We ease into the third week after Easter with the liturgy for the Second Sunday after Easter, also called Good Shepherd Sunday for Jesus is the Good Shepherd Whose sheep know Him and He knows them. The saintly shepherds of the Church Pope St. Leo the Great, St. Joseph and St. Justin the Martyr, whom we celebrate this week, illustrate how, when correctly directed, we cannot go wrong. Something that cannot be said of the CONciLIAR church which, as the nefarious hireling, has allowed the wolf to scatter and devour souls. The former now seeks to erase many Catholic truths and traditions, especially with Mr. Bergoglio's scandalous, sacrilegious release of Amoris laetitia where evidently anything goes as long as you're tolerant and toe the PC line. What can we do but what St. Paul counsels in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14, to "stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle" for we know that what is coming out of Modernist Rome is anathema just as the holy Apostle of the Gentiles warned in Galatians 1: 8-10. We remind all that the Regina Coeli replaces the Angelus during Paschaltide. Let us pray.
O God, Who through the resurrection of Thy Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, hast vouchsafed to make glad the whole world, grant us, we beseech Thee, that, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
During this week which we are calling "Good Shepherd Week" due to the theme of the Second Sunday after Easter, we can see the ranks of the faithful shrinking to horrific numbers, thus making all the clearer Christ's words in Luke 8: 18, But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, faith on earth?. That is because lost today are the vast majority of the sheep because the so-called shepherds of the modern church, while masquerading as priests and prelates, are truly wolves who have ravaged souls for the past fifty years or so. Other than traditional priests and bishops ordained in the true Sacrament of Holy Orders, all those "ordained" or "consecrated" since 1968 with the man-made rite of Giovanni Montini have no more authority or power than a protestant minister, who, as Pope Leo XIII perfectly put it, "are completely null and utterly void." The fact is not since His Holiness Pope Pius XII have we had a true shepherd sitting in the Chair of Peter. That has greatly contributed to the chaos the world faces today because since the early part of the Conclave of 1958, when the Holy Ghost withdrew His protection because a false church was determined to eclipse the true Church. How long that will last is anybody's guess, but the more we see, the further away the counterfeit CONciLIAR church is out-protestanting the Protestants, and even the heathens! You see, through the Vatican 2 secular humanism man has replaced God!

To offset this apostasy, we remind you of your opportunity to pray each evening with others by calling into moderator Tom Gillbrough for Rosary Conference Call at 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 9 p.m. Central, 8 p.m. Mountain, and 7 p.m. in the Pacific Daylight time zone. You are encouraged to call in ten minutes before the hour so that the Rosary can start on time with no latecomers to upset the reverence and continuity of the Blessed Virgin Mary's holy Psalter. For those who want to stay on after the five decades, they may join in praying the other two sets of mysteries not covered for that day. Monday and Thursday are the Joyful mysteries, Tuesday and Friday are the Sorrowful mysteries, and Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday are the Glorious mysteries. Traditional Catholics never acknowledge the heretical luminous mysteries. Why? Because Heaven bestowed the holy Rosary to St. Dominic to fight the heresy of Albigensianism in 1214. Mary stipulated that the three sets of mysteries made up Christ's life through her and they represented the 150 Psalms which, when divided by the Trinitarian number 3 equals 50 Aves. Victorious over the Albgensians, it remained the same with miraculous results for nearly 800 years until unsaint JP2 decided he'd add the Masonic luminous mysteries. With that unprecedented move in which man thought he knew better than God, the number jumped to four sets of mysteries equalling 200 Aves. To show how demonic this is, when you divide 200 by the Trinitarian number 3 you get 666! That should tell you all you need to know about Vatican 2 and it's false 'popes'.

I know it's a shock to most to realize they're barking up the wrong tree, the one without the true barque of Peter. It was to us when we connected all the dots and finally came to the conclusion that the only syllogism possible to verify Christ's words was that the true Church remains in an interminable interregnum, chiefly because a heretic cannot be a pope, not to mention how those men occupying the Chair since the death of His Holiness of happy memory Pope Pius XII's death on October 9, 1958. The links we provide above to other ports verifies this fact.

All we ask is that you pray for the grace to see the veracity of what is presented. It can be a tremendous task to leave the comfort zone of a religion that has relaxed so much, but isn't it worth it for your salvation? That was the decision we came to after realizing how much we were duped - yes, we're not alone - for as Jesus said in St. Matthew 24: 24-25: "insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Behold I have told it to you, beforehand." We've been warned, and yet so many refuse to connect the dots. It behooves you to do so and do so soon.

To help you connect the dots and to keep abreast of events, their causes and consequences, while exposing the charlatans who are out to sabotage the pure Catholic Faith, we also confidently recommend trusted ports like NovusOrdoWatch.org and Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as three blogs worth your while, Introibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Cekada's Quidlibet, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge. They will all weigh in on the consequences of the release of the dastardly document Amoris laetitia in which the so-called "Joy of love" could very well turn into Morte animarum - "Death of souls" because of the ambiguous time-bombs so reminicent of Vatican 2 documents. So stay tuned to our DailyCatholic Twitter Feed for the latest as well as the editor's SANCTUS facebook page

Finally, it has to be said. As much as we hate to beg, we have no choice. If you have benefited in anyway from what we have published, we humbly ask your help to keep this publication on line. We know that so many of our readers are unable to assist at a true traditional Latin Mass because of where they live and use the daily liturgy we publish to gain the efficacious graces possible through their prayers at home. We remain the only publication in the world to provide such and are grateful to God that we can provide such nourishment for souls. We urgently ask if you can contribute anything in these tight times, we would be so appreciative for the coffers are truly bare. Think of all the untold millions being thrown into the election process this year.If you've contributed to a campaign, can't you spare a crumb for this apostolate to convert apostates? If you are still in the category of the lukewarm, then you will pass over this plea and move on to the next thing that tickles your fancy. But if you truly want to commit, we offer you the opportunity below to put that commitment into action for the good of saving souls. If you have not donated before, isn't it only right and proper to donate now? Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. Just click the button below or send a check/money order to the address below. We are a bonafide non-profit 501c(3) religious association and all donations are tax-deductible. Whatever you would have contributed toward a bloated political campaigns or thrown away in the CONciLIAR collection plates that only goes to covering up the sins of its presbyters and false primates while destroying all semblence of Catholicism, why not earmark it for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic? After all, shouldn't we all take St. Paul's strong counsel in 2 Thessalonians 2: 14 to heart and "stand firm, and hold the traditions which you have learned"?

Today is best known as "Good Shepherd Sunday" after the Gospel of St. John where Christ reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd, "Ego sum Pastor Bonus". The Station is at St. Peter's in Rome. On this Sunday St. Gregory the Great delivered his magnificent homily on the Gospel of the Good Shepherd, near the tomb of the first universal pastor. Christ founded the papal primacy on the unshakable faith and intense love of Peter; and he, following in his Savior's steps, did not hesitate to give his life for the flock entrusted to him. The devotion to Jesus the Redeemer under the figure of the Good Shepherd was dear to the faithful from very early times; in the catacombs Christ is frequently represented as a shepherd. The liturgical and traditional use of the Gospel of the Good Shepherd on the second Sunday after Easter is very old. Jesus, therefore, presents Himself to us to-day as the "Good Shepherd" and tells us what will henceforth be His relationship with His flock. Of those outside the fold Our Lord speaks gently; not a word of reproach but merely a statement of facts. More for Second Sunday after Easter

John Gregory has graciously provided Father George Leo Haydock's commentaries on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The Second Sunday following Easter is often referred to as Good Shepherd Sunday for the Gospel of St. John in which Christ proclaims that He is the Good Shepherd and He knows His sheep and they know Him. He identifies those who are not true shepherds for they will flee and leave the flock to fend for themselves, but not before they have weakened them further by not instilling sound doctrine and safeguards for their souls. Sound familiar? Today's CONciLIAR church has false shepherds who have an agenda to please man, not God. We know they are false shepherds from the chief unFrancis lay shepherd the world considers as pope all the way down to the lowliest priest for there are so few true priests left thanks to the false shepherd Paul VI daring to alter what Christ established. As St. Paul says so clearly in Galatians 1: 8, if some one preach other than what is Catholic truth, let them be condemned, just as the dogmatic Council of Trent reaffirmed. We see so clearly Our Lord's words My Sheep know Me

Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph's Minor Seminary in Rathdrum, Idaho at the City of Mary presents a nine-minute sermon for the Second Sunday after Easter, also known as "Good Shepherd" Sunday after the Epistle and Gospel in which Father addresses how we, as His sheep in the pasture, must love and obey our Shepherd if we want to remain safe in His graces. When we stray, we become lost and are vulnerable to the ravenous wolves and lions and other predators of the world, the flesh and the devil. We need to heed Him, His true Church and remain in grace, but that can only be done if we Know Our Lord and Imitate Him

Saint Leo was born in Rome. He embraced the sacred ministry, was made Archdeacon of the Roman Church by Pope Saint Celestine, and under the same Vicar of Christ and Saint Sixtus III, had a large share in governing the Church. On the death of Sixtus, Leo was chosen Pope, and consecrated on September 29, 440 on the feast Saint Michael, amid great joy. It was the time of terrible trial which preceded by thirty years the definitive fall of the Roman Empire. Vandals and Huns were wasting the provinces of the empire, and Nestorians, Pelagians, and other heretics wrought still more grievous havoc in souls. While Leo's zeal was making headway against these perils, there arose the new heresy of Eutyches, who confounded the two natures of Christ. At once the vigilant pastor proclaimed the true doctrine of the Incarnation in his famous "tome"; but fostered by ...More

During this Paschaltide we celebrate the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church and Roman Pontiff Saint Leo the Great. This phenomenal saint was so vigilant and masterful in all he did from staving off the devastating Arian heresy, to reinstating solid doctrine when the Robbers Council sought to undermine the Faith (sound familiar to another Robber Council held from 1962 to 1965?) to miraculously stopping the "Scourge of God" Attila the Hun in his tracks at the gates of Rome. Through the grace of God and Leo's heroic virtue, the ruthless barbarian left without sacking the city. Leo was the only Vicar of Christ to convene two major ecumenical councils. He is best remembered as the "Defender of Rome" Such was the fifth century spiritual giant St. Leo the Great Defender of Rome and Codifier of Orthodoxy. Codifier of Orthodoxy

In Book Four, Chapter Eighteen of the Prophesies and Revelations of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, she lavishes the Blessed Virgin Mary with praise and then Our Lady relates the symbolism of St. John the Baptist as obedience, St. Peter as faithfulness and St Paul as patience. The Blessed Mother instructs that her words are not meant only for Bridget but for all her children as God so wishes to build a foundation for the stool, so to speak, is held up by the legs of these holy virtues personified by said saints. In this way God's holy and immaculate Ark of the Covenant grants Bridget, bride of Christ, many graces as well as many other good things both from herself and from the apostles and saints. Pegging the three pegs

Jesus, therefore, presents Himself to us to-day as the "Good Shepherd" and tells us what will henceforth be His relationship with His flock. How wonderful is the ...More

In continuing our series intent on simplifying the holy Faith for those so confused over the past 50 years by all the alterations of the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church, we focus today on the very essence of the Church Christ founded: the four indelible Marks of the Church that prove She is the only true Church, the only true religion by which we can reach Heaven. Christ as said it, that settles it. Over two millennia, many churches, claiming to be Christian, have broken away from the One True Church established by Christ. To date there are over 33,000 different sects who thought they had a better idea than the Son of God. These sects were founded by men who had no authority from God to found a church and this is proven by the fact they do not possess the four necessary indelible marks for authenticity. In step three we provide the evidence for this and how one can always prove the Catholic Church is the only true Church for She alone possesses the four indelible Marks of being One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic

In Book Four, Chapter Nineteen of the Revelations and Prophesies of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, she venerates the Mother of God with the highest praise of Our Lady's virtue and beauty, and the Blessed Virgin Mary's answer confirms St. Bridget's praise, calling to mind the source of all beauty comes from true Beauty, God Himself, and then Mary's divine Son affirms both the bride and His Immaculate Mother's words and makes a magnificent comparison to Mary as a goldsmith crafting the most beautiful object possible. All that glitters is gold

Besides March 19, the Church has designated this day to honor the esteemed holy St. Joseph with a Double of the First Class observance of the foster-father of Jesus and chaste protecting spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is celebrated by the Church on the third Wednesday after Easter which always falls on the Wednesday after Good Shepherd Sunday. The Epistle speaks to us of Joseph who in the Old Testament is a figure of St. Joseph. The dying Jacob prophesies that his son Joseph shall be the pastor and strength of Israel and that the Almighty shall shower blessing over the entire land of Egypt, so that the salvation of all depended upon him. The whole church has recourse to St. Joseph with confidence. ...More

Traditionally the Third Wednesday after Easter is the celebration of the First Class Solemnity of Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus and chaste earthly spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This man, though whom not one word is recorded in Sacred Scripture that he might have spoken, spoke volumes through this holy craftsman's actions as the quiet guardian of Jesus in His formative years. So also in our formative years of learning the holy Faith, which can last a lifetime, we can learn much from this sainted man known as The Silent Assassin. For special devotions to St. Joseph, see Prayer to St. Joseph prescribed by Pope Leo XIII to be recited on this Third Wednesday after Easter

In Book Four, Chapter Twenty of the Prophesies and Revelations of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, the pure lamb of a saint Saint Agnes returns yet again with a lesson to the daughter about not relapsing into old habits, but also cautions on not taking on such a schedule of austerity and prayer life that it would become a burden for satan works to dishearten even the most devout souls in bidding them to despair. St. Agnes compares God to an eagle Who can see from a perspective we cannot and He can detect and protect us from the dangers that lurk in our path from the deadly serpent to the sharp spikes of the world, the flesh and the devil. God will protect us as an eagle protects her young. And we must trust Him to swoop in and do what is right for us according to His divine Will. Keep an eagle-eye out for the devil's wiles

Saint Justin, a converted philosopher, and probably priest, is the greatest of the early Apologetes. Before arriving at the sublime knowledge of the Cross he passed through all the various schools of philosophy. He fearlessly proclaimed Christianity, both in argument with the Jew Trypho and in his Apologies to the Emperors and the Senate. As in the writings of St. Justin, so in his Mass said today, the antithesis between human learning and divine knowledge is ever recurring. Thus in the Gradual we read "The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (I Cor. III, 19). Under the Emperor Marcus Aurelius he was scourged and put to death April 13, 162. His tomb is believed to be in the Cemetery of Priscilla, and in 1882, Pope Leo XIII made him after Thomas Aquinas, Patron of Catholic Philosophy, and prescribed the celebration of his feast throughout the whole Church. There is also a commemoration of three more martyrs in today's Mass - Sts. Tiburtius, Valerian and Maximus. St. Valerian was espoused to St. Cecilia, and was converted to the Faith by her, and with her became the means of converting his brother, Tiburtius. Maximus, the officer appointed to attend their execution, was brought to the faith by their example ...More

In continuing our series intent on simplifying the holy Faith for those so confused over the past 50 plus years by all the alterations of the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church, we focus today on the very essence of the Church Christ founded: the four indelible Marks of the Church that prove She is the only true Church, the only true religion by which we can reach Heaven. Christ as said it, that settles it. Over two millennia, many churches, claiming to be Christian, have broken away from the One True Church established by Christ. In Book Four, Chapter Twenty-one of the Prophesies and Revelations of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, the bride's words to God concern His virtue and splendor. In response the Blessed Virgin Mary provides a consoling answer to the daughter how God's good servants should not stop preaching and admonishing people, whether the people convert or not; the Virgin shows this by means of a comparison that He will reward those who proclaim His name and word to all they meet, which justifies traditional apostolates to continue extolling the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church and exposing the charlatans of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Never stop preaching the truth

Bishop Daniel Dolan, pastor of St. Gertrude the Great in the Cincinnati area presents a 5 minute sermon to the children on St. Justin the Martyr who was a great philosopher of his time and through his teaching built bridges to God to convert souls for that is what we all are called to do - build bridges to help more cross the rivers of life to Heaven's safe shore as His Excellency notes in honoring both St. Justin and a literal bridge-builder - little St. Benedict the Bridge-Builder, a shepherd boy in the 12th century who actually built a bridge in Avignon. As St. Christopher carried people across the river, so also the bridge-building saint, with God's help, built a bridge when he had no knowledge of it, only that he listened to God. His Excellency explains in his sermon on St. Justin the Martyr

Contrary to those men posing as 'popes' from John23-Roncalli through unFrancis-Bergoglio, who long ago abandoned Christ and His Church, while proclaiming to the world that the Church was wrong and that She made many mistakes. It is the same pattern John Paul2-Wojtyla used on the First Sunday of Lent in the late nineties in apologizing for the "sins of the Church." Jorge has been even worse. These heresies alone would be enough to prove to anyone with common sense that they could not possibly be true popes according to the perennial Magisterium of the Church in preserving the Sacred Deposit of Faith. But then such deductions make good sense and good is no longer common these days. Make sense? What must make sense to all is that, despite man's fallen human nature he can make mistakes and does, but never can a true Pope err on matters of faith and morals when speaking ex cathedra. Fortunately the Holy Ghost has protected the true Church from error as Christ promised by not allowing anything infallible to be pronounced since 1950. Why? Because She is the spotless, Mystical Bride of Christ. We need to remember always God's Apodictic Assurance Since The Apostles .

In Book Four, Chapter Twenty-two of the Prophesies and Revelations of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, Christ conjectures how, if it were possible for God to regret, which it is not, He would regret creating man for the ungrateful human has sought to forge his own path regardless of God's will. Jesus laments how human malice in modern times surpasses the cunning of the devil, and about how people are now quicker to sin than the devil is to tempt, and he provides the sentence pronounced against such people, and how God's friends should labor with courage and haste in their preaching; also, He shares how He imparts the infusion of knowledge in God's friends. He also indicates that even in Bridget's time the Holy See was not vigilant and the light of truth growing dimmer until today we see it is totally eclipsed. Thank God that God's merciful

The Mass of the Blessed Virgin shows us Mary as Mother of our Savior. She was predestined from all eternity for the role of co-redemptrix (Epistle), for as Eve was the intermediary chosen by the angel of darkness to bring about the fall of Adam, so also Mary the intermediary to whom the angel Gabriel delivered the message of salvation from Heaven. She is also blessed since she heard the word of God and obeyed it (Gospel). See the Votive Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday Salve, sancte parens

Over the centuries for two millennium, factions outside and inside the Church have tried to bring Her down, to devastate and destroy the one institution created by God on earth. At every turn, despite the carnage of souls in its aftermath such as the Arian crisis, the Protestant Rebellion, the French Revolution and the greatest revolution in the history of the Church: Vatican II, the Church has not buckled, but has only rebounded and grown stronger. While many wonder if that is possible this time in the face of what the Modernist apostates have done over the past 50 plus years, we must trust in Jesus and realize He will not allow His Mystical Bride to die for She is spotless, created from the Sacred Heart, nourished and saved by His Most Precious Blood and the Water of Salvation that flowed from His side on Calvary. Christ's love is unconditional, neverending and proof that the Church, The Spotless Bride of Christ is Indefectible .

In Book Four, Chapter Twenty-three of the Prophesies and Revelations of the holy mystic St. Bridget of Sweden, she hears the holy St. John the Evangelist conversing with the glorious Blessed Virgin Mary about a mere sinful hypocrite, and then Our Lady's answer to the beloved disciple before she addresses Bridget regarding a certain Cistercian priest's characteristics as she describes the devil's deceptions toward this man who had been in apostasy for 18 years, and what happened to him. Our Lady describes how the good spirit is recognized by seven signs and the bad spirit can also be discerned by as many contrasting signs. Seven Up: Good; Seven Down: Bad

The links above and below provide almost daily updates. The two above can be trusted totally, while we urge a mild caution on the two below because of their refusal to admit Francis is a false pope.

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

    Plenary Indulgence, Condition:
    • Confession
    • Communion
    • One Our Father
    • One Hail Mary
    • One Glory be...
Pope Pius IX, July 31, 1858

  • The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
