Apostles for the Sanctity of Life
Immaculate Conception  Mother Angelica Father Frank Pavone Bud Macfarlane, Jr. Our Lady of Guadalupe - Patron of the Unborn
Though many do not realize it, God's hand is very much evident in this long, drawn-out election contest that has been going on for over a month. The deadline dates coordinate with Our Lady's Feasts and, in that, we can express great hope for a favorable outcome that will permit His Ordaining Will for this nation consecrated to His Immaculate Mother
Immaculate ConceptionGeorge Washington - 1st PresidentGeorge W. Bush - 43rd President?     In our editorial this week, we bring to light a few who have been instrumental in serving as "Apostles for Life." We also point out the amazing Godincidences inherent in dates and circumstances that are surrounding this ungodly drawn-out election contest that has disintegrated into not only a cutthroat legal scene where accusations are tossed around left and right, but also a time full of media hyperbole and sacrilege, especially in saying that Al Gore's chances are akin to "throwing the Hail Mary pass!" Sorry, but that offends Catholics greatly for this beautiful prayer based on Luke 1: 28-42 is not about desperation but a declaration of the Blessed Virgin Mary's Immaculate Conception which we celebrate universally on this December 8th. The Holy Rosary, the most powerful weapon we have, is a prayer asking for Our Lady's intercession and one she bestowed on her children through Saint Dominic. It is this powerful weapon that will win out and enable George W. Bush to replant the agenda for the culture of life as the 43rd President of the United States. The first George to be president - George Washington was known for his honesty and it is doubtful, other than Abraham Lincoln, that such virtue has visited the White House since. We hope and pray that Mr. Bush will reapply ethics and conscience back into the highest office of the land. To aid his efforts, millions and millions of Rosaries are being said as you read this in prayerful hope that this uniter from Texas will begin to bring America back to God and His Laws. On December 8th, the glorious Solemnity of the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY we complete the Nine Day Novena in preparation for this glorious feast as well as bring you Sister Mary Lucy Astuto's column in which she shares the vital importance of preparing properly for the Christ Child by cleansing our souls through the cleansing of the confessional. Though Mary was conceived Immaculate, no one else was and, therefore, her Divine Son gave us the Sacrament of Reconciliation to purify ourselves from sin by Sanctifying Grace.
    SATURDAY

    Blessed Juan Diego

On December 9th, the feast of the Guadalupe visionary Blessed Juan Diego - we present the Seventh Lesson on our special series on the Charism of Conjugal Love AT ONE WITH GOD as we examine "The Dignity of Motherhood" as a key component in re-establishing the Sanctity of Life for feminism and modernism have greatly demeaned and lessened the greatest role God has given to women - that of cooperation with God in the procreation of His children. We point out the heart of the family lies with the mother a heart that is literally a coronary corridor to Heaven.
    SUNDAY

    St. Thomas More

On December 10th, the Second Sunday of Advent, we bring you Pope John Paul II's most recent address from his regular Wednesday General Papal Audience in which he told 30,000 huddled in a brisk St. Peter's Square that for the faithful, "the Kingdom is Grace." His Holiness expressed that "the Kingdom is the effective but mysterious action that God carries out in the universe and in the tangle of human events." He also emphasized, "With the Gospel of the Kingdom, Christ links Himself to the sacred Scriptures, which, through the royal image, celebrate the lordship of God over the cosmos and history.
    MONDAY

The Mystery of the Incarnation: The One, True God becomes Man

On December 11th we bring you Pat Ludwa's thought-provoking column "VIEW FROM THE PEW" in which he emphasizes that throughout history all gods and goddesses have failed to prove their ultimate divinity. Only One can make that claim and He did so in the humblest of acts - being born in a manger and dying ignominously on the Cross, then trumping all other deities by conquering death with His Resurrection and providing us with life everlasting.

    TUESDAY

Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Basilica

On December 12th, the Feast of OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE issue we bring you Cyndi Cain's article in her SYMPHONY OF SUFFERING series in which she asks all to prepare for the birth of the Messiah by doing all in our power to help prepare for the births of 4,000 daily who are denied the right to life through abortion. Each of us can do our part to fulfill Our Lady's plea by offering our prayers, penance and fasting during this Advent.
    WEDNESDAY

    Saint Lucy

On December 13th, the Feast of Saint Lucy, Virgin and Martyr, we bring you Dr. Frank Joseph's weekly PRO-LIFE PRESCRIPTIONS column in which he why Al Gore will not go away quietly even though doors are closing on him daily in the court room and the court of public opinion as even the media begin to turn on him. But those in league with satan will persist to the end. That's always been their modus operandi.
    THURSDAY

On December 14th, the Feast of Saint John of the Cross, Priest and Doctor of the Church, we bring you the 209th installment of our on-going series APPRECIATION OF THE PRECIOUS GIFT OF OUR FAITH as we treat the 5th Commandment, today focusing on the meaning of "Thou shalt not kill" which means only God has the right to take a life from conception to when He decides it is time to call a soul home. Man does not, yet often he thinks he does!
