PAPAL DECREES: Mirari Vos
 
The Gospel of John 16 for the Fourth Sunday After Easter preaches that Christ will send His Spirit - the Holy Ghost - from Heaven to be with His Church and to convey the truth and nothing but the truth. We profess in the Act of Faith: "I believe these and all the truths of the Holy Catholic Church because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived." Pope Gregory XVI in 1832 issued his encyclical Mirari Vos which dealt with Liberalism and Religious Lukewarmness. He wrote, "Nor can We predict happier times for religion and government from the plans of those who desire vehemently to separate the Church from the state, and to break the mutual concord between temporal authority and the priesthood. It is certain that that concord which always was favorable and beneficial for the sacred and the civil order is feared by the shameless lovers of liberty." Compare that with the submission to the godless UN and the ecumania so rampant in the Vatican II church today and read Catharine Lamb's article below. If we are to accept what is being promoted today, then we would be discounting and rejecting Gregory's words. It presents for concerned Catholics today quite a conundrum. That is why we provide these wise and inspired Papal decrees from past Pontiffs so you can see more clearly that the conciliar church has adapted a different doctrine, very different than what was always expressed by Holy Mother Church prior to Vatican II. True Church teaching is reinforced in Gregory's very succinct encyclical Mirari Vos

In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Fourth Sunday After Easter, he focuses on both the Epistle of St. James and the Gospel in which Christ affirms that it is the Holy Ghost, His Spirit, which "will convict the world of sin." Father points out that this is not just some conspiracy theory that the world and Church are rampaging out of control today, but all part of prophecy both in Sacred Scripture and in apparition. One he relays is that of Our Lady of Good Success, which Dr. Marian Therese Horvat has shared with our readers several times, of the Church-approved messages to an Ecuadorian nun Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres. Shears and Tears of a Lamb  
Catharine Lamb is rightfully incensed, as should every concerned Authentic Roman Catholic, at the pandering to the concept of a One World Religion so manifest in the shameful tolerance for the Buddhist Religion that leaves not only contradictions from the highest echelons of the Church in Rome and America, but a whole lot of confusion among the faithful - all in direct opposition to God's mandate to Moses: "Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me." As we can readily see this so-called dialogue with pagan religions really translates to the Modernist mantra of methodism towards a Pan-Religion, the will of Lucifer. Appreciating the Precious Gift of our Faith
 
We continue with our catechesis series from My Catholic Faith, focusing on the Evangelical Counsels of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience. Had more priests and religious, including bishops and even cardinals, adhered religiously to these guiding points of grace, the Church would be strong today. The abuses of Vatican II would never have seen the light of day, for indeed Obedience would have signaled to them that to go against the Truths and Traditions handed down was truly disobedience, which would and did open the ugly jaws of violating both Chastity and Poverty. He calls to task the inane logic and thinking of the Bishop of Dodge City, Kansas Bishop Ronald Gilmore who prefers to quote Robert Frost while attributing to the "Fathers" the "Sacramental Economy" in trying to justify the destruction of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We present the dangerous gibberish he is putting out along with cogent comments by Gary L. Morella on this ridiculousness which is twisting the faith into a tornado of terrorism of souls and creating a Chaos of Unbelief
Echoes of True Catholicism
 
Easter is the time when so many women insist on dressing to the nines so that they'll be seen in church. Nevermind the rest of the year, but on Easter they emerge from their shells because they want to be seen and heard, especially in Novus Ordo circles. The traditional custom of women humbly covering their heads in church has been abandoned except at Easter when pride covers their heads with whatever 'Easter bonnet' is in vogue. Sadly their headwear is not meant out of respect for Our Lord, but for their own vanity. Just as so many have shed virtue, so many women have shed modesty in favor of fashion which, more often than not is most offensive to God as Dr. Marian Therese Horvat traces the decline of customs, fashion and modesty in Questions on Fashion in Ladies' Dress .

We still have a free will, but our choices must be narrowed to only one direction: the narrow way; for that is the only way to save the soul.
