CHRISTUS REX
For the Reinstatement of the Social Kingship of Christ throughout the world

Almighty and everlasting God, Who in Thy beloved Son, the King of the whole world, hast willed to restore all things, mercifully grant that all the kindreds of the nations that are divided by the wound of sin, may be brought under the sweet yoke of His rule. Who liveth and reigneth with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

FEATURED IN THIS WEEKEND'S ISSUE:

Christ or chaos
Following up our open letter to the Pope - "When, Holy Father, when will this madness end?" in the Catholic PewPOINT editorial this past Monday, Dr. Thomas Droleskey explains why we cannot remain silent when it comes to the Pope and his actions. Contrary to what some outraged neo-Catholics think, we are not being "anti-Catholic" or "in schism" if we dare to criticize the Pope when he acts contrary to what was handed down to him. The truth is we are being anti-Catholic and definitely in schism if we do not oppose his will as St. Robert Bellarmine says. Tom gives the syllogism of the LA Cathedral and the decatholicization of LA under Cardinal Mahony's watch as an example of how far this has gone and how dumbed-down so many Catholics are who fall in lock-step with the blind obedience factor. Tom explains thoroughly in The Pope's Cathedral

Traditional Insight
With so many liberals, especially the new squeaky voice trying to make noise - "Voice of the Faithful" - lobbying for a relaxation of celibacy restrictions that would allow married priests, Mario Derksen presents a succinct reply to those who cry that celibacy is the "albatross" which has caused vocations to dry up. It is the anchor to assuring stability of the Faith. The fact that so many have relaxed their own consciences shows that a man of God must be pure - inside and out. Mario provides Scriptural and Ecclesial justification for why celibacy is mandatory. The Apostle Paul had a good idea and throughout her history, the Church, in her wisdom has shown the fruits of priests living a chaste life. Remain chaste, vocations will flourish. Mario verifies this in his column Why Celibacy?.
"Qui legit, intelligat"
While it is also the 23rd Sunday After Pentecost, Sunday is primarily the Feast of the Sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ, Supreme King. Therefore this weekend we bring you Father Louis Campbell's sermon for this feast, which was set as the last Sunday in October through Pope Pius XI's encyclical Quas Primas in 1925. The full contents of this encyclical we make available to the reader in this issue below. In his sermon Father reminds us what Pius said: that there can be no peace until we have sought with our whole mind, our whole body, our whole soul the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ in all nations. There is no peace because there are no more Catholic States. The modern state has taken over as Atila Sinke Guimar„es confirmed in his article this past Monday in how Catholic Doctrine undeniably opposes the Modern State. There must be a Catholic State, but, as Fr. Louis points out, since the death of Pope Pius XII this "Glory of God" has been ignored in favor of the glory of man. Father explains in his sermon Christ Our King! Now and Forever!
Papal Decrees
The Encyclical Father Louis Campbell refers to above is included here in its entirety. It is the masterful declaration by Pope Pius XI issued on December 11, 1925 in which he justified the necessity for not only a set solemn feast for the Sovereignty of Christ the King, but the necessity to work with every fiber of our being for the Social Kingship of the Supreme King in every nation in opposing the Modern State. See Quas Primas.
Liturgy of the Saints
Friday is the Simple Feast of the Martyrs Saint Chrysanthus and Saint Daria; Saturday is the Traditional Feast of Pope Saint Evaristus, 5th Successor of Peter who was martyred in 108. Saturday is also the anticipated Vigil for Monday's Double of the Second Class Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles and Martyrs. Sunday, the 23rd Sunday After Pentecost and the last Sunday in October is the Solemn Feast of Christ the King - officially called the Sovereignty of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Supreme King. For more on this weekend's feasts, see Christ the King.

Election Reflections
With the issue of abortion as the primary, major and only issue as far as Catholics are concerned, Mario Derksen lays out exactly what every Catholic - regardless of their affiliation to a political party - MUST do! When it comes to any candidate, there is only one issue!!! You MUST vote for the one who is the most pro-life. If neither are, DON'T VOTE for either one! To vote for a known pro-abort candidate, whether you think so or not, is truly being an accomplice to murder. That is a mortal sin. If you don't believe so, read his article and see the obvious, graphic "Holocaust of the Womb" and ask yourself if you won't be held accountable to God for enabling such horror by your vote?!! Mario explains quite clearly and graphically honest in his feature "Election Reflections" which we invite you to read at his Catholic Insights site in his column Election Reflections

Pro Life Prescriptions
Wednesday, Dr. Frank Joseph addressed an open letter to the bishops of the United States. Whether they read it or not, the truths and consequences inherent in his column illustrate only too well how far our shepherds have fallen and why Roe v. Wade still rules the roost in America. In the spirit of St. Teresa of Avila, Dr. Frank gets down to basics and respectfully warns the bishops that if they don't alert their flocks to the imminent dangers of condoning terrorism in the womb by voting for pro-abort candidates, the everlasting terror of hell may await not only those who refuse to obey God's laws, but those who administer them as well. What good are the Canons and tenets of the Faith if those entrusted to uphold the unchangeable teachings of the Church are more fearful of offending the enemies of God rather than upholding God's holy laws? He lovingly, but firmly emphasizes to them that if they do not do something, "let the blood of the innocents be on your hands and heads." Strong words that are needed to roust these lackards off their duffs as he entreats the bishops to truly be the successors of the apostles in his column A Final Warning Plea to the Bishops

The Rosary of Mary: our most powerful weapon. October is Our Lady's month, the month of the Holy Rosary. It is also the month we remember her victory for all of Christendom at Lepanto and the 85th Anniversary of the final apparition at Fatima, the day the sun danced. Truly October is Our Lady's time, the month of the Holy Rosary. Pray for the unborn and that abortion will not be compromised by the political expediency of the times where misguided prelates mistakenly join the Death Penalty with the Abortion issue. The Catholic Church condemns abortion, not capital punishment. Pray that the flocks will not be further deceived. Click on the Rosary button to recite the full Rosary in either English or Latin.
