Christ founded the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic ChurchPapal Arms of John Paul II Jesus Christ's intrinsic role in Salvation is the theme of this third installment of the Jubilee Document from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith Dominus Jesus on the Unicity and Salvific Universality of Jesus Christ and His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect for the Doctrine of the Faith    On September 5, the Vatican released the Jubilee Document that reaffirmed the Church Doctrine of "No Salvation Outside the Church." At a time when a one-world order is being formed and a body of 1,000 psuedo religious leaders met and voted overwhelmingly that all religions should be considered equal, the Church is standing up and reasserting that she truly is the One, True Church founded by Jesus Christ. It flies in the face of political correctness, but, in loyalty to Our Lord the Holy See responds to Peter's words in John, 6: 59-70, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of everlasting life, and we have come to believe and to know that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God." Approved by Pope John Paul II, this declaration was released by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect for the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith. Today we present the Third Chapter Unicity and Universality of the Salvific Mystery of Jesus Christ and the Fourth Chapter Unicity and Unity of the Church For this third part of DOMINUS JESUS, see THE VICAR OF CHRIST SPEAKS

The DAILY WORD
Taken from the Gospel for Sunday's Mass

Mark 10: 14-15

Events that happened Today in Church History

Saint Mark the Evangelist    Today is the 915th anniversary of the establishment of Saint Mark's Basilica in Venice, called the Ministry of Saint Mark. Venice stood at the border of the Eastern Church which had split from Rome in the great schism of 1054. It was important to the Church that she establish a "beachhead" in this far northeast port for the welfare of the temporal and spiritual needs of the Church. It paved the way nine years later in 1094 for the remains of the evangelist's body to be moved on this same day from its resting place in Alexandria to a new tomb in St. Mark's under the authority of the Dicastry of Venice and the bishop, Patriarch of Venice. Famous quotes of Bishop Fulton J. SheenTruth-seekers need labels to identify themselves from those who are suppressing truth

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

"In that great book of C.S. Lewis called Screwtape Letters, there is a series of correspondence between an uncle devil in hell and a young nephew devil on earth. The young devil is trying to win souls over to himself by talking about the 'Truth of Materialism.' The old devil reprimands him saying that he must not talk about 'truth'; that is the word that is used by our 'enemy God.' You might confuse minds; get them to inquire whether a thing is 'liberal or reactionary,' 'right or left,' 'modern or behind the times.' Evidently Screwtape, the old devil, has succeeded pretty well with politicians and others."
