The Word speaks each soul into existence!
The more the merrier!

"Now each time an individual, often a complete stranger, finds it necessary to question us about the number of children in our family, we utilize the opportunity to explain that seemingly forgotten "truth" - that God is the Author of life. Joseph and I are merely the publishers of His Word. He speaks each soul into existence. He knits together the inmost being of each human in the secret place and He ordains each and every day of life for that soul. Each soul is created to exist for all eternity. We understand that we are privileged and honored that He entrusts us with many of these precious souls, even if it is just for our short time here on earth."
In this issue Jane Dalton shares the exhilaration of another pregnancy and weighs in with how she counters the modernists' message of looking askew at those who willingly have more than a few children. She points out how important it is to respond to these critics whose mindset is steeped in the politically correct philosophy that we are in control. Oh, no! Jane points out perfectly Who is in control for from Him we move and breathe and have our being. This is evident from the first time the couple sees the tiny fetus moving about, seen in the blessed ultrasound machine such as the one above as her husband Joe wrote about last week. Besides her wonderful news of the eighth little Dalton on the way, she provides an arsenel of responses Catholic couples can fire back at those who do not know better. For Joe's column, Is Eight Enough? , see FAITH IN THE FAMILY

The terminology of 'the Lord's Supper' has usurped the true meaning of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

"Pope Saint Pius X described Modernism as the admixture of truth and error. There is true mixed in with subtle error in Paragraph 17. Yes, our Lord entrusted the "Sacrifice of His body and blood" to the Church, His beloved Bride. However, the Mass is not merely the memorial of the Lord's Supper. It is the unbloody representation of His one Sacrifice to the Father in Spirit and in Truth on Calvary. While Paragraph 2 of GIRM quotes the Council of Trent's definition that the Mass is the perpetuation of our Lord's Sacrifice on Calvary, almost every other reference to the "Eucharistic liturgy" after that in the new GIRM makes reference to the Lord's Supper, a term which is used by Calvinists to describe their own liturgy. "

In today's issue Thomas A. Droleskey, Ph.D. brings us the eleventh part of his fascinating, logical, factual and frank treatise on ferreting out the doublespeak and contradictions contained in the General Instruction to the Roman Missal (GIRM) which has confused so many and, instead of clearing up abuses, only is a license to experiment some more, all contributing to the continuing deconstruction of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that sustained the Church and her faithful for some 1,500 years. For his column, Communitarian collaborationism and Calvinism see CHRIST or chaos

Bishop Raymond Burke: We implore you to call Wisconsin Congressman David Obey to task for his sorrowful pro-abort stance.

Today's "Herod's Hero" is the Democratic Representative in the United States House from Wisconsin's 7th District, the Honorable David Obey. There's nothing honorable about how he, as a 'Catholic,' has promoted the culture of death. We call on him to repent and for his bishop in La Crosse Bishop Raymond G. Burke along with Obey's shepherd in Washington D.C. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, to issue the ultimatum of the "Bell, Book, and Candle" if he will not hear even the Church. We beg of the Bishops, to stand up for the Roman Catholic Church, to exact the discipline all Catholics are expected to follow. By Obey's very sad 74% pro-abortion record and his seventeen terms in the House, he has turned away from God by showing a disdain for Catholic doctrine and being a willing accomplice to satan. We implore him to amend his ways, to turn away from embracing the pro-abort stance with no mercy for the lives of millions of unborn. For another betrayer who seeks to perpetuate the culture of death and slay the innocents, see HEROD'S HEROES

3rd and 4th Precepts of the Church

Performing our "Easter Duty" can be so misunderstood for the Church invites us to partake of the Sacrifice as often as possible from daily to at least weekly.
The third and fourth precepts of the Church cover the mandatory requirement of making our "Easter Duty," which consists of a good confession and receiving Holy Communion between Lent and Trinity Sunday. That is a wide window and many don't take advantage even of that.
Today in our 227th installment of our catechetical series on My Catholic Faith we cover the Third and Fourth Commandments of the Church, "To confess our sins at least once a year" and "To receive Holy Communion during the Easter Time." Loyal Catholics realize that frequent confessions and regular reception of the Holy Eucharist keep a protective shell of Sanctifying Grace around their souls to keep satan out. Just as we take care of the body, so also we must take care of the soul. Thus Confession is the salve that keeps our soul healthy as preventative care as well as a cure from sin. For today's installment on The Third Commandments of the Church, see APPRECIATING THE PRECIOUS GIFT OF OUR FAITH.

Easter Weekday

Today we return to Easter Weekday as well as tomorrow. IN the Traditional Latin Mass we commemorate the Feast of the martyred Popes Saint Cletus and Saint Marcellinus. The former was the third Pontiff and martyred under Domitian in 91 A.D. The latter was beheaded by the evil Diocletian. For today and tomorrow's liturgies, see DAILY LITURGY

"And I say to thee, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of Heaven; and whatever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven." Matthew 16: 18-19

Monthly Medjugorje Message for April 2001

"Dear children! Also today, I call you to prayer. Little children, prayer works miracles. When you are tired and sick and you do not know the meaning of your life, take the Rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful meeting with your Savior. I am with you, little children, and I intercede and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Pope Stephen II Death of the "Sitting Pope"

On this date 1,244 years ago in 757 the 92nd Sovereign Pontiff in the line of Peter - Pope Stephen II passed away. His pontificate lasted five years and one month and he is best remembered for the custom of the sedia gestoria which is the chariot-like chair to carry the Pope while he is seated. This has just recently given way to a rolling sedia which is being used by His Holiness John Paul II because of his various infirmities that make it extremely difficult for mobility. In your face often belies honesty!

"Psychologically, those who manifestly are shams are generally known through three techniques: first they shake hands with you up to the elbow, and they thrust their face against your nose with a smile which seems to say, 'See how nice I am,' or they shout out their greetings in tones calculated to make volume substitute for honesty."
