December 2008 (dec2008.htm)

While arguments for Baptism of Desire might seem slim compared to Baptism of Blood, there are actually quite a few excellent references if one bothers to research for the full truth among the esteemed Fathers and Doctors of the Church that prove the actuality of Baptism of Desire, and totally refute the heresy of Feeneyism. In this month dedicated to the Holy Souls what better time to remember the countless souls in Purgatory, many there through the Baptism of Desire.

Griff Ruby resumes his mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty" in exposing not only the heresy of Feeneyism, but also the intended deliberate dishonest deception of those who have deceived. Throughout the history of the Church no true Authority of the Church has ever ruled against what is called the "Baptism of Desire." While it is true those souls dying without the salvific waters of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism would not be members of the Church Militant, they would be members of the Church Suffering, and a few, such as St. Dismas, members of the Church Triumphant. Thus, in this month of the Holy Souls it is necessary to refute those who harm souls by denying what the Fathers, Doctors, Saints and Popes have accepted and never condemned: BOD. In truly studying the quotes attributed to reliable sources such as Saint Ambrose, for example, one can see unreliable sources not only taking these quotes out of context, but applying an entirely different meaning and presuming they themselves know more than God Himself. It's not only the height of scholastic dishonesty, but sure stupidity, not to mention very dangerous to their own soul and those whom they mislead. Griff presents the first part of his treatise on BOD with, Fathers Know Best what Desires God Desires

Griff Ruby continues with the second part of his tenth installment. This series was launched in order to help souls. Thus this second part of the Baptism of Desire is published today, All Souls' Day for there are no doubt countless souls in Purgatory needing our prayers; many of those souls there through the baptism of Desire. While the Dimond Treatise has been well refuted in every aspect throughout this series, another Feeneyite deserves to be grilled on his scholastic dishonesty in deliberately leaving out the context of quotes that sway the reader to think a Father or sage Saint didn't know what he was talking about. Below you can see this in black and white, especially in respect to the respected Doctor of Grace Saint Augustine, and how the desire to defend Feenyeism prompts desperate heretics to not only stretch the truth about Baptism of Desire, but deliberately deceive by omitting the true intention of this holy Doctor of the Church and other Church authorities who have been quoted. In this age of instant gratification, we must remember that holy Mother Church has always deliberated slowly but surely. There are no such things as shortcuts, something evident by providing all the evidence to prove the scholastic dishonesty of Feeneyites. Desire to Know the Full Truth about Baptism of Desire

Now it can be told. Just as persecution laid the seeds for conversion to the true Faith over the centuries, so also did the Nine who stood firm and held the traditions as St. Paul urges in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 despite the tactics used by the Society of St. Piux X to intimidate and crush them. In the process the legal process exposed more than the Society would want folks to know.

In true Edward R. Murrow fashion Fr. Anthony Cekada provides the facts in a "You Are There" way as he details the history of the bitter court battles between the Nine Priests with Archbisop Marcel Lefebvre and the Society of St. Pius X. Though written last onth, we wanted to feature it for this issue sice Father explains the contributing factors such as the mentality of the Nine who would not make any concession to conciliarism even when Lefebvre took the same foolish course after the death of his great enemy, Paul VI, and his negotiations with Modern Rome as Bishop Bernard Fellay has taken with Ratzinger. Father shows what's really behind the SSPX agenda and how they set themselves up as the church when in truth they have no more authority, even less than a Third Order, Confraternity or Holy Name Society. Father details the course taken, a story that prior to now was one sided from the Society's biased point of view that has allowed them to play both sides of the fence while not only straddling the proverbial fence, but intimidating their own parishioners. Father shares an ingenious legal loophole that turned out to be the "Silver Bullet", as the Nine priests dubbed it. Six of the nine are pictured above. They are 1. Father Donald Sanborn, 2. Father Anthony Cekada, 3. Fr. William Jenkins, 4. Father Daniel Dolan, 5. Fr. Joseph Collins, 6. Father Clarence Kelly. Three have gone on to become authentic Bishops. Were it not for the Nine's brave stand for the Truths and Traditions in the face of strong-arming by the SSPX parties that would betray their mission, tradition would have been sold down the river to the conciliarists. For, as Fr. Cekada shows, to the SSPX it was about property and money. To the nine it was about preserving the Catholic Faith and saving souls from the Great Apostasy. Their efforts have borne fruit for sedevacantist chapels have almost matched the Society's efforts in the United States. In truth, America is genuinely globally recognized as a bastion of sedevacantism and great hope for the future thanks to the valiant resistance of the Nine as Father relates in his account The Nine vs. Lefebvre: We Resist You to Your Face

This special feature provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible continues during November. With the type so small in most bibles, we publish it here in larger type in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Sunday Mass, with the cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary penned by Father George Leo Haydock.

For the Double of the First Class Solemnity of All Saints, Father Haydock provides a plethora of commentaries on practically every verse of importance. While the Epistle identifies the sign by which we see what constitutes sinners striving to be saints - the sign of the cross, the Gospel lays out the formula for becoming saints with the Beatitudes which Christ our Lord explains with such clear simplicity that any and all can understand. These steps to sanctity are all contained in the Lord's Prayer, and the platform for being Christian in every way for saints are nothing but sinners striving to do God's holy will in all things no matter what the world, the flesh and the devil throw their way as indicated in the Haydock Commentary, Blessed are they who strive to be saints

For the Twenty-Fifth Sunday after Pentecost the Propers are taken from the Fourth Sunday after Epiphany. Father Haydock illustrates in his commentaries the literal and spiritual discernment of the Gospel on the significance of the ship - the Barque as His Church and that He foretold we would have terrible storms trying to shipwreck souls. But if we place our trust in Him as our Supreme Admiral, our souls cannot be capsized, even if there be mutiny on board and false commodores come forth to try to take the ship's wheel and steer it in a direction St. Paul has identified as anathema. We need only to remember that God can calm the seas (the world) and cast those who contradict His teachings into the sea with a millstone around their necks as scandal mongers. There are countless analogies and imagery of maritime in describing the Church He founded upon the Rock of Peter. John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary, Only Christ can calm the storms

For the Double of the Second Class Feast of the Dedication of the Archbasilica of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which supersedes the Twenty-Sixth Sunday after Pentecost this year, Father Haydock provides a few commentaries on both the Epistle and Gospel to show how the former dovetails into the latter for St. Paul's words "Behold the Tabernacle of God with men" is Jesus and our Lord confirms as such when St. Luke chronicles Christ's mission to seek and save that which was lost. It could not have been done by Abraham or any who followed for it was God Himself Who came down from Heaven and it is the Lateran Basilica in Rome which is considered the Archbasilica of Our Lord and Savior. Though there are not many commentaries by Fr. Haydock for this feast, there really doesn't need to be since the Scriptures say it so clearly. For that reason we can surely see the meaning of The Tabernacle of God with men

For the Twenty-Seventh Sunday after Pentecost the Propers are taken from the Sixth Sunday after Epiphany. Father Haydock provides in his commentaries the essence of what Christ illustrates in His parables in St. Matthew's Gospel today of the mustard seed and the leavened bread to signify the growth of grace by those who seek the kingdom of Heaven by adhering to God's holy will. This is referenced in St. Paul's Epistle to the Thessalonians wherein the Apostle speaks of the profit garnered through faith, works, charity with patience and a labor of love. The mustard seed planted in the Holy Land by our Lord has spread its branches to every corner of the world, fulfilling the prophesies of the Old Testament prophets that the Messias will utter in parables things hidden from the foundation of the world as noted in the Haydock Commentary, The Prophets Prove the Profits of Grace

The Twenty-Eighth Sunday after Pentecost, the very last Sunday of the Liturgical Year completes the one-year cycle with the apocalyptic warning Christ echoes and which the Apostle Paul warns against in believing false teachers. So applicable to today's Great Apostasy. Father Haydock provides several commentaries that, like a puzzle, all begin to fit together. Had Father Haydock been alive today, no doubt he would have seen how all the pieces fit to the tableau of the end times as Christ laid out and would have dealt even much further into the first verse of today's Gospel for indeed, as we have seen from Sacred Scripture in what the prophet Daniel foretold in the Old Testament of that abomination being seen in Macchabeus with the sacking of the altar and the end of the sacrifice with the false worship set up against and away from the altar, so also this is Christ's fulfillment of his omen seen so vividly in the sacriligious Novus Ordo abomination that has caused so much desolation of souls over the past 40 years. Despite the darkness in Christ's warning that very much dovetails into the Book of Apocalypse, His greatest message is the hope He sheds in assuring that His words shall not pass away. Christ Now and Always! John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary, titled "When you shall see the abomination of desolation"

Famed cartoonist Walt Kelly's words, voiced through his quirky character Pogo back in 1971, have truly become prophetic when we look in the mirror. Now what do we do?

Editor Michael Cain provides a sober commentary on how America has reached it's final crossroad. Where this country goes from here is either by falling on our knees in repentance and reparation, donning sackcloth and ashes as God's chosen people did in Old Testament times, or suffer the consequences of this sinful generation that has gone far, far further than even Sodom and Gomorrah had for that was at least confined to city limits, if you will, whereas what has happened in the United States has permeated every home. We have a choice. But what do you do when even those choices hold no answers? You look to the Answer, the only Answer to all our woes and trust in Jesus for everything. If we do not, we will deserve the chastisement that will grow worse, much worse under an Obama dictatorship. The similarities of Obama to godless, ruthless revolutionaries and dictators of the past is all too real to dismiss. Yet so many mesmerized citizens are following this pied-piper right towards the abyss, smiling all the way. Oh, when will they wake up? When it's too late? When will they realize there is only One Who can lead us out of this "Valley of Death"? Cain syllogizes our only sure choice in his editorial A Vote for Christ is the True Catholic Antidote

Miracles and wonders come in many ways. Is it any wonder then that one man, with no outer influence but what he knew in his heart, was open to God's will to help fulfill a request made 91 years ago at Fatima and to save souls in Russia despite Communist suppression and Conciliar oppression?

As a follow-up to the blessed landmark event that took place on the altar of Mt. St. Michael's Monday morning when the first native of Moscow was ordained for the first time in at least 50 years, we share with you the joyous and wondrous part of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's article from Tuesday on the aberrations, anathema and apostasy going on in Rome at the "Bishops'" Synod at St. Paul's-Outside-the-Walls with his piece More Scourgings for Our Lord From the One World Church. Buried in that excellent article was the beautiful account of Fr. Alexander Kryssov and we wanted to emphasise that part in a special piece excerpted from Tom's article. In addition, Through the cooperation of Fr. Casimir Puskorius, CMRI and we can provide you the beautiful, moving words of Fr. Casimir's Sermon for Fr. Kryssov's First Mass on October 13 on the wonderful ways of Providence in Fr. Kryssov's journey to the altar. We've also endeavored to place the excellent photos of Fr. Kryssov's First Mass, courtesy of Tom Gilbrough of Saint Joseph's Graphics & Photography. Therefore you can see those pics at Ordination & First Mass of Fr. Kryssov. We think when you read Tom's words and Fr. Kryssov's own account you will see how God works in mysterious and wondrous ways and how, if Our Lady's request ninety-one years ago at Fatima cannot come from the top since we have not had a true Pope since Pope Pius XII, then let it begin at ground zero in the shadow of the Kremlin and work up from there for the first step has been taken in Planting the Seeds for the Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart

On the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary, the Most Reverend Mark Pivarunas, CMRI ordained Father Bernard Welp, CMRI and Father Alexander Kryssov to the holy Priesthood. Fr. Bernard, who celebrated his First Mass on the feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Kryssov said his First Mass on the feast of St. Edward the Confessor, which also was the 91st anniversary of the final apparition at Fatima. If the conversion of Russia can't come from the top due to not having a true pope, then let it begin at the grass roots level at ground zero of Communism in the shadow of the Kremlin when Fr. Kryssov returns home to begin the process of converting Russia one soul at a time. After all, in the end Mary's Immaculate Heart will triumph.
