This year the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into Heaven (a Holyday of Obligation) occurs in the first week of the month of May dedicated to the Blessed Mother of God. The month begins on Sunday when we celebrate the Queen of the May with flowers, physically before each Sunday's Holy Masses, and spiritually with a different flower each day that represents a special virtue. We provide this below for each day of this first week. It corresponds with the beautiful daily prayer of the Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary that is exclusive to May. In addition, those making their consecrations to Mary via St. Louis de Montfort's method are provided the prayer/exercise for each day leading to Our Lady's glorious feast of her Coronation as Queen of Heaven and earth on May 31st. This week covers Days Four through Ten in the 33-Day Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. This first week of May is chock-full of wonderful feasts. The Fifth Sunday after Easter is superseded this year by one of two feasts. In some traditional circles by the First Class Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, a controversial selection considering it was foisted on a very ill Pope Pius XII by the nefarious Anibale Bugnini who is known as the architect of the blueprint for the scandalous Novus Ordo Missae. Because Pius signed off on it, those who acknowledge that stand with all that the last true pope decreed. Those who reject any influence by Bugnini, especially with the correlation of "worker" with the communist day of the worker on May 1, remain committed to what was the liturgy prior to any changes and acknowledge May 1 as the feast of the holy Apostles St. Philip and James, while the former group celebrate this feast on May 11. Confusing? Yes, but both are valid.
On Monday we honor the Apostle of Tradition, St. Athanasius, the first Doctor of the Church. Tuesday is the feast of the Finding of the True Cross and Wednesday the feast of St. Monica. These three days leading to the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven are also known as Rogation Days. This triumverate of days arose when major earthquakes and calamities afflicted the diocese of Dauphine in France way back in the 5th Century prompting its Bishop St. Mamertus to pray for intercession and then institute a penitential procession with public supplications on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Ascension Thursday. In 816, Pope Leo III introduced the same practice in Rome, and soon after it became a general observance in the universal Church. It is called the Procession of the Lesser Litanies and consists of the Litany of the Saints, several psalms and prayers chanted during the procession on these three days of supplication to Heaven for protection. The Latin rogare means "to ask", hence Rogation Days.
One of the feasts superseded this year by the Ascension is that of His Holiness Pope St. Pius V, who set in doctrinal stone the infallible, dogmatic decrees of the Council of Trent, which have been smashed to pieces by the unholy men who hijacked Christ's true Church at Vatican 2 and subsequently have been anathematized by the very decrees of Trent as the Apostle St. Paul warns in Galatians 1: 8-10. It was also St. Pius V who implored all of Christendom to pray the holy Rosary against the invading hordes of the Muslim fleet against an undermanned Don Juan of Austria. Heaven responded with a resounding victory for the good guys and the Pope declared October 7 the feast of Our Lady of Victory, later changed to Our Lady of the Rosary. We finish the week with the feast of of the beloved Apostle St. John the Evangelist before the Latin Gate on First Friday and then the holy Polish martyr and Bishop of Cracow St. Stanislaus on the First Saturday of May. Friday begins the Nine-Day Novena in Preparation for Pentecost Sunday.
A lot has been said about the heretical 'Apostolic' declaration Amoris Laetitia, but the best summary is provided at TRADCAST from Novus Ordo Watch. We strongly urge you to forego some TV tonight and devote a few hours to listen to the facts that leave no doubt. Hearing this and knowing Marxist Mr. Jorge Bergoglio's track record we shouldn't be surprised that the world is thrilled, while many Catholics are shocked. Traditional Catholics are not shocked because we saw it coming. For all of this the best source for what is happening in separating the lambs on the right from the goats on the left is Novus Ordo Watch which provides links to several sources on reactions to "Joy of Love." The same site has also released a thorough audio on unFrancis' folly on TRADCAST In addition, we also confidently recommend trusted ports like Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as four blogs worth your while, Introibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Cekada's Quidlibet, Bishop Donald Sanborn's In Veritate, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge. They all weigh in on the consequences of the dastardly document Amoris laetitia in which the so-called "Joy of love" can very well turn into Morte animarum - "Death of souls" because of the blatant contradiction of Catholic truth so reminiscent of Vatican 2 documents. So stay tuned to our DailyCatholic Twitter Feed for the latest as well as the editor's SANCTUS facebook page
How many lambs will be placed on the Lord's right? With the relaxation and total negligence of many Catholic disciplines today, that number might be smaller than you might think because
the vast majority of the sheep are so lost because the so-called shepherds of the modern church, while masquerading as priests and prelates, are truly wolves who have ravaged souls for the past fifty years or so. Other than traditional priests and bishops ordained in the true Sacrament of Holy Orders, all those "ordained" or "consecrated" since 1968 with the man-made rite of Giovanni Montini have no more authority or power than a protestant minister, who, as Pope Leo XIII perfectly put it, "are completely null and utterly void." The fact is not since His Holiness Pope Pius XII have we had a true shepherd sitting in the Chair of Peter. That has greatly contributed to the chaos the world faces today because since the early part of the Conclave of 1958, when the Holy Ghost withdrew His protection because a false church was determined to eclipse the true Church. How long that will last is anybody's guess, but the more we see, the further away the counterfeit CONciLIAR church is out-protestanting the Protestants, and even the heathens! You see, through the Vatican 2 secular humanism man has replaced God!
I know it's a shock to most to realize they're barking up the wrong tree, the one without the true barque of Peter. It was to us when we connected all the dots and finally came to the conclusion that the only syllogism possible to verify Christ's words was that the true Church remains in an interminable interregnum, chiefly because a heretic cannot be a pope, not to mention how those men occupying the Chair since the death of His Holiness of happy memory Pope Pius XII's death on October 9, 1958. The links we provide above to other ports verifies this fact.
All we ask is that you pray for the grace to see the veracity of what is presented. It can be a tremendous task to leave the comfort zone of a religion that has relaxed so much, but isn't it worth it for your salvation? That was the decision we came to after realizing how much we were duped - yes, we're not alone - for as Jesus said in St. Matthew 24: 24-25: "insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand." We've been warned, and yet so many refuse to connect the dots. It behooves you to do so and do so soon.
<
To affirm this and assist you in this truth, we present a thorough talk by His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn, Rector of Most Holy Trinity Seminary, first published last week on Novus Ordo Watch. We encourage you to set aside an hour and a half to truly help your soul and clarify what is really happening by listening to his magnificent and eye-opening complete overview of the Great Apostasy in: The Novus Ordo Church, Vatican II, and Sedevacantism. It's a good idea to listen to the Questions and Answers after his talk that provides rock-solid reasons why Sedevacantists have been right all along and we pray more will receive the grace to see why and flee the Novus Ordo.
To offset this apostasy, we remind you of your opportunity to pray each evening with others by calling into moderator Tom Gillbrough for Rosary Conference Call at 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 9 p.m. Central, 8 p.m. Mountain, and 7 p.m. in the Pacific Daylight time zone. You are encouraged to call in ten minutes before the hour so that the Rosary can start on time with no latecomers to upset the reverence and continuity of the Blessed Virgin Mary's holy Psalter. For those who want to stay on after the five decades, they may join in praying the other two sets of mysteries not covered for that day. Monday and Thursday are the Joyful mysteries, Tuesday and Friday are the Sorrowful mysteries, and Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday are the Glorious mysteries. Traditional Catholics never acknowledge the heretical luminous mysteries. Why? Because Heaven bestowed the holy Rosary to St. Dominic to fight the heresy of Albigensianism in 1214. Mary stipulated that the three sets of mysteries made up Christ's life through her and they represented the 150 Psalms which, when divided by the Trinitarian number 3 equals 50 Aves. Victorious over the Albgensians, it remained the same with miraculous results for nearly 800 years until unsaint JP2 decided he'd add the Masonic luminous mysteries. With that unprecedented move in which man thought he knew better than God, the number jumped to four sets of mysteries equalling 200 Aves. To show how demonic this is, when you divide 200 by the Trinitarian number 3 you get 666! That should tell you all you need to know about Vatican 2 and it's false 'popes'.
Finally, it has to be said. As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. We remind you of the advice of the holy Doctor of the Church Saint Augustine on almsgiving: "Generosity will save a person from Eternal Death, it will even blot out any sin.....because Almsgiving is prayer...it brings graces, it cleanses the soul from guilt and punishment.....What good is faith without works, if we desert our fellow man in his need.?"
If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. We urgently ask if you can contribute anything in these tight times, we would be so appreciative for the coffers are truly bare. Think of all the untold millions being thrown into the election process this year. If you've contributed to a campaign, can't you spare a crumb for this apostolate to convert apostates? If you are still in the category of the lukewarm, then you will pass over this plea and move on to the next thing that tickles your fancy. But if you truly want to commit, we offer you the opportunity below to put that commitment into action for the good of saving souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward a bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the CONciLIAR collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

In the Church of the Twelve Apostles in Rome there were some relics of the apostles Philip and James the Just or Less. Because of the consecration of the Church of the holy Apostles on May 1, and the relics of St. James preserved in this Church, the feast of James the Less was joined with that of St. Philip and celebrated on this day.

On the Fifth Sunday After Easter, the liturgy continues to sing the risen Christ and exhorts us, during the Rogation Days that follow this week, to unite with Holy Mother the Church in prayer.
Delivered from sin by the efficacy of His blood (Introit, Alleluia, Communion), we are bound to hearken and practise the perfect law of liberty contained in His Gospel. To this end, let us ask of God, from Whom all good things come ...More
Up until 1955 Sts. Phillip and James was the main feast for May 1st, but in that year Pope Pius XII set May 1 for the Solemnity of St. Joseph the Worker, Patron of the Universal Church. Despite Bugnini's treachery, some traditional circles now celebrate this feast. Therefore we provide both for the reader. Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

The beloved disciple Saint John the Evangelist was granted the blessing of the vision of a woman crowned with twelve stars, clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet. According to expert commentators, most specifically the Haydock Commentary in the Douay-Rheims version, this woman is the Blessed Virgin Mary, with her virtues and her privileges, especially that of her divine maternity. Thus originated the Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which Saint John Calasanctius, Saint John Berchmans and many other saints made it a practice to recite frequently, especially during Mary's Month of May.
In order to make this prayer more attractive, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort (whose feast we just observed last Sunday) added to each Hail Mary one of the praises of the Blessed Virgin, with the invocation: "Rejoice, O Virgin Mary; rejoice a thousand times."
It is this prayer which St. Louis gave to his religious families (The Montfort Fathers and the Daughters of Wisdom) as their morning prayer. He also recommends it to all those who embrace the devotion of the holy and loving slavery of Jesus through Mary. We combine with this beautiful prayer at the very beginning the designated flower and virtue for the day throughout Mary's month for she is the Queen of the May. You can print it out so that you have a copy to pray each day at Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary Devotion

While the title above honors the holy Apostles Sts. Philip and James, it is also appropriate in leading off Mary's Month of May by honoring her chaste earthly spouse for Saint Joseph is the Universal Patron of the Church. He is symbolized by the LILY and the designated virtue in offering Our Lady a beautiful spiritual bouquet is PURITY. No flower is more significant in identifying the Foster Father of Jesus and chaste Protector of Mary than the holy Joseph whose feast is always the symbol of purity, most always depicted by the pure Lily. Thus, as we noted, in some traditional chapels this feast is celebrated on the Third Wednesday after Easter. Speaking of that, those observing the liturgical calendar approved by Pope Pius XII observe that Solemnity on May 1 with the very same Propers of the Mass and celebrate the feast of the holy Apostles Sts. Philip and James on May 11. While those who still observe the liturgy as it was at the time of Pope St. Pius X celebrate the latter feast today. We offer both Propers to our readers as well as the beautiful devotion below, prayed throughout May.
Traditional Catholic Sermons provides the opportunity to to bring you a sermon of almost thirteen minutes by Fr. Anthony Cekada for the Fifth Sunday after Easter from back in 2009 as he reminds all of the Lesser Litanies during the upcoming Rogation Days. In praising God, Father speaks of the official liturgical prayer of the Church in sharing why and what it is. That would be the prayer every true priest must pray daily and now, through the worldwide web, it is available to laity to pray if they so wish. The prayer is The Divine Office

St. Athanasius, Doctor of the Church and Patriarch of Alexandria, one of the most renowned of the Fathers of the Church, was the heroic and successful defender of Catholic doctrine against Arius. After many sufferings in the cause of God's Church, he died May 2, 373. While living in Rome during his exile he described to the Romans the wonderful life of Antony and Pachomius in Egypt, sowing the seed of monasticism in Rome. He taught with great power the independence of the Church from civil authority.
It was the holy Bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Athanasius, whose feast we celebrate today with the Mass In medio Ecclesiae
Station for the first Rogation day is at St. Mary Major. Earthquakes and other calamities afflicted the diocese of Vienne in Dauphiné (France) in the fifth century, and St. Mamertus, who was bishop of that diocese, instituted a penitential procession with public supplications on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Ascension Day. In 816, Pope Leo III introduced it into Rome, and soon after it became a general observance throughout the Church. The Litany of the Saints, the psalms and prayers sung during the procession on these days are supplications: hence the name of Rogation days (rogare, to ask) ...More

The Cross on which Our Blessed Lord suffered for us was, following Jewish usage, buried on Mount Calvary after the Crucifixion. The precise spot was revealed in a vision to the Empress Helena, mother of Constantine, the first Christian Emperor. This date commemorates the recovery of the True Cross in the reign of the Emperor Heraclius and its delivery by him about the year 629 into the hands of the Patriarch Zacharias of Jerusalem, from which city it had been carried away some years previously by the Persians with the object of transporting it to their own country. God has been pleased to give so much power to the Cross that at its sign alone the demons fly; by it the priest blesses the faithful, the devout receive abundant graces. The early Christians had so much devotion to it that, according to the ancient Fathers, they never began any action without first making the sign of the cross upon themselves. In the Middle Ages no public deed, inscription, law etc., was begun to be written without first tracing upon it the sign of the cross. This sign was accepted as the signature of the uneducated; it often preceded that of ecclesiastics, and in many country districts even the dough and the bread were marked with a cross before they were baked.
In the Epistle the triumph of the Redeemer of the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ, must be preceded by "His humiliation unto death, even the death of the Cross." In the Gospel Christ reveals His mission in His discourse with Nicodemus: "The Son of Man must be lifted up" on the Cross for the salvation of mankind.
There is also a commemoration in the Collect, Secret and Postcommunion for Pope St. Alexander I, Sts. Eventius, Theodulus, and St. Juvenal, Martyrs.

IMITATION OF THE HOLY CROSS
This short litany prayer is said to have been found under the Sepulchre where Jesus was buried. It
is believed to have been sent by the Holy See to the Emperor Charles V who was
going to war against his enemies.
- God all powerful, who has suffered on the tree of the Cross be with
us.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ have pity on us.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ be our hope.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ turn away from us all sharp weapons.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ pour into us all good.
- Holy Cross Of Jesus Christ turn away from us all evil.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ make us well in the paths of salvation.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ preserve us from all spiritual and temporal
accidents.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ may we adore Thee.
- Holy Cross of Jesus Christ now and forever.
- Jesus of Nazareth, Crucified, have pity on us, make the invisible fly
far from us now and for ever and ever. Amen.
- (Holy Mary, Mother of God, St. Joseph, St. Michael the Archangel, and all ye Holy
Angels, protect us.)
According to legend, some claim some amazing promises such as he who prays this prayer, or hears it read or carries it about
with him shall not die a sudden death. He shall not be burned or drowned
or poisoned, nor fall into the hands of his enemies, nor be vanquished
in battle. A mother who reads this prayer or hears it read or carries it
about her, will be happily delivered, and when the baby is
born, if this prayer be put on it's right side it will be preserved
from a number of accidents. He who carries this prayer about him shall
be preserved from epilepsy. If this prayer be put on a person in an epileptic
fit, he or she will be relieved if not cured. Our Lord has promised to
bless him who recites or procures this prayer for himself or others, and
to punish him who scoffs at it. He who reads this prayer daily shall be
warned of the approach of his death, three days, by a divine sign. (source: Catholic Prayers)
That is the VerbumQUO for this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Finding of the Holy Cross Crucis is the Latin for "of the Cross", the singular possessive of the genitive and taken from today's Introit, Collect, Epistle, Secret and Communion for today's Proper of the Mass for the Finding of the True Cross Nos autem. The Holy Cross is the focal point of our lives for which we venerate and carry with us daily. As Christ showed that there can be no Resurrection without the Cross, there can be no Victory without the Cross for us. We must be willing to take up our cross and follow Him daily. Only then can we be assured of sharing in the triumph. This is illustrated in
By this Sign we will Conquer
Each day we shall feature a title and salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May for she is truly the Mother of Divine Grace. We encourage all to pray daily the Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Each day we shall feature a title and salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May for she is truly the Mother of Divine Grace. We encourage all to pray daily the Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and The Fatima Prayers.
On the fourth day of Mary's Month of May, the feast of Saint Monica the bouquet offered were the delicate, colorful PANSIES which represent the virtue of THOUGHTS OF HEAVEN. Few exemplified this virtue better than Saint Monica who spent every hour of her day praying and sacrificing for the conversion of her son Augustine. She constantly had thoughts of Heaven in her mind, heart and soul, praying so wholeheartedly for the spiritual welfare of her son who had gone astray. The pansies of persistence paid off as we know and Monica lived to see her son become a religious. All she had prayed for came true. So also with us if we offer Our Lady our pansies of heavenly thoughts, she will intercede before her divine Son and answer our prayers. For the daily devotion in May see For the daily devotion in May see The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary
On this feast of St. Monica we bring you a blast from the past, namely the late Cyndi Cain's lesson on the holy mother of the Doctor of Grace. They say behind every great man is a stronger woman and no one better illustrates that than the woman behind the holy Doctor of the Church St. Augustine. That woman was his mother, better known to us as the holy widow Saint Monica. She was a determined lady who, in God's eyes, can take full credit for what her son became because of her perseverance through prayer, which paid off big time in dividends that have increased the coffers of Heaven with countless souls over the centuries. Now that's moxie! But as Cyndi pointed out, no saint ever was dependant on prayer alone for God intended others to be instruments in helping others to get to Heaven's shore. Such assistance can come in many ways from praying unceasingly for loved ones and friends that they will see the light and be protected by God's good graces to even praying for our enemies. Assistance is also necessary to help those apostolates dedicated to spreading the Word of God as Jesus commands us to do. While it pays to pray, we pray more will pay in donating to the cause. In so many ways it is not "I" or "me", but "us" and "we" for only together can souls be saved and that is the greatest of payoffs as Cyndi explained with her lesson All should strive for St. Monica's Moxie

Station at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Forty days after the Resurrection, Our Lord Jesus Christ, attended by Angels, ascended into Heaven, in the sight of His most holy Mother Mary, His Apostles, and disciples, to the great wonder of them all. He entered into possession of the Kingdom of Heaven which He had gained by His sufferings, and St. Paul declares that God "hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus." "There where the Head has gone, the Body is called to follow!" The liturgical festival of the Ascension, whilst less ancient than that of Pentecost, is one of the oldest of the cycle, was already so universally observed that St. Augustine was able to attribute its institution to the Apostles themselves. At Rome, the Pope, after the night Office was concluded, and after Mass had been celebrated at the altar of St. Peter, was crowned by the cardinals, and towards the sixth hour was accompanied by bishops and clergy to the Lateran.
On this day Jesus was taken up into Heaven; His faithful disciples continued to gaze heavenward. The contemplative vision of Paradise is reserved, however, for those who have already passed into the Church Triumphant. The supreme glorification of the Head who is this day enthroned at the right hand of the Father in Heaven affects the members also, like the precious balsam which, as the psalmist tells us, descended from the head of Aaron on to his flowing beard and on to his gorgeous pontifical vestments. This spiritual unction is the gift of the Holy Ghost, which Christ obtains ...More
Superseded this year because of the First Class Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, May 5 is normally the feast of
Pope Saint Pius V came from a family in poor circumstances, and yet he went on to become a Dominican friar in his fifteenth year, then as a simple Religious, bishop, and as cardinal was famous for his intrepid defense of the Faith and discipline of the Church, and for the spotless purity of his life becoming the 225th Successor of Peter The secret of his power lay in seeking the glory of God alone, and in his constant attention to prayer.
By this latter means he overcame the insolence of the Turks and sanctified the people entrusted to his care. His name adorns the front page of the Roman Missal and Breviary, because it was by his authority that the revision of the liturgical books was brought to a conclusion.
Since his time the Holy See and the entire hierarchy have followed definitely the road of that salutary revival of the ecclesiastical spirit which was marked out by the Council of Trent. It is St. Pius V's famous and infallible decree Quo Primum which helps unlock the code hidden by the conciliar church in trying to snuff out the Traditional Latin Mass which St. Pius, in codifying the dogmatic decrees of Trent, set in stone for all perpetuity and no one, not even a future pope, could alter the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. He died in 1572.

In the Haydock Commentary for the Solemnity of the Ascension the Epistle and Gospel comprise the first words of the Acts of the Apostles and the last words of St. Mark all treated with the cogent comprehensive Haydock Catholic Commentary provided by John Gregory. The Lord has completed His work on earth. He has entrusted to His hand-chosen band of disciples, hardly saints at the time of His Ascension, His Spirit - the Holy Ghost. Within days they will be transformed and given the grace, gifts and fruits to carry out His command in St. Mark to preach the gospel to every creature and to assure them that if they believe and are baptized they will be saved. He leaves the dire warning so ignored today, that if they do not they will be condemned. Stronger words Christ did not speak. The sad fact is that so few have heeded His failsafe words. Failsafe Words
Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph's Minor Seminary in Rathdrum, Idaho at the City of Mary presents a short six and a half minute sermon recorded three years ago and made available through Traditional Catholic Sermons for the First Class Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord. Father talks of how so many don't realize how foolish they are who do focus on preparing for eternity. We should concentrate not on this life as much as the next. Eschew the honors and praise of the world, and seek a greater reward in Heaven for we are what we are in the eyes of God, not man. Father explains in his sermon on The Ascension .

Forty days after rising from the dead, the Son of God returns to the Father as He said He would, but He has promised His Spirit would be with His disciples until the consummation of the world. That assurance we have in ten days when we celebrate the birthday of His Holy Church on Pentecost. Today we celebrate His glorious Ascension into Heaven where He remains until He returns as He promised. When that will be no one knows, but He has given us the signs that the time is near from His discourse in the Gospel of St. Matthew and indeed much of what He foretold has come to pass including the "abomination of desolation" which we can clearly see is the abominable Novus Ordo 'missae', which is also in lockstep with the New World Order ( novus ordo seclorum) that will adopt satan as their leader once all are under his control. No wonder Jesus said aloud His curiosity of whether there will be any faith left when the Son of man returns in St. Luke 18: 8. Food for thought as we celebrate this Holy Day of Obligation where, following the Gospel, the Paschal candle is extinguished and then removed. We encourage you to read Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's inspiring piece for this Solemnity with Baptize All Men, Teach All Nations
John Gregory provides inspiration for the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven in a meditation of the Second Glorious Mystery. The Son of God has gone to prepare a place for us, and thus the effects of the Ascension remain an on-going mystery for Christ continues to prepare for us at the Father's right hand and in that wondrous news is extended the greatest hope to all for where Christ has gone He waits for us to follow in a place of everlasting happiness for those who are obedient to His teachings and cooperate with the divine Will. Just as Jesus left instructions for His Apostles, He has left us inerrant instructions that, if we follow fully, will assure us of being with Him forever. John provides reflections on The Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension
Each day we shall feature a title and salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May for she is truly the Mother of Divine Grace. We encourage all to pray daily the Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and The Fatima Prayers.

On the fifth day of Mary's Month of May, the feast of the holy Sovereign Pontiff Pope Saint Pius V the flower contributing to the bouquet offered to the Blessed Mother is the MARGUERITE which represents SIMPLICITY so perfect for this holy saintly Shepherd who, through his infallible decree Quo Primum, sought to make worship so simple with the infrangible Mass of all Ages - the Apostolic Latin Holy Sacrifice of the Mass set in stone by the dogmatic Council of Trent and codified by this holy Pope for all posterity. How simple can it be? This is the way it is as St. Pius laid out in following the infallible tenets of Trent, and all one needs do is follow those rules and rubrics. Simple! But it is the devil who complicates things and therein we can see his complicity in Vatican II and how Our Lady has wept so at so many who who have apostacized from her divine Son's Church. For the daily devotion in May see The Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary

While we have today two CONciLIAR clowns posing as 'pope', and in the darkness that has been continually carried out at the Vatican in the fated endeavor to 'canonize' Vatican 2 in order to cast the Council of Trent into oblivion, it brings home the stark difference between a true Pontiff who was truly holy and humble without shouting it to the world and who not only upheld her divine Son's Church in the face of the rebellious reformation by codifying the infallible, doctrinal documents of the holy Council of Trent including the Immemorial Apostolic Mass of All Time with his landmark decrees Quo Primum and De Defectibus in assuring the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass would remain pure in every way for all time ("in perpetuity"), but also called upon the Mother of God to defeat the Islamic threat upon Rome and all of Europe, this despite being terribly outmanned in the Battle of Lepanto. As we know, through Our Lady's intercession, Don Juan of Austria and his Christian warriors were victorious in turning back the superior Turkish armada and St. Pius dedicated October 7 to her as Our Lady of Victory, since established as a universal feast of Our Lady of the Rosary for that was the weapon the Sovereign Pontiff called all of the faithful to employ in Consueverunt Romani in evening the odds against the infidels. Today we celebrate his universal feast and are encouraged to remember that even when everyone think things are hopeless, and, yes, impossible, we can take great hope in remembering Christ's words in St. Matthew 19: 26, St. Mark 10: 27, and St. Luke 18:27, "with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." So also in our time when things look so bleak and the Church St. Pius V so loved and protected is in eclipse. The darkness will pass and the Light will shine again. We have God's word on that with Quo Primum and De Defectibus and Consueverunt Romani
The VerbumQUO for today on the Feast of the holy and worthy Pope Saint Pius V is "ædificábo" which is "I will build" for the Latin future first conjugation singular of ædificáre. This verb fits perfectly with Pope St. Pius V for he, of all Popes, built what Christ had established 1525 years earlier by codifying the infallible dogmatic decrees of the Council of Trent and set in stone "in perpetuity" the continual Sacrifice with the Latin Mass, often called Tridentine Mass from the time of Trent, but known universally today as the Traditional Latin Mass with his infallible Papal Bull Quo Primum, assuring the bread and wine would be properly confected through his decree De defectibus. All that he did in building safeguards and preserving the Truths and Traditions is, in the face of all the conciliar church has tried to destroy, truly The True Reason for celebrating Cinco de Mayo

Jesus had promised James and John, sons of Zebedee, that they should drink the chalice of His passion so as to participate in the triumph of the Resurrection (Gospel). The Emperor Domitian caused John to be brought to Rome and condemned him to be plunged into a cauldron of boiling oil. But St. John, by a striking miracle, came forth from this torment more healthy and vigorous than before. A sanctuary was built on this spot near the Latin gate and dedicated to the holy apostle. There is held the Station on Passion Saturday. See the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for St. John at the Latin Gate

Today we begin the oldest novena of the Church, the Novena to the Holy Ghost and if ever we needed the Advocate's help it is now in 2016 when souls and hearts have hardened and grown lukewarm in their comfort zones, which surely can't be pleasing to the Sanctifier. In the face of this ennui to the spiritual crisis that has caused so much destruction to body and soul since the death of the last true Pope on October 9, 1958, we ask when will we wake up from this free fall and grab the parachute God offers? If only we would reach out and make the effort to save not only our own souls but those of our fellow man, we'd see a tremendous change in attitude and conversions. It is what Christ commands us to do and that command begins with the only ones who have the jurisdiction and authority to provide the true sacraments to souls - the traditional bishops who hold the key to returning sanity and sanctity. Let us pray the Holy Ghost will touch them and move them to set aside their petty differences and be the apostles we need them to be, that God needs them to be. Let us dedicate this nine day Novena to our true shepherds with the First Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost
Each day we shall feature a title and salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May for she is truly the Spiritual Vessle. We encourage all to pray daily the Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and The Fatima Prayers.

Today is the feast of the holy Polish martyr Saint Stanislaus, who was Bishop of Cracow. King Boleslaw II was outraging the whole kingdom by his acts of lust and cruelty. St. Stanislaus, finding all remonstrances useless, excommunicated him. By order of the king he was cut in pieces at the foot of the altar while celebrating ...More

Fear of the Lord seems to be forgotten in so many today who go about their lives without fearing what the Lord will do because of their hardened hearts and devil-may-care attitude that they can do whatever they want. Oh, will they be surprised. Let us pray it will not be too late when they realize the devil doesn't care because he already has them in his grip, but God does and if they do not develop a Holy Fear they will when they stand before their Judge and hear their sentence. Talk about fear! That is why to be truly Catholic one must fear the Lord not for the punishments He may dole to those who do not follow His divine will, but for fear of offending Him. That is where love comes into play for if we truly love God, we will care how He feels and do everything we can to alleviate the wrath of the Almighty Whose cup by now is running over with the offenses against Him and His Natural Laws. Let us pray the Holy Ghost will soften the hardened hearts, warm the cold dones, and bring them to the realization of how having a Holy Fear is a true gift of the Holy Ghost as we pray the Second Day of the Novena to the Holy Ghost
Each day we feature a title and/or salutation to Our Lady in celebration of Mary's month of May. Keep in mind that through Mary we are more resolute in cooperating with her divine Son in all things for she is the Gate of Heaven. Now let's all thank her by praying daily her Holy Rosary and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and The Fatima Prayers.

As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward any bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the conciliar collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

To fortify why the CONciLIAR church is the false church, see key Papal Decrees that preceded it in pre-Vatican Two times by true Popes who solidly condemned the V2 false 'popes' who have spit in Heaven's Face. God will not be mocked. See for yourself what the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church has decreed:

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

Prayer Before the Crucifix
Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."
Plenary Indulgence, Condition:
- Confession
- Communion
- One Our Father
- One Hail Mary
- One Glory be...
Pope Pius IX, July 31, 1858

The Fatima Prayers
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)
O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!
O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
