Firing up the troops in igniting the fuse of faith to persevere against the culture of death

     It's been one week since the elections in which pro-lifers apparently stayed away in droves from the ballot box and many pro-life candidates went down to defeat amid the lies and calumny cast on them by a well-financed pro-abort crusade that used all the treachery and tricks they could to derail God's Will. But that's not all, in the fallout that has occurred we raise an interesting and credible theory about the shootings of pro-abort doctors. Do you think pro-lifers want these doctors of death to get so much publicity and martyrdom for their cause? No way! Who stands to gain the most from these senseless killings? The pro-abort factions, of course. So who is to say this is not all a clever, insidious plot by the proponents of the culture of death to denigrate the pro-life cause and turn public opinion against those striving to uphold the sanctity of life in all its stages? It's time to fight fire with Fire!

      There has been a lot of flap and criticism over an editorial for the Diocesan newspaper in Vancouver, British Columbia in which the diocesan editor did not rail at the murder of the abortion doctor from Buffalo, New York but rather insisted that good can come of this. Naturally, the press took this and ran with it in the wrong direction, accusing the editor of condoning the murder and encouraging other pro-lifers to take up arms. Nothing could be further from the truth and his own Archbishop stood behind him all the way. As do we and in our own editorial today we'll take this even further and call all God's children to arms with a theory that isn't as far fetched as it would seem.

      First of all, think of how the communists infiltrated government and society in the late forties and fifties; think of how they infiltrated the Church and enlisted young men to "spy" for them to the point that these young communist die-hards would devote their life to eating away at the fabric of the Church by becoming a member of the hierarchy and injecting their philosophy into the mainstream of the doctrines and teachings of the Church in such clever, insidious ways. "Fifth Columnists" they are called, and the columns of bad fruit wrought by these crusaders of the antichrist have risen to stifle the fresh air of common sense and grace. So, too, we believe proponents of the culture of death have slithered into the mainline of pro-life circles posing as sheep in wolves clothing. Consider the fact that anyone who is committed to the pro-life cause is PRO LIFE! That means life in all its stages for all God's children...including abortion doctors. Those prompting violence over the years have not been the avid advocates of life, but rather trouble makers who have infiltrated the ranks of dedicated, prayerful souls who uphold the sanctity of life. Consider the facts that the anthrax scare at abortuaries, which the media and Planned Parenthood pounced on, occurred only in precincts where a pro-life candidate was running and had a fairly good chance to win! Coincidence? We think not. Consider the mudslinging political campaigns that were waged these past few months and the costs of the ads and collateral distributed. The costs were astronomical. Now consider the easiest way to get free publicity, to get the opposition riled and turn the tables on pro-lifers. Right! Create a false panic, blame it on pro-lifers who are supposedly so incensed and riled that they will take anyone's life from infecting entire clinics to shooting down, in cold blood, doctors who advance the cause of abortion. Never mind that there are no facts to back up the anthrax scare. The media seldom delves deep when the sensational or political correct garners attention and fills the coffers. Pro-aborts are clever and realized you can't buy the kind of publicity garnered from the death of one abortion doctor who has been martyred for the cause of death - the culture of death, while thousands of those he might have murdered before they were born go unnoticed here on earth.

      It was William Shakespeare who phrased that famous line, "Me thinks, thou dost protest too much." And that is exactly what the pro-aborts are doing regarding this senseless murder. Never mind that it could easily have been a culture of death proponent who sacrificed their own doctor in Buffalo for the cause of abortion. After all, sacrificing, in the pro-abort's vocabulary and mindset, means anyone other than themselves. Conspiracy? You bet. All evidence points to it. Oh, there are a few who are so radical against a movement that they go to the other extreme and these are the ones who hurt the causes they should be living, but they are in the vast minority, less than 1%. They are not for the pro-life cause even if they claim that moniker - for the syllogism does not fit and God knows what's in their heart and soul. It is our contention that Planned Parenthood and the other pro-abortion factions have cleverly schemed this plot to denigrate pro-lifers and to win over public opinion to their cause. Never mind that the lies and slander they have rendered have seriously made a dent in the purse of pro-life groups like Operation Rescue which has filed for bankruptcy. That is their goal, to bleed pro-lifers dry financially and emotionally, while allowing the innocent blood to flow as abortions intensify.

      On top of this, now Planned Parenthood is trying another trick of the devil, downplaying the sin to dull the conscience with an ad campaign that attempts to justify abortion in the eyes of the mothers who have had this dastardly deed done. Our question is: if there is supposedly nothing wrong with abortion, then why are the pro-aborts trying so hard to prove there's nothing wrong? To paraphrase the bard again, "Me thinks there is truly something rotten in Denmark." Like satan always does, he tries to diminish the sin, rationalizing that it isn't as bad as it seems and preaching live and let live. The problem is the pro-aborts don't let live! But they are trying to perpetuate the lie that abortion is okay, that it's merely a "bump in the road" - equating it to the flu or a headache and now promoting pills that will abort the fetus before it can be even formed. After all, if they don't know the child, if they have no emotional ties, how can they be involved or at fault? Dulling the conscience is the best way to placate the ego and allow the sinner to keep on sinning without suffering the consequences physically or psychologically. What they fail to realize is that whatever they want to call it, the suffering only intensifies spiritually which will reach its shocking conclusion when they are front and center before the Almighty Judge and have to answer for their actions. No excuses then. "I didn't know" won't work. To their credit pro-lifers are making sure they "do know" by tweaking their consciences, admonishing the sinner, but all the while loving the sinner and hating the sin as Jesus taught.

      What's truly sad in all this are the lost souls who are truly lost in the shuffle - the innocent preborns. At every instance that they would have a say in this world through pro-lifers, liberal pro-abort judges are striking down partial-birth abortion bans that have been passed by legislation either at the ballot box or in congressional session. How can the poor babies win? Only in the Heavenly realms; and the only way we can help is not through demonstrating or trying to pass legislation. That's proven to be a failure, especially in light of the recent elections with the "politically correct" backlash against pro-life candidates and the split within the Republican Party. The pro-aborts, through a sympathetic culture of death media, have managed to sway the public to the thought process that pro-lifers are trouble makers. Well, folks, let's be trouble makers and stir up trouble for lucifer and his legions by foregoing the normal methods of retaliation and wage a full-scale war on the culture of life with the one proven weapon we have available - the prayer of the Rosary. We've related so many times in these pages about the power of the Rosary and the results that can be accomplished by God through prayer. We've taken part in many a Saturday morning prayer vigil in front of abortuaries and the only weapon all have used is the Rosary; no harsh words, no violence, only love and compassion and fervent prayer. In other words over 95% of the pro-life demonstrators kill them with kindness. Therefore, that computes to less than 5% who are the culprits and promoters of violence and vindication. Among that add in the infiltrators and the amount of bad seeds within the pro-life movement are minimal. So why then are the pro-lifers portrayed as dangerous criminals who cannot be trusted, who are a menace to society today? Because that's the way satan wants it, and with his cadre of sheep in his fold doing anything he wants, it's easy to mislead and deceive. That is the great deception being foisted upon society today, a conspiracy of outlandish proportions that brings to light the crosses Christ told us we must accept if we are to follow Him. We've been doing it all wrong. Too many have relied on worldly means to fight the other-world ways of the evil one. So despite the lies, despite the heartaches, despite the long struggle ahead, it all comes down to the fact there's only one way to diffuse the conspiracy of the pro-aborts: Heartfelt Prayer! In other words, it's time to combat the searing flames of hell with the Light of Christ, the Flame of Love of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts, and the fiery Tongue of the Holy Spirit to set hearts everywhere ablaze with faith. Yes, on behalf of the slaughtered innocents, it's time to fight fire with Fire!

      We continue with our brief retrospect of the first thirteen plus centuries as we take an intermission from our progression of Popes to focus on the second 500 year period. In this installment we cover the rise of Islamism and the growing schism in the East tempered by the swift expansion of the Church throughout western Europe thanks to the valiant efforts of great saints and popes like Saint Boniface and Pope Saint Gregory VII respectively and the monks who kept the flickering votive lights of the monasteries aglow to illuminate the way through the "Dark Ages." The Century of Mohammedanism - 666 raises its ugly face

      Born innocently enough in 570 in the city of Mecca, the man known as the prophet Mohammed would go on to literally change the landscape of the world thrusting a new religion on nations, one that was diametrically opposed to Christianity and one which was fashioned by satan himself. It was in 610 that Mohammed began telling followers that he had visions, gaining many converts and he aroused hostility and anger among the local authorities and the aristocracy at that time. He was forced to flee into exile in Medina twelve years later to regroup and form a formidable army that toppled Mecca in 630. But that was nothing compared to what they would do next. With his death two years later, Mohammed would leave an empire that would wreak havoc on the Christian world for centuries to come right up to our present time. By 643 Islamism had captured the Persian empire and from there it was an easy march into Jerusalem where in 661 the fourth caliph was murdered and replaced by the Omayyad dynasty. But five years later a new breakaway sect came into prominence known as the Shi'ites, a ruthless band who believed the caliph who had been murdered Ali was the legitimate successor of Mohammed. In addition, they rejected the official interpretation of the Koran and set in motion that if you were not committed to Allah, you must die! This included Christians who were dedicated to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Where before paganism and heresy were the greatest threats to the Church, in the year 666 the Shi'ite Muslims, spewing their form of ruthless Islamism, became the main threat to all Christendom. Note the year - 666! It is not a coincidence. The Blessed Virgin Mary imparted to respected locutionist priest Father Don Stefano Gobbi on June 17, 1989 the significance of this year regarding the number of the beast: "666 indicated once, that is to say, for the first time, expresses the year 666, six hundred and sixty-six. In this period of history, the antichrist is manifested through the phenomenon of Islam, which directly denies the mystery of the Divine Trinity and the Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Islamism, with its military force, breaks loose everywhere, destroying all the ancient Christian communities, and invades Europe and it is only through my extraordinary motherly intervention, begged for powerfully by the Holy Father, that it does not succeed in destroying Christianity completely."

      This was the first peg in the triumverate of these two New Testament millenniums, building to the next 1332 which would be 666 times twice and issue in the Protestant Revolt. For now we remain in the seventh century in this review, focusing on the Church during this turbulent time. While Mohammedans were overrunning Western Asia, Africa and lower Spain, the Church in the East was convulsed with unceasing theological disputes as they Eastern Church had to contend with the violent interference from the Byzantine emperors on ecclesiastical questions. While things tended toward decay in the East, new Church life was being awakened in England, Scotland and Ireland and from the British Isles to Germany and Switzerland, especially in the eighth century with the emergence of the man known as the apostle of Germany - Saint Boniface. The seventh century saw the most Popes to rule during one centennial - twenty. In 628, when the Byzantines conquered Persia, the Emperor Heraclius recovered the True Cross which had been placed Constantinople by Saint Helena, mother of Constantine the Great. In 649, Pope Saint Martin I convened the Lateran Council to condemn two erroneous theses promulgated by Heraclius and his successor Constans II in order for Rome to attempt to reconcile the heretics of Monophysitism with Holy Mother Church. The Sixth Ecumenical Council in 680, also known as Constantinople III condemend Monothelitism, the heresy that Jesus had only one will - the Divine and not human will. As the century ended anti-Rome sentiment was growing in the East because of the celibacy issue.

The Century of Saint Boniface and Evangelization

      The seven hundreds could be noted as a century of growth for the Church when emperors came on board, carrying the standard of Holy Mother Church into battle against the vandals and followers of Mohammed. The emergence of St. Boniface and his being dispatched to Germany by Pope Gregory II played a significant role in this century of evangelization. Boniface received a martyr's crown in 753 and, like the blood of the early Christians, his death sowed the seeds of Catholicism throughout northern Europe. Add to this the conversion of Pepin II who virtually ruled the entire Frankish kingdom. His son Charles Martel defeated the Arabs in 732, and Martel's son Pepin III founded the Carolingian dynasty in 751 in which he granted certain lands to the Holy See which would be the beginning of the Papal States. The empire would be inherited by his son Charlemagne who became the sole ruler in 771 and, as the century ended he was crowned by Pope Saint Leo III as the first Holy Roman Emperor, setting in motion a line of rulers who should have worked in alignment with Rome in all things, but too often the greed and political power-mongering kept the sovereign pontiff and emperor at odds. Also at odds were those who believed images were important for worship and reverence and those who believed they were idolatry. From this arose the sticky wicket of iconoclasm in the East and it wasn't until 787 when the Council of Nicaea II (7th Ecumenical Council) confirmed the time-honored and pious veneration of images, thus condemning iconoclasm just as most of the twelve Popes during the eighth century had recommended, reaffirming the decree by Pope Gregory III at a Synod in Rome in 731.

The Century of Splitting and Schism

      With Charlemagne constituted as the protector of the Church, he became the chief among all Christian princes of the West. The Holy Roman Emperor's son Louis the Pious would share his inheritance with his three sons and therein began the split of the empire as internal conflict among Charles the Bald, Louis II and Louis the German caused demarcation lines in the empire forming the outlines of modern France and Germany. This occurred in 843 at the Treaty of Verdun. Meanwhile the Vikings were invading Ireland and settling in on the emerald isle as the Saxons, Norsemen, Swedes, Norwegians and Bohemians were being converted by the droves. It was during this time, however, that Paschius Radbertus originated the first controversy on the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist in which John Erigena appeared as a forerunner of the more dangerous Zwingli. In the East the Byzantine Patriarch Photius was doing all he could to separate the Eastern Church from Rome and he was successful when the 8th Ecumenical Council in 869 condemned him and he took many of the churches with him and formed the Eastern Orthodox Church, thus inaugurating the Great Schism in the East. Twenty-one Popes ruled during the ninth century with the first pontiff Pope Saint Leo III reigning the longest.

The Century of Delineation and Division

      The final century of the first millennium began with the founding of one of the most famous Benedictine monasteries in the world - the Monastery of Cluny in France by William, Duke of Aquitaine. From these hallowed walls would emerge great scholars that would exert powerful influences on the Church and nations. A record number twenty-six pontiffs ruled during the tenth century with four antipopes during this time. It was also the time that brought us Otto the Great, the Holy Roman Emperor who would revive Charlemagne's kingdom. Late in the ninth century rulers in Poland, Russia, and Hungary were converted, opening the door for the true faith to penetrate these borders where it has been solid in the former ever since, giving us our present Pope. The feasts of All Saints and All Souls are added to the liturgy by Saint Odilo, Abbot of Cluny and Pope John XV becomes the first sovereign pontiff to officially decree canonization of a saint, elevating Saint Ulrich of Augsburg and proclaiming his feast be celebrated by the entire universal Church. The first millennium with the appointment of the first French pontiff Pope Sylvester II. As we shall see in future installments how the French Popes throughout the centuries, especially during the Avignon captivity, played a significant role in Church policy.

      In the next installment we shall enter into the second millennium and the medieval times where God would rise up great saints such as Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Dominic, and Popes such as Pope Saint Gregory VII to guide Holy Mother Church through the Era of the Crusades as we continue our review of the first thirteen hundred plus years in the history of the Mass and Holy Mother Church.

"I solemnly tell you that already there has occurred in your world an event which is the red carpet announcing the antichrist."

      Those alarming words in the Blessed Mother's 273rd message of January 3, 1993 imparted to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart have taken on even more meaning in 1998 for the event, of course, was the election of Bill Clinton and his culture of death agenda in promoting abortion and immorality. Reread these messages and see if everything Our Lady has not foretold is coming or has come to pass. Messages Two Hundred Seventy-one and Two Hundred Seventy-two

(Feast of St. Basil the Great and St. Gregory Nazianzen)

      Beloved Hidden Flower, I come for all of my little ones.I come as the Sorrowful Mother, for all I have foretold to the world at God's command now rapidly unfolds!

      This year shall be for all those gathered beneath my Immaculate Mantle a year wherein my Divine Son's Peace shall remain with you, but all whose hearts are converted shall also know the emptiness of joy.

      I solemnly tell you this is a great sign and warning from your Heavenly Father that the great portion of suffering shall now unfold throughout the whole world.

      How I weep! You are very far away from my Divine Son. You seek only your ease and convenience when you come to church. You no longer recognize that my Son, your God, is truly there in the Tabernacle. Nor do you believe in His Divine Presence when you receive the Blessed Sacrament.

      Every moment of everyday He is blasphemed, and satan's hold upon you grows more complete. Let this year be for all a year of total renunciation of self. Become totally abandoned to my Son, and enter upon the way of abandonment through my Immaculate Heart.

      I solemnly tell you the earth shall tremble, tears will fall; but man's pride shall force the Hand of God to strike.

      Please pray! I beseech you: PRAY! This is the only way! I love and bless you. Thank you for responding to my Call!

(Feast of the Epiphany)

      Beloved Hidden Flower, I speak now to all my children. Tell them I am yet a Sorrowful Mother, for so many have refused my words. They do not live as my Divine Son Jesus taught all men to live.

      O! I beseech all to pray as you have never prayed, with a fire of love in your heart and a soul made pure through a life of renunciation and expiation.

      You do not conceive of the Infinite value of a life lived totally in union with the Divine Will. You have allowed the evil one, through your human frailties, to make you lax, lukewarm, tepid souls whose lamps of faith flicker and die. Do you not see the evil one's schemes all around, even within my Divine Son's Church? Every day God is diminished, and all is ordered for the convenience of the people. They, the lukewarm souls, have no time to love and serve God, but boundless time for every conceivable idleness of man's mind.

      My children, you were created to be children of God and to be one with Him for all Eternity. You do not take this seriously, and thus you are far away from God.

      I solemnly tell you that already there has occurred in your world an event which is the red carpet announcing the antichrist. It came as all the world was sunk in ceaseless merrymaking and only those whose hearts are converted heard and understood the significance of this event. Therefore, I solemnly tell you that in these end times I weep; for so very few of my children have the degree of faith which permitted the Magi to follow the star to Bethlehem. How arduous their journey. How easily you might have my Jesus within you every day at Mass. But so few come.

      Where are my lost, little ones? I need all your prayers and sacrifices to help them before the Hour of Justice strikes.

      Heed my motherly words and feel my sadness because my Son is rejected and scorned in countless ways.

      Pray with me. Together, all prayers rise as a bonfire before God Who, in Mercy, shall hear and answer by allowing my Immaculate Heart to Triumph.

      Pray! Pray! Pray! I love and bless you. Thank you for responding to my Call!

   Dear children! Today I call you to come closer to my Immaculate Heart. I call you to renew in your families the fervor of the first days when I called you to fasting, prayer and conversion. Little children, you accepted my messages with open hearts, although you did not know what prayer was. Today, I call you to open yourselves completely to me so that I may transform you and lead you to the heart of my Son Jesus, so that He can fill you with His love. Only in this way, little children, will you find true peace - the peace that only God gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call.
