It's time to call a spade a spade for the sake of the King of all hearts!

The Balance of Nature is Tilted because we've been messing with God's deck!

"Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it."
"Is it possible some pro-life politicians don’t want to hurt the feeling of their pro-choice opponents? They need to expose the party that claims to be the party of the weak and downtrodden, but in truth is a party that promotes the “culture of death” and doesn’t give a darn about the most weak and downtrodden of all -- prenatal babies, who are waiting to be born. They would sooner save a tree, animal or fish."
Today, Dr. Frank Joseph expresses his concern that those in the highest echelons of the Bush administration, namely Vice President Dick Cheney, shy away from calling abortion what it truly is: murder. Are he and many of his Republican counterparts, who profess to be pro-life, afraid they'll offend those who have no trouble offending God and upsetting the Almighty's balance of nature? It's time to deal straight answers or foldem' and weep. For his column, What are they afraid of?, see PRO LIFE PRESCRIPTIONS

Priests for Life will never condone or promote violence.
"It is the rhetoric of 'choice' that fuels violence. By exalting 'choice' and 'freedom,' even when the free choice is the killing of a human being, this rhetoric degrades the value of all human life. 'Abortion on demand - no apologies.' That is the rhetoric of violence. It does not deny that abortion kills children. It simply says, 'I don't care. My choice is more important than the child's life.'"
Today, Father Frank Pavone responds to the lies being circulated by the staunchest of pro-abort politicians and those the ilk of NARAL's Kate Michelman and Patricia Ireland of NOW who have made accusations that Fr. Frank and the Priests for Life are mounting a campaign encouraging violence at the abortuaries this summer through their 'rhetoric.' Lies! All lies and Father clearly exposes this in his column in today's issue. For his column, Whose "Rhetoric" Leads to Violence? see PRO LIFE PRESCRIPTIONS

The priest is not there to entertain the faithful, but to edify and offer the Holy Sacrifice as an 'alter Christus' in the most sacred, serene and reverent of ways

"What is the meaning of the oft-repeated phrase that a priest is not to 'add, remove, or to change anything in the celebration of the Mass' when he can claim that he is adapting and/or accommodating the Mass to meet certain local needs? Paragraphs 23 and 24 are thus laughable in that they attempt to undo the Socratic principle of non-contradiction: two mutually exclusive concepts - choices of adaptation entrusted to a priest celebrant and an admonition against experimentation - are contained within the same paragraph. Just boggles a little Thomistically-oriented mind."

In today's issue Thomas A. Droleskey, Ph.D. brings us the sixteenth part of his fascinating, logical, factual and frank treatise on ferreting out the doublespeak and contradictions contained in the General Instruction to the Roman Missal (GIRM) which has confused so many and, instead of clearing up abuses, only is a license to experiment some more, all contributing to the continuing deconstruction of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that sustained the Church and her faithful for some 1,500 years. For his column, Sunday morning at the Improv see CHRIST or chaos

Bishop John Myers: We implore you to call Illinois Congressman Lane Evans to task for his unyielding pro-abort stance.

Today's "Herod's Hero" is the Democratic Representative in the United States House from Illinois' 17th District, the Honorable Lane Evans. There's nothing honorable about how he, as a 'Catholic,' has promoted the culture of death. We call on him to repent and for his Bishop in Peoria Bishop John J. Myers along with Evans' shepherd in Washington D.C. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, to issue the ultimatum of the "Bell, Book, and Candle" if he will not hear even the Church. We beg of the Bishops, to stand up for the Roman Catholic Church, to exact the discipline all Catholics are expected to follow. By Evans' merciless 100% pro-abortion record during his five terms in the House, he has turned away from God by showing a disdain for Catholic doctrine and being a willing accomplice to satan. We implore him to amend his ways, to turn away from embracing the pro-abort stance with no mercy for the lives of millions of unborn. For another betrayer who seeks to perpetuate the culture of death and slay the innocents, see HEROD'S HEROES

Feast of Saint Athanasius, Bishop and Doctor

Today is the Feast of Saint Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria in the 4th century who opposed Arius and Arianism with admirable zeal. He left us several works in defense of the divinity of Christ such as Contra gentes and De incarnatione verbi Dei as well as a work he produced while in exile Apologia to Constantius, Defense of Flight, Letter to the Monks, and History of the Arians. For his fierce defense of the Faith he was frequently persecuted and banished into exile where he died in 373 and subsequently, after his canonization proclaimed a Doctor of the Church. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Apostles SAINTS PHILIP & JAMES. For today and tomorrow's liturgies, see DAILY LITURGY

"I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me shall ot hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I have told you that you have seen Me and you do not believe. All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me, and him who comes to Me I will not cast out. For I have come down from Heaven, not to do My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me." John 6: 25-38

Opening Prayer
for Saint Athanasius

Father, You raised up Saint Athanasius to be an outstanding defender of the truth of Christ's divinity. By his teaching and protection may we grow in Your knowledge and love.

Incorrupt body of Blessed Pope John XXIII will be on display on the 38th anniversary of his death: Pentecost Sunday

Exactly 38 years to the day Blessed Pope John XXIII died, the bronze and glass coffin containing his incorrupt body will be displayed for all during Mass and solemn ceremonies in St. Peter's Square on Pentecost Sunday. Afterwards it will be then be retired inside St. Peter's Basilica for the remainder of the day for all to venerate at the altar of Confessions. Following Pentecost Papa Joannis' remains will be interred in St. Jerome's Chapel, one of the stout Pope's favorite places to pray during his pontificate. For more, see 38th anniversary

Perilous final leg of Jubilee Journey looms as theologian explains tremendous Greek Orthodox resentment to Roman Pontiff

Within a few days Pope John Paul II will become the first Roman Pontiff to set foot in Greece since Pope Constantine 1,291 years in 710. And the Greeks are not happy and they are making it known, so much so that many fear for the present Pontiff's life. Yet this Polish Pope ventures forward, intent on completing this extended "Jubilee Journey" on the final leg of retracing salvation history from Abraham to the Apostles, particularly Saint Paul. It was Pope Constantine, the 88th successor of Peter who encouraged the tradition of kissing the foot of St. Peter. However that is one of the roots of the schism that has existed between the West and the East since 1054. The Orthodox Church does not recognize the succession of Peter in the Roman Church as the Sovereign Authority. An expert on how they think is the Greek-Catholic Capuchin Father Yannis Spiteris who sat down with ZENIT to better explain the tension. For more, see Greek Resentment

Blessed Padre Pio Beatification of a modern and beloved mystic who bore the Stigmata

On this day two years ago before an overflowing crowd in St. Peter's Square, His Holiness John Paul II elevated Blessed Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, the mystical Capuchin monk who bore the visible stigmata and was beloved by all. Born on May 25, 1887, he passed on to his Heavenly reward on September 23, 1968 and almost immediately after the five year waiting period the cause of this loyal servant, who offered so much suffering for the remission of sins and who placed obedience above all other virtues, was introduced in Rome. Sanctioned by the Vatican for a time, he remained obedient to Christ always. He also continued to say the Traditional Latin Mass even when the Novus Ordo was the norm. Today many have made claims that this holy Capuchin has been appearing to countless people at various times. Though this has not been confirmed, it is known that during his life it was documented that, through the grace of God, he was given the gift of being able to be in another place - bilocation, if you will - while his body was still in another. True sincerity brings out the truth and, as we know, the Truth shall set you free!

"The sincere are those who have an ensemble of virtues, who are equally good at speaking and listening; who have silences, as well as words; who are not opaque like curtains, but transparent like window panes. They speak, knowing that one day they will have to be judged by God and obliged to give 'an account of every idle word.' That makes them love the Truth and because they love it, they are always kind and charitable."
