Monthly Message for
May 25th
Outdoor altar behind St. James Church
Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call.

Mary as CoRedemptrix, Advocate, and Mediatrix of all gracesA rationalization of the Final Marian Dogma with Mark Miravalle's proposal to the Pope
Today and tomorrow we bring you two installments of our on-going megaseries on the Church today with the rationale for the Holy Father proclaiming the Final Marian Dogma of Mary as CoRedemptrix, Advocate, and Mediatrix of all graces. The author is Dr. Mark Miravalle, an esteemed professor of Theology and Mariology at the prestigious Franciscan University at Stuebenville. Coincidentally, Pope John Paul II, who has been in contact with Mark and is well aware of the call for this special Dogma, has personally invited him to Rome this week, fueling speculation that the Pope might be preparing to proclaim the Dogma. Then again, it could be to just take part in Lay Conference among 56 lay movements that began today at the Vatican. As we stated yesterday, it will happen when God deigns it and all we can do is pray. For the first part of Dr. Miravalle rationale, click on WHERE IS HOLY MOTHER CHURCH HEADING AS WE NEAR THE MILLENNIUM?

Is the Smoke blotting out the Son?
Yesterday we referred to the "Black Fire" of satan in our editorial and we follow that today with the "smoke" of satan that is slowly blocking out the Son. Like the horrendous forest fires in Mexico, the smoke wafts over the horizon and stifles the air, leaving souls murky and confused. Today we look back on history and see how we have not learned. Because of this were are fated to commit the same mistakes, especially in our country's education system, but this time it could be fatal if we do not right the ship and clamor for the Son to shine bright. For the first part of our two-part commentary, The Golden Rule has been replaced by the Godless rules click on today's CATHOLIC PewPOINT
Our Lady asks us to trust in the Holy Spirit and Prepare by fasting and praying so that the True Light will shine ever bright
Queen of Prophets     Those are the essence of the Blessed Mother's 153rd and 154th messages to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart which we bring you today in which Our Lady cautions us that heavy crosses will be ours, but by living the messages, listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and trusting totally in her Divine Son Jesus we will successfully traverse the land-mined course where satan sets traps for us at every turn. GIF images of Holy Father used with permission of EWTN Worldwide Conference for Lay Movements opens in Rome
Pope John Paul II addressed the opening day of nearly 150,000 lay men and women who are meeting this weekend through the coordination of Cardinal James Francis Stafford of the Pontifical Council for Laity. The Cardinal welcomed them as they listened to a taped message of the Pope who called for unity and working together to answer the call for evangelization. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger also addressed the large group, pleading for them not to departmentalize the Church with factions. For more, click on Lay Movement Conference

First U.S. Order of Tridentine Priests canonically approved to begin in Scranton Diocese
Sharing the same diocese as the German-founded Priestly Order of Saint Peter, a similar Order has been given canonical approval to operate in the same diocese. Both specialize in celebrating the Tridentine Latin Mass, practically a lost liturgy since Vatican II. The one difference is that the new Order - the Society of Saint John, composed of five young priests, is the first such Tridentine Order founded in the United States. They are also dedicated to revising classical education, serving as faculty members of St. Gregory Academy. For more, click on U.S. Order to promote Latin Mass.

Pope to be busy during Jubilee Year!
Even though there are 582 days until we reach the next millennium - the Jubilee year 2000, the Vatican is well ahead in planning, so much so that they have already released a tentative schedule that will possibly find the Holy Father traveling to the Holy Land for the first time ever. In addition several major ecumenical conferences and proposals are on the docket that will keep the Supreme Pontiff very, very busy and who will turn 80 on May 18, 2000. For more, click on Jubilee Year.

Human Rights Groups hail appointment of Guatamalan Bishop for Human Rights
Replacing Bishop Juan Gerardi Conedera, the slain Guatamalan Bishop for Human Rights, was the popular choice of Human Rights Groups in Bishop Mario Rios Montt who promises to be a strong advocate for human rights in the mold of his predecessor. Ironically, Bishop Montt's brother was drilled from the army for his abuses against human rights but that is not the fear with this bishop. The greatest fear is that he will stay safe from having the same fate befall him as did Bishop Gerardi. For more, click on Human Rights.

PRAYERS & DEVOTION
We continue with the worldwide Crusade for the Novena of Rosaries, begun on Ascension Thursday and culminating on Pentecost Sunday. The Rosaries are for strength, courage, good health and fortitude for the Holy Father to wisely guide Holy Mother Church through these turbulent times and to lead all to the safe pillars of the Holy Eucharist and devotion to Mary whom many anticipate will be honored through the dogmatic decree as officially CoRedemptrix, Advocate and Mediatrix of all graces. While many firmly believe this will occur in paving the way for the glorious Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, when is the question that only God knows.
