There is a conservative grassroots movement intended to express a show of appreciation for our troops overseas by encouraging all to wear blue on Fridays. We're all for it; not because we believe being in Afghanistan and Iraq is warranted nor has it accomplished anything - in fact, it has only made matters worse through bloodshed and terror by the infidel, causing untold deaths and uprooted cultures and families as well as unrest throughout the world, indeed, making our own borders so porous and vulnerable; all this while the culture of death is promoted by the UN operatives who go in on the heels of the soldiers to instill abortion initiatives (a far cry from the missionaries who converted the vanquished to the true Faith); no, we are for it because our military personnel in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, and Navy deserve our support and prayers. But were also enthusiastically for it for another reason: to wear blue on Fridays is a reminder of what that color represents: the Blessed Virgin Mary.

On Friday the Feast of St. Bridget of Sweden, we introduced a new feature in bringing you each day a chapter a day for meditation on the wondrous, Church-approved, plethora of prophesies revealed to St. Bridget of Sweden in the fourteenth century which, as you reflect on Our Lord's words to her, you will realize they hold even truer in our very time today. Thanks to the resources of Catholic-Saints.net we are able to provide this for you. The only difference is that we are parcelling it out to a chapter each day so readers can meditate on the contents of each short chapter and not be overwhelmed by too much. Today in the Revelations and Prophesies Imparted to St. Bridget of Sweden the Blessed Mother counsels her divine Son's bride about the improvement of good people among the evil in
We also encouraged our readers to intensify their spiritual life and strive toward holiness, by beginning on St. Bridget's feastday, the One Year Devotion of the Fifteen Prayers of St. Bridget in expiation for the number of lashes and scourges Jesus received during His terrible Passion. As the world grows darker, we want to provide the Light in how to apply It to our own lives so that we can truly live in and love Him alone. If we strive to do that, we will have all we need and, as He has promised, we will have it in abundance. Isn't it time to soul-stretch and exercise those prayers? Note: We have taken the promises off because of the caveat emptor presented by Fr. Casimir Puskorius, CMRI at Magnificent Prayers, Yes — Magnificent Promises, No Therefore click here for the Prayers of St. Bridget of Sweden
During October we can also call upon the foster father of Jesus and Mary's chaste earthly spouse Saint Joseph with the following special prayer, prayed after recitation of the holy Rosary: Prayer to St. Joseph during October
To thee, O blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our affliction and having implored the help of thy thrice holy Spouse, we now, with hearts filled with confidence, earnestly beg thee also to take us under thy protection. By that charity wherewith thou wert united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and by that fatherly love with which thou didst cherish the Child Jesus, we beseech thee and we humbly pray that thou wilt look down with gracious eye upon that inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His blood and wilt succor us in our need by thy power and strength.
Defend, O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen offspring of Jesus Christ. Keep from us, O most loving Fathher, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under thy patronage, that, following thine example and strengthened by thy help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death and attain to everlasting bliss in Heaven. Amen.
The Fatima Prayers
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)
O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
O Most Holy Trinity, I addore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!
O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's eight-part series on true Catholic teaching regarding the Church and State today focuses the bulls-eye on the great enablers of empowering their compromising with Catholic teaching. That would be the 'bishops' for by omission or commission they have been guilty for the confusion and have actually contributed to the rapid loss of souls in forgetting the goal of the Social Kingship of Christ by embracing Modernism. We can see had they heeded Pope Leo XIII's encyclical against Americanism and Pope St. Pius X's decrees and Oath Against Modernism, had they stood up to the likes of progressive anti-Catholics Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, had they been loyal to Catholic truth, the State would never have gained the pagan status that it has today. Abortion would be a non-issue because it is murder. Obama wouldn't even be a footnote. In fact, the Church may well have never given way to Vatican II. We can only wonder as Tom details the surrender of the prelates to politics in Part Seven: The Shepherds of Statism
As we draw nearer to the feast of Christ the King followed two days later by election day, we bring you the sixth installment of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's eight-part series on true Catholic teaching regarding the Church and State. Though man will always possess his fallen human nature until he is called from this mortal earth, while he breathes in this life he is obliged to understand his purpose and that is to do all he can to be reunited with God in Heaven. Nothing else counts for a hill of beans. No matter what solution one offers to improve the State, if it is not in total alignment with God's will for establishing the Social Reign of Jesus Christ as King and Mary Immaculate as Queen, all is for naught and it will perish for to gamble with worldly coins ends up in spiritual poverty. Yet, through what the Church has always taught, if one plays the right coin one can be assured of a winning hand when one stands before his King and Savior as Tom details in Part Six: Libertarianism or Anarchy?
With rebellion comes extreme organizations that are created to make up for the loss of a previous reliable need, such as the Church. With revolt against the Church came the rise of Freemasonry, spawned by the Machiavellian mechanizations that permeated and poisoned Europe and society to accept heresies and apostasy so readily via Protestantism. The underbelly of the American Revolution was its anti-Catholic stance in assuring the Church could not and would not interfere with the matters of the State, a less violent form of the Rights of Man, if you will. This same mentality was not only adopted by the early leaders of America but throughout the history of the United States as Tom illustrates the Masonic influence that has obliterated Catholic truth and what Fr. Fahey and His Holiness Pope Leo XIII had to say in alerting the faithful to the dangers in part five of this eight-part series by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey in Part Five: Protestantism and Freemasonry
Continuing with this eight-part series by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey as we get closer to election day, in part four Tom traces how the false concept of separation of Church and State originated with the anarchy of the Protestant Revolution in both Luther's rebellion and Henry VIII's apostasy in taking an entire nation and eventually continents away from the true path to Heaven. As time waned on one error after another compounded truth and we have ended up with nothing but errors because everything was premised on error to begin with in respect to rejecting the Church Christ established. Laws that are not divinely inspired or in harmony with the natural law will not only be abused, but distorted and used to suppress man just as satan intended. The fact is the American Revolution would never have occurred had Henry been true to God and listened to Sir Thomas More rather than the compromiser Cardinal Wolsey. The fact the English king was not true has laid the way for the chaos we face today as Tom cites Pope Leo XIII and Father Denis Fahey, CSSp as proof in Part Four: A Catholic Understanding of How 'Evangelical Liberty' Forged its way in
Over the last few steps we've been dealing with how the devil is so devious, and in step sixteen we treat the origins of these spirits who all started out as good angels, bestowed by their Creator with anything anyone would ever want. Yet, pride played a role in lucifer's revolt and the rest, as they say, is history. It is the oldest story in the world, yay, even before the world, and it makes one's decision in life very simple. It's either obey God and His Laws, which include adhering to the truths and traditions handed down by Christ and His Apostles through the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church He established on earth, or face the consequences of those who choose to go it their own way, a way that leads straight to the gates of hell. It is either enjoying the company of the angels in Heaven forever and ever - per omnia saecula saeculorum - or realizing one must abandon all hope, all ye who enter here (hell) - omnes relinquite spes, o vos intrantes. Hell is so very, very final and Christ shows us how to avoid the lasting agony of eternal damnation, but only if we are willing to obey His holy Will. It's our choice in choosing sides as we see in Step Sixteen, Good and Evil Spirits
Continuing with this eight-part series by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey as we get closer to election day, in part three Tom explains how by undermining the Church through revolution, the State was awarded an exaggerated expectation that all must depend on the State and anything from the Church would be considered interference and the two should not mix. This anti-Catholic thinking prevailed at the Protestant Reformation and French Revolution and, contrary to what many have been lead to believe, in America as well, for the Constitution was cleverly crafted as a safeguard against Catholic truth, shrouded as it were, in America-speak gleaned from the Rights of Man rather than the Rights granted by God and bestowed on His one true Church as the Beacon to guide the way of all souls. Tom shows how this was all corrupted and why through the decrees of true Popes in Part Three: A Catholic Understanding of the History of the State and Its Corruption
This special feature is provided by John Gregory. For the Twenty-Second Sunday after Pentecost Fr. Haydock provides a few commentaries that should hit home with the upcoming election considering the whole religious liberty heresy that so many Americans have bought into. Yes, we must render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, but too few realize the more important to render to God the things that are God's. We are all God's children, ergo His. The democratic system established in the U.S. has more and more forgotten that and incurred moral corruption in every venue of society, government and ecclesially. St. Paul pleads in his Epistle to not look for temporal treasures, but rather spiritual treasures. In this time when there is global economic collapse let us pray more take that advice. And in the Gospel, perhaps the best advice we can glean from today's commentaries in the Gospel and Epistle are the warning words of St. Athanasius, Pope Clement XIV, and St. Ambrose. When we go into the voting booth remember the latter's words, "A good emperor is within the Church, but not above the Church." The "emperors" who have been ruling are not within the Church. Yay, they are enemies of Christ. Enough is enough! Stand for the faith and render all priorities to God. "Render to God the things that are God's"
In light of the fact that quite possibly the most important election in this nation's history is a mere nine days away from today, we are bringing you an eight-part series written by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey, first published here in 2003. Therefore through next Saturday, in leading up to the Feast of Christ the King, we are bringing you an installment a day to bring all up to date on Catholic truth in informing Catholics on what they need to know about Catholicism and the State. Tom points out through documentation by previous true Popes and renowned Catholic theologians, such as Fr. Cahill and Fr. Fahey, the absolute fallacy of separation of Church and State for both are from God and that is the reason Christ established His Church on earth to work in harmony with both for the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ. It is only with the rebellion of man in the various revolutions beginning with the Protestant Reformation that heresy crept in and twisted the true concept of the State. Tom identifies the truth in Part Two: The Christian Concept of the State
Though the Double Major Feast of the Archangel Saint Raphael is superseded by the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost, it is important to remember this member of the triumverate of Archangels who is the least represented of the Archangels, yet is the one whom God sent to heal Tobias and drive the devil out of his daughter-in-law Sara where we read in the Book of Tobias how he is the protector and guardian of the sick for his name signifies "The healing of God." Saint Raphael is the “angelic physician of soul and body” and is St. Raphael is one of the seven blessed spirits who always stand before the throne of God. He is identified by many Fathers of the Church with the angel who stirred the Pool of Bethseda as related in the Gospel for the Mass when the multitude of sick souls gathered near the pools, waiting for the waters to be stirred, proving they were aware of the Book of Tobias and held out hope and faith that God would send His archangel once again. For more, see Saint Raphael the Archangel
In light of the fact that quite possibly the most important election in this nation's history is a mere ten days away from today, we are bringing you a series written by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey, first published here in 2003. Therefore from now through next Saturday, in leading up to the Feast of Christ the King, we will be bringing you an installment a day to bring all up to date on Catholic truth. In the first installment of this eight-part series on getting a firm fix on what Catholics need to know about Catholicism and the State, Tom lays out the various concepts of states which have cropped up over the centuries to erode the true concept of the Christian State. And believe us, the erosion has grown over the years where today most Catholics are totally clueless in understanding how we have all been so duped by revisionist historians and progressives, not to mention the conciliar cabal that hijacked holy Mother Church. Because all the confusion about separation of Church and State has contributed to dismissing into oblivion the necessity for the Social Kingship of Christ this series is so very necessary. Tom identifies and defines three of these states in his first installment, Part One: The Pagan, Liberal and Socialist State
Ars gratia artis, "Art for the sake of art" is no argument when it endangers souls and we have a long-running television program that has made mincemeat of morality and yet, the Modernists in charge in Rome have seen fit to bless this trash that passes as art and entertainment. We're talking about the Vatican's endorsement of the raunchy cartoon series known worldwide as simply 'The Simpsons.' Nevermind that it has effected countless souls to fall away from the faith and take up the bad habits, yay, vices promoted by the writers of 'The Simpsons.' No, for some reason that defies all explanation except that those in Rome have long ago sold out and sold their souls, they have given 'The Simpsons' not only a thumbs-up, but also have the nerve to proclaim that Homer and Bart are 'Catholic'. Yeah, talk about parallel universes! But then this is the same group who have fabricated the Fatima message which is easy to do when you've fabricated an entire new religion that out-protestants the Protestants. Truly the inmates are running the asylum. Cain tries to make heads or tails out of this topsy turvy mindset in his no-holds barred editorial From Springfield to South Park to Hell
The devil is great at scrabbling the path to Heaven with the roadblocks of anger, sloth, pride, lust, envy, greed and gluttony. They are called the Seven Deadly Sins or Capital Sins and not to capitalize on the corresponding virtues that stave off temptation to these sins is a sure way to lose the game of life, with the penalty being everlasting perdition. Because satan is so crafty and knows it would not be alluring if he showed sin for all its ugliness, he dresses it up to look inviting. Man in his fallen human nature is the perfect foil for the fallen angel who is the master of deceit. If we are not aware of the consequences we can easily be lured away, confused, even bewitched and bewildered. Those seven sins are the chief reason hell is so populated today. Do you really want to help the prince of darkness add to the numbers or do you want to love your fellow man enough to want salvation for him and do all in your power to know the Faith in order to keep the Faith and share that Faith with others by letting them know, as laid out in Step Fifteen, the Seven Ways to Lose One's Soul
Saint Peter Caravito, or Peter of Alcantara, as he is called from the city of his birth, died on October 18, 1562, and his feast was introduced into the Missal by Pope Clement X. This saint is distinguished by three characteristics. The first is the incredible severity of the mortification by which, like St. Paul, he sought to fill up that which was wanting in the Passion of Christ, for the good of the Church. The spirit of the Franciscan Reform, initiated in the new so-called province of St. Joseph by his endeavors, is one of great penance and extreme poverty. The second characteristic of St. Peter of Alcantara is the abundance of mystical gifts and the grace of sublime contemplation received by him in reward for his austerities. Thirdly, St. Peter is distinguished by the active part he took in the reform of the Carmelite Order initiated by St. Teresa of Avila. He was the first to examine
and approve of the spirit of this reform. St. Teresa, for her part, declared that she had never asked anything of the
Lord through the merits of Brother Peter which she had not obtained. For more, see St. Peter of Alcantara
