This last week of June and first day of July is packed with four special feasts beginning Tuesday with the traditional feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, signified by that beautiful icon with so much meaning that dates all the way back to the original by St. Luke and was improved by the Dominican Fra Angelico in the middle ages and has been copied ever since. Two days later we celebrate the First Class Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, a staple of the two most effective movers-and-shakers of the apostolic age in converting souls and carrying out Christ's command in the gospels of St. Matthew 28: 19-20 , St. Mark 16: 15-16, and St. John 21: 15-17. Instrically linked, we give special attention the next day to St. Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles. With his feast we transfer from the month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus to the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus with the First Class Feast of that title on Saturday. The two go hand in hand for the Heart does not pump without the Blood.

No matter the month, that Heart and Blood took life within the living tabernacle that is God's chosen vessel the Blessed Virgin Mary who as Co-Redemptrix, has promised at Fatima in fulfillment of Sacred Scripture that her Immaculate Heart would triumph. That could be God's way of inserting divine intervention to offset this Great Apostasy we remain in. Her holy Rosary is the link of hope between Traditional Catholics and CONciLIAR Catholics, and we remind you of your opportunity to pray each evening with others by calling into moderator Tom Gillbrough for Rosary Conference Call at 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 9 p.m. Central, 8 p.m. Mountain, and 7 p.m. in the Pacific Daylight time zone. You are encouraged to call in ten minutes before the hour so that the Rosary can start on time with no latecomers to upset the reverence and continuity of the Blessed Virgin Mary's holy Psalter. For those who want to stay on after the five decades, they may join in praying the other two sets of mysteries not covered for that day. Monday and Thursday are the Joyful mysteries, Tuesday and Friday are the Sorrowful mysteries, and Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday are the Glorious mysteries.

On Saturday mornings you are invited to call 319-527-2928 and join Dave Fuire and often times a priest in praying the five Glorious Mysteries at 1 p.m. EDT, noon CDT, 11 a.m. MDT, and 10 a.m. PDT in reparation for the offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is what Our Lady asked for at Fatima. Also this Saturday we begin the annual Fifteen Saturdays Rosary Crusade first begun several years ago by the late Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. that spans the closest Saturday to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and this year on the Solemnity of the Most Precious Blood with the First Mystery of the Annunciation through the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary on October 7 with the Fifteenth Mystery of the Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and earth.

You'll note that Traditional Catholics never acknowledge the heretical luminous mysteries. Why? Because Heaven bestowed the holy Rosary to St. Dominic to fight the heresy of Albigensianism in 1214. Mary stipulated that the three sets of mysteries made up Christ's life through her and they represented the 150 Psalms which, when divided by the Trinitarian number 3 equals 50 Aves. Victorious over the Albgensians, it remained the same with miraculous results for nearly 800 years until unsaint JP2 decided he'd add the Masonic luminous mysteries. With that unprecedented move in which man thought he knew better than God, the number jumped to four sets of mysteries equalling 200 Aves. To show how demonic this is, when you divide 200 by the Trinitarian number 3 you get 666! That should tell you all you need to know about Vatican 2 and it's false 'popes'. That is why it is paramount to the welfare of your eternal soul to...

A lot has been said about the heretical 'Apostolic' declaration Amoris Laetitia that has spurred so much controversy, but there are so many other heresies spewed from Mr. Bergoglio's mouth. John Gregory returns with a poignant article so pertinent for those who refuse to see the elephant in the room who is really a wolf in sheep's clothing, directed by the devil and his willing accomplices who do the devil's dirty work while thinking they are helping souls, but in truth only confusing them just as Adam and Eve were so confused. See The Devil, the Dimonds, and the Willfully Duped. We urge you to read his piece as well as checking out the latest at NovusOrdoWatch.org. We strongly urge you to devote some time to listen to the monthly TRADCASTS and frequent TradCAST Express, all available at the same site. Hearing this and knowing Marxist Mr. Jorge Bergoglio's track record we shouldn't be surprised that the world is thrilled, while many Catholics are shocked, especially with his latest push to recognize all religions as equal: Pantheism and Syncretism at its apex toward a one world religion under Satan. Traditional Catholics are not shocked because we saw it coming. For all of this the best source for what is happening in separating the lambs on the right from the goats on the left is NovusOrdoWatch latest news wire which provides links to so many sources that it has become the DRUDGE Report for Traditional Catholics. In addition, we also confidently recommend trusted ports like Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as four blogs worth your while, the excellent traditional weekly blogIntroibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Cekada's Quidlibet, Bishop Donald Sanborn's In Veritate, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge. They all weigh in on the consequences of the dastardly deeds by those in Modernist Rome and their cronies around the world who blatantly contradict Catholic truth, which of course is so reminiscent of Vatican 2 documents. So stay tuned to our DailyCatholic Twitter Feed for the latest as well as the editor's SANCTUS facebook page

How many lambs will be placed on the Lord's right? With the relaxation and total negligence of many Catholic disciplines today, that number might be smaller than you might think because the vast majority of the sheep are so lost because the so-called shepherds of the modern church, while masquerading as priests and prelates, are truly wolves who have ravaged souls for the past fifty years or so. Other than traditional priests and bishops ordained in the true Sacrament of Holy Orders, all those "ordained" or "consecrated" since 1968 with the man-made rite of Giovanni Montini have no more authority or power than a protestant minister, who, as Pope Leo XIII perfectly put it, "are completely null and utterly void." The fact is not since His Holiness Pope Pius XII have we had a true shepherd sitting in the Chair of Peter. That has greatly contributed to the chaos the world faces today because since the early part of the Conclave of 1958, when the Holy Ghost withdrew His protection because a false church was determined to eclipse the true Church. How long that will last is anybody's guess, but the more we see, the further away the counterfeit CONciLIAR church is out-protestanting the Protestants, and even the heathens! You see, through the Vatican 2 secular humanism man has replaced God!

I know it's a shock to most to realize they're barking up the wrong tree, the one without the true barque of Peter. It was to us when we connected all the dots and finally came to the conclusion that the only syllogism possible to verify Christ's words was that the true Church remains in an interminable interregnum, chiefly because a heretic cannot be a pope, not to mention how those men occupying the Chair since the death of His Holiness of happy memory Pope Pius XII's death on October 9, 1958. The links we provide above to other ports verifies this fact.

All we ask is that you pray for the grace to see the veracity of what is presented. It can be a tremendous task to leave the comfort zone of a religion that has relaxed so much, but isn't it worth it for your salvation? That was the decision we came to after realizing how much we were duped - yes, we're not alone - for as Jesus said in St. Matthew 24: 24-25: "insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand." We've been warned, and yet so many refuse to connect the dots. It behooves you to do so and do so soon. To affirm this and assist you in this truth, we present a thorough talk by His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn, Rector of Most Holy Trinity Seminary. We encourage you to set aside an hour and a half to truly help your soul and clarify what is really happening by listening to his magnificent and eye-opening complete overview of the Great Apostasy in: The Novus Ordo Church, Vatican II, and Sedevacantism. It's a good idea to listen to the Questions and Answers after his talk that provides rock-solid reasons why Sedevacantists have been right all along and we pray more will receive the grace to see why and flee the Novus Ordo.

The words above are the wise counsel of St. Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 and just the fact that you have arrived on this site is a blessing and we hope you pray for the grace to truly see that all we publish here is the unadulterated Catholic truth. As we have said so many times, don't take our word for it, see what holy Mother Church has always taught as infrangible truth for Our Lord cannot deceive nor be deceived. We pray you can see that if you have been deceived in any way by what has been taught by the Vatican 2 church, then something must be wrong and you will know it does not come from God, but rather His adversary the devil.

That is why we have endeavored for 21 years online to bring you the infrangible truths and traditions of the Church instituted by Christ. We can humbly say we have never had to print a retraction of anything published on these pages. Of course with all that we have here and in archives it takes money to continue. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy from the approved St. Andrew Missal 1945 and in so doing can gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. So if you have benefited in any way, we'd be so grateful for a tax-deductible donation of whatever you deem it is worth. We remind you of the advice of the holy Doctor of the Church Saint Augustine on almsgiving:

"Generosity will save a person from Eternal Death, it will even blot out any sin.....because Almsgiving is prayer...it brings graces, it cleanses the soul from guilt and punishment.....What good is faith without works, if we desert our fellow man in his need?"

The liturgy celebrates today the mercy of God towards us, poor sinners. (Collect, Postcommunion) Jesus has come not to call the just but sinners, and the Holy Ghost comes to establish the reign of God in our sinful, unclean hearts. The Sanctifier continues in our hearts the action of Christ, coming to establish the reign of God in sinful souls. He therefore proclaims by the mouth of Peter, the Head of the Church, our weakness before the devil, who, like roaring lion, seeks to devour us (Epistle). The human race has fallen into sin. It is represented by the lost sheep which the divine Shepherd bore on His shoulders, and by the lost drachma struck with the effigy of the King of Heaven and ...More

Besides within the octave, there is also a commemoration of the holy confessor St. William, who was born of noble parents in the year 1085 in Vercelli, Italy. But as an infant he was orphaned and raised by relatives. At 14 years old, he made a pilgrimage to Compostela, in Galicia Spain, a pilgrimage he made barefoot. He was at Mefi in 1106 and spent two years as a hermit on Monte Solicoli. After abandoning a pilgrimage to Jerusalem when he was attacked by robbers, he ...More

John Gregory provides the commentary for the Third Sunday after Pentecost which is always the Sunday within the Octave of the Sacred Heart. Father George Leo Haydock became famous for compiling the Fathers' and Doctors' discernment and incorporating it into the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. For this Sunday we encounter one of the most oft quoted passages of Sacred Scripture, the eighth verse of chapter five of the first epistle of St. Peter whereby Christ's chosen first Pope employs the imagery of the devil being like a roaring lion always on the prowl to devour souls. That is why it ties in so well with today's Gospel of the rejoicing of one sinner returning to the fold. With satan roaming it truly is a victory worth celebrating when a soul is saved from this savage unearthly beast. Redemption

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a sixteen-minute sermon given five years ago for the Third Sunday after Pentecost by Father Michael Oswalt, then assistant pastor at Mount St. Michael's in Spokane. He reminds us of how powerful our enemy devil is and why we must be vigilant and sober, steadfast in the faith because we are vulnerable to him if think we can fight him by ourselves. We need God's grace and mercy, and thus cannot afford to be lax or the devil will penetrate our castles and our fortress will be demolished through mortal sin. God, in His mercy gives us so many chances and loves the sinner but hates the sin. So should we or we will be devoured as St. Peter warns in his epistle. Father shows how God extends His protection through the confessional and how all of Heaven rejoices over the return of a sinner. If we do not take advantage of this infirmary of Divine Mercy, we will not have enough ammo to fend off the roaring lion away and will be devoured. Finally, Father concludes that we need to submit to His will and honor Him and work on our salvation with fear and trembling since it is our urgent duty out of love for our Creator as Father explains in his sermon on Be Steadfast In The Faith

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a seven-minute sermon given nine years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan, pastor of St. Gertrude the Great in Cincinnati, Ohio. His excellency's words on St. William of Vercelli, who, like St. John the Baptist, was a penitential loner during the 12th century who then went forth to preach the Faith to the masses while also founding a monastery and working miracles. Like the Baptist he was fearless for William knew no fear with God on his side. He converted kings and scaled mountains to establish the Benedictine Monastery of Monte Virgine in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary near where the Latin writer Virgil wrote the Illiad and the Odyssey. The Bishop reminds us that we never know how divine Providence will work if we are open to God's holy will just as did St. William the Abbot

Saints John and Paul were Roman soldiers who were Christians as well. They were martyred at Rome on 26 June. The year of their martyrdom is uncertain according to their Acts, it occurred under Julian the Apostate (361-3). In the second half of the fourth century, Byzantius, the Roman senator, and Pammachius, his son, fashioned their house on the Caelian Hill into a Christian ...More

In these times where there is so much confusion regarding where the true Faith exists, John Gregory returns with a very poignant piece to show how even the elect can be deceived as Jesus warned in St. Matthew 24: 24. Point of fact: It is the approved Church teaching that a public heretic and apostate cannot legitimately hold ecclesiastical office. Yet many have been deceived and the key is to realize where this deception comes from. As we pray daily in the Act of Faith, "...I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches because Thou hast revealed them who canst deceive nor be deceived." Therefore, knowing God cannot deceive, then there is only one conclusion: it's the devil and those he has duped, yes even the elect, from the man claiming to be 'pope' to those either trying to defend the apostate Francis and his predecessors such as Salza and Siscoe and those in the "R&R" camp such as the SSPX, or those who have set themselves up as a separate authority such as the Dimond Brothers. Either way, they lead souls away from the truth even if some of what they say may be right, it's what they say that's wrong that is the problem. It's nothing new as John begins by pointing out how Adam and Eve promised God they'd obey Him in all things and all it took was a wily serpent to convince them to eat of the apple and they'd be like God. We all know the result of that as John presents The Devil, the Dimonds, and the Willfully Duped

Today is the Traditional Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help which can be said in place of the Feria Mass provided a commemoration of the previous Sunday's Collect, Secret and Postcommunion are said. In the thirteenth century, a beautiful picture of Our Lady holding the Child Jesus, with the Archangels Michael and Gabriel on either side of her, was painted ...More

We join all our readers in once again extending our annual heartfelt congratulations to the CMRI Sisters taking vows. First of all, Sister Mary Bernadette, CMRI will celebrate her golden anniversary of her Profession of Vows. She is the one who started the Singing Nuns in Spokane. Taking her Final Profession of Vows will be Sr. Helen Marie, with Sr. Mary Andrea taking her Triennial Profession, and Sr. Philomena Marie making her First Vows. Bishop Mark Pivarunas, CMRI is celebrating an 8 a.m. Pontifical High Mass. For more details see Profession of Vows

Today is the feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help as we conclude the Novena of Devotions to her under that title. In many traditional parishes this inspiring devotion is said each Tuesday of the week. This devotion, attributed to the miraculous events of the famous icon of Our Lady and Christ Child from the 14th Century on that was preserved despite the doubts of its miraculous nature by those charged with taking care of it. It wasn't until 1866 that Pope Pius IX solemnly enshrined it in the church of San Alfonso (St. Alphonsus Liguori) between the Basilicas of the Lateran and St. Mary Major in Rome as Our Lady had originally requested. The icon is unique for it's symbolism as you can see with Understanding the Icon's symbols. For the beautiful devotion see Devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Again, thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons, we are able to bring you a thirteen minute video sermon by Fr. Charles McGuire of St. Hugh's Traditional Parish in Milwaukee. Though St. Luke first painted the image of Our Lady with Jesus as a young boy, it was really the artist Dominican Fra Angelico in the 1300's - the century of saints. Fra emphasized the importance of imitating Christ if one wanted to correctly depict Our Lord and Our Lady in art. Thus, Father McGuire's topic is the magnificent icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help as he gives a background on Fra Angelico and how it was preserved several times from peril, that after 300 years in Rome at St. Matthew, the Augustinian fathers saved it from destruction when the church was destroyed. He explains the symbols as you can also see above. Father reminds us of the eyes of Our Lady, in this icon she is looking at us when we look upon the picture of Mary holding her divine Son Jesus, and her lips are very petite because she spoke very little and only with great wisdom and kindness when she did speak. It is wise to follow her example as Father points out that sins of the tongue can be some of the greatest wrongs are done by loose lips and it is nigh unto impossible to retract after something is said. Father concludes that devotion to Our Blessed Mother is a sign of salvation and if we cultivate this, we will have peace of mind. Background on the icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Information as to the life of the holy Father of the Church Saint Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons, is scarce, and in some measure inexact. He was born in Proconsular Asia, or at least in some province bordering thereon, in the first half of the second century; the exact date is controverted, between the years 115 and 125, according to some, or, according to others, between 130 and 142. It is certain that, ...More

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a sermon from ten years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on St. Irenaeus, but he focuses first on why we have the Vigil of Sts. Peter and Paul in reparation for the offenses against the Apostolic See, today so besmirched by the false 'popes' who claim the throne in this time of the Great Apostasy. St. Irenaeus refused to compromise to get along. Not so today sadly. Irenaeus was a disciple of St. John the beloved Apostle. He became a great missionary and able to learn several languages to communicate the Faith against heresy when already satan was attacking the Church just as he does today. St. Irenaeus has been able to refute the blasphemies way back then that have risen their ugly heads again today. We can go to school on the teachings of this holy Bishop and Martyr as Bishop Dolan explains in shares this magnificent foe of heresy St. Irenaeus

Today's Double of the First Class Feast has a Common Octave with two stations, the one at St. Peter's, the other at St. Paul's. On June 29 A.D. 67, St. Peter was crucified, head downward, by order of Nero, on a hill overlooking the Vatican. On the same day, St. Paul was beheaded outside one of the gates of Rome. The Romans celebrated this feast with splendor equal to, if not ...More

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a short sermon from nine years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on Sts. Peter and Paul, focusing on how these two giant saints of the Church are known for their penitence, of course, St. Peter, Christ's first appointed Vicar on earth denied Him three times, and St. Paul was converted, turning from persecuting Christians to becoming the great Apostle to the Gentiles. The Bishop notes that because we are in this time of the Great Apostasy, the Holy Father Peter's true successor - is taken away from us for a while as God so allows heretics to occupy the throne setting up a false church, but with the ordination of every true priest we are presented with sons that will carry on the true Faith and, in God's time, the Church will be resurrected. We take this opportunity to ask everyone to pray for priests, for they are satan's number one target just as in the earliest times of the Church the devil assailed Saints Peter and Paul

As we complete the month of June, there is a commemoration on this feast of St. Peter and one each within the Octave of Sts. Peter and Paul and within the Octave of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. From Saint Paul himself we know that he was born at Tarsus in Cilicia (Acts 21:39), of a father who was a Roman citizen (Acts 22:26-28; cf. 16:37), of a family in which piety was hereditary (2 Timothy 1:3) and which ...More

Bishop Daniel Dolan brings us a short sermon from nine years ago, courtesy of Traditional Catholic Sermons, on Saint Paul, and the traditions the Church has followed in honoring this Apostle of the Gentiles who had been the enemy of Christ. The Bishop speaks of how the catechumens are taught and the safeguards against satan. Too often we are blinded like Paul and cannot see the obvious - the truths of our Faith and, like Paul we need to be knocked off our high horses so that we can realize the true purpose of our life's existence. As Paul himself said in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10, we need to recognize the lie and be on our guard constantly against the devil for the venomous serpent of hell searches out souls. But if we open our eyes to the truth we'll be able to avoid the poisonous viper. Bishop Dolan explains in his seven and a half minute sermon on Saint Paul the Apostle

Jesus' Most Precious Blood was shed in the Circumcision, the Agony, the Crowning with thorns and supremely in the Crucifixion of our Savior Jesus Christ and it is offered daily in the Sacrifice of the Altar. The Missal gives today the Octave of St. John the Baptist, which, however, only appears in the Roman Calendar during the late Middle Ages. In the liturgical reform of Pope St. Pius X this day was chosen for the feast of the Most Precious Blood, which had already been fixed under Pius IX for the first Sunday in July. Blessed Pius IX instituted this feast in thanksgiving for the deliverance of the Apostolic See from the violent revolutionaries who had expelled the Pope to Gaeta. In 1849, with the assistance of the French army, they were vanquished and the pope was able to return to Rome. The meaning of this festival is closely akin to that of the Sacred Heart. The Precious Blood is the price of universal redemption, which love would not have to be anything less than itself. There is a very close connection between the Heart and the Blood not only because, according to St. John the Beloved Disciple, after the death of Jesus, blood and water flowed from His wounded Heart, but because the first chalice in which that divine Blood was consecrated and vivified was precisely the Heart of the Incarnate Word. The apostle of this special devotion was the Blessed Gaspare del Bufalo, founder of the Congregation of the Most Precious Blood. The Mass is of quite recent composition. In the ancient Roman rite the Mass of Passion Sunday was especially intended to recall ...More

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a nine-minute sermon given five years ago on this First Class Feast by Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph Seminary at the City of Mary in Rathdrum, Idaho. Father points out that every single drop of the Blood He shed was of infinite value. Blood was shed from His circumcision to the Agony in the Garden to His brutal scourging and crowning of thorns and then His crucifixion as well as being pierced with a lance where poured forth blood and water, re-enacted at each Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in an unbloody manner with the wine confected into His Most Precious Blood. He is the Lamb of God and the sacrifices of the Old Testament, such as the paschal lambs, would have had no value had not they foreshadowed the Victim on the Cross and continued today in the Traditional Latin Mass at the transubstantiation where the Passover continues but in a truly salvific manner for He offered Himself for our sins as we understand fully by the shedding of The Most Precious Blood

It is so appropriate that we begin this year's Fifteen Week Rosary Crusade, first begun several years ago by His Excellency the late Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P., on the First Class Feast of the Most Precious Blood as we begin with the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary concluding on the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary on October 7. Through the Precious Blood of Jesus we are inebriated with the holy Faith through the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, present Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity only in the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - the Traditional Latin Mass of All Ages confected at the Consecration by a true priest ordained in the Rite of Ordination at the time of the death of Pope Pius XII, which since we can see the Petrine Primacy has been usurped since October 9, 1958. Much more has been usurped since then as is laid out in this crusade that is so crucial to the salvation of souls. We have available to us the most powerful weapon Heaven could afford us, one that all can use and yet so few use it. That's like sending an army to the front lines with high-powered rifles and other artillery, but not loading the ammo. Doesn't make sense. Neither does holstering our Rosaries when we could be firing intercessory bullets to Heaven to save souls. If we don't do it, who will? We may feel like Peter and want to flee our responsibility, or like Paul who had to be knocked from his horse before he saw the light. What will it take for this hard-hearted generation? It's time again to rouse the troops and lock and load. Thus today we begin this annual Crusade with the intention of a profound humility, unlike the false humility a certain proponent of Liberation Theology exhibits while he further destroys whatever semblance of Catholicity is left. The links above and below provide almost daily updates. The two above can be trusted totally, while we urge a mild caution on the two below because of their refusal to admit Francis is a false pope.

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

    Plenary Indulgence, Condition:
    • Confession
    • Communion
    • One Our Father
    • One Hail Mary
    • One Glory be...
Pope Pius IX, July 31, 1858

  • The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. And she conceived of the Holy Ghost.

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done unto me according to Thy word.

    Hail Mary...

And the Word was made flesh. And dwelt among us.

    Hail Mary...
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

    Let us pray.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariae. Et concepit de Spiritu Sancto.
Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructis ventris tui, Jesus.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Ecce ancilla Domini. Fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum.

    Ave Maria...
Et Verbum caro factum est. Et habitavit in nobis.
    Ave Maria...
Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix. Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.

    Oremus.

Amen.
