    St. Raphael the Archangel

Vouchsafe, O Lord God, to send holy Raphael the Archangel to aid us: and may he whom we believe ever to stand before Thy Majesty, present our poor prayers to be blessed by Thee. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with The in the unity of the Holy Ghost, One God, world without end. Amen.

Postcommunion for today's Holy Mass. This prayer also carries with it an indulgence of 3 years each time it is recited. A Plenary indulgence is granted once a month under the usual conditions when this prayer is recited daily.

    FEATURED IN TODAY'S ISSUE:

    Traditional Thoughts
Co-author with Christopher Ferrara of the best-seller The Great Façade, Dr. Thomas E. Woods, Jr. answers his critics loud and clear, specifically The Wanderer, that Traditionalists are not going to sit back and be fodder for the foolishness of neo-Catholics who are enabling the enemy through their own stubbornness and refusal to admit the obvious: Traditional Catholics are right, the facts speak for themselves. Tom points out - in an article reprinted from this month's CATHOLIC FAMILY NEWS with the kind permission of editor John Vennari - that to continue to defend the Newchurch and its sorry track record over the past 40 years only makes neo-Catholic "experts" more foolish. Dr. Woods illustrates how the road they are traveling is nothing but The Neo-Catholic Dead-End!.

    The Germs of G.I.R.M.
Today we bring you part fifty-six of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's well-received, thought-provoking series on G.I.R.M. warfare as he continues analyzing and commenting on the ambiguity and errors in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal and the ICEL operatives who have contributed to promulgating this atrocity. In this issue Tom analyzes paragraphs 127 through 134, dealing with the innovations in the "Liturgy of the Word" novelty that has so robotized the faithful to accept whatever mania comes down the pike, fostering the mantra of mass destruction - "the very destruction of the faithful's belief in the Mass as the unbloody representation of Calvary." Tom points this out in The Mantra of Man's Mania .
Appreciating the Precious Gift of our Faith
In this issue we continue with our catechesis series from My Catholic Faith. Today we return to the Sacraments with the last of the Sacraments, Extreme Unction. It is not called that in the new lexicon of the post-conciliar Church and, indeed, its importance and actions are not emphasized as much as they should be. It has become more of the "Sacrament of the Sick" with emphasis on the Last Four Things - Death, Purgatory, Heaven and Hell diminished. In today's installment, we show the proper way this sacrament had always been carried out in the Church up until Paul VI thought he had a better idea to streamline this sacrament, one better than God's. The Sacrament is explained in The Sacrament of Extreme Unction .
    Liturgy of the Saints
Today is the Double Major Feast of the Archangel Raphael. This feast was extended to the Universal Church by Pope Benedict XV. Raphael is known to all because of the inspired words of the Book of Tobias. Raphael is the angelical physician of soul and body. For more, see Saint Raphael the Archangel.
The Rosary of Mary: our most powerful weapon. October is Our Lady's month, the month of the Holy Rosary. It is also the month we remember her victory for all of Christendom at Lepanto and the 85th Anniversary of the final apparition at Fatima, the day the sun danced. Truly October is Our Lady's time, the month of the Holy Rosary. Pray for the unborn and that abortion will not be compromised by the political expediency of the times where misguided prelates mistakenly join the Death Penalty with the Abortion issue. The Catholic Church condemns abortion, not capital punishment. Pray that the flocks will not be further deceived. Click on the Rosary link to recite the full Rosary in either English or Latin.

    Election Reflections
With the issue of abortion as the primary, major and only issue as far as Catholics are concerned, Mario Derksen lays out exactly what every Catholic - regardless of their affiliation to a political party - MUST do! When it comes to any candidate, there is only one issue!!! You MUST vote for the one who is the most pro-life. If neither are, DON'T VOTE for either one! To vote for a known pro-abort candidate, whether you think so or not, is truly being an accomplice to murder. That is a mortal sin. If you don't believe so, read his article and see the obvious, graphic "Holocaust of the Womb" and ask yourself if you won't be held accountable to God for enabling such horror by your vote?!! Mario explains quite clearly and graphically honest in his feature "Election Reflections" which we invite you to read at his Catholic Insights site in his column Election Reflections
    Pro Life Prescriptions
Wednesday, Dr. Frank Joseph addressed an open letter to the bishops of the United States. Whether they read it or not, the truths and consequences inherent in his column illustrate only too well how far our shepherds have fallen and why Roe v. Wade still rules the roost in America. In the spirit of St. Teresa of Avila, Dr. Frank gets down to basics and respectfully warns the bishops that if they don't alert their flocks to the imminent dangers of condoning terrorism in the womb by voting for pro-abort candidates, the everlasting terror of hell may await not only those who refuse to obey God's laws, but those who administer them as well. What good are the Canons and tenets of the Faith if those entrusted to uphold the unchangeable teachings of the Church are more fearful of offending the enemies of God rather than upholding God's holy laws? He lovingly, but firmly emphasizes to them that if they do not do something, "let the blood of the innocents be on your hands and heads." Strong words that are needed to roust these lackards off their duffs as he entreats the bishops to truly be the successors of the apostles in his column A Final Warning Plea to the Bishops
During this Respect Life Month, we urge you to pray and campaign for true Pro-Life candidates who place the abortion issue as paramount. For incumbants who lack the qualities of moral conviction to uphold Christ's teachings and Laws, we provide HEROD'S HEROES
To see WHICH PRO-LIFE CANDIDATES TO VOTE FOR, we strongly urge you to go to WE VOTE PRO LIFE!!!
