May 2012 (may2012.htm)

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff completed the first twelve installments of his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor G. Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" in emphasizing that the traditional bishops have full authority to teach, sanctify and rule and must do so by uniting as one body against the usurpers in the false church of Vatican II since souls are at stake, including the bishops' own if they don't accept responsibility as Christ charged. Below are the twelve to date:

On the very last day of May we offer Our Lady both the ANEMONE flower which represents the beautiful virtue of UNION WITH JESUS and the full bouquet from the full month. The Anemone is a woodplant whose beautiful flower is renowned. Also well known is the fact Our Lady constantly encourages us to come to her Divine Son and be united with Him through her. That is because He loves His Mother and His children so and is so pleased when we honor her as He honored her during His life on earth and after in Heaven where He, along with the Father and Holy Ghost crowned Mary as Queen of Heaven and earth. That is why today is so special for we take the entire bouquet offered throughout the month and offer them all to our Blessed Heavenly Queen with a bonanza of bouquets of flowers and the corresponding virtues that we have pledged to Our Lady to practice. Below this installment we provide a special graphic where Our Lady is surrounded by these beautiful flowers. You can go to HOLY CARD to print it out and clip it out as a holy card for your missal to remind you of these virtues.

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff completes this section of his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor G. Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on the charge given in holy Scripture and by Christ Himself that our traditional bishops as the college of bishops or body of bishops have not only the judicial and legislative authority, but also the mandate to unite with the other true bishops for no bishop can operate independently. The Church has so declared and there should be no more doubt as to what each traditional bishop must do as Griff documents in Part Twelve: Mandate for True Bishops to Work Together

On the thirtieth day of May the flower presented to Our Lady is the beautiful CAMELLIA with the corresponding Virtue being PERSEVERANCE. This magnificent flower, which is a greenhouse shrub, is relatively a new find from the tea plant. In fact, its Latin name was derived after the one who discovered it and who practiced perseverance: the Jesuit missionary Father Georg Josef Kamel, a missionary priest in Moravia. Perseverance also applies to the fact that there is but one more day left in this Month of May to honor Christ by showering His Blessed Mother with bouquets of flowers and virtues and by praying her Rosary and the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor G. Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on the authority of the hierarchy and how that very authority, from Christ Himself, is possessed by the traditional clergy - both bishops and priests - and they have been given the three-fold power to teach, sanctify, and rule. Griff brings up the Jansenist heresy as discussed by Msgr. Van Noort in this part of the text and points out that any priest and bishop who does not recognize his own full jurisdiction to carry on the work of the Apostles or refuses to recognize the same in his fellow traditional priests or bishops is falling into this one particular aspect of the Jansenist heresy. It is high time they realize that either the traditional bishops – today’s only possible College of Bishops - have said authority as members of the hierarchy or it was never true to begin with when Christ established His Church. It is vital that the clergy be recognized by their flocks and other bishops and even more important, that their fellow bishops acknowledge and recognize each other. Griff details in Part Eleven: Accepting the Authority of True Bishops and Priests

On the twenty-ninth day of May the flower presented to Our Lady is the ASTER with the corresponding Virtue being GOODNESS. The Aster is named for the Greek aster which means star and the blooming herbs of the Aster with the showy daisy-like flowers blooms in the Fall, shining amongst the changing foliage which is losing its leaves. Appropriately Goodness shines through when others lose their luster. Goodness is what the Blessed Mother cherishes so much in her Divine Son's children for Goodness is the foundation of a sincere heart and a pure soul. There are but two days left this month to pray the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor G. Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on defining the what a hierarchy is in and how it has been so misconstrued and taken out of context where, in truth, it is a sacred society because it signifies sacred rule. Of course, we know the counterfeit church posing as the Catholic Church today has no further link to that hierarchy which, for reasons already covered, leaves the true authority in the hands of traditional bishops and priests alone for they can be the only ones considered to be hierarchy in this time of the Great Apostasy. Griff shows in Part Ten the objections and misconceptions Modernists raise amidst all the verbal hash they cook up in their efforts to convince others that the Church should be a society that continues to evolve in tune with modern times and that heresy clashes with the Church's unchanging dogmas, the Church's very nature, and social structure of The Church as a Hierarchy

On the twenty-eighth day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the HONEYSUCKLE with the corresponding Virtue of CONFIDENCE IN GOD. The honeysuckle, a member of the columbine family is a sweet plant of long spurred flowers that resemble almost a trumpet like shape, trumpeting the Confidence in God. From the amazing floral display thus far in May, we can see the beauty He has created and this should spur on confidence in Him alone. Nothing, however is more beautiful to His beautiful Blessed Mother than a pure soul arrayed in grace. With only a few days left in Mary's month of May, let us not neglect the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

John Gregory provides the commentary for Pentecost Sunday from Father George Leo Haydock found in many Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. Christ makes good on His Promise. He has sent His Spirit, the Paraclete, and, Deo gratias, things will never be the same again for His holy Church is officially off and running in fulfilling His command to His disciples to preach the Gospel to all. Peace He has given them to spread not as the world perceives it even today when humanism is trumpeted from the highest echelons of the conciliarists. We must return to what our Lord taught and what His chosen apostles preached without compromise. Peace is only possible when grace flows. Only then can the Sanctifier reach souls. When God withdraws His graces and blessings, corruption and corrosion follow and all man-made institutions will crumble because they are not of divine design. "He will send in My name"

Following John Gregory meditation on the Second Glorious Mystery just over a week ago, he returns with inspiration for the Solemnity of the Descent of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles in a meditation of the Third Glorious Mystery. Fifty days after our Lord Jesus Christ conquered death and ten days after He bodily ascended into Heaven, He made good on His promise to send His Spirit. The Holy Ghost came with a rush of grace and inspiration, transforming the formerly apprehensive Apostles into men of virtuous courage who were now ready to fully take up the command Christ had given them. The charism of the Church was born that day and the Faith spread rapidly with three thousand on the first day. A glorious day it was! John provides reflections on The Third Glorious Mystery: Pentecost

While the first step to sainthood is making one "venerable" the title of Saint Bede the Venerable means so much more for he was the illustrious ornament of the Anglo-Saxon Church and its very first historian. Considered the Father of English History, he was the first to date events as in the "Year of Our Lord" - Anno Domini (A.D.) and would be appalled today to hear that the Modernist secularists want to make it A.C.E. (After the Common Era)in doing away with any reference to Christ whatsoever, all part of the anti-Catholic agenda to de-Christianize America thoroughly. That is the Masonic creed which Bede would never have stood for. St. Bede was officially named a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIII. Considered a Father of the Church, he was the Benedictines' jewel and is often called The Holy Historian

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor G. Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on asserting that His Church will remain indestructible and incorrupt until the end of the world. The fact that the conciliar newChurch of Vatican II has become corrupt in so many ways proves it is not Catholic, and like the parable of the vine, will be cut off and cast into the fire because it falsely calls itself "Catholic." Conversely, the true Church, no matter how small it might be relegated to, still possesses the Holy Ghost and those bishops, who carry on the mission to teach, sanctify and rule, do possess the authority and those who follow may even be only a few. Yet those traditional Catholics remain the only ones practicing Catholic tradition and have the assurance from divine revelation that the true Church will never be corrupted. This established doctrine also proves the traditional bishops are true shepherds and that the Eucharist will always be available in perpetuity, which clearly deflates the Home Aloners' theories and leaves them stranded until they admit they need the holy Sacraments from valid traditional priests and bishops. Griff lays it out in Part Nine: Perpetuity of the Church

On the twenty-seventh day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the VERBENA with the corresponding Virtue of PRUDENCE. Bouquets of peachy-pink verbena, often grown in tropical and sub-tropical areas, are often mixed with the sacred boughs of laurel, olive or myrtle plants which are prized and intended to be cultivated just as the soul strives to manage itself by upholding all moral propriety and modesty, presenting itself before God as a victor over sin. How appropriate that it falls on the feast of St. Bede the Venerable for the holy monk was most prudent in documenting the history of the Church in England and establishing Christ in the annals of history with Anno Domini. With only a few days left in Mary's month of May, let us not neglect the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today for the ninth and final day of this Novena to the Holy Ghost we focus on the Fruits of the Holy Ghost. These provide grace to perform good works under the inspiration of the Advocate. They contribute to pleasing not only God, but ourselves and our fellow man. These fruits enable us to be more virtuous in our lives by practicing charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, long-suffering, mildness, faith, modesty, continency and chastity. We dare say had more followed this Counsel, having the Gift of Wisdom through the Gifts of Knowledge and Understanding with the Gift of Fortitude for having a true Holy Fear via the Gift of the Fear of the Lord they would long to practice and acquire the Gift of Piety. Tomorrow we celebrate the arrival of the Sanctifier. Let us all strive to seek these seven Gifts He so generously bestows. Ninth and Final Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

On the twenty-sixth day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the PRIMROSE with the corresponding Virtue being LOVE OF LABOR. Interesting that the primrose would represent the love of work for it is the primrose path which represents sensual pleasure and is most often associated with the path to perdition. Conversely it is the narrow and straight path to Heaven which fosters a love of labor out of a sincere love for God and total humility. Perhaps the primrose, not actually a rose, is presented for it typifies the plentitude of multicolor flowers that are produced through tender loving care by the love of labor for it takes time and work to cultivate a garden of primroses. So also it takes time and work to cultivate virtue but the result is more colorful and splendid to the soul and to Our Lord and Our Lady than any flower, no matter how beautiful the primrose bouquets can be, made all the more beautiful with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Wisdom is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. It follows Knowledge, Understanding, and Counsel in the line of combining mind and soul. This Novena is the oldest in the Church and it was with great wisdom that it was established as a devotion for all Catholics. The Gift of Wisdom enhances all the virtues and in these dire, dark times we all need to strengthen our faith against the wiles of the principalities of perdition. We need hope to forge on and persevere so that we will keep the faith, and, though charity towards others has been twisted to mean entitlement or redistribution among a generation who feel they are owed and this is mistakenly taken as charity, true charity requires the wisdom of giving because Christ asks us to give out of love for Him, not out of guilt or because we're pressured. With these Gifts of the Holy Ghost we are able to more clearly see the narrow path - the wise path - that alone leads to eternal life by turning our back on the world, the flesh and the devil. Eighth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on asserting the visible nature of the Church as Griff relates the purpose of the Church as Jesus intended, documented throughout the Scriptures, to instruct all creatures to practice the Faith through living the Faith, that through and in, throughout all ages, there is a constant, continual application of salvation for that is the goal of establish the faith on earth: to be with Him in Heaven. Such paradise can only be accomplished through living the true Faith with the specific purpose of attaining holiness. The traditional pastors fulfill Christ's charge in that very purpose and it contrasts greatly with the the conciliar or Novus Ordo church which places little if any emphasis on sanctity or even salvation of souls for they have abandoned proselytizing and converting souls in favor of political correctness and being accepted by the world. We know where that leads as Griff indicates in Part Eight: To Teach and Sanctify

On the twenty-fifth day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the DAFFODIL with the corresponding Virtue being DEVOTION TO MARY. The lovely yellow or white daffodil signals the fullness of Spring just as Our Lady's fulfillment of God's holy Will signaled the fullness of redemption through her Divine Son. Because She is the Living Tabernacle for the Son of God, it is only natural that we show her the very same respect Christ did and shower her with prayers of intercession and with spiritual daffodils in thanksgiving for what was the true "New Springtime" the Passion, Death and Resurrection of the One Who conquered sin and death for us. One way to honor her, beside her holy Rosary, is the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Counsel is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. It follows Knowledge and Understanding in a natural progression of applying those two attributes to be able to convey common sense in full accord with the divine Will in whatever we do in life while always remembering to take our God-given role of passing on the truths of the Faith to others seriously. We will be held accountable before the eternal Judge for how we conducted our lives and Counsel helps us as a moral compass, so to speak, in navigating through life. It truly is a Gift we should all strive for, especially Traditional Catholics who have such a massive mission to enlighten those plunged in the darkness of the conciliar church and worldly values. Seventh Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Today is the traditional feast of Mary, Help of Christians. The invocation Auxilium Christianorum (Help of Christians) originated in the sixteenth century and was added to the Litany of Loreto by His Holiness Pope St. Pius V following the victorious Battle of Lepanto. This feast was instituted for May 24 by His Holiness Pope Pius VII. Though not a feast on the universal calendar it is celebrated at various places throughout the world where, for instance Mary, Help of Christians is the patronal feast of Australia and a double of the first class with an octave leading to the Queenship of Mary is celebrated with great splendor. This feast has also attained special celebrity since St. Don Bosco, founder of the Salesian Congregation, dedicated to Our Lady, Help of Christians, the mother church of his congregation at Turin. The Salesian Fathers have carried the devotion to their numerous establishments. In America it remains a traditional feast, however today we celebrate the Double Major observance of the Octave Day of the Ascension

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on asserting the visible nature of the Church as Griff points out though Christ used many metaphors in referring to His Church it is the same and continues from Christ with the same hierarchy, flawed though some of our traditional bishops might be today, they are still legitimate and due indeed have the authority handed down by Christ to preserve and perpetuate the holy Faith and they are protected by the Holy Ghost for He is the soul of the Church and wherever you would go in the world the doctrines, teachings, sacraments and Holy Mass are the same for He is with true Catholics and their shepherds. Whereas in the false church of Vatican Ii - the conciliar church - though there is a body of a church structure clearly visible, there is no soul because the Sanctifier has withdrawn His protection. Griff points out various objections in proving in Part Seven: Soul of the Church

On the twenty-fourth day of May the flower is the RED POPPY with the corresponding Virtue being FERVOR. The hairy-herbed red poppy, though coveted for its opium by those who reject its beauty and look to use it for the means of mammon, emits a milky juice that has been used for authentic medicinal purposes to heal the body. But it is the fervor of its elixir spiritually that drives the virtue of fervor to heal the soul and therein lies the true beauty of the Red Poppy offered to Our Lady in Mary's May. Only a week left to offer her a bouquet with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Understanding is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. Just as one would require the Gift of Knowledge as we showed yesterday, so one would want the Gift of Understanding to comprehend how the robber barons have infiltrated and usurped holy Mother Church; how the whore of Babylon tries to take the place of the Mystical Bride. It cannot last for through Understanding we know God will not allow it to continue and we realize that the Church, being the Mystical Bride of Christ, cannot err. Since those who pose as leaders of a church called 'Catholic' have erred and done so grievously and quite possibly intentionally, we know it is not Catholic. Through the Gift of Understanding we know why and we know what is truly Catholic and flee from anything that is not. Through the Gift of Understanding we can comprehend true teaching and alert others to beware of the wolves among the sheep and why the sheep have scattered for the hirelings care not for souls. This has been proven over the past fifty years and counting. The Gift of Understanding will enable us to know how to combat this apostasy in being faithful to Christ and His Church. Sixth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Tying in with the Gift of Understanding are Pope Pius IX's words from his Apostolic Letter Iam vos omnes in preparation for convoking the only true Vatican Council that convened on December 8, 1869. The following will help all those trapped in the conciliar climes to understand the heresy of Ratzinger's "subsistet in" he inserted in Lumen Gentium, which officially separated the Vatican II church from the true Catholic Church that Griff Ruby defines below as well today. Please read the excerpts of His Holiness' words very carefully and pray for the Gift of Understanding:
"No one can deny or doubt that this Jesus Christ, in order to apply the fruits of His Redemption to all generations of man, has built here on earth, upon Peter, His one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church; and that He conferred upon her the power necessary to preserve whole and inviolate the deposit of Faith, and to transmit this same Faith to all peoples, tribes and nations, so that all men be united in her Mystcal Body through Baptism. ...Wherefore, this Church, which constitutes His Mystical Body, will persist and prosper in her stable and immutable nature until the end of time.

"Whoever carefully considers and studies the situation of the various religious communities, divided amongst themselves and separated from the Catholic Church - will be easily convinced that none of these associations - whether considered individually or taken as a whole - can in any way be seen as that One Catholic Church that Christ the Lord built and willed to exist. Neither can they in any way be considered members or part of this same Church, as long as they remain visibly separated from Catholic unity. It follows that such communities, lacking the living authority established by God to teach men - especially in Morals and matters of Faith and customs, directing and governing them in all that concerns eternal salvation - thus mutate in their doctrines and are constantly changing and instable."

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on the demarcation of when the Old Law ended and was superseded by the New Law. Christ and His Apostles practiced Judaism until His death and upon His Resurrection the New Law began and was in full effect with a visible Church with all its powers in effect on Pentecost. The Church was a visible authority with a visible head. Today it remains that same visible society even if there is not a visible head for visible does not mean it is obvious to all the senses. Though we cannot see a true pope today, that does not mean one does not exist for Peter and his successors continue to rule through the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church. Griff explains in Part Six: The Old Law Prefigured the New

On the twenty-third day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the BLUEBELL with the corresponding Virtue being DESIRE FOR HEAVEN. The delicate bell-shaped flower which grows on many continents and belongs both to the hyacinth and columbine genus, is symbolic of the church bells that clarion souls to come to Holy Mass or to pray the Angelus, or during Paschaltide the Regina Coeli. The reason for prayer is not for socializing, but for turning our attention to God and the purpose of desiring things not of this earth, but of Heaven. The Bluebell's delicate shell chimes quietly in a whispy wind reminding us of God's call to focus on our end goal - our Desire for Heaven, possible only through adherence to all Christ has taught and established in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church He founded. It is a magnificent flower to offer to Mary whose entire life was focused on a Desire for Heaven and bringing God's children to that same goal. What a wonderful flower to offer her during her month of May with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Knowledge is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today. It is through this use of thinking that we can perceive what is right and what is wrong, to know without a reasonable doubt that, if we follow God's holy will by adhering to the teachings of His true Church as passed down through divine Revelation and Tradition, we will be relatively assured we are fulfilling the divine will and will embrace prayer as a way of life, thus improving our spiritual life and opening our hearts and souls, as well as our minds, to increase this gift in our daily lives. It is through knowledge that we can see the counterfeit church of conciliarism is not Catholic and in that knowledge to not compromise one iota with a false religion, and also make it each individual's mission as Christ commands, to warn others to avoid the Novus Ordo newchurch establishment like the plague. Often the Advocate speaks in a whisper to the heart and we need to be still and listen so we will stay true to our Faith. Fifth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

In that frame of mind, we bring you an article written by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey last year which answers readers who think he and we, along with knowledgable Sedevacantists, are tearing down the Church by calling Ratzinger an apostate. Au contraire for, as he pointed out and we emphasize, it takes knowledge to know how, why, when, where and what as well as who these heretics are and what course we must take to expose them and to promote the true Faith. Tom explained in his reply Quite Right

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" in which he quotes from the authority of theologian Monsignor Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - volume 2, "Christ's Church" on Christ firmly establishing a visible Church with full authority to those He "conferred upon the apostolic college and upon Peter their sacred ruling power. The Church is clearly a society and no society has been properly constituted until its authority has been established." Griff points out that this is evidence that our Traditional Bishops have that due and proper full authority granted by Christ and thus, he shows in Part Five that truly is a case of Authority Established

On the twenty-second day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May was the yellow BUTTERCUP with the corresponding Virtue being OBEDIENCE. We must always have obedience to God and we owe allegiance to man only when man's directive is in full harmony with the ordaining will of God. The Buttercup, with its five petals and small, humble appearance is a most fitting reminder of obedience for the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary are divided into three sets of five and begin with the Annunciation, which epitomizes obedience for Our Lady's fiat paved the way for the ultimate obedience to the Father with her Divine Son's Passion, Death and Resurrection so that salvation could be attained through the merits of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful flower to offer to the Blessed Mother in her month of May. Remember Our Lady this month with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Fortitude is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today and it is through perseverance that we can realize our heavenly reward, but only in striving to do God's holy will in all things. Fortitude fortifies us not to worry about what will happen to our physical well being or material things and never to put merit into the approval of man but always in the approval of the Holy Trinity for that is all that really counts. All the rest don't amount to a hill of beans. Yet to sustain ourselves we need beans and other nourishment so that we can physically carry out whatever mission God appoints for each person's spiritual welfare. Fortitude enables us to accept our crosses and whatever sufferings God chooses for His children and not to question. That isn't easy. That is why the Gift of Fortitude is so vital. Fourth Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists" for it is holy Mother Church Herself, infitesimal though she may be in this time of the Great Apostasy, who has been given authority. An authority of which the divine Vicar Christ has affirmed that these Modernists, who have usurped the throne of Peter over the past fifty years, have no authority over the Church instituted by Jesus nor over those who profess the true Faith. Griff utilizes the authority of theologian Monsignor Van Noort from the work "Dogmatic Theology" - "Christ's Church" on Christ founding a Church, which is the true Authority and that true Catholics comprise that true society - a permanent assembly - which has the authority via the unified bonds handed down by the Eternal Shepherd for His flock to practice the same faith, the same doctrines and traditions as set in stone by Christ and His Church with the same rights provided to each person of the faith. We must have fortitude to follow through on this for this is a dogma of the faith, and, as dogma, authority exists among the faithful ones as Griff emphasizes in Part Four: Direct from the Divine

In the conciliar zoo there are many beasts, and they cower to those whom Christ rejected because they rejected Him as Holy Writ documents. But homage to the Zionists remains a priority on the Modernist ringmaster Benedict XVI's agenda and that is the crux of what he demands Fellay and the Society of St. Pius X do if they want to join those in the cage of the One World Ecumenical Church of Conciliarism. One would be insane to buy into such assinine terms, especially when none of it replicates Catholicism. So what is the Superior General up to anyway? Truly he needs to be tamed, but the other three bishops better grab their whips soon and tame their out-of-control critter or it will be too late because Fellay could very well betray Christ just as Judas did. Would there really be any difference? Bishop Williamson, castigated by Modernist Rome, rebuffs Fellay, "On the one hand the SSPX is part of the true Catholic whole, 'one, holy, Catholic and apostolic'. On the other hand it had better avoid making itself part of the diseased Conciliar whole. As a healthy branch grafted onto the unhealthy Conciliar plant, it would necessarily catch the Conciliar disease. No way can a mere branch heal that disease." Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey provides proof that, under the circumstances, there's little to delineate between the original and the modern would-be Judas who was consecrated at the same time as Williamson by Archbishop Lefebvre. Tom exposes the charlatans in his comprehensive essay, Admit Bearer After Denying the Catholic Faith

For the twenty-first day of May the flower offered to Our Lady as Queen of the May is the bluish PERIWINKLE with the corresponding Virtue being PURITY OF INTENTION. It has been said the best intentions often go awry. One reason they do is because they may not be based on God's will. Through purity of intention, it is based on doing the Divine Will in all things. One reason the Periwinkle plant is associated with this is because the periwinkle is a trailing evergreen herb with solitary blue or white flowers, often also referred to as myrtle in the U.S. The trail of good intentions, if followed in a straight line toward Heaven will stretch further toward God; those intentions which are not cultivated and cropped by living a virtuous life, will scatter every which way and gather cockle and thistles, thus becoming refuse to be cast into the eternal fires (cf. St. Matthew 7: 19). Remember Our Lady this month with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Piety is the Gift of the Holy Ghost highlighted today and it gives one to pause and consider that if more people had piety there would be less wars, less hate, less animosity towards our fellow man and many, many more converts for man would, just through his piety, respect all that God has created. There'd be no need for ecological matters, politicians, even lawyers. Man would be in harmony with the will of God, but then who are we kidding. Few even respect the virtue of piety let alone ask it of the Sanctifier. That is one reason why our world is in such turmoil today because of the chaos in the world for the devil steers man away from humility and consequently away from God. That is why piety is so pertinent in loving God and respecting all He has deigned for the welfare of man's salvation. Third Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

There is no greater means of piety than the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey provided an inspiring short piece from last year on the liturgical progression from Christmastide to the end of Paschaltide during this time after the Ascension leading toward Pentecost and Trinity Sunday. From Bethlehem to Calvary to Heaven

Following his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff continues his a new series in alerting Catholics of the true course of sedevacantism for it is not opinion that motivates those who assert that the Vatican II "popes" are not valid popes for they have abdicated their authority through heresy and apostasy. No, it is the Church Herself through her divine Vicar Christ who has affirmed that these Modernists who have usurped the throne of Peter over the past fifty years have no authority over the Church instituted by Jesus nor over those who profess the true Faith. Griff quotes theologian Monsignor Van Noort on opinions of opponents derived from fallible and prejudicial Protestant teaching and the many false theories evolving over the centuries that greatly exaggerate and misrepresent, and yes, even deny Christ's true intent of what He meant when He instituted His one visible Church on earth for all time. It plays right into the Modernists' mindset. Griff relates these in Part Three: Denizens of Denial

John Gregory provides the commentary for the Sunday after the Ascension from Father George Leo Haydock found in many Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. In all things Christ must be honored and defended even if it means being persecuted for believing in Him. Our Lord conveys these final words to His disciples, foretelling of a time when the Jews and unbelievers would greatly harass and even kill them. Every apostle except for St. John suffered martyrdom. When Jesus speaks of His followers "being put out of the synagogues" what do you think they'd have to say about the conciliar "pope" schmoozing and giving credence to Caiaphas and all the faithless Jews since who persist in their error? What does he do? Not only participates, thus publicly giving scandal through his persistent heresy, but proclaims that the Jews do not need to be converted. But then what's new? In fact, he's done it so many times that few recognize the apostasy in their midst. We need only read what our Lord says about it in today's Gospel. Do you think Fr. Joseph Ratzinger has read that passage? Do you really think he cares? Ah, there's the rub. All hail man! Yes, Lord, we remember that You did tell us this too would come. Perhaps we never realized how bad it would be with so many duped into actually believing Ratzinger represents You. St. Paul says today "in all things God may be honored through Jesus Christ", not man. "They have not known the Father, nor Me"

For the twentieth day of May the flower offered to Our Lady for Queen of the May is the popular GERANIUM with the corresponding Virtue being ZEAL FOR SOULS. Consider that the colorful Geraniums number over 100 million plants grown and sold throughout the world every year. Each colorful, hardy perennial plant, while often different in color and even design, still belongs to the Geranium family. Now consider that in souls - 100 million souls a year being converted! Talk about Zeal for Souls! That is what we should all have and what pleases Blessed Mary so much. We should consider a person's soul much more beautiful in God's sight than a Geranium and tend to cultivating souls by nourishing them perennially with the Truths and Traditions of the One, True Church. Let us all increase our zeal for souls and pray The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Fear of the Lord seems to be forgotten in so many today who go about their lives without fearing what the Lord will do because of their hardened hearts and devil-may-care attitude that they can do whatever they want. Oh, will they be surprised. Let us pray it will not be too late when they realize the devil doesn't care because he already has them in his grip, but God does and if they do not develop a Holy Fear they will when they stand before their Judge and hear their sentence. Talk about fear! That is why to be truly Catholic one must fear the Lord not for the punishments He may dole to those who do not follow His divine will, but for fear of offending Him. That is where love comes into play for if we truly love God, we will care how He feels and do everything we can to alleviate the wrath of the Almighty Whose cup by now is running over with the offenses against Him and His Natural Laws. Let us pray the Holy Ghost will soften the hardened hearts, warm the cold dones, and bring them to the realization of how having a Holy Fear is a true gift of the Holy Ghost as we pray the Second Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

Following his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff introduces a new series in alerting Catholics of the true course of sedevacantism for it is not opinion that motivates those who assert that the Vatican II "popes" are not valid popes for they have abdicated their authority through heresy and apostasy. No, it is the Church Herself through her divine Vicar Christ who has affirmed that these Modernists who have usurped the throne of Peter over the past fifty years have no authority over the Church instituted by Jesus nor over those who profess the true Faith. Griff delineates between those whom Christ delivered from the Bosom of Abraham following His Crucifixion and those who oppose Catholicism, an antipathy that evolved over the centuries and spiked in the sixteenth century creating a visible division ever since. Griff lays out the process that will be taken in defining what the Church is and showing the difference between the narrow path of the Catholic Church and the broad swath of "Christian" churches with Part Two: The Church Militant Defined

For the nineteenth day of May the flower offered to Our Lady for Queen of the May is the rugged HAWTHORN with the corresponding Virtue being MORTIFICATION. This is appropriate for mortification takes being able to withstand pain and pleasure. The red-fruited Hawthorn consisting of dense corymbs of pink-red flowers has stems and leaves which are densely covered with short wooly hairs and must bear up under cold and windy conditions. That is why it is found in evergreen country and the mountains where conditions are rough for a lot of wind helps the weather-worn Hawthorn to bloom. How fitting that this coincides with the feast of Pope Saint Celestine V today for this holy monk before being elected, spent time in mortification among the Hawthorn flowers. He realized that mortification helps to toughen us in the face of temptation and the life of ease, allowing grace to blossom forth the aromatic myrrh of the Hawthorn. In fact, when elected the Catholic Encyclopedia says "unseen bells rang peals of surpassing sweetness." And speaking of sweetness, we encourage you during Mary's month to pray the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today we begin the oldest novena of the Church, the Novena to the Holy Ghost and if ever we needed the Advocate's help it is now in 2012 when souls and hearts have hardened and grown lukewarm in their comfort zones, which surely can't be pleasing to the Sanctifier. In the face of this ennui to the spiritual crisis that has caused so much destruction to body and soul since the death of the last true Pope on October 9, 1958, we ask when will we wake up from this free fall and grab the parachute God offers? If only we would reach out and make the effort to save not only our own souls but those of our fellow man, we'd see a tremendous change in attitude and conversions. It is what Christ commands us to do and that command begins with the only ones who have the jurisdiction and authority to provide the true sacraments to souls - the traditional bishops who hold the key to returning sanity and sanctity. Let us pray the Holy Ghost will touch them and move them to set aside their petty differences and be the apostles we need them to be, that God needs them to be. Let us dedicate this nine day Novena to our true shepherds with the First Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost

After his successful sixteen-part YouTube series "Sedevacantism - A Catholic Perspective" last year, Griff files a new series as he delves further, this time addressing the direction true Catholics must take for the sake of their souls in remaining true to holy Mother Church and the infallible perennial Magisterium of the Church. Thus he presents his series "Ecclesiology for Sedevacantists". In his first nine minute and fifteen second vignette, he introduces the standard Theological handbook that defines Catholic Theology, despite the fact that the author Monsignor G. Van Noort of the work "Dogmatic Theology" is not infallible. However, since one can count on one hand the number of true Catholic theologians alive today and because, outside of St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica, this is the best source to rely on in this time of The Great Apostasy. Griff touches on the term "body" of bishops which Van Noort refers to as a "college", but since such a moniker pertains to a specific group, Griff suggests "body" of bishops so as not to confuse as he begins to turn on the light against the scandalous and scurilous accusations against the true consecrated shepherds in proving their authenticity and authority to guide and guard souls. While you'll be able to see more vignettes by staying at the YouTube page, we're presenting one each day to emphasize each episode in this series as Griff commences with Part One: Shining a light on the Darkness

Today on the eighteenth day of May the flower is the delicate LAVENDER which is mauve in its lavender-like hues with the corresponding Virtue being MODESTY. This is appropriate for modesty is the cornerstone of chastity and purity. Nothing makes Our Lady happier than a pure heart and a pure heart begins with being pure in the flesh. What we wear governs how we think, where we place God in our lives. Like the Lavender, our souls are delicate and to be immodest in any way or not to practice custody of the eyes puts that delicateness in jeopardy. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost and we must strive to adorn these temples with layers of clothing that are pleasing to our Almighty Creator, not man. What also is pleasing to God is when we pay honor to His Blessed Mother this month with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

We publish it here in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Double of the First Class Solemnity of Ascension Thursday and the first words of the Acts of the Apostles and the last words of St. Mark all treated with the cogent comprehensive Haydock Catholic Commentary provided by John Gregory. The Lord has completed His work on earth. He has entrusted to His hand-chosen band of disciples, hardly saints at the time of His Ascension, His Spirit - the Holy Ghost. Within days they will be transformed and given the grace, gifts and fruits to carry out His command in St. Mark to preach the gospel to every creature and to assure them that if they believe and are baptized they will be saved. He leaves the dire warning so ignored today, that if they do not they will be condemned. Stronger words Christ did not speak. The sad fact is that so few have heeded His failsafe words. Haydock Commentary for the Ascension

On the seventeenth day of May the Virtue is FIDELITY IN LITTLE THINGS with the corresponding Flower being the beautiful LILAC. It is the little buds that group together in fidelity to the greater good God intended to emit the spring fragrance that is so pleasing to the olfactory senses. Lilacs grow in colder climes, meaning they go dormant - retreat, if you will, so that toughened in the rough weather they can blossom ever more magnificently. So also with us. The more trials we face, the more we grow in grace and the more we will be faithful in little things. Today is the feast of St. Paschal Baylon, the holy Franciscan Brother who had such a devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and died in the odor of sanctity. The fragrance of the lilac should remind us of our goal in striving for sanctity through doing the little things God asks and one of those is to pray the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

John Gregory provides inspiration for the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven in a meditation of the Second Glorious Mystery. The Son of God has gone to prepare a place for us, and thus the effects of the Ascension remain an on-going mystery for Christ continues to prepare for us at the Father's right hand and in that wondrous news is extended the greatest hope to all for where Christ has gone He waits for us to follow in a place of everlasting happiness for those who are obedient to His teachings and cooperate with the divine Will. Just as Jesus left instructions for His Apostles, He has left us inerrant instructions that, if we follow fully, will assure us of being with Him forever. John provides reflections on The Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension

In a two-part feature, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has drawn out the battlelines in what is shaping up to be, as he put it "The 'mother of all' traditional battles." While talk has been cheap over the last 40 years, it's action that will move souls and it's time to take such against Fellay and Ratzinger. It's a trap as we have warned for several years and Fellay is about to be mince meat. Yet on the menu is oyster stew and the three bishops must oppose Fellay vigorously, albeit war, to preserve souls. The only way that can be accomplished is for "The Three" to harken back to Oyster Bay Cove where "The Nine" discovered the pearls of the truth of sedevacantism and took the only course and conclusion they could: the true Church remains in an interminable interregnum identified by the Church as a time of sede vacante. If the three SSPX bishops follow "The Nine's" wisdom, the traditional movement will be strengthened in opposition to the apostates and then Fellay and Ratzinger can stew together because all Fellay will be able to hand B16 is an empty shell. Oyster Bay Cove On Steroids Part One and Oyster Bay Cove On Steroids Part Two

For the sixteenth day of the month, the flower is the LILY OF THE VALLEY with the corresponding Virtue being PUNCTUALITY. The purity of the Lily of the Valley can be equated with the parable of the Five Virgins who were punctual and had their lamps lit when the Master came; whereas the other five foolish virgins were not punctual and because they were not, missed out on eternal bliss. That is why punctuality in all things is a virtue so that we will always live in the state of sanctifying grace and like the snow-white Lily of the Valley be ready when God decides to take us out of this Valley of Tears. It is a reminder of the Hail Holy Queen prayer to Our Lady whom we honor this month with the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

On this Rogation Monday the intent is to pray for the harvest and appease the wrath of God which has to be boiling. What better way than entreating our bishops to take back what is rightfully theirs? Griff Ruby returns with the first part of a series on "Accepting Responsibility" because over the past fifty plus years it has seemed like the Church is a rubber room where we continue to bang up against padded walls with no progress. It's time to take it to a higher level and, in the nefarious chess game the Novus Ordo Vatican II church of conciliarism has been playing, the key is the true bishops, few though they may be, who alone have authority. Symbolized by the white bishop on the chess board, if they trust in God they can make the right moves to trump any move by the black-hearted apostates who seek to sweep the board clean of Traditional Catholics. It's time to bounce out of the constraints of the rubber room and take action. While we can be but spectators in the final moves, we can act as loyal pawns and knights to help move the bishop/s into position to take back the authority they rightly possess by the power conferred upon them through their unbroken succession. It's hightime to checkmate the imposters. Humanly, only the bishops can do that. Griff lays out the obvious in part one, Is the Church Really a Rubber Room?

For the fourteenth day of May, the flower offered to our Blessed Mother is the PASSION FLOWER with the corresponding Virtue being SACRIFICE. The greatest Sacrifice was the Passion of our Lord which was the greatest Sacrifice that resulted in the blossoming of souls through salvation for all who followed Christ's teachings? On this day let us remember also the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - same Sacrifice as that of the cross, for the victim is one and the same, namely, Christ our Lord, Who offered Himself, once only, a bloody Sacrifice on the altar of the cross. The bloody and unbloody victim are not two, but one Victim only, Whose Sacrifice is daily renewed in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass when the bread and wine are confected into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. This continual Sacrifice is carried on in obedience to the command of our Lord: "Do this for a commemoration of Me." There is no bouquet more pleasing to His Blessed Mother than worthily assisting at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where our souls should open wide like the Passion Flower to embrace our crosses sent so lovingly by the Almighty. Carrying our cross daily is what Sacrifice is all about so that grace will flower forth, so abundant in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today is not only the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Robert Bellarmine but also the traditional feast of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. However this year it falls on the Fifth Sunday after Easter and therefore there is only a commemoration of St. Robert. Since the 95th Anniversary of the First Apparition at the Cova to the three children of Fatima falls on Sunday there is no excuse for everyone to participate in the various Rosary processions to call upon Our Lady to intercede for her children in this valley of tears and at this very time it truly is a valley of tears because we have not heeded the infallible teachings of her divine Son nor have we stopped the errors of Russia that have spread throughout the world, probably never more evident than it is in 2012. And it's only going to get worse as the SSPX teeters on the brink of extinction, swallowed up by the ruthless condor of conciliarism. Pray the other three bishops stay true and connect the dots that Ratzinger and those who preceded him cannot possibly be true popes, let alone be Catholic. Pray the ranks of Traditional Catholics will swell through the storming of Heaven with countless bouquets of Ave's to stay the hand of God. Begin each day with the Fatima Prayers.

We can begin to work on this cure by praying her Holy Rosary each and every day - especially during her Month of May - and, if your state in life permits, all fifteen decades as a spiritual bouquet that will pay tremendous dividends both spiritually and temporally for those of good will. We also remind you to pray the Regina Coeli during Paschaltide.

In the Haydock Commentary for the Fifth Sunday after Easter from Father George Leo Haydock found in many Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament and provided here by John Gregory, we see in the Epistle by St. James only the penitent man who heeds God's law and will shall not fear. For God knows a man's heart. One can never hide from God and it's important to realize that as great as the Corporal Works of Mercy might be, they are hollow if the Spiritual Works of Mercy are not applied. To work out one's salvation in fear and trembling, one cannot be passive, but rather active for the good of souls as God so wills and in the Gospel our Lord reaffirms His divinity in His discourse with His apostles in reminding them that He must return to the Father Who sent Him. But He encourages them that they shall know great joy and anything they ask of the Father in Christ's name, it will be granted. Quite a promise that has been fulfilled ever since to all who comply with all He asks. Through Christ our Lord

Saint Robert Bellarmine, the holy Cardinal and Doctor of the Church is the feast in which Our Lady chose to begin her historic and vital apparitions to three children at the Cova in Portugal. This Italian saint was born on the feast of the founder of the Franciscans, but trained as a Jesuit and came through with flying colors in God's eyes in upholding the ideals of the Society as its founders had established. He was an extremely sharp polemist who was not afraid to take on the most vitrolic Protestant theologians and, because this master apologist never wavered from Catholic truth, he always won out in perpetuating the Counter Reformation of Trent. His fame, humility and sense of the sensus Catholicus won back countless souls who had wavered during the Reformation. But his wisdom was not employed only on the sheep, but the shepherds as well - the chief shepherds - for he was Theologian and Spiritual Counselor to no less than five Popes. He was the noted Theologian to the Roman Pontiffs

For the thirteenth of May the flower was the LAUREL blossom with the corresponding Virtue being LOVE OF DUTY. What a perfect day for this for it was the love of duty to the Church and Christ's Vicar on earth that prompted St. Robert Bellarmine to become a Jesuit priest and then to utilize all his God-given talents for the greater honor and glory of God and His Holy Church. Likewise, Our Lady appeared near the Cova and a copse of trees where Laurel blossoms might be found and her message was to remind her children of our duty to pray and to obey her Divine Son. She instilled in the Fatima children and from them out to all mankind the importance of the Virtue of Love of Duty. We have a duty to spread and live all Our Lady imparted and which was officially approved as worthy of belief by Holy Mother Church as is the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Truly Bishop Bernard Fellay has opened a can of worms as you can see the problems inherent by the Society are far deeper and the more they try to deal with the Modernist Apostates, the more they find themselves hooked and cast into the deep as bait. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey files the deja vú of the same ol', same ol' as he retraces the futile attempts of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre to deal with the conciliarists. It doesn't work and after 24 years you'd think they would learn, but no, Fellay goes blindly on with seemingly little care for the flock or truly comprehending what happens when the catch is reeled in, flopped on the deck of the decadents and left to rot. It brings home all the more the idiom the fish stinks from the head. Tom explains in his piece Uncrossed "T's" and Undotted "I's"?

In the same vein, Traditio.com weighs in with the news that the other three bishops in the SSPX have strongly come out against any kind of deal with Ratzinger and his ilk. If that is so, we can only hope they'll connect the rest of the dots and realize it's either or. Either they recognize Benedict XVI as a true pope and must submit to him and all the Protestant, pagan aberrations of Vatican II or realize he is not a true pope and finally admit the sedevacantists aren't such bad chaps after all since they've been right all along. Why? Because holy Mother Church said so, that's why! Fellay vs. the SSPX

On the twelfth of May the flower offered to Our Lady is the tube-like HEATH-FLOWER with the corresponding Virtue being RECOLLECTION. The Heath-Flower comes from the Greek genus Epacris - meaning "upon the hill" where it grows. Many believe they sprouted on Calvary but this has not been proven in such climes. Yet, it would be appropriate for the Virtue of Recollection is centered on the Sacrifice of Christ upon Golgotha where His Blessed Mother stood faithfully to the end. So also are we able to stand with her through recollection of the Mysteries of the Cross. Appropriately, today's feast of Sts. Nereus and Companions focuses on this beginning with the Introit Ecce oculi - "Behold the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear Him, hoping in His mercy." As the Heath-flower hangs down like a religious' habit, so to speak, - such as a monk in a monastery - to remind one to put on the garments of God in humility and recollect, so also practicing the Virtue of Recollection prompts one to look within the soul and seek in all humility to think of spiritual rather than temporal things and one spiritual devotion that brings this home is The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

In continuing John Gregory's dissertation on the Sermon on the Mount, he focuses on one verse - 23 of the Gospel of St. Matthew, chapter 7. One reason: Today we can see how so many blatantly practice iniquity and think they're getting away with whatever evil they so choose, no matter what mask or profession they hide behind. Do they not realize there is a consequence to every action? Oh, surely they do, but in their pride they don't care...not until that time when they will stand before the eternal Judge and try to plead their case, and then realize it will be of no avail for they did not heed Christ's words while they still had the chance and were given the answers in the Word of God and chose to taunt God by doing what they wanted, telling Him, "the hell with You, God." Then, sadly they'll realize it'll be hell without Him...forever. John lays out the discernment by the Magisterium in Sermon on the Mount Part Fourteen

On the eleventh day of May and the flower offered to Our Lady is the beautiful PINK ROSE with the corresponding Virtue being PRAYER. How appropriate that outside of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the most efficacious prayer is Mary's Holy Rosary. The pink rose so magnificently expresses Our Lady's true femininity and divine motherhood. Her Rosary which she herself bestowed to St. Dominic is a spiritual bouquet of roses we can offer daily to Heaven, a spiritual bouquet built upon the ancient prayers of the Psalter - 150 decades for the 150 Psalms of David the Prophet. Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today the world is a powder keg as satan reeks havoc everywhere both in church and state as the devil becomes more desperate while the proverbial frog continues to boil and so very few are aware how much the heat has been turned up. Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey tries to warn the few though he would love it if it reached the many because many - as in most - do not realize not only their freedom is at stake, but their very souls. In a two-part feature, he disects the current situation throughout the world and how it should come as no surprise to anyone that it is all playing out exactly as the prince of the world has planned it in using his useful idiots to carry the crusade against God and His Positive Divine Law and the Natural Law by duping complacent Christians everywhere because, well, most are lazy and simply don't care even when the most unnatural things come out of the mouths of those of influence in society who promote the unnatural, something we should never admire. Tom alerts us the revolution is on and we better be ready in Mutual Admiration Societies Part One and Mutual Admiration Societies Part Two

Also see his most recent article exposing two of the greatest offenders who, with their polyanna attitude towards heresy, enable the anti-Christian forces. Abiding Biden And His "Counsel"

Today is the tenth day of May and SWEETNESS is the designated Virtue with the corresponding flower for Mary's bouquet being the delicate JASMINE. On this Feast of Saint Antoninius it is appropriate that the Jasmine, a fragrant white or yellow flower, employed to flavor tea or in perfume, is the flower of the day since St. Antoninius, as the Archbishop of Firenze, sought to extinguish the noxious fumes of the false Renaissance with the love of truth and encouraging his flock to study and do penance whereby the sweetness of the fragrance of truth emanated through in souls being saved. Truly pure Sweetness! To enhance this sweetness, there are few things sweeter than the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

While spouting ambiguities as the standard party line of the SSPX by Bishop Bernard Fellay and his First Assistant Father Niklaus Pfluger (see yesterday and confusing the faithful with the concept to have trust in an apostate "pope", on the other side of the Society's seismic spectrum there is resistance from the other three bishops, most vocally Bishop Richard Williamson, who has admitted what every sedevacantist realizes: "Pope" Benedict XVI is not Catholic. Ergo, he cannot be a true Pope. Welcome aboard, Bishop Williamson. It's about time! Let us pray the rest of your flock also connect the dots. We find it interesting that two sites, which refuse to call a spade a spade and admit the reality of sede vacante, do indeed proclaim the chair of Peter empty by what they publish: Proof of the fact the Seat is empty. See What the SSPX Website is Saying from Tradition in Action and "Benedict's Ecumenical Newchurch Is Not the Catholic Church" (Bishop Williamson) from Traditio.com.

Today is the Feast of the holy Doctor of the Church and Bishop St. Gregory Nazianzen, the second of four holy Doctors honored this month. St. Gregory was another from the 4th century who also faced the intense persecutions and calumnies of the Arian bishops. Son of two saints - Saint Gregory Nazianzen the Elder and Saint Nonna - and the sibling of two others - Saint Caesarius and Saint Gorgonna - this Doctor of the Church teamed with another Doctor of the Church the holy Saint Basil to uphold true teaching in combating the heresies of his time. The holy bishop St. Gregory Nazianzen is considered the Church's Theologian. This Cappadocian shepherd also nurtured a young protege who would turn out pretty well himself, one Saint Jerome. St. Gregory is often called the Administrator of Theology

For the ninth day of May the flower was the majestic MIGNONETTE with the corresponding Virtue being the PRACTICE OF HIDDEN VIRTUES. Appropriately it is the Feast Day of Saint Gregory Nazianzen, the holy Bishop and Doctor of the Church who was a vaunted defender of the Faith against the Arian heresy and practiced the Hidden Virtues in winning souls to the True Faith while traversing the rocky regions of Constantinople near the Mediterranean where the Mignonette blooms forth abundantly with its spikelike clusters of greenish or yellowish white flowers. The Mignonette emits an intense spicy fragrance, at first hidden from the nose's senses until closer to it, just as practicing Hidden Virtues may not be evident to all until they are exposed to the virtuous life of the person for "By their fruits you shall know them" (St. Matthew 7: 20). We encourage you to pray the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

As the sands of a split sift we see the divide beginning to form as a fizzure seems imminent with the Society of St. Pius X imploding and all that its founder Archbishop Marcel Levebvre sought to uphold and perpepetuate will be cast to the shifting winds of conciliarism. The evidence is becoming more and more inevitable considering the remarks of the seemingly intellectually dishonest Father Niklaus Pfluger. He should not be confused with the radical Chicagoan and Obama bud "Father" Phleger. Though if the supposed traditional Pfluger is not careful he'll wind up in the same status as socialist Phleger: non-Catholic! We say that because by Fr. Pfluger's very words as First Assistant to the Superior General Bishop Bernard Fellay, he exposes his either total incompetency or deliberate deceit during a recent conference talk where the mask is coming off. For the welfare of souls, Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey takes him to task with a bold challenge False Doctrine, Father Pfluger?

There are a couple of feasts of St. Michael in the Liturgy. Very ancient is the commemoration of the dedication of the celebrated Lombard sanctuary on Sant' Angelo on Monte Gargano in Apulia, near the ancient Sipontum. There is a tradition that St. Michael appeared on this mountain and requested that a church be erected to him and all the angels. In the Old and the New Testament St. Michael, in the struggle against the Evil One, is always depicted as the invincible champion of God. The mystery of iniquity which, according to St. Paul, shall be boldly revealed in the last ages of the world and which has already begun its work of perversion, meets at present with an obstacle which hinders its full development. This obstacle is usually said to be the protection of St. Michael. St. Michael is appointed by God Himself to be the protector and defender of the Church. After the protective duty conferred on St. Joseph, there is no work on earth of such great importance and sublimity as that entrusted to St. Michael. For the full prayer composed by Pope Leo III see Complete Prayer to Saint Michael

For the eighth day of May and the Double Major Feast of the Apparition of Saint Michael the Archangel the virtue is FAITH and the greatest warrior in Heaven for defending the Faith is the noble winged general. The flower symbolized is the IRIS which blooms in the Spring and we must spring forward with faith to uphold and spread the True Faith, being irises who bloom where they are planted. Just as the iris is so functional to the eye, we must be on our watch against the wiles and snared of the devil. Count on St. Michael the Archangel - Quis ut Deus - He who is like God - to be our defense against satan who seeks the ruin of souls. Honor Our Lady on this day with the devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

As we begin to wind down the chapters of Book Three of the Prophesies and Revelations of St. Bridget, we come upon probably one of the shortest chapters in any of the books. Yet in this short quote from Our Lady, the Virgin's words to the bride reveal in an allegory how God the Father chose her from among the saints to be His mother and the port of salvation. Of all the titles accorded to the Blessed Virgin Mary, "Port of Salvation" equates to "Gate of Heaven" yet in a nautical metaphor for Mary is indeed the port to which all souls can safely steer. Why? Because Our Lord can never say no to His Immaculate Mother. And that is the glory of mooring our souls in the Port of Salvation for, as Mediatrix and Co-Remptrix she holds our passport to Heaven as we see in The Port of Salvation

On the seventh day of May, the Feast of Saint Stanislaus Kostka, Bishop and Martyr. The virtue is ATTACHMENT TO GOD and is represented by the BINDWEED which is truly not a weed, but a flower that is stately just as St. Stanislaus remained attached to God despite the pressure of his fellow Poles and even the King. He had only one King: Christ the King, ever remaining the loyal subject and attached always to God. It is most appropriate that this also falls on the First Saturday of Mary's month of May for there is no greater attachment to God than through His most Blessed Mother for Catholics realize to Jesus through Mary. This becomes a normal process if one has a fervent attachment to God and seeks to do His divine Will, one will always be joyful no matter what slings and arrows life and the devil fires at a soul. Mary will guide us to her divine Son and we see this in the Devotion of The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

John Gregory provides the commentary for the Fourth Sunday after Easter from Father George Leo Haydock found in many Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. How ironic when false prophets and antipopes are trying to justify the Jews in their sin, when Bishop Bernard Fellay ignores this after years of resisting in order to now compromise with the devil - that we have this wonderful Gospel of St. John the Evangelist on the truth. Our Lord foretold many times that the Jews would be a stubborn lot and indeed that has proven true for still today they brag about rejecting Him and expect faithful Catholics to tow their line rather than God's. More proof they answer to the prince of the world and not to the Son of God Who alone provides eternal happiness, re-emphasized so many times, especially in today's Gospel where Jesus promises He will always be with His children for He will not leave His apostles shorthanded. No, as promised, He will send His Spirit, the Holy Ghost which proves the Filioque of the Creed as we see in today's commentary for the Fourth Sunday after Easter, often referred to as Cantate Sunday for the Introit to "Sing to the Lord..." Promise of the Paraclete

On the sixth day of May, the normal feast of Saint John Before the Latin Gate (though it can be transferred to tomorrow) is devoted to the virtue of HUMILITY and represented by the VIOLET. This is so appropriate considering the great humility of the beloved disciple who took Mary as his Mother at her Divine Son Jesus' dying request on the cross, to look after her and care for her. Humility is something so lacking in so many of us and so necessary for sanctity. The beloved disciple John possessed this virtue throughout his life and in his inspired words of Sacred Scripture. It was this humility which prompted God to choose him as Mary's protectress and also preserved him from the boiling oil and afforded him, through the Mercy of God, to be exiled to the Isle of Patmos where he received the final account of the final days in the Book of the Apocalypse and was the only Apostle not to die a martyr. The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

While this past Sunday the world blindly hailed "Mary's 'pope'", the true Pontiff who was truly "Mary's Pope" was His Holiness Pope St. Pius V, who not only upheld her divine Son's Church in the face of the rebellious reformation by codifying the infallible, doctrinal documents of the holy Council of Trent including the Immemorial Apostolic Mass of All Time with his landmark decrees Quo Primum and De Defectibus in assuring the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass would remain pure in every way for all time ("in perpetuity"), but called upon the Mother of God to defeat the Islamic threat upon Rome and all of Europe, this despite being terribly outmanned in the Battle of Lepanto. As we know, through Our Lady's intercession, Don Juan of Austria and his Christian warriors were victorious in turning back the superior Turkish armada and St. Pius dedicated October 7 to her as Our Lady of Victory, since established as a universal feast of Our Lady of the Rosary for that was the weapon the Sovereign Pontiff called all of the faithful to employ in Consueverunt Romani in evening the odds against the infidels. Today we celebrate his universal feast and are encouraged to remember that even when everyone think things are hopeless, impossible, we can take great hope in remembering Christ's words in St. Matthew 19: 26, St. Mark 10: 27, and St. Luke 18:27, "with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." So also in our time when things look so bleak and the Church St. Pius V so loved and protected is in eclipse. The darkness will pass and the Light will shine again. We have God's word on that with Quo Primum and De Defectibus and Consueverunt Romani

The VerbumQUO for today on the Feast of the holy and worthy Pope Saint Pius V is "ædificábo" which is "I will build" for the Latin future first conjugation singular of ædificáre. This verb fits perfectly with Pope St. Pius V for he, of all Popes, built what Christ had established 1525 years earlier by codifying the infallible dogmatic decrees of the Council of Trent and set in stone "in perpetuity" the continual Sacrifice with the Latin Mass, often called Tridentine Mass from the time of Trent, but known universally today as the Traditional Latin Mass with his infallible Papal Bull Quo Primum, assuring the bread and wine would be properly confected through his decree De defectibus. All that he did in building safeguards and preserving the Truths and Traditions is, in the face of all the conciliar church has tried to destroy, truly The True Reason for celebrating Cinco de Mayo

On the fifth day of Mary's Month of May, the feast of the holy Sovereign Pontiff Pope Saint Pius V the flower contributing to the bouquet offered to the Blessed Mother is the MARGUERITE which represents SIMPLICITY so perfect for this holy saintly Shepherd who, through his infallible decree Quo Primum, sought to make worship so simple with the infrangible Mass of all Ages - the Apostolic Latin Holy Sacrifice of the Mass set in stone by the dogmatic Council of Trent and codified by this holy Pope for all posterity. How simple can it be? This is the way it is as St. Pius laid out in following the infallible tenets of Trent, and all one needs do is follow those rules and rubrics. Simple! But it is the devil who complicates things and therein we can see his complicity in Vatican II and how Our Lady has wept so at so many who who have apostacized from her divine Son's Church. They say behind every great man is a stronger woman and no one better illustrates that than the woman behind the holy Doctor of the Church St. Augustine. That woman was his mother, better known to us as the holy widow Saint Monica. She was a determined lady who, in God's eyes, can take full credit for what her son became because of her perseverance through prayer, which paid off big time in dividends that have increased the coffers of Heaven with countless souls over the centuries. Now that's moxie! But as Cyndi Cain points out in her long-awaited column, no saint ever was dependant on prayer alone for God intended others to be instruments in helping others to get to Heaven's shore. Such assistance can come in many ways from praying unceasingly for loved ones and friends that they will see the light and be protected by God's good graces to even praying for our enemies. Assistance is also necessary to help those apostolates dedicated to spreading the Word of God as Jesus commands us to do. While it pays to pray, we pray more will pay in donating to the cause. In so many ways it is not "I" or "me", but "us" and "we" for only together can souls be saved and that is the greatest of payoffs as Cyndi explains with her lesson All should strive for St. Monica's Moxie
Part of that payoff begins with observing the nine First Fridays. For Traditional Catholics it's a way of life as we observe First Friday Devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

On the fourth day of Mary's Month of May, the feast of Saint Monica the bouquet offered were the delicate, colorful PANSIES which represent the virtue of THOUGHTS OF HEAVEN. Few exemplified this virtue better than Saint Monica who spent every hour of her day praying and sacrificing for the conversion of her son Augustine. She constantly had thoughts of Heaven in her mind, heart and soul, praying so wholeheartedly for the spiritual welfare of her son who had gone astray. The pansies of persistence paid off as we know and Monica lived to see her son become a religious. All she had prayed for came true. So also with us if we offer Our Lady our pansies of heavenly thoughts, she will intercede before her divine Son and answer our prayers. IMITATION OF THE HOLY CROSS
This short litany prayer is said to have been found under the Sepulchre where Jesus was buried. It is believed to have been sent by the Holy See to the Emperor Charles V who was going to war against his enemies.
  • God all powerful, who has suffered on the tree of the Cross be with us.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ have pity on us.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ be our hope.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ turn away from us all sharp weapons.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ pour into us all good.
  • Holy Cross Of Jesus Christ turn away from us all evil.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ make us well in the paths of salvation.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ preserve us from all spiritual and temporal accidents.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ may we adore Thee.
  • Holy Cross of Jesus Christ now and forever.
  • Jesus of Nazareth, Crucified, have pity on us, make the invisible fly far from us now and for ever and ever. Amen.
  • (Holy Mary, Mother of God, St. Joseph, St. Michael the Archangel, and all ye Holy Angels, protect us.)
According to legend, some claim some amazing promises such as he who prays this prayer, or hears it read or carries it about with him shall not die a sudden death. He shall not be burned or drowned or poisoned, nor fall into the hands of his enemies, nor be vanquished in battle. A mother who reads this prayer or hears it read or carries it about her, will be happily delivered, and when the baby is born, if this prayer be put on it's right side it will be preserved from a number of accidents. He who carries this prayer about him shall be preserved from epilepsy. If this prayer be put on a person in an epileptic fit, he or she will be relieved if not cured. Our Lord has promised to bless him who recites or procures this prayer for himself or others, and to punish him who scoffs at it. He who reads this prayer daily shall be warned of the approach of his death, three days, by a divine sign. (source: Catholic Prayers)

That is the VerbumQUO for this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Finding of the Holy Cross Crucis is the Latin for "of the Cross", the singular possessive of the genitive and taken from today's Introit, Collect, Epistle, Secret and Communion for today's Proper of the Mass for the Finding of the True Cross Nos autem. The Holy Cross is the focal point of our lives for which we venerate and carry with us daily. As Christ showed that there can be no Resurrection without the Cross, there can be no Victory without the Cross for us. We must be willing to take up our cross and follow Him daily. Only then can we be assured of sharing in the triumph. This is illustrated in By this Sign we will Conquer

On the third day of Mary's Month of May, the MYOSOTIS was presented to represent THANKSGIVING. This bluebell-like flower is most appropriate for the feast of the Finding of the True Cross for some say it was the only thing that bloomed on Calvary after the Crucifixion of our Lord and Savior. If we should offer thanksgiving for anything, it is for the ultimate Sacrifice of the Cross in which we are saved and which is re-enacted daily in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.    The second day of Mary's Month of May is the Feast of the first man honored as a Doctor of the Church. That would be Saint Athanasius, the holy Bishop who withstood the brunt of the greatest apostasy in the Church until this present day when The Great Apostasy has arrived. It is in looking to this holy Doctor that we can take great hope and courage to stay the course and fight for the Faith as he did sixteen centuries ago. It was this stauch defender of Catholic truth, this Alexandrian Bishop who persisted against the Arian heresies through numerous popes. He was banished by emperors and the Arians four times. But in the end the True Faith won out, thanks to the persevereance of men like Saint Athanasius. Against all odds this Alexandrian Bishop persisted against the Arian heresies through numerous popes and was banished by emperors and the Arians four times. But in the end the True Faith won out, thanks to the perseverance of men like Saint Athanasius to whom we call on for intercession today when the VaticantwoArians had usurped the True Church and eclipsed Her, driving true Catholics into hiding to practice their faith just as Athanasius was forced to do seventeen hundred years ago. The more things change, as we see in today's Gospel, the more they stay the same for God's infernal enemy is our enemy and we should not fear man, but he who can destroy the soul. St. Athanasius is an ideal example of staying the course for he remains the Apostle of Tradition

On the second day of Mary's Month of May, a ROSE was presented to represent LOVE OF GOD. No one loves God more than His Blessed Mother Mary who humbly became the Living Tabernacle of the Holy of Holies. Mary is associated with the rose because it is one of the most beautiful flowers of all and her special prayer - the Rosary - is a bouquet of spiritual roses that we can offer her each day for her to take to the Holy Trinity in intercession for us as her Heavenly Mother who loves us so much.    Yes, it has been a while and, though we have come up far short of hoped-for donations, we are going to give it the old college try in resuming daily issues at least for the next month or so and see if donations pick up because, as we have said so often - without you, we can't stay afloat. That is why we also send out this "Mayday, Mayday!" in just trying to publish - as we try to stay above the surface despite the lack of lifeboats available in the form of benefactors - (yes, again that is a subtle hint that prospects have not improved in donations thanks to so many who lean on the lukewarm side). Those who persist in remaining on the sidelines will be easy prey for the propaganda that will permeate the media today and throughout this year leading up to the election as the devil's minions continue their desperate effort to eliminate the Light in trying to destroy all that Christ instituted. That is why True Catholics must issue their own...

...on this day and throughout May as well as every second of our lives. While Mayday can mean many things, this year it is sadly known more as the "Communists' Day", earmarked for protests formed by Marxist union thugs and Obama's own Communist Manifesto campaign intent on fueling class warfare by utilizing his useful idiots in the media, the eco-maniacs and ecumaniacs in the conciliar climes where, from Benedict XVI down, the "green initative" means red as in the color of the hammer and sickle. Don't believe us? Then see The Pact of Metz Just by that fact, we should understand it as a distress signal for those in trouble and that is practically everyone for, as a scribe from the Czech Republic wrote:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President."
That not only sums up the electorate, but the lack of concern by many in the concilar church who have grown comfortable and more blind over the past 50 years. But that is the consequences of forsaking the Social Kingship of Christ. To prevent one from being even more foolish, one would best turn to the one whom our Sovereign King Christ the Lord cannot say no to - His Blessed Mother Mary - our Immaculate Queen. Yes, we can take comfort in pleasing her divine Son by knowing what "Mayday" really means, for to true Catholics it is the day we begin the Blessed Virgin Mary's month of May and celebrate her as the Queen of the May and the one who has the answers to whatever "mayday, mayday!" signals we may send up considering the chaos that exists in our day and age. Think of the S.O.S. (Save Our Souls) message we can send to Heaven during this month with our greatest means of communication that trumps the internet, wi-fi or any other medium - the holy Rosary, Mary's holy psalter.

It is appropriate in leading off Mary's Month of May by honoring her chaste earthly spouse for Saint Joseph is the Universal Patron of the Church. He is symbolized by the LILY and the designated virtue in offering Our Lady a beautiful spiritual bouquet is PURITY. No flower is more significant in identifying the Foster Father of Jesus and chase Protector of Mary than the holy Joseph whose feast we celebrate and who is the symbol of purity, most always depicted by the pure Lily. Thus, as we noted, in some traditional chapels this feast is celebrated on the Third Wednesday after Easter (this year it was on this past Wednesday, April 25). Speaking of that, those observing the liturgical calendar approved by Pope Pius XII observe that Solemnity on May 1 with the very same Propers of the Mass and celebrate the feast of the holy Apostles Sts. Philip and James on May 11. While those who still observe the liturgy as it was at the time of Pope St. Pius X celebrate the latter feast today. We offer both Propers to our readers as well as the beautiful devotion below, prayed throughout May.
The beloved disciple Saint John the Evangelist was granted the blessing of the vision of a woman crowned with twelve stars, clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet. According to expert commentators, most specifically the Haydock Commentary in the Douay-Rheims version, this woman is the Blessed Virgin Mary, with her virtues and her privileges, especially that of her divine maternity. Thus originated the Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which Saint John Calasanctius, Saint John Berchmans and many other saints made it a practice to recite frequently, especially during Mary's Month of May.

In order to make this prayer more attractive, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort (whose feast we just celebrated this past Saturday) added to each Hail Mary one of the praises of the Blessed Virgin, with the invocation: "Rejoice, O Virgin Mary; rejoice a thousand times."

It is this prayer which St. Louis gave to his religious families (The Montfort Fathers and the Daughters of Wisdom) as their morning prayer. He also recommends it to all those who embrace the devotion of the holy and loving slavery of Jesus through Mary. We combine with this beautiful prayer at the very beginning the designated flower and virtue for the day throughout Mary's month for she is the Queen of the May. You can print it out so that you have a copy to pray each day at Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary Devotion
