The Seeds of Faith

    Because the Liturgical Season of Lent, which officially began last week with Septuagesima Sunday, Having decided to bring you excerpts for this Septuagesima Season we this week focus on Sexagesima Week (the excerpts for this week - included at the beginning of the Propers of each daily Mass - are taken from Volume 4, pages 148-178)and we have thus turned to the most traditional and practical Catholic source available, none other than the inspired and motivating words of the esteemed Abbot of Solesmes Dom Prosper Louis Pascal Gueranger, renowned for his masterful work The Liturgical Year, which is often considered the Summa for the Church's Liturgy in History, Mystery and Practice. It is in those areas that we feel it is important to address in order to help readers live as better Catholics in knowing, living, and applying their Faith to the fullest and giving to Christ and His Blessed Mother all that they can. Few capture the essence as this humble but brilliant abbot who is known simply as "the Gardener of the Canticles of Eternity."

This special feature is provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible. With the type so small in most bibles, we publish it here in larger type in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Sunday Mass with the cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary penned by Father George Leo Haydock on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The commentary for Sexagesima Sunday addresses the importance of our having our roots firmly implanted in the fertile soil of the Faith. Our Lord illustrates that those not firmly nurtured will fall away when temptation and the sirens of the world, the flesh and the devil lure them from the straight and narrow path. St. Paul in his epistle reminds us that no one is immune from temptation for satan assailed him greatly, but with the assurance from the Lord that "My grace is sufficient for thee." as is evident in Sexagesima Sunday: Importance of being Rooted in Faith
On Wednesday we begin a 30-Day Prayer to Saint Joseph in preparation for his feast on March 19. This Novena to the Chaste Spouse of the Ever-Immaculate and Blessed Virgin Mary, and foster father of Jesus Christ also carries with it indulgences for ejaculations to good St. Joseph. The prayers are taken from The Key of Heaven, A Manual of Prayer by the Rt. Rev. J. Milner, DD, published with the Imprimatur of His Eminence James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore, 1898 and said over a 30-day period to obtain a happy death and other good intentions asked in petition.
The time has arrived to present closing arguments in the case against Feeneyism and the Treatise and Griff is prepared with over one hundred and forty incriminating exhibits that render those accused of scholastic dishonesty guilty as charged.

   Griff Ruby's mega-part comprehensive series "The Art of Scholastic Dishonesty" has been dedicated to exposing not only the heresy of Feeneyism, but also the intended deliberate dishonest deception of those who have deceived. As we illustrated over a year and a half ago, the flies have not learned. Now they are caught in the web - a web of deceit. Seemingly nothing can save the SSPX as they flounder away in the sticky, sunken schismatic silk trap woven by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Memo to Bishop Fellay: Don't say you weren't warned!

   Just a few weeks after suspicions of Bishop Bernard Fellay selling out the Society of St. Piux X came true, there has been fallout within the ranks and all hell has broken out in trying to turn the media spin upright. Benedict is getting pummeled on all sides and, for the most part, deservedly so for he has chosen Mammon over Christ. What does that tell Fellay? Do you think maybe by now he's had a change of heart? A big twinge of regret as all the dirty laundry of SSPX infighting is laid out for the secular honchos to sift through and hang certain principles out to dry. That is the modus operandi of the apostate Modernists - divide and conquer. This was foretold by numerous watchdogs within the Traditional movement when Ratzinger was elected and again when he issued his invalid Motu Proprio Summarum Pontificum. But most in the SSPX evidently couldn't hear the barking because of the din of denial coming from those who had been duped and who, prior to that, had been vociferous in their resistance against the heresies of Ratzinger. But they fell for the sweet talk and were so easily sucked into Ratzinger's web of deceit. Now there is seemingly no way out for those willing to compromise, to offer an ounce of incense to the idols of conciliarism. While confusion reigns in SSPX camps as they try to justify how Fellay's betrayal is being loyal to Archbishop Lefebvre, it speaks well for those who have not and will not cave to conciliarism and that is the Sedevacantists. Editor Michael Cain points out that the Thuc Line, (aka Rebiba Line) will come out stronger and increase their ranks when the smoke of satan clears and many within SSPX circles realize the truth cannot change and no union can be attained with an antipope who governs a different relgion, one that is definitely not Catholic. There is a positive side to all this and that is that Fellay's agenda will wake a lot of people up and cause them to connect the dots where they'll see the logic and syllogism that the true Roman Catholic Church remains in an interminable interregnum. For long the catechism has been the vehicle for explaining the holy Faith, laying out the tenets in understandable language. No where does the Catechism ever deny Baptism of Blood or Baptism of Desire, thus leaving the Feeneyites with empty pages for their arguments.

In the second part of his twelfth installment the Catechetical tenets are introduced as evidence against the fallacy that Baptism of Blood and Baptism of Desire are heresy. Rather the Catechisms overwhelmingly support BOB and BOD and leave no room for rebuttal for Roma locuta est whether it is The Catechism of Trent, the Catechism of St. Pius X or the Baltimore Catechism to name a few. Eldred Leslie, a missionary ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre, was murdered by a slacker in South Africa - to the apparent sellout to the usurper 'pope' by Bishop Bernard Fellay of the Society, which the Archbishop founded, and the thousands of Catholics who had resisted the conciliar concessions. Cain wonders aloud what happens to them and how do we welcome those who will be given the grace to see the error of such folly and will flee the SSPX. What shall we do when Obama's naturalistic nihilistic and socialistic reforms are revealed for what they are: Marxism? What shall we do when persecutions intensify against Christians, and they most certainly will, especially traditional Catholics who will be the first to be labeled 'hate mongers' because they love Our Lord Jesus Christ more than anyone or anything else and will not compromise their Faith for anything? He asks these and more questions in his editorial Now What?

The Dead Theologians Society are very much alive in their doctrinal accordance and they weigh in with living proof that overwhelmingly favors Baptism of Blood and Baptism of Desire as being in total union with the First Dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus.

For the Pacific Time Zone there's Holy Mass from Our Lady of Guadalupe for 8 a.m. Daily Masses, 6 p.m. on Fridays with Rosary every Wednesday evening at 7 offered by Fr. Kevin Vaillancourt. While it's true one must be physically present in church to receive the full graces, there are Spiritual Benefits derived from web-cam live streaming Masses.
