    St. Luke the Evangelist

Let holy Luke, Thine Evangelist, we beseech Thee, O Lord, intercede for us, who for the glory of Thy name ever bore in his body the mortification of the Cross. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

    FEATURED IN THIS WEEKEND'S ISSUE:

    Traditional Insight
This weekend Mario Derksen wraps up his series on "Humanism and John Paul II" with part fifteen in which he pinpoints the egregious ecological bent of the pope, fiddling away with novelty after humanistic novelty while the rest of Rome burns in scandal and heresy. Mario points to what past pontiffs said about the novelty being bandied about and the phemononological anthropology that was ingrained in Karol Wojtyla and how now his personal opinions are foisted on the faithful as the 'new evangelization.' There has to be a halt somewhere to this novelty that long ago crossed the line to what is true Catholicism as Mario details in his column A Plethora of Phenomenological Personalism!.

    Christ or chaos
As a follow-up to Atila Sinke Guimaraes' article last week on the Communist leanings of the Brazilian cardinals, Dr. Thomas Droleskey exposes one even closer to home who has had the same leanings. A little over a week ago James Earl Carter was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace. Because of his involvement with Habitat for Humanity many might applaud his selection, but a closer look at the man and his humanism and the situation in the world today reveals one who has been sympathetic to Communism and must take responsibility for beginning the decline of the American military might. In truth, long before Bill Clinton there was the waffler Jimmy Carter, the original "pander bear" who, like the Liberation Theologists of South America, are showing their stripes in not only being sympathetic to Communism, but outright embracing and foisting the errors of Marx on the rest of mankind. Through it all the Reds have been playing Jimmy like a Georgia fiddle as Tom explains in Ever the Appeaser
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
This weekend we bring you the Sermon Father Louis Campbell gave last year on the 22nd Sunday After Pentecost. Father reminds us of the Apostle Paul's prophesy received from the Holy Ghost, "Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy, and having their consciences seared." (1 Timothy 4: 1-2). He calls on the virtuous and persecuted Catholics striving to preserve the precious Faith and uphold the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church to be "Children of the Light" citing the wise words of the renowned abbot Dom Gueranger. Father explains in his sermon Greatness Thrust Upon Them
    Liturgy of the Saints
Friday is the Double of the Second Class Feast of the Saint Luke the Evangelist, followed by Saturday's Double Feast of Saint Peter of Alcantara, Franciscan priest and reformer. Sunday is the 22nd Sunday After Pentecost as well as the Semi-Double Feast of Saint John Cantius, priest and confessor. For more on this weekend's feasts, see Saint Luke the Evangelist.

    Election Reflections
With the issue of abortion as the primary, major and only issue as far as Catholics are concerned, Mario Derksen lays out exactly what every Catholic - regardless of their affiliation to a political party - MUST do! When it comes to any candidate, there is only one issue!!! You MUST vote for the one who is the most pro-life. If neither are, DON'T VOTE for either one! To vote for a known pro-abort candidate, whether you think so or not, is truly being an accomplice to murder. That is a mortal sin. If you don't believe so, read his article and see the obvious, graphic "Holocaust of the Womb" and ask yourself if you won't be held accountable to God for enabling such horror by your vote?!! Mario explains quite clearly and graphically honest in his feature "Election Reflections" which we invite you to read at his Catholic Insights site in his column Election Reflections
    Pro Life Prescriptions
Wednesday, Dr. Frank Joseph addressed an open letter to the bishops of the United States. Whether they read it or not, the truths and consequences inherent in his column illustrate only too well how far our shepherds have fallen and why Roe v. Wade still rules the roost in America. In the spirit of St. Teresa of Avila, Dr. Frank gets down to basics and respectfully warns the bishops that if they don't alert their flocks to the imminent dangers of condoning terrorism in the womb by voting for pro-abort candidates, the everlasting terror of hell may await not only those who refuse to obey God's laws, but those who administer them as well. What good are the Canons and tenets of the Faith if those entrusted to uphold the unchangeable teachings of the Church are more fearful of offending the enemies of God rather than upholding God's holy laws? He lovingly, but firmly emphasizes to them that if they do not do something, "let the blood of the innocents be on your hands and heads." Strong words that are needed to roust these lackards off their duffs as he entreats the bishops to truly be the successors of the apostles in his column A Final Warning Plea to the Bishops

The Rosary of Mary: our most powerful weapon. October is Our Lady's month, the month of the Holy Rosary. It is also the month we remember her victory for all of Christendom at Lepanto and the 85th Anniversary of the final apparition at Fatima, the day the sun danced. Truly October is Our Lady's time, the month of the Holy Rosary. Pray for the unborn and that abortion will not be compromised by the political expediency of the times where misguided prelates mistakenly join the Death Penalty with the Abortion issue. The Catholic Church condemns abortion, not capital punishment. Pray that the flocks will not be further deceived. Click on the Rosary link to recite the full Rosary in either English or Latin.

During this Respect Life Month, we urge you to pray and campaign for true Pro-Life candidates who place the abortion issue as paramount. For incumbants who lack the qualities of moral conviction to uphold Christ's teachings and Laws, we provide HEROD'S HEROES
