Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica begins today a multi-part essay on the growing problem that is becoming worse with every generation - that is the Catholic identity crisis in the United States today. On the heels of his satirical, "If Americans Chose the Pope", Gabriel gets down to serious side for taking our Faith seriously is a very serious matter. In his first installment he treats the case of identity theft and names the culprits - the faux Catholic organizations that have been empowered by spineless shepherds who long ago were guilty of mutiny against the Barque of Peter and have commandeered the Ship of Fools. Gabriel sounds the clarion though there are many who call themselves Catholic, by their actions and beliefs they are in no way on board the Barque of Peter. Rather, they sail on a larger armada that today dwarfs the Barque. This massive fleet that seeks to sink the true Barque of Peter is best known as the Ship of Fools and a word to the wise is sufficient: Abandon that ship immediately! Gabriel explains in his first installment of his multi-part series Catholic Identity Crisis in the USA with Part One Catholic Identity Theft!
The Sanity of Sanctity
In an effort to storm Heaven with prayers that Benedict XVI will turn out to be a St. Benedict and not a Benedict Arnold, we call upon his patron saint to guide him to truly become a universal holy father and abandon the path to perdition embarked on by Vatican II, and return Eternal Rome to the Holy See and all of Christendom. This Novena, which has been running from April 22 to today, leads into the universal Feast of St. Joseph the Worker tomorrow, for indeed, there is much work to do in rebuilding Christ's one, true Church as He intended. We entreat all to pray as one for the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church in this most pivotal time ever in history. Today we invite you to pray the final Ninth Day of the Novena to Saint Joseph for the Universal Church
White Smoke, Black Fire!
We encourage readers hooked on "White Smoke, Black Fire!" to concentrate on the similarities in this novel - first written in 1986 for these very times - with actual events happening right now. Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, Stephen introduces the Prince of the Conclave to Colin Rembert, who introduces a new marvel of technology to the giddy Cardinal "Marconi." Meanwhile, thanks to the latest in lazer surgery, the Vatican chief physician Dr. Giuseppe Ghislieri has Pat on the road to recovery though the doctor and nurses still think he is Cardinal Zachmunn's assistant Fr. Donaldson. Meanwhile Stephen has returned to the utility room with questions haunting him about the amazing, but mysterious "Penultimate" he has been given. Is it a trap? Once Sister Bridie returns she tries to smuggle Stephen to the infirmary in the same manner Pat was ferried in, but alas they are intercepted by the nefarious Cardinal Macelli. As the elevator descends to the basement, it looks like curtains for both Sister and Stephen buried beneath a mound of sheets and terry cloth. The suspense builds in the fourth episode of Part IV, the Seventh Chapter The Shrouding: Bugs, Bandages and Basement Blues
Catholic PewPOINT
Today marks the end of the ten-day moratorium in which editor Michael Cain has withheld comments about Benedict XVI until the inevitable was only too obvious. Now, on the vigil of one of the greatest saints known for making sure popes adhered to the Faith, Cain speaks out. He does not rant on about what Ratzinger/Benedict has said, but in just what he has done over the first ten days. Sadly, that says volumes of what his papacy portends. As Cain points out, that is not good and in emulating tomorrow's saint the holy Catherine of Siena, we must be vigilant of the Deposit of the Faith and demand the hierarchs do the same and more. Cain shows the slide toward perdition so visually depicted in the papal coats of arms of the men who have sat on the throne of Peter over the past half century. He lays out seven diadems that signal the Ratz-glitz we can sadly expect more of in the shell game Benedict XVI plans on playing out in the same manner he did when a cardinal and before as a periti at Vatican II. Cain explains in his editorial Pray for the conversion of Benedict XVI

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, Lorenzo reveals the explosive nature and limitations of the mylar on the charred crucifix Niki retrieved from Fasif's estate while Elena Grabe, masked as a nun, intimidates Sister Bridie into handing over the keys to the Papal Quarters. Good thing the diminutive Irish nun took precautions previously as the reader is given more background on the proceedings before the Conclave and the Sistine Chapel as Stephen encounters a mysterious Australian beneath the timeless tableau of the master of masters Michelangelo in the third episode of Part IV, the Seventh Chapter The Shrouding: Machinations, Miscreants and Michelangelo
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica provides a tongue-in-cheek look at what would happen if Americans chose the next Roman Pontiff. Considering the hierarchy of the American Media which sent the message loud and clear that the only thing that mattered was how Benedict XVI would play with 'American Catholics' and, for that matter, with feminists, pro-aborts, and sodomites, Gabriel lays out the possibilities if the American political system took over the election of a pope. As shocking as it might sound in the face of tradition over the past 2000 years, it is not as far-fetched as one might think considering how far the princes of the modern church have veered from the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church as upheld and practiced from Peter through Pius XII. We can see already the modernists have turned the tiara in for a party hat. Gabriel explains in If Americans Chose The Pope...

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, Father Niki Andriopoulos and Dr. Makuta Ogidi uncover clues to the Legion's scheme of how the Legion is going to smuggle inside the walls of the Vatican the weapon of Mass Destruction. Meanwhile Monsignor Stephen Navarro and Sr. Bridie, working on the inside, help treat a fast-weakening Pat Gallagher. Realizing he needs hospital attention, they concoct a way for Sister to smuggle Pat beneath the towels into the Vatican Infirmary as two of the Legion cardinals plot the destruction of the Holy See in the second episode of Part IV, the Seventh Chapter The Shrouding: Trojan Horses
2005 UGLIES
On the Feast of Saint Peter Canisius, known as the "Windmill of Wisdom" we announced the wisdom of the readers on who they chose for the ill-fated 2005 UGLIES Presentation. The readers cast their votes and we revealed whom they chose. Like last year, we tallied the ones receiving the most votes as the most Unprincipled Garrulous Liberal Idiot Embracing Sin (UGLIES). The whole purpose of the UGLIES is to expose sin for what it is: UGLY, and to discredit those who tolerate it and who seek to perpetuate tolerance by accepting what is unacceptable to God and therefore must be to us as well. It is appropriate that they were presented on the Feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Peter Canisius for this Dutch roto-rooter drove out sin and heresy by always uncompromisingly speaking the truth. Thus the second annual UGLIES awards are meant to expose the persistent sin of these fools so that the sheep might be aware of those promoting the world, the flesh and the devil. Since our modern shepherds have failed us, this is our tongue-in-cheek way to bring it to everyone's attention in the 2004 UGLIES

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, as the Pope struggles for life, Niki and Dr. Ogidi track two members of the Legion of the Basilisk to a home in the hills. Meanwhile Monsignor Stephen Navarro has recruited Sister Bridie to help tend to Pat's wounds. Gallagher takes her into his confidence, relating how close the Basilisk has penetrated within the Holy See in the first episode of Part IV, the Seventh Chapter The Shrouding: Trackers and Triage
THE STRAIGHT STUFF
As has been established, Griff Ruby is well-known for taking on tough subjects and not shying away from controversy. Today, despite the calls to take it easy on the new man in charge in modern Rome - Benedict XVI - the heretical bread crumbs Ratzinger has left behind, beginning with the famous subsistit in in Lumen Gentium, will forever haunt him until he wipes the slate clean and recants those two little words and all that they imply. Only then will we begin to see a healing and a truly Catholic reconnection of many members to the lifeline of Holy Mother Church - the Mystical Body of Christ. Griff brings up an interesting fact that it is not so important as who is in charge in Rome today, but what that person - in this case Benedict XVI - is in charge of! Considering how it was his pushing the ecumenical agenda in the Vatican II documents, he has basically painted himself into a corner where the most radical of factions try to justify their position in light of Lumen Gentium. Griff explains how and why Benedict XVI has his work cut out for him and it would have to be a total 180 for him to do the right thing. Ruby documents this in his essay Benedict XVI can save the Church, but will he?

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, the power of prayer calls forth the mercy of God where the blood of martyrs became the seed of Christianity. He who was dead has arisen and Pat can relate, miraculously revived from the state of death. Needing medical care and a new-found fearlessness, Monsignor Stephen Navarro steals Pat inside the Vatican where Macelli has discovered Stephen missing. Avoiding detection while still trying to save Captain Riage Benziger, the hero lives within the noble Swiss Guard's veins and soul, but not so his body inside Father Roberto Urazzi's Vatican office. The startled amateur assassin then turns his gun on Pat as the latter lunges at the turncoat priest, wrestling to the death in the ninth and final episode of Part III, the Sixth Chapter The Shadowing: Legacy of the Martyred
Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, cites David's 77th Psalm in referring to the popes who have tempted God by refusing Our Lady's request at Fatima to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. He shows how the interpretation of the Third Secret makes no sense when realizing the Blessed Mother wanted all of this revealed by 1960. He asks why would modern Rome insult our intelligence by foisting a reference to John Paul II as the bishop who was shot. Since his being shot on May 13, 1981 didn't alter or change one thing in respect to Our Lady's wish and even in the pabulum revealed in the so-called "Third Secret" released by Joseph Ratzinger in 2000, Father points out that one must wonder if ecumenism has not replaced conversion and Heaven's wishes be damned. As usual we are grateful to Maria Hughes for sending Father's latest essay titled Tempting God
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica, on the heels of his two series on Tolerance and Diversity, continues his postscript on his series on the Dragons from late last year. There he identified the various vices of the three-headed dragons. But, as he pointed out Saturday, there is a fourth dragon, a four-headed beast that invades homes, schools and churches through television, radio, print and the internet. This dragon has mesmerized and mashed minds into believing anything. The media have become the hierarchy of the modern church, especially in America where the tabernacle of satan, otherwise known as the television, serves as the altar of convenience, ease, and justification of sin in too many homes. The manipulators of mammon have done a thorough job of devastating the vineyard, scorching souls everywhere. Gabriel shows how the clueless ones are even more clueless about what is happening to them. They're slowly being boiled in a hellish heresy because the spineless shepherds have abandoned the gates and allowed the dragons to have free reign. Satan couldn't be happier as Gabriel explains in The Fourth Dragon's Devastation in his second installment of Evil Leading The Blind Part Two

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode, two of the Legion's henchmen overconfidently celebrate the Master's destruction of the Resistance. In Texas Corrie expects the worst after a call from Vic as the Legion plots further terror in Rome. Though Corrie and Vic, and few others realize it, this time the theater targeted for destruction is the Vatican. In the midst of a winter storm coming off the plains of Texas, Vic confides in Corrie's trust and Pat's possible fate all recorded on the Reflector Imager. Is he still alive or was the Ristorante Romano his last hurrah. Some questions are answered in the eighth episode of the Sixth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: Fire and Ice
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fourth Sunday After Easter, he reminds all that no one should say 'we didn't see it coming,' for our Blessed Mother tried to warn us at Rue du Bac, La Salette, Lourdes and Fatima. God has warned us in Holy Writ, and Popes have warned us including Leo XIII's bold and vital Prayer to St. Michael that the See of Peter would be usurped. Whatever the media may spin, the fact is we are in a deadly spiritual war and we must rebel against the usurpers who have dared to place man where God always resided - front and center in the holy tabernacle. As the euphoria of a new pope wears off, Catholics are advised by Father to read what Benedict XVI wrote and believed well before he was chosen to succeed John Paul II the Great Humanist. That should give those expecting Benedict XVI to change things a wake-up call that it's more smoke and mirrors and that the conciliar church has nothing whatsoever to do with the True Church for it has followed the Revolution and veered from the only One Who has the right to rule over all nations, all souls - Christ the King. As long as that reign is ignored, those subscribing to the revolution are destined to fail. We have Christ's promise on that to spur us onward to victory. Father explains in his sermon The Spiritual Warfare

But the Chianti causes these four to drop their guard momentarily. It is enough for the Basilisk to take advantage and Pat is the target for he knows. He saw the eyes. There is a Judas in their midst. Now it is a battle to the death in the seventh episode of the Sixth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: Last Supper with the Serpent

There he identified the various vices of the three-headed dragons. But there is a fourth dragon, a four-headed beast that invades homes, schools and churches through television, radio, print and the internet. This dragon has mesmerized and mashed minds into believing anything and Gabriel lays the blame where it belongs: at the foot of the Catholic hierarchy who have abandoned their posts as guardians, turning the other three dragons even deadlier and swifter by the powers of the fourth dragon who slithers in hissing heresy without anyone to stand up against the fiery fallacies scorching souls and turning the sheep without caring, vigilant shepherds into nothing but gullible goats, blindly being led by evil to the same bridge of perdition he referred to in his last series on Diversity; the one that leads to the bottomless abyss. He explains in The Fourth Dragon is the Fifth Estate in his first installment of Evil Leading The Blind Part One

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica completes his short series on Diversity, the other bookend to Tolerance of which he wrote immediately prior to this. Today he files part two in which he shows clearly that the antithesis of what God intended for diversity is what paves the bridge to perdition. Anyone daring to tread that road is destined to fall into the great abyss because God cannot and will not ever reward evil and make something good out of an inherent evil, especially that which is bent on continuing and justifying that very evil. Such can never come from the Almighty, but rather His great adversary who prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he might devour as our first Pope warns in 1 Peter 5: 8. Gabriel explains in his second installment on The Bridge to Perdition: Demonic Hypocrisy vs. Truth in The Scourge of Moral Diversity Part Two

Having just tightened and updated this novel in 2005, readers can catch up on what the daily installments they might have missed by going to the Installment Index. In today's episode a new day dawns as tensions begins to build both in fitfull sleep and in the fears of what the Legion is planning. Swiss Guard Riage Benziger tends to the comatose Pope Clement XV, trying to keep the latter alive while gaining enough strength himself to go get help. Across town in Dr. Makuta Ogidi's second-floor flat, Pat awakes from his hellish nightmare of the Basilisk and relates it to Niki as the reader gains greater insight into Pat's character. Back at the Vatican, Stephen experiences hell itself in a haunting, horrific vision inside the Holy See near the sacred Sistine Chapel in the fifth episode of the Sixth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: Ghosts of Gehenna
White Smoke, Black Fire!
Because of the crisis now in place and because events are paralleling so much of what is contained in our novel White Smoke, Black Fire and because it deals with the death of a pope and the ensuing conclave, we have decided it is time to rerun the novel in its entirety for it is written for and playing out in these very times. For those who want to read the entire novel as it was released in 2001, you may go to Episodes to read the entire book. For those who want to take it in daily doses and concentrate on the similarities with actual events happening right now, we have tightened and updated it in 2005, providing daily installments, indexed at Installment Index. In today's episode Pat wakes with a concussion and badly bruised ribs, finding himself in strange environs, but with a familiar face for Fr. Niki Andriopoulos and Dr. Makuta Ogidi who had rescued him at the Via Magdalena from certain death. Despite his wooziness, he is conscious enough to share information and the reader learns more of the Basilisk and Ogidi's role in the first episode of the Sixth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: Down, but not out!
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica dovetails his series on Tolerance with the other bookend - Diversity - of which he begins his series on The Scourge of Moral Diversity. Today he converses on how God, in His infinite goodness and greatness has created the proper moral order, ordaining perfect diversity in order for man to function in fulfilling his mission for his Creator. As God is the Head of His Church, we are His members. If we were all right hands, or left feet, that body would be truly handicapped where it would not be functional. Diversity is a good thing in God's order, but it is satan who has jumbled the members to freak out the Heavens with the outrageousness that denies God's purpose, turning good into evil and blaming the good for the evil. He explains in his first installment The Scourge of Moral Diversity Part One
Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, illustrates through the Gospels how Peter, the first Pope, thinking he was above sinning, became a grave sinner. Father points out the amazing sins he was guilty of in violating the Ten Commandments. It is a very important lesson for every Catholic to take into consideration for when we say 'they might sin, but I would never do that' beware for Peter said the same. He paid for his errors and paid for them dearly and with love. And love was returned as God always does. That is the beauty of penance on our part, for it is done out of love for God. Father writes, "all Simon’s tears did not exempt him from this humbling chastisement, though it must be owned, our Savior administers it in as loving a way as is conceivable." That is the beauty of God and His ways for here was one who betrayed Him, and still after Christ still chose Simon Peter to feed His sheep, as John documents. Christ could have turned His back on Peter, but God's love is not that way. Rather it is we who turn our back on God and when we do, we must realize that like Peter, there is a chastisement that is owed. In love we must accept whatever God selects as our penance to atone for our offenses because, unlike the Protestant concept that good works are not needed, the contrary is true for not by faith alone is one saved but by faith and good works. Peter is proof of that as are the Sacraments whereby we gain Sanctifying Grace, specifically the Sacrament of Penance. As usual we are grateful to Maria Hughes for sending Father's latest essay titled Peter's Penance

In today's episode it is a bitterly chilling evening in Rome as Riage Benziger makes plans to notify someone he can trust after making sure Pope Clement XV is as comfortable as possible considering the spartan circumstances in a secret room within Castel San't Angelo. Meanwhile, Pat, troubled by haunting nightmares while trying to get some sleep during the afternoon at the Esperia, awakes to the reality of a worse nightmare; one fated for this evening. Pat arrives just a minute or too late, but it is much too late to save Fasif's daughter Karel. Pat realizes too late that he has walked into the Legion's lair in the fourth episode of the Fifth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: The Deadly Game of Cloak and Dagger
Books you can count on!
Gary Morella provides a review of Dr. Thomas E. Woods work THE CHURCH CONFRONTS MODERNITY - Catholic Intellectuals & the Progressive Era released last July. Gary is a master for fleshing out the message and he has excerpted magnificent passages from Dr. Woods' book which tell the story that, especially now as the faithful pray and await with longing the essence of a good and holy Pope, we must return to Pope St. Pius X's call Instaurare omnia in Christo - "to restore all things in Christ." Gary reveals how Dr. Woods documents that secularism and progressivism have exhausted all avenues and most Catholics, especially faithful ones who seek guidance for themselves and especially their offspring, long to return to the treasured tenets that sustained Holy Mother Church and were so centered on the Gospels at the turn of the century during Pius X's reign. Many of the good things, such as the Jesuit journal America, while founded on right, have fallen on hard ground and scattered to the winds of heresy. Dr. Woods syllogizes the sense and sensibilities of Church Doctors, Popes, and the Scriptures in recognizing the futility of continuing on the progressivist path. Gary masterfully sums up the essence of Dr. Woods' book by citing the certain decrees of Pius X against Modernism. May Modernism die a quick death is our prayer as we invite you to read Gary's A Review of The Church Confronts Modernity
REALITY CHECK
Father Lawrence Smith provided a reality check as a postscript to Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's excellent column we posted yesterday. Because it is so poignant and tremendous food for thought, we've decided to publish it separate from Tom's piece to give it the proper emphasis. In the simplest of ways, Fr. Smith has once again succeeded in zinging the heart and mind to wake up to reality with his pertinent points that magnify the very problem we face today because most have remained silent while the destruction has continued unabated over the time continuum of the past papacy and Catholic Truth has been locked away. If we wait too much longer to express that truth, it may be too late, or, to put it more succinctly: speak now or forever hold your peace. Father Smith hits home with his short, sobering piece Wait to speak the truth

Today the reader is back in Rome, 48 hours after the devastating destruction in Iraq, where the day begins under a gray, foreboding cumulus blanketing the eternal city. The coffins are arranged in St. Peter's in preparation for the funeral as Fr. Niki goes undercover in Rome while Pat rendezvous with Karel in St. Peter's Square, trying to find a way to gently break the bad news of Fasif and Elias to her. Their initial meeting marks the beginning of a cloak and dagger tour throughout the rest of the morning in Rome, where, high above in the hills outside the city, Macelli receives a vile vial from Elena Grabe. Meanwhile back in Rome, Niki's former classmate Lorenzo Stravianzzi has analyzed the small piece of plastic which Niki has asked his scientific friend to identify. The results reveal the contents Andriopoulos subconsciously feared. He realizes all too clearly the shocking intent of the plastic strips in the second episode of the Fifth Chapter of Part III The Shadowing: Transparent Caissons
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica concludes his four part essay on tolerance with the Catholic solution to taming tolerance. He points out that intolerance, which is not about people, but ideas, is nothing new for it has been around for ages, and, in fact in the face of intolerance the Christian Faith flourished. If we are to follow in Christ's footsteps, we must overcome tolerance by expressing love for the sinner but a continued disdain, yeah hate for the sin and not be afraid to express that. One of the problems, as Gabriel cites, is that so few today not only don't know their faith but cannot express it clearly to others and thus evangelization is fruitless in that effort for true Catholicism is not expressed, but rather a hybrid compromising Protestant mish-mosh thanks to the watered down tenets of Vatican II that make Protestantism seem logical compared to the fabricated Catholicism of today. Gabriel calls for Catholics to stand up and be counted, but to know their Faith. If they do, despite the obstacles, they will be victorious. He explains in his final installment The Desecration of Tolerance - True Catholic Defiance
For those who want to take it in daily doses and concentrate on the similarities with actual events happening right now, we have tightened and updated it in 2005, providing daily installments, indexed at Installment Index Today the scene turns to the city of Seven Hills where the major players are arriving. Pat has landed and settled in for a restless night while Niki's arrival is a bit rockier for he is discovered by Dr. Makuta Ogidi in the hold of the C-130 transport with the caskets. A mysterious phone call wakes Pat to the reality of the fate of Fasif, Elias and Helena as Fr. Stephen and Macelli wait for the caskets to be released. Once back at the Vatican Stephen overhears the troubling plot of Macelli and Vendhem while Niki finds bare shelter in a simple flat on the other side of Rome provided by Ogidi in the first episode of the Fifth Chapter as we enter Part III The Shadowing: All Roads Lead to Rome
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey requested his columns be widely circulated in as many Traditional Catholic publications as possible and other venues as well for the sooner all Catholics realize what is going on, the better they will understand the present crisis and why we are in such sad straits. In the first, published on his site last week he pinpointed the problems of the past papacy and cautioned those optimists to look closer at the last 26 years before rushing to heap so many plaudits and praise on a man "who presided arguably over the worst pontificate in history." Tom lays out the facts and entreats all to Pray for the Pope: The Last One and the Next One

We follow up his astute words with a most recent piece that nails the crux of the problem resulting from the past scandal on E-Bay where a host from a Novus Ordo Papal service was auctioned on the internet. He fleshes out what really happened, including details of the event and what happened as a result of the outpouring of protests. Yet none of this would have even been a problem had discipline been in place, you know that very Lex orandi, lex credendi discipline that hitherto 1958 was rarely ever a problem. Tom explains in his column Missing the Real Culprit Once Again

On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimarães breaks his silence as he weighs in with a summation of the inevitable outcome of the conclave which begins today. He warns not to place too much hope in what will come out of it. In fact, he sees a further corrosion of the Papacy with collegiality and also sees something few secular experts have targeted - a concerted anti-American effort within a power bloc of cardinals to turn the rest of the cardinals, world and conciliar church against America in every way. While Traditional Catholics see John Paul II's failed papacy for obvious reasons, the left sees a failed pontificate as well for Wojtyla didn't go far enough and in that they feel betrayed and are more determined not to elect someone they cannot manage. Atila points out that only in the United States is there a conservative current flowing as a sort of backlash against the radical ideas and philosophies that have engulfed so many nations. The U.S., despite her worldliness and western culture of convenience, still is the one barrier to the much sought after satanic one world order. It makes sense why some Cardinals have gone out of their way to castigate the U.S. for invading Iraq. It is the strategy of the progressivists as Atila identifies in his Bird's Eye View of the News with What is the Mission of the Next Pope?
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday After Easter, he illustrates the message of today's Mass in which we are merely "strangers and pilgrims" on a journey through this dark planet. If we stay on the straight and narrow and not veer, following the guiding light of Christ's truths, we will not be detoured by the world, we will not walk blindly in the darkness nor be deceived chiefly because Christ our Navigator cannot deceive or be deceived. Yet the world has followed a man whose symbolism and very title, identified by St. Malachy nearly a thousand years ago, as the "Eclipse of the Sun," is so ironic in the fact the world has praised John Paul II - the "pilgrim pope" to the hilt; so much so that a Zenit headline just released says "Even in death, a Media Superstar." The inordinate praise heaped upon him should be a wake-up call to every Catholic of the antithesis of such adulation. Father cites what our Lord said about all of this. Father doesn't necessarily see the eclipse going away anytime soon for, in following the modus operandi of the anti-Catholic operatives within, what may very well come out of the conclave in modern Rome does not portend well towards producing a holy true Pope. Yet, as Father points out, even when things are the darkest - even a near total eclipse - we can take great solace in Christ's promise in today's Gospel that "your heart shall rejoice: and your joy no man shall take from you." Father explains in his sermon De Labore Solis

Fr. Niki Andriopoulos tries to save them, but he is too late. In chagrin he can do nothing but flee for his life while in Dallas Ben O'Fallon tries to assuage Corrie that Pat's okay. Meanwhile back in southern Iraq, racing for his life, Niki stays one step ahead of the Legion in a break-neck chase leading him to eventually choose a vehicle of death to escape certain death. But where will it take him? That is the scenario as the action heats up in the Sixth and final installment of Part II The Smoldering: Escape from the Embers
Mea Culpa!
Through one very astute reader who provided proof, we have been corrected and offer apologies to Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger for taking him to task for what we had always considered was anathema to attribute divine qualities to the Blessed Mother of God. With so much heresy running rampant in modern Rome, perhaps we were too quick on the trigger regarding the title "Divine Mother." We have discovered that such a title is a most reverent and, evidently acceptable endearment for Our Lady and has been used by saints and past reliable Pontiffs, most notably such renowned men as St. John Eudes, St. Alphonsus Liguori in The Glories of Mary, and by respected Sovereign Pontiffs Pope Leo XIII in Fidentem Piumque Animum, Pope St. Pius X in his E Supremi and His Holiness Pope Pius XII in Fulgens Corona on September 8, 1953. Though we are not softening in any way towards the other errors by the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in this case the editor offers personal sincere apologies to him and to our readers for the grave error. In light of this we have totally pulled the piece from last Saturday and any reference to it and stand corrected. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa

Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica continues his four part essay on tolerance with his third installment in which he shows the total illogic of the arguments made by those promoting the world's definition of tolerance. Gabriel deftly illustrates how the moral pretzel can be twisted anyway they want, but he points out how twisted the logic to think one can be intolerant of the intolerant or tolerant of the intolerant for in so doing they themselves have betrayed their own stance. That's how far-fetched and insane these fools have become as Gabriel explains in his third of four parts on The Desecration of Tolerance - Illogical Myth

Today Riage Benziger tends to a dehydrated Pope as Cardinal Macelli bluntly eliminates a long Holy See tradition. Meanwhile there is more subterfuge from Dallas to Rome by overconfident, insolent principal members of the Legion of the Basilisk as Pat arrives in Rome with the Basilisk growing more powerful, its stench ever more present in the Eternal City and in Tel Aviv where the venomous Basilisk strikes at the heart in Part II, Fourth Chapter, Episode Five of The Smoldering: Haunted and Hunted
Catholic PewPOINT
Today is Tax Day. The deadline to file. Editor Michael Cain comments about deadlines and about the fact that there's been a lot of buzz about what is needed to bring about a holy pope dedicated to restoring order to Christ's Church. The problem is that most are looking in the wrong direction. They are looking to modern Rome's appointed cardinals, but, in truth, these men have no authority as forever decreed by Pope Paul IV. Cain lays this out in the simplest and clearest of ways and points to the only solution left to man, short of prayer and fasting which he also strongly endorses, in a plea to every Traditional Bishop to bury the hatchet and unite so that the only true successors of the Apostles left can legitimately select a true Successor of Peter to lead the faithful out of the desert and towards the "Promised Land" by rebuilding Christ's Church. It is the one hope to unify His Mystical Body as Cain points out in his editorial We implore the Traditional Bishops to Come Together as One!

More confidentialities are revealed that help the reader understand the depth and breadth and what lies ahead as Pat is given is marching orders in the fourth episode of Book Two The Smoldering with Revelations of Basic Basilisk 101
THE STRAIGHT STUFF
Griff Ruby is well-known for taking on tough subjects and not shying away from controversy. Today he may stir up emotions and traditional factions, but it is necessary to awake the valiant remnant from their slumber and self-righteousness. While Traditional Catholics cast a wary eye to the proceedings in Rome during this time when the whole world is focused on the Vatican, considering the mass apostasy of the Novus Ordinarian leaders, skepticism is warranted during this time of true sedevacantism. Yet no traditional Catholic should gloat or sit back and relax because there is a benign cancer within the traditional movement that needs to be treated with the radiation of faith, hope and charity to make sure it does not grow into a malignant tumor through the malicious rumors running rampant among the factions. The Mystical Body needs to be united, not divided. Doctors of the soul are needed and almost every Traditional Priest has the qualifications, but too many patients are calling the shots and that creates canonical pessimism which becomes havoc and anarchy. Griff tries to inject a note of positivism where so little seems to exist because of the friction created by mistrust and pride. He identifies the problems in calling for a unified understanding that will exemplify Christian charity, not chaos. He explains in Canonical Pessimism

The pawns have been captured, the bishops and rooks have fallen, only a few knights remain to defend the White Queen and King from the onslaught of the Regals of the Dark Regions in the third episode of Book Two The Smoldering as the reader is drawn in to The Universal Chess Game
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica continues his four part essay on tolerance with his second installment how it gained such a devastating foothold in society today. In his first installment, he traces the origins of the meaning and what Christ intended it to always be. It meant respect for others but not for erroneous or sinful views that go against God. This is what happened when respect and humility were cast to the winds. The original meaning of the word, meant to spread the love of Christ, has been twisted to cater to the canard that tolerance is a gateway to do anything one wants with no reprise or repercussions from man or God. Gabriel explains in his first part of The Desecration of Tolerance

It is Fasif's palatial villa where Niki has brought Pat to rest and refuel but the second episode of Book Two portends there are greater and more dangerous assignments ahead for Pat as The Smoldering hints in Fate, Fasif, and Faith
The Sanity of Sanctity
We bring you a piece we brought you last year on the Solemnity of St. Joseph by Fr. Lawrence Smith who shared reflections on the holy attributes of St. Joseph whose Octave Feast we celebrate today. The traits and human character exhibited by Jesus - known as 'the Carpenter's Son' - came from the tender, patient teaching of His foster father Joseph who, as the Patron of the Universal Church, is the one saint we can call on anytime for he is the Model of Christian Workers, Protector of Children, Patron of Priests and Seminarians, Protector of Virgins, Safeguard of Families and Patron of a Happy Death just to name a few of the grace-filled qualities we attribute to St. Joseph in seeking his intercession. Father points out how obedience was at the hub of harmony within the holy family and is necessary for happy families today. The crux of the problem is that work is no longer done as a labor of love but for ends that are not pleasing to God as Father explains in his reflection St. Joseph: Teach us always to labor for Jesus
Rock-Solid Reasons
Few encyclicals are as complete in the mission and duty of the Church than Pope Leo XIII's magnificent Satis Cognitum on Unity of the Church. It contains clear and concise explanation of the Church's, Bishops' and Pope's role in assuring salvation as Christ laid down for His Mystical Body. Every Catholic needs to read this vital encyclical, especially those who have been satiated with all the ambiguous, double-speak and humanistic baffle-gab and skimble-skamble that has come out of modern Rome over the past 40 years; they would do well to read Leo's solid and sure words that convey pure Catholicism in every sense and he pulls no punches, stating clearly and emphatically "The Church of Christ, therefore, is one and the same for ever; those who leave it depart from the will and command of Christ, the Lord - leaving the path of salvation they enter on that of perdition." There are countless jewels in this lengthy, but lasting encyclical which is must reading for every Catholic. Satis Cognitum
Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, presents a balanced plea to the emotions are in motion over the papal passion that is running amok in which unverified miracles are being attributed to John Paul II and the world clamors for his instant canonization and that he be given a place in history above reproach. Yet, as Fr. Wathen points out, this pope did not preach Catholicism, but "godless humanism" which may be what man wants, but not God to Whom we must be obedient as the first responsibility for eternal salvation. The fact John Paul II did not adhere to this raises many questions, and still, Father cautions not to condemn him automatically either. That is left for God's judgment, not man's and be wary as well of those who would go so far as to call him an anti-pope or Antichrist. There needs to be a balance rooted in prayer for the man's soul. Realizing Our Lord's words in Luke 12: 48, "And unto whomsoever much is given of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more" we must pray all the more for what John Paul II had to account for at his Particular Judgment. As usual we are grateful to Maria Hughes for sending Father's latest brief essay which we've entitled Papal Passions

There he literally bumps into another major character who will play a most pivotal role for the Resistance - Niki Andriopoulos. While Vic tries to stave off the intimidating threats of his publisher Edwin Blix in Dallas, and while Macelli and Vendhem struggle with the riddle of who took the bodies in the Papal Chambers, Pat is invited to a mysterious Oasis for food and rest. What does it portend? Those are questions posed in the first episode of The Smoldering titled, Assigned to the Ashes

Out of respect for the Novus Ordo establishment's time of mourning, we have refrained from commenting on John Paul II until today. But after being fed so much misinformation over the past week by the secular media who utilized every New Order periti they could find except experts on the True Faith, we've had enough. It's time to speak out before this unhealthy, inordinate love fest turns into a bonfire equivalent to hell, for that is the origin of all this worldly adulation. The news is consumed with the comings, but mostly the goings of those who fit the descriptions. But what does it all mean? In this time when men lament a man who the world blessed, where do they turn? The answer is simple: To another greater, much, much greater than he. Editor Michael Cain points this out in his editorial in which the events and participants from this past week have been ghastly misunderstood and misrepresented. With yesterday being Good Shepherd Sunday, we look to the Pastor Bonum as a balance to all the spin that has made truth-seekers dizzy and disposable. Cain provides the analogies in explaining the nuances of Prince, Pauper and Pope

But the master doesn't even trust his own and has employed an old wino Sebastiano Tenazi in the eighth episode of The Unleashing titled, Pride and Power: The Opiates of the Legion
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Good Shepherd Sunday or the Second Sunday After Easter, he assures all that the death of John Paul II should have no effect on true Catholics who see a pope as the visible head, but Christ always as the Invisible Head. Christ has promised He would always be with His Church "unto the consummation of the world" and since He neither deceives nor can be deceived, to worry about the worldly things exposes us as uncommitted sheep. It means we do not trust our Shepherd - the Son of God. He remanded His apostles several times about this. As loyal lambs we have nothing to fear if we stay under the watchful eye of the Good Shepherd and remain faithful to the Truths and Traditions of the Church He founded. Father points out that one cannot be His disciple if one is not willing to carry his cross daily and be a sign of contradiction to the world. When the world praises you, that is not good for if we seek the world's favor then our reward comes from man, but if we seek God's favor by doing His will and hearing His voice, our reward will be great in Heaven for we are The Sheep of His Flock

But a conscious Riage Benziger foils their plans aided unwittingly by Sister Bridie in this first episode of Chapter Two of The Unleashing titled, Cosmetics and Consciousness
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica asks a question every traditional Catholic is asking during this time of universal sedevacantism. What next? Quo vadis, Petrus? Where will the Primacy of Peter lead? It does not bode well for there are indeed dark clouds on the horizon, especially if we are to go by the popular, emotional spin spread this past week by the secular and New Order media that we must accommodate the world and change Catholicism to placate those who are not willing to walk the narrow path. Sodomites, pro-aborts, feminists will not give up their sins, so the Church must tolerate them and accept their sins. Nowhere in holy Scripture nor in the Sacred Deposit of the Faith is the word tolerance preached, let alone diversity. Jesus clearly forgave, but always He admonished, "Go, and sin no more!" It goes without saying that we must love the sinner, but hate the sin and do all in our power to root out sin in our own lives and others. That is true Catholicism, uncompromising Catholicism, something sorely lacking over the past 40 years. Amidst all the euphoria and opinions so prevalent this past week, Catholicism has been reduced to a political party whose platform can be changed to suit the people! Oh, how wrong they are! How wrong so many have been! But those who fight for right must remember St. Augustine's sage words, "right is right even if no one is doing it...and wrong is wrong even if every one is doing it!" Gabriel explains in his column What Next?

Pat Gallagher talks his editor Vic Van Wess into sending him instead of another over to Iraq on the publisher's private plane, while in Rome the reader is introduced to two very high-up cardinals who are not what they seem, and two key characters within the Vatican for the Resistance who suspect Macelli of no good: the astute American monsignor heading the Holy See's Universal Communications department Monsignor Stephen Navarro and the spunky, dedicated Irish nun Sister Bridget Marie - known to all as Sister Bridie, one of the nuns responsible for the Papal Chambers. Both will unwittingly become embroiled in the intrigue to come within the hallowed halls of the Vatican in this sixth episode of Chapter One of The Unleashing titled, The Cabal and the Camerlengo
Christ or chaos
Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey weighs in on all the claptrap and spin being bandied about this past week by know-nothings posing as experts. He has one very simple solution on how to avoid getting caught up in the emotional tsunami that forsakes all reason and facts: turn off the TV, close up the chat-rooms and be careful about prurient publicity that offends the ears, hearts and sensibilities of the Holy Family, let alone our own families. If one is mesmerized by the cobra long enough, one can easily be fooled into trusting the viper. Then it's too late once it strikes. Stay clear of the reptile's range by having custody of eyes, ears and mind and one will gain a greater perspective and understanding of what exactly is happening in this pivotal time of history and salvation. Tom explains in his column Ignore the Mindless Blather
Requiem Mass
With all the beautiful Latin employed for John Paul II's funeral, the saddest commentary is that what could have been has been wasted. What could have been a salvific Requiem Mass on the Day of Burial in all the magnificent Catholic Tradition and intercessory power from Heaven, was compromised by the sacrilegious New Order broadcast to the world sans sacrifice and replete with the automatic assumption that John Paul II needs no prayers for his soul since he is already in Heaven. Those who assume can not only make an ass out of u and me, but greatly insult Almighty God. If saints were not sure of their eternal salvation, than surely sinners should be and, yes, Karol Wojtyla, just like everyone of us, was a sinner and needs our prayers - Needs Requiem Masses. He will not get them from the Novus Ordo establishment he enabled and encouraged, and his last testament is testimony that he had no intention of refuting or condemning the heresies of Vatican 2. With this sad reality we present the Traditional Latin Mass Proper for the Holy Mass of the Dead - REQUIEM MASS
Rock-Solid Reasons
The reason we provide the authorized Requiem Mass above is because that is the one which His Holiness Saint Pius V, in codifying the infallible decrees of the dogmatic Council of Trent, set in stone for all time the only formula for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. To veer from this has, by his very specific warning, incurred "the wrath of Almighty God and the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul." This is only too evident and, despite the trappings and outward exhibition in Rome this week, the sad, stark truth is that modern Rome has indeed, as Our Lady foretold at La Salette, "lost the Faith." True Catholics cannot be swayed by the puffery and adulation rhetoric flowing forth so freely from the fickle crowds which are reminiscent of those waving palms and singing Hosannas and a few days later crying out vociferously for His blood. Pray for the soul of Karol Wojtyla and realize the truths of Holy Mother Church cannot evolve or change and what St. Pius V declared must be said "in perpetuity" means "in perpetuity" and no bishop can ever trump that! We present both the powerful QUO PRIMUM and His Apostolic Constitution on Form and Matter of the Sacrament in his masterful De defectibus

We can't help but pray that nothing happens in Rome for what we have written of the world's religious leaders and civic leaders and bulging crowds is playing out right before our very eyes. Let us hope and pray we will never see the destruction that occurs in this fifth episode of Chapter One of The Unleashing titled, Armageddon Arrives!
Living in Tradition
Those who remember Father Louis Campbell's stunning sermon from February 27 in which he reminded us of the chicanery of the modernists who have done all they could to expunge Pope Pius XII's Apostolic Constitution Sacramentum Ordinis to cover their tracks. Father Louis pointed out that it was not available anywhere on the web and we vowed to do all in our power to procure this Acta Apostolicae Sedis from November 30, 1947 so that all would know the fullness of truth spoken of by Father in his no-nonsense sermon. Thanks to a very dedicated Traditional priest, we have found that very AAS-40-5 from the Third Volume of the Canon Law Digest, 1954 on the Essential Rites of Ordination for the Deaconate, Priesthood, and Episcopacy by His Holiness. We all know that Paul VI and the VaticanTwoArians contradicted this order and have incurred God's wrath and punishments. These men who have accepted modernism from the 60's on may look like bishops, they may sound like bishops (even though they don't ACT like bishops), but they are NOT bishops for, as His Holiness Pius writes, their consecrations are not valid. Think about this as talk heats up for the Conclave to begin in 11 days and realize most of those entering the Sistine Chapel are not even true cardinals, let alone priests or bishops. Sacramentum Ordinis
Rock-Solid Reasons
Following the above syllogism, we take it further by providing the decree of Pope Paul IV (not to be confused with Paul VI of V2 repute) who issued his no-holds-barred Apostolic Constitution some 450 years ago during the time of the dogmatic, infallible Council of Trent on those who deviate from the faith before they are elevated lose all authority and respect in the Church and are ipso facto no longer Catholic and, therefore not eligible to hold any office in the Church. His and Pius XII's Apostolic Constitution serve as bookends to rock-solid documentation that the whole current crop of cardinals are in apostasy if we are to be faithful to the Church from Peter through Pius XII. If we are not, if we are to be faithful to the Vatican II popes from John XXIII through John Paul II, then we have to admit that it is totally different than what was taught and handed down for nearly 2000 years. Ergo, we have to admit it is a parallel religion, a different faith than the True Faith. Now readers have that difficult task to choose. It isn't easy with everyone proclaiming JPII a saint and the "Great" but for the sake of your own soul, it is vital to know which is the True Faith - that which preceded Vatican 2 or that which has followed Vatican 2. We assure you they are not the same. Now you must choose. We offer strong evidence from Holy Mother Church to help you, beginning with Paul IV's unshakeable Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio
White Smoke, Black Fire!
Because of the crisis now in place and because events are paralleling so much of what is contained in our novel White Smoke, Black Fire and because it deals with the death of a pope and the ensuing conclave, we have decided it is time to rerun the novel in its entirety. For those who want to read the entire novel as it was released in 2001, you may go to Episodes to read the entire book. For those who want to take it in daily doses and concentrate on the similarities with actual events happening right now, we provide these daily installments. Today episode four finds everyone glued to the tube who is not in New Nasiriyah for the international ecumenical event of the century - 'One Eucharist'. GNN (Global News Network) is feeding all the networks with the massive production of bringing the colorful festivities live to the English-speaking world. As they drone on, operatives move into place for nefarious reasons and Elena Grabe holds the key to the trigger in this fourth episode of Chapter One of The Unleashing titled, The Fruits of Ecumenism: Bewitched and Betrayed
Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica exposes the hypocrisy of the courts - even the highest court of the land - in caving to the false premise of an "evolving standard" for if a standard is set, it cannot evolve. God's laws and principles cannot "evolve" but are set in stone and nothing can change that. It is imbedded in the dogmas of Holy Mother Church. But that matters not to judiciary or ecclesiast who subscribe to progressivism. Gabriel points out the parallels and paradox of abortion and euthanasia. Both are murder and they cross that line between pardon and perdition. The latter is the end result for those who are called "honorable" but by their deeds reveal what they really are. How can there be "decency and maturity" when those determining such on the law books are void of those attributes? Gabriel addresses this conundrum in his column Evolving Standards of Perdition
On the BattleLine

Atila Sinke Guimarães recently weighed in on the confidential messages imparted to the young visionaries of Lourdes, La Salette and Fatima. All portended a great apostasy that would begin at the top and many chastisements. In light of the killer tsunami, earthquakes and weather patterns globally, in addition to events this past week from the legal murder of an innocent, helpless woman to the passing of a pontiff there are signs that God means business and rejection of His moral laws and teachings, despite His Blessed Mother's urgent warnings, have a furious Father ready to avenge adversaries of the Church His Divine Son founded - a Church reduced to a remnant. While many would not realize this with the circus atmosphere this week in which everyone praises John Paul II, few remember Our Lady's stern and sober message at La Salette a mere 150 years ago that "Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist." The supposed "Third Secret of Fatima" version released by the modern Vatican institution in 2000 certainly does not correspond with current events or the completion of what Our Lady begged her Divine Son's Church to do. While everyone is praising JPII posthumously for the collapse of communism, the sad truth is it hasn't collapsed but only spread more insidiously all over the world under different monikers - specifically the heresy of all heresies - modernism of which the late Polish prelate permitted and perpetuated. Now God has allowed these natural disasters primarily because the Church has taken up with the world. It is a punishment for our sins just as He did with the Israelites in the Old Covenant for veering far from Him and His teachings. Will we ever learn from history or scripture? Evidently not as Atila offers stark evidence and fascinating graphics of what is to come in his Bird's Eye View of the News Scientific Data on Coming Earthquakes and Tsunamis. Is this the Chastisement?

Because of the crisis now in place and because events are paralleling so much of what is contained in our novel White Smoke, Black Fire and because it deals with the death of a pope and the ensuing conclave, we have decided it is time to rerun the novel in its entirety. Today episode three leaves the dawning daylight in Iraq for the night climes of Big D where the reader is introduced to the key character of the novel - Metroplex Mirror journalist Pat Gallagher - and his heart-throb Corrie Morelli, along with one who has taken their moral welfare under his wing - one Ben O'Fallon, owner of an old tavern on the outskirts of the Dallas skyline. It is late in the evening of All Hallows Eve. The ghosts are restless and many shudder as they sense within a seismic event about to erupt. Tensions begin to build in this third episode of Chapter One of The Unleashing titled, Halloween Hauntings
The Sanity of Sanctity
As talk of who is papabile heats up before the conclave begins, they would be wise to take to heart the words of the holy bishop and Doctor of the Church Saint Alphonsus Liguori, known as the "Keeper of the Moral Compass." 230 years ago he wrote a letter to an unknown bishop during the time of sede vacante between the pontificates of Clement XIV and Pius VI. St. Alphonsus also wrote: "The devil has always attempted, by means of the heretics, to deprive the world of the Mass, making them precursors of the Antichrist, who, before anything else, will try to abolish and will actually abolish the Holy Sacrament of the altar, as a punishment for the sins of men, according to the prediction of Daniel 'And strength was given him against the continual sacrificer'." He was right on about that as we now see what occurred on April 3, 1969, and his sage and sobering words below should give all pause to pray and unabashedly continue to preach the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. The holy Doctor's sage and pious thoughts on the election of a new Pontiff is wise advice that should be heeded today, but most probably won't because, as St. Alphonsus says "in a word, there is a need for a general reform of all clerics and ecclesiastics if there is to be any improvement in the present great corruption of morals among the laity." And he was talking about the times when our country was founded! Imagine his words today in light of the apostasy running so rampant from Rome on down! John Vennari adds, to quote Saint Alphonsus, “There is need for prayer and much prayer”. We present The "Keeper of the Moral Compass" on the Election of the Next Pope
FOCUS
With John Paul II's body lying in state in St. Peter's Vatican reports are that two million are expected to view his body before his funeral at 8 a.m. Rome time. In the meantime, in day 3 of the Novendiales, Robert Moynihan, editor of Inside The Vatican sat down with Cardinal Joaquim Meisner. Keep in mind he is the same red-hat who we reported had, early in January, lacked the conviction of Catholic truth and backpeddled by apologizing for comparing abortion to the Holocaust. He also didn't realize the scandal of recanting truth. Evidently that wasn't important to Meisner, just making sure he was accepted as a tolerant Novus Ordophile. Here there was hope with his assimilating abortion to the horrors of Hitler and Stalin. But that offended man; never mind God. Evidently the Germans didn't like such comparison even though it is the unmitigated truth. Do they really want another Fuhrer? Why would Germans be upset at comparing Stalin to the horrors of abortion? It doesn't make sense and yet it does in this topsy-turvy world where cardinals haven't a backbone nor moral sense to uphold Catholic truth and be a "contradiction to the world." Ah, there's the rub for they have embraced - thanks to the aggiornamento of ecumenism and modernism - mammon. Has anyone alerted the cardinal of Cologne that what he denied has a fragrance that rises putrified to Heaven? Evidently not. Meisner regrets his holocaust remarks. We regret he was ever elevated to the episcopate, let alone the red-hat, but then we have come to expect lukewarmness and uncatholicity from the German prelates. Can you say Cardinals Walter Kasper, Karl Lehmann, and, yes, Joseph Ratzinger? Why is it that the only time these men employ Gestapo tactics is against Traditional Catholics? Good question, and don't bother to file an offense complaint for that remark because it's the truth, it's documented and we stand by it. We will not regret stating the horrors of the Holocaust in the Womb. What we will regret - and every Catholic must realize this as well - is if we don't sound the clarion for the innocent the consequences will be dire at each person's Particular Judgment for we all have a far, far superior Authority to answer to. Now Meisner is one who will vote in conclave. With that calibre there's not a lot of hope for the Holy Ghost to work within. Nevertheless, Meisner is one who agreed to sit down with Robert Moynihan of Inside The Vatican Magazine. We present it here because at least Moynihan is credible compared to the secular media. What Are Some Cardinals Thinking About?
Hope on the Horizon
Barbara Simpson puts the exclamation mark on the injustice done to Theresa Marie Kathleen Schindler-Schiavo even after her death. From the church to the courts, the blood-stained hands cannot be washed for the sin lies with them for their omission. It is good that she brings this to the fore since so many have forgotten that one can sin just as well by omission rather than only commission. You won't hear that from your Novus Ordo bishops, but it comes rather from one sane voice in the middle of Sodom by the Bay - the "Babe in the Bunker" literally. Barbara illustrates the cold-heartedness of the judges who cruelly let Terri's parents swing on the limbs of hope in a justice system based on liberty. So much for bringing the tired and the poor, those in any way handicapped need not apply. She explains in her column from World Net Daily, The dress of liberty is stained with Terri's blood

Because of the crisis now in place and because events are paralleling so much of what is contained in our novel White Smoke, Black Fire and because it deals with the death of a pope and the ensuing conclave, we have decided it is time to rerun the novel in its entirety. Today episode two takes us to New Nasiriyah in Iraq, the very place of the ancient Ur and birthplace of Abraham as well as the approximate location of the very first Garden of Eden. There is no evidence of any living fauna in this second episode of Chapter One of The Unleashing as dust and dirt cover the horizon in all directions from a synthetic, quickly-fashioned modern and massive circular stage arena to accommodate over one million people in attendance for the Magna Carta of the 21st Century - "One Eucharist" - the great compromise. Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, presents plenty of ammunition on why Catholics cannot consider cremation as an alternative. In light of the publicity over Michael Schiavo's insistance that Terri's body be cremated despite objections from her parents to have a Catholic burial,Father provides the proofs of Catholic truth that verifies the article of the Apostles' Creed of belief in the Resurrection of the body. Father equates the fact that cremation is the final mutilation by anti-Christian forces bent on answering to satan. It is the only thing left after piercing, drug abuse and every other abomination of the human body has not only multiplied, but has been accepted by society, as mutilation of the temples of the Holy Ghost. It is sadistic and sadomasochistic. It fits satan's agenda to a tee, but not Christ's. Father shares these solid Catholic truths in his essay that hammers home the necessity to be buried, never cremated for that is the antithesis of the Resurrection of the body. As usual we are grateful to Maria Hughes for sending his latest essay entitled The Resurrection and Cremation
Feed My Sheep
In the aftermath of all that has happened recently, we can see very clearly the writing on the wall. The transition of time and events have illustrated what it portends, especially now with the fate of well over a billion and more in the hands of the sorry lot of cardinals gathering in Rome. Apostasy rules and the portal widens for the Antichrist to manifest his agenda in what does not purport well for those of faith who seek harmony and happiness. It will not be so on this earth which will transform into a conflagration and conglomerate when the temblor of terror will torment souls all the more, shaking, sacking, and sorting out the few God-fearing humans from the nihilistic, ghostly, inhumane, and unworldly creatures who will have grown more gigantic and grotesque from feasting on humanism, ecumenism and modernism as can foreseee with The Transition

Because of the crisis now in place and because events are paralleling so much of what is contained in our novel White Smoke, Black Fire and because it deals with the death of a pope and the ensuing conclave, we have decided it is time to rerun the novel in its entirety. First published here beginning in 2001, many of the supposedly fictional events have become facts and thus, we have updated it, shortened some parts, phased back a few characters to make it faster paced for its re-release now in 2005 at this pivotal point in history. You'll note the pope in this novel Clement XV is not the successor of John Paul II, but the successor of who will be elected next. As art imitates life, here it is so clear that life is imitating art and following a pattern that has already been foretold in Holy Writ. So far civilization has followed the script, right to the brink of the abyss. Hopefully White Smoke, Black Fire will shake souls to realize how close we are to the Apocalypse. Today we present episode one of Chapter One of The Unleashing with the dark and sinister deeds of The Mysterious Black Figure Strikes
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for Low or Quasi modo Sunday, he may sound like a voice in the wilderness for this weekend pagan, Moslem, Jew, Protestant, agnostic, pro-abort, pro-euthanasia, pro-sodomite and new-ager alike - even atheists - can't praise John Paul II enough as every network drones on about how "this pope preached tolerance." While JPII may have, Christ did not. Father is not here to praise John Paul, but to pray for him and point out what a pope should be - one who separates the wheat from the chaff as Christ asked; never compromise. Being Catholic is a sign of contradiction to the world for there is another power, a much higher Power and another Kingdom which we must always be focused on. Ecumenism, as an example, will eventually emerge, after all the hurrahs and huzzahs die down, as part of the lost legacy of John Paul II. For all plaudits aside, the grave errors in doctrine made by this man have done immeasurable damage to souls. The saddest part is that few have a clue about this, or what Holy Scriptures say, especially in today's Epistle and Gospel. The sad facts, that will eventually come to the fore when more realize the fruits are a facade and there are no lasting fruits, that rather than being a sign of contradiction for Catholics, John Paul II was a contradiction to Catholicism as it was taught and practiced from Peter through Pope Pius XII. Father explains in his sermon Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Gabriel's Clarion
With death so prominent in everyone's minds because of the last few days, Gabriel Garnica reminds us of the wise investment souls must make in order to reap the Heavenly currency. That's the only kind you can take with you. All temporal treasures are worthless and Our Lord reminded us of that when He said what doth it profit a man if he gain the whole world but lose his soul. Gabriel offers the sad fact that if we do not deposit our talents and gifts in God's bank, then we are wasting our time and even worse, we are utilizing those God-given talents for His great adversary - the devil who goes about the world like a roaring lion seeking whom he might devour. Not a wise investment. Much better to build up a portfolio of graces in order to receive everlasting dividends as Gabriel explains in his column God's Stock Market
THE STRAIGHT STUFF
Griff Ruby tackles a tough, but necessary subject - hell and the question of who and why people end up there. Contrary to the popular mantra which satan has managed to implant in the psyches of so many today, hell does exist and it is filling fast. This was confirmed not only by Our Lord in Sacred Scripture, but by His Blessed Mother to the children of Fatima at the Cova in 1917. There are too many misconceptions about hell and the devil diverts us from what we must truly do to avoid the hellfires of gehenna. Saints and sinners have been given glimpses of hell from early saints to the Fatima and it has never been pretty. Hell is no place for good people, but there are "good people" in hell. The factor here is the variance of what we and God consider "good." Griff uses his column to identify the errors and confusion over whether good people can or can't go to hell. He explains in Can Good People Go to Hell?
"Father, forgive them..."
One week ago on Good Friday, Father Francis de Rosa delivered a powerful sermon on the similarities of Our Lord's Passion and Terri Schiavo to the Poor Clare Monastery in Arlington, Virginia. As all know, yesterday morning Terri completed her crucifixion and now can reap the glories of the Resurrection through the merits of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We provide his full homily here which Father personally sent us yesterday and granted us the gracious permission to republish it for our readers. May Terri's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. And may we ever strive to conquer the evils of the culture of death, holding the standard of Terri' martyrdom as a sign that in hoc signis the cross is victorious. Father provides the proof in his sermon The Passion and Death of Terri Schiavo
