now seeks to erase many Catholic truths and traditions, especially with Mr. Bergoglio's stubbornly standing by his scandalous, sacrilegious, blasphemous Amoris laetitia where evidently anything goes as long as you're tolerant and toe the PC line. What can we do but what St. Paul counsels in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14, to "stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle" for we know that what is coming out of Modernist Rome is anathema just as the holy Apostle of the Gentiles warned in Galatians 1: 8-10. We remind all that the Regina Coeli replaces the Angelus during Paschaltide.

We begin on Monday to honor the Mother of God as Queen of the May honoring Our Lady with a special flower each day this month with a corresponding virtue as you'll see by clicking on each flower square below for this week along with the beautiful daily Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary prayed throughout the month of May. Keep in mind the vital importance of praying Mary's holy Psalter daily, with special emphasis on the holy Rosary during this month when we officially celebrate the centennial Anniversary of the First Apparition at the Cova in Fatima to the three peasant children.

Our Lady of Fatima 100th

What a week of Joy, beginning with the Third Sunday after Easter where the opening words of the Introit are Jubiláte Deo and John Gregory provides the reinforcement of this with the Haydock Commentary In a short time...sorrow will be turned to joy! This is followed on Monday by the Apparition of St. Michael the Archangel, one of two feasts honoring God's right-hand general. It was also, as many believe, even though he was not identified as St. Michael, the heavenly angel who first appeared to the three visionaries at Fatima a year earlier three times to alert them and instruct them in the prayer with what is today known as the Fatima Prayers: "My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love Thee. I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee. O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in [true] tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners."

On Tuesday the joy continues with the holy Doctor of the Church St. Gregory Nazianzen, who was the "Administrator of Theology" and Wednesday we honor good St. Joseph once again on the Octave Day of his Solemnity after Easter. We follow three days later on Saturday with the feast of another holy Doctor the great cardinal of the Counter-Revolution St. Robert Bellarmine who was the Theologian of the Roman Pontiffs and Trent. Of course it is also the official 100th Anniversary of the First Apparition at the Cova in Fatima by the Blessed Virgin Mary and that is the focus of this week, of this year as we bring you each day a different title to honor Our Lady and why.

For the sake of souls, pray to Heaven for the

Why Fatima is so important in our time is beyond conjecture. Though it is private revelation and is on the lowest rung of belief for Catholics, still it carries possibly more weight from Heaven than any other apparition save for Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Lourdes. Yet Fatima is a follow-up to all the other apparitions of the Mother of God and she has never been wrong; after all she is the Immaculate Conception, the Ark of the Covenant, the Queen of Heaven and earth. And what she foretold at Fatima has indeed come about to our great chagrin because of many factors as you can see above with the false CONciLIAR church spawned at Vatican 2 and which cannot possibly be the true Church, but a separate entity that usurped the properties and hierarchy and, unlike the Protestants, have not had the decency to not use the identity of Catholic. They are not! Above are the vast differences between the two Churches, on the left the false church that brought about the prophesied Great Apostasy, and on the right the True Church that, though presently a remnant Church in the catacombs as Pope Pius XII warned just before his death, will overcome the false church in God's time. Jesus said it best in Matthew 7: 15-20, "By their fruits you shall know them" and since there are no good fruits, we know the newchurch of Vatican 2 is a bad tree destined for the fires of hell. What gives us the greatest comfort as we continue to pray more souls will be given the grace to truly see the truths of what we publish here, is Our Lady's own words below:

We continue honoring the Queen of the May with a special flower each day this week with a corresponding virtue as you'll see by clicking on each flower square below along with the daily Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Lady of La Ferte 1113

We want to wish all those wonderful ladies who have borne children a blessed and warm Mother's Day, remembering that without mothers there would be no sons and daughters, and no fathers - in short, no way to procreate and populate Heaven. While fathers are the head of the family, mothers are the heart, the ones who are in touch body and soul with their offspring and, for the most part, largely taken for granted except on this one day each year. Let's all work on changing that perception by remembering to thank our moms each and every day of the year and it's easy to remember by trusting in the greatest Mother of all, the Mother of God who is our Mother as well and is always looking out for our spiritual welfare, if not our temporal welfare when it is in alignment with the will of her divine Son Jesus. Also, the greatest gift we can give our mothers who have passed on is to pray daily for the repose of their souls. If they are hopefully already in Heaven, then those prayers are passed on to others in need of those prayers and that is what deceased mothers would want for, after all, a mother's greatest attribute outside of love is how much she gives. Let's give back today and everyday.

For the Fourth Sunday after Easter, known as Cantáte Sunday John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary Promise of the Paraclete. There is also a commemoration of the holy martyr St. Boniface at the Collect, Secret, and Postcommunion at Low Masses. Everyday this week a male saint is honored and they would most likely be the first to acknowledge gratitude to their mothers, but especially to their heavenly Mother Mary.

We continue honoring the Queen of the May with a special flower each day this week with a corresponding virtue as you'll see by clicking on each flower square below along with the daily Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In medio Ecclesiae

Bishop Dolan sermon

Our Lady of Naples 533

All focus this week is on the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven, but it begins with the three Rogation Days, with the last day Wednesday being the Vigil of the Ascension. These Rogation Days are set aside to offer supplication to Heaven and show our sincerity in penitential procession in praying the Litany of the Saints.   John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentaries for he Fifth Sunday after Easter with Through Christ our Lord and on the Ascension with The charge to spread the Word for the sake of Salvation. John also presents a scriptural meditation on the Second Glorious Mystery. The Paschal Candle is extinguished after the Gospel and then removed permanently after Holy Mass.

On Friday the feast of St. Philip Neri we begin the oldest Novena in the Church, the Novena of the Holy Ghost with the First Day and Saturday, Second Day on Fear of the Lord. Saturday we honor the holy Doctor of the Church St. Bede the Venerable who was the Father of the Church and Holy Historian. We continue honoring the Queen of the May with a special flower each day this week with a corresponding virtue as you'll see by clicking on each flower square below along with the daily Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

We continue this week the Novena to the Holy Ghost in preparation for Pentecost. Just click on each dove graphic above for the respective day. On the Sunday after the Ascension John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for the Epistle and Gospel with "They have not known the Father, nor Me" for we must realize that if we don't stand for Christ, we will fall for His adversary. On the same Sunday we also commemorate at the Collect, Secret and Postcommunion the holy Bishop St. Augustine of Canterbury. At the end of the week we observe First Friday Devotions and First Saturday Devotions for June, the month of the Sacred Heart. But before that on Wednesday we honor:

Throughout this month we've built up quite a spiritual bouquet of beautiful flowers to offer Mary this day on the feast of the Queenship of Mary in celebrating the Mass of Gaudeamus. With this glorious feast we conclude the month-long tribute to the Mother of God, as we have honored Our Lady with a special flower each day with a corresponding virtue by clicking on each flower square below for this final week of May as we also finish up the beautiful daily Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary prayed throughout the month of May. Keep in mind the vital importance of praying Mary's holy Psalter daily, with special emphasis on the holy Rosary during this month when we officially celebrated the centennial Anniversary of the First Apparition at the Cova in Fatima to the three peasant children.

Our Lady of Cranganor

Pentecost is the Birthday of holy Mother Church. While Christ's charge to Peter in St. Matthew 16: 18-19 could be considered the conception of the Church, the actual birth of the Church is Pentecost Sunday, also known as Whitsunday when, as Our Lord promised, He would send His Spirit - the Holy Ghost to guide and guard the truths and traditions established by Jesus and entrusted to men who would trust in the Advocate and Sanctifier, aka the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. Those first to receive it were the Apostles who were transformed by the Sanctifier. Our Lady, immaculately conceived knew as she awaited the appearance of her Divine Spouse. Formerly cowering in fear, the twelve went out fearless and, well, as you know, the rest is history. John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for Pentecost Sunday "He will send in My name" as well as a scriptural meditation on the Third Glorious Mystery. And there is an inspiring piece for Pentecost by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey titled From the Beginning A Mission to Convert All Men Everywhere. We now transfer back to saying the Angelus which replaces the Paschaltide Regina Coeli as the Alleluias are set aside and we settle in for a week of red in vestments and Ember Week.

On Ember Wednesday we begin the Nine-Day Novena in preparation for the First Class Feast of Corpus Christi in which we celebrate the confection of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ truly present only via the true Traditional Latin Mass which remains as the infallible, dogmatic Council of Trent decreed and Pope St. Pius V set in stone that must be said in perpetuity. His Holiness decreed in His Papal Bull Quo Primum that if anyone dared to alter the Mass he "will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul." ("Si quis autem hoc attentare praesumpserit, indignationem omnipotentis Dei, ac beatorum Petri et Pauli Apostolorum ejus se noverit incursurm.") Just from this infallible statement we know the new 'mass' created by Paul 6 cannot be true, but a counterfeit that all should flee from.

The saints celebrated this week are all superseded by the liturgies of Pentecost week so there is merely commemorations for the likes of holy men such as St. Francis Caracciolo on Sunday, the holy Bishop St. Boniface, Apostle of Germany on Monday, another holy Bishop St. Norbert on Tuesday. Click on their images for the commemorations. There is no commemoration for the holy Abbot St. Robert of Newminster on Ember Wednesday, the holy Bishops Sts. Medard and Gildard on Thursday, and the holy martyrs Sts. Primus & Felician on Ember Friday, but there is a commemoration for St. Margaret of Scotland on Ember Saturday.

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

To assist all in striving toward holiness, click on the Confessional to your right to review your transgressions through a thorough Examination of Conscience

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio, contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae caelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute, in infernum detrude. Amen.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds, hide me.
Permit me to never be separated from Thee.
From the malicious enemy, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me
And bid me to come to unto Thee
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee
Forever and ever. Amen.

Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O bone Iesu, exaudi me.
Intra Tua vulnera absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a Te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meae voca me.
Et iube me venire ad Te,
Ut cum Sanctis tuis laudem te
in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Amen.

Novena for Corpus Christi
I thank Thee, Jesus, my Divine Redeemer, for coming upon this earth for our salvation, and for instituting the august Sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world.

I thank Thee for hiding beneath the Eucharistic species Thy infinite majesty and beauty, which Thy Angels delight to behold, so that I might have courage to approach the throne of Thy Mercy.

I thank Thee, most loving Jesus, for having made Thyself my food, and for uniting me to Thyself with so much love in this wonderful Sacrament that I may live in Thee.

I thank Thee, my Jesus, for giving Thyself to me in this Most Blessed Sacrament, and so enriching it with the treasures of Thy love that Thou hast no greater gift to give me.

I thank Thee not only for becoming my food but also for offering Thyself as a continual sacrifice to Thy Eternal Father for my salvation.

I thank Thee, Divine Priest, for offering Thyself as a Sacrifice daily upon our altars in adoration and homage to the Most Blessed Trinity, and for making amends for our poor and miserable adorations.

I thank Thee for renewing in this daily Sacrifice the actual propitiatory Sacrifice of the Cross offered on Calvary, in which Thou satisfiest Divine justice for us poor sinners.

I thank Thee, dear Jesus, for having become the priceless Victim to merit for me the fullness of Heavenly favors. Awaken in me such confidence in Thee that their fullness may descend ever more fruitfully upon my soul and let me always be worthy of Thee.

I thank Thee for offering Thyself in thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, spiritual and temporal, which He hath bestowed upon me. In union with Thine offering of Thyself to Thy Father in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I ask for this special favor:

(Mention your petition here))
If it be Thy holy Will, grant my request. Through Thee I also hope to receive the grace of perseverance in Thy love and faithful service, a holy death, and a happy eternity with Thee in Heaven. Amen.

O Lord, Thou hast given us this Sacred Banquet, in which Christ is received, the memory of His Passion is renewed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us who are worthy of Thee. Thou hast given them bread from Heaven. Having all sweetness within.

Let us pray.
God our Father, for Thy glory and our salvation Thou appointed Jesus Christ eternal High Priest. May the souls He gained for Thee by His Blood come to share in the power of His Cross and Resurrection by celebrating His Memorial in this Most Blessed Sacrament, for He liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, forever. Amen.

O Jesus, since Thou hast left us a remembrance of Thy Passion beneath the veils of this Sacrament, grant us, we pray, so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood that we may always enjoy the fruits of Thy Redemption through Christ our Lord. Amen.
