Lock and load your Rosaries and let's roll!
Every Catholic has in their possession the most powerful weapon in the world. But many of these sacramentals have gathered dust and rust because so many have allowed these holy beads and their clout in Heaven to go unused for so long. Think of all the opportunities lost. And we wonder how and why things have disintegrated so within the Church? If we keep wondering and don't use the Rosary, we may lose it just as we have lost the continual Sacrifice.
Is it just me, or does it seem like time is flying by, events are accelerating at a phenomenal clip, both in the world and the Church? Even ZENIT and FIDES are scurrying to keep up with the fast pace of the Vatican. Who said the Church moves slowly? Annulments, beatifications, and canonizations are today commonplace rather than exceptional as it was always before Vatican II. The "devil's advocate" no longer has meaning in the true sense of scrutiny. Exorcisms have all but been exorcised from the rites of the Church. Today, sadly, it would seem canonizations are being bought, Zionist thought permeates the Holy See, and the "spirit of Vatican II" lives in every church on the street whether it be "Catholic," Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, or other Protestant sects. Now even Muslim, Buddhist, and new agers are afforded respect and tolerance for their false beliefs because it is not our place to judge. Because of such fallacy of thought, the heresies spread, errors of the past come back to haunt the present in an embrace of temporal goals, and only those who resist such apostasy feel the brunt of the sword of disdain. So be it. Consider it conditioning for battle, as gold is fired up in the kiln. The key is that we pass muster before God, not man.

Despite the facade proffered by the architects of Vatican II that everything is better and "hunky dory," everywhere you look the omens of war, violence, hate and rage manifest their ugly heads. As each year passes it seems like more and more people are becoming ruder and more selfish, more dishonest, more miserable as they seek to continue the lie first fostered by that slippery serpent in the Garden of Eden. So many today repeat the very words that got lucifer dismissed forever from Heaven, Non serviam - "I will not serve." By subscribing to things that are contrary to God's Holy Will, they are saying non serviam whether they are living in sin outside of marriage, or party to corporations and governments who thrive on usury in stealing people blind, or lying, which has become fashionable by both cardinals and politicians. It's no longer considered a severe sin to have false gods before them in the idol worship of things that they think will make them happy. Definitely people are not happy today. Oh, many may mask their misery with saccharine smiles, but underneath so many just go through the motions with little purpose except to keep up with the Jones's, when they don't even know who the "Jones's" are! So immersed are so many in temporal things that they have lost focus of the spiritual beacons of Hope - the insoluble Holy Eucharist - Christ's Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, confected at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary's Immaculate Heart which begins and ends with her Most Holy Rosary. The Rosary is Jesus' life relived through the fifteen mysteries. It is a scriptural prayer - the Gospel condensed, if you will.
Ah, the Rosary! Despite attempts to bury this "superstitious" devotion after Vatican II, it cannot not die for God will not allow it to, simply because it was the Divine Will to send the Holy Mother of God, escorted by the Angels, to Saint Dominic early in the thirteenth century. Ever since then the faithful have been equipped with the most powerful personal weapon this side of Heaven. Today's feast of Our Lady of the Rosary testifies to the power of this most august sacramental. It was first established by Pope Saint Pius V who witnessed to the world the power of prayer in the face of overwhelming odds. Because of the miraculous victory of the Christian fleet led by Don Juan of Austria over Ali Pasha and his superior forces of over-confident Ottoman Turk infidels, all of Christendom was saved on October 7, 1571 in the waters of Lepanto. And it was good!
Amid many persecutions, the Church flourished until another omen came on the horizon: Vatican II. Why? We're still asking that question because the Church was percolating on all cylinders. There were no problems with the Mass, no problems with the Catechism, no problem with attracting converts and vocations. In the two-decade time period between the end of World War II and Vatican II Holy Mother Church was growing by leaps and bounds. Benediction could be found every week in every parish, the Rosary recited regularly before every Mass. There were two or three Masses each day; confession lines were long and often.
Every parish had 40 Hour Adoration annually. Each church was usually open night and day as a refuge for one to stop in and spend quiet time with Our Lord present in His Tabernacle front and center on the holy altar in His Sanctuary, His house. Yes Catholic churches were truly sanctuaries where one could take sanctuary from the pressure of the world and gain strength of purpose to continue to be in the world but not of the world. How things have changed. Now to find Him in the Tabernacle one needs a road map if, indeed, He's even there. Churches are locked except during the "Eucharistic Celebration" or some social event or inter-faith meeting where Catholics are encouraged to understand and even accept non-Catholic viewpoints. In the "spirit of ecumenism" and to raise revenue to help dioceses pay off hush money for sins covered up, churches are used for every kind of event and, if it is sponsored by a non-Catholic group, then the Crucifixes and statues must be covered for the ostpolitik ostriches of perestroika would not want to offend the sensibilities of man regardless of how, in doing so, they were denying Christ. Can you say Assisi?
Before Vatican II, social action was one-on-one in the spirit of the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, individual souls were the concern, not the "unity of the community" in the code of socialism; strong pastors and their associate priests ran parishes, they did not answer to parish councils with socio-political motivations mirroring Protestantism. Democracy was nonexistent within the Church and we loved it. The Pope was strong and didn't vacillate when it came to dealing with those outside the Church. It was his duty as the servant of the servants to run a tight ship, assure that his bishops were doing their job in helping to steer the massive universal flock between the Two pillars on the Barque of Peter. Holy Name Societies and Christian Mothers Organizations were active in supporting the parish and providing spiritual nourishment through Catholic fellowship, as well as delicious bake goods after Sunday Mass. Bishops were accessible and trusted. There were no "spokesmen" or "spokeswomen" to cover for them. Fear meant fear of the Lord, fear of sinning, rather than fear of repercussion or disfavor from man. On Corpus Christi Sunday every parish took part in processions where families flooded the streets proudly proclaiming their belief in the Blessed Sacrament. Yes, those were days when one was proud to be a Catholic. You knew you were someone special. It wasn't easy being Catholic, especially when so many non-Catholics were compromising, allowing this or that. But the more penance one did - from meatless Fridays to observing Ember Days, to fasting on only water before receiving Holy Communion - the stronger one grew in their convictions because of grace. Like Adam and Eve we had necessary boundaries. And it was good!
It was rare for a Catholic child to go to a public school for each parish provided and funded schooling with committed, dedicated nuns whose whole purpose in life, other than striving for personal sanctity, was to help mold young Catholics into outstanding citizens in every walk of life. Many a nun enjoys their perch in Heaven today for not compromising her principles, for doggedly persevering in disciplining and teaching little Johnny or Mary the Baltimore Catechism. They, with full cooperation of pastor and parent, insisted on each child knowing the Catechism by rote. Why? So that each child knew their Faith!!! Why? So they could keep the Faith!!! And it was good!
So what happened? In Europe, so Catholic for so many years, especially the Netherlands and France, the world, the flesh and the devil oozed into the lifestyle of so many who did not learn from the ravages of two world wars. Within three decades Holland had almost totally lost the Faith; Germany had become a shell of Catholicism, giving more credence to political ideologies rather than spiritual ones; Spain was in the midst of turmoil and, along with Italy, became ripe for communism to take hold. Eastern Europe fell under the hammer and sickle, and in France, the eldest daughter of the Church, the Muslims and Masons have obliterated the one, true Faith by abandoning what Our Lady warned of at Rue du Bac, then at LaSalette, and again at Lourdes. Even a 20th Century appearance in Portugal could not deter the people from doing their own thing, God's will be damned. I urge you to read Dr. Edward Ciaccio's chilling, but accurate and alarming piece France: Eldest Daughter of the Church, and the First to Go Muslim for it is a portent of what is happening globally and few even blink an eye. In America and the mideast, terrorism threatens the very fiber of life. Many might say that is only a recent trend over the last decade, but they miss the point that terrorism has been running amok for the past three decades with terrorism of the womb in the United States through the ugly, sinful, atrocious act of abortion. Before Vatican II there was no need for Respect Life Sunday. Catholics concentrated more on saving pagan babies than keeping preborn babies safe.
We all know that satan ushered in Roe vs. Wade in 1973, but he had already been handed the keys by a fast-growing selfish nation through the revolution of the sixties in which so many had abandoned not only the Ten Commandments, but the checks and balances of Catholicism. The "no boundaries" concept raced out of control. Nuns shed their habits and it wasn't long before their new habits were all bad ones; priests became embroiled in temporal affairs while an aggressive, pro-feminist laity sought to take over the affairs of the sanctuary, held so sacrosanct for nearly 2000 years until the revolution of Vatican II. With the "anything goes" mentality of the sixties, it shouldn't be difficult to comprehend how sodomites could be harvested in seminaries which hitherto the revolution had produced men molded in the temperament and ideals of Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Saint John Bosco and Saint John Marie Vianney; after Vatican II peter-principled lackeys dropped their vigilance and promoted ideas of the bizarre rather than the sincerity of the Cure d'Ars! The fruits of that agenda? Well, the headlines shout them regularly. Bishop after bishop, instead of being uncompromising shepherds intent on saving souls, have become spineless mesmerized myrmidons afraid to offend anybody except those who desire to live and worship as the Church had for nearly 2000 years. Almost everyone has gone along with this dismantling and change out of blind obedience except Traditional Catholics. It is the latter who continue to be a necessary thorn in the side of the modernists who would like everyone to forget what Saint Jerome advised:
"Church traditions - especially when they do not run counter to the Faith - are to be observed in the form in which previous generations have handed them down." And these fence-sitting, politically correct prelates don't want us to know what St. Thomas More preached,
"I do not care if I have against me all the Bishops: I have with me the Saints and all the Doctors of the Church." And modernist bishops at every level would also like to obliterate what the Council Fathers of Vatican One asserted,
"Hence, that meaning of the sacred dogmata is ever to be maintained which has once been declared by Holy Mother Church, and there must never be an abandonment of this sense under the pretext or in the name of a more profound understanding" and "If anyone says that it is possible that at some given time, given the advancement of knowledge, a sense may be assigned to the dogmata propunded by the Church which is different from that which the Church has always understood and understands: let him be anathema"
We could go on, like how the new teaching in Ut unum sint and the course of ecumenism since Vatican II has blatantly contradicted Canon IV of the First Vatican Council which clearly states,
"If anyone should say that the true Church is not one body in itself, but consists of varied and diverse societies of Christian name, and is spread out among them, or that various societies disagreeing among themselves in profession of faith and separated by communion, constitute, as members or parts, the one and universal Church of Christ. Let him be anathema." Or the solid, no-nonsense words of Blessed Pio Nono at Vatican I in his Dogmatic Constitution Pastor Aeternus wherein he decreed,
"For the Holy Ghost was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by His revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by His assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or Deposit of Faith transmitted by the Apostles."
Yes, we could go on and on with more examples of blatant contradictions that have come to the surface over the past forty years, but you get the picture. The truth is that a vast, vast majority of prelates and pastors placed to protect and foster the Faith, have failed to live the Gospel and have preached a different gospel, a totally adverse one from what Christ preached. Saint Paul warned of such waywardness in Galatians 1: 8-10,
"But though we or an Angel from Heaven, preach a gospel to you beside that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema." As we said before, so I say now again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I did yet please men, I should not be the servant of Christ?"
Ecumenism, rationalism and the "new evangelization" contradict the uncompromising gospel taught to us for 2000 years. The new novelties embrace the errors condemned by previous holy Pontiffs. Ecumenism compromises truth and seeks to "dialog" ad nauseum rather than convert souls to the One, True Faith. Ergo, ecumenism and modernism seek to please man. Ergo, those who compromise, suppress or alter the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church cannot be servants of Christ? Paul said so. Is he wrong? If you buy the claptrap coming out of the Curia and Chanceries, especially in view of the heresy being trumped that the Jews no longer need to be converted, then you might begin questioning even Paul or "an Angel." Lucifer loves to pepper one with half-truths until a soul is so confused he caves.
That is another reason the Rosary is so vital, so valuable, so powerful for our times. We are facing our own Lepanto today. The stage is no longer galleys battling Saracens on the seas. Today the enemy are bishops in the Sees who are sabotaging our beloved Faith. For the vast majority in purple and red today are men who have embraced what holy Pontiffs condemned. If you don't believe me, read for yourself Saint Pius V's unquestionably concrete Quo Primum and De Defectibus or Pope Gregory XVI's encyclical on liberalism and religious lukewarmness Mirari Vos or Blessed Pope Pius IX's Mortalium Animos and Syllabus of Errors or Pope Saint Pius X's Pascendi Gregis Dominici, Lamentabili Sane and Oath Against Modernism or Pope Pius XII's uncompromising encyclical Mediator Dei on upholding the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. Regardless of the times, are we to follow a new course, or remain loyal to Tradition? Saint John Fisher who willingly gave his life rather than compromising the Faith said, "He who goes about to take the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass from the Church plots no less a calamity than if he tried to snatch the sun from the universe." That, folks, is why we are in eclipse today. They have tried to snatch the sun from the universe and the conciliar Popes from John XXIII to John Paul II have done nothing to stop them, often enabling and empowering the enemy further. No wonder there are wars and rumors of war, no wonder there are few who truly have respect for the sanctity of life, no wonder God's Laws are neglected because, in the fast-evolving One World Order fashioned by the Masonic, Modernist, Marxist architects, God has become superfluous in order to deny that man can do wrong for man directs his own course; again, God's Holy Will be damned!
Thus is the plan of the world. Nevertheless, we still have the Faith, suppressed so that it is. Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich said, early in the 19th Century that
"even if there were only one person left who held the right Catholic Faith, there would be the Catholic Church." As each year passes, more and more of the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church are slowly but surely obliterated. Don't believe me? Go back 40 years and look around. Now come back to the reality of the present day and see the devastation! With every passing year, hope wanes that we will be able to recoup all that has been lost. That is the sacrifice we make in this time of exile from the continual sacrifice which Saint Alphonsus Liguori prophesied in the 17th century,
"The devil has always attempted, by means of the heretics, to deprive the world of the Mass, making them precursors of the Anti-Christ, who, before anything else, will try to abolish and will actually abolish the Holy Sacrament of the altar, as a punishment for the sins of men, according to the prediction of Daniel, 'And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice'" (Daniel 8: 12).
That is what we have today, as punishment for the sins of men, the abolition of the Holy Sacrament of the altar for it can only be found where it is prohibited by those who have failed to heed Pope Saint Adrian II who asserted that the
"first requirement of salvation is to keep the standard of the True Faith", or Pope Saint Felix II who decreed, "not to oppose error is to approve it; and not to defend truth is to suppress it; and indeed to neglect to confound evil men, when we can do it, is no less a sin than to encourage them." That is why we will continue the battle though are ranks are thinning greatly. It would seem the enemy has gained the upper hand and soon, most of us pesky, crazy Traditionalists will be eradicated. They hope! But we also have hope, hope in the power of Mary's Rosary and her intercessional clout with the Triune Divinity. And so, though most may not seem like celebrating when the situation looks so bleak, those who refuse to compromise should rejoice that they have passed muster to be chosen to fight valiantly for the Church Militant. As frustrating as the battle is, as catastrophic are the mounting casualties of souls, we can take consolation in knowing that, like Don Juan on the rough seas off of Greece on that autumn day in 1571, we are not alone. We have the most powerful weapon ever devised and so few use it. No wonder we're losing ground. I warn again those who pooh-pooh these omens as merely alarmism, God has said it, history will repeat and if we do not place ourselves right now squarely in the camp of Our Lady in fighting to the death for the Sovereign Kingship of her Divine Son, then tomorrow might be too late.
It is no secret we need holy, dedicated priests who will preserve the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church, who will continue "in perpetuity" the Mass of All Ages. "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Mt 19: 26). While we all spin our wheels fighting individual battles and bickering among ourselves, we are missing a golden opportunity to join forces to make our flanks stronger. This can be reinforced by paraphrasing what I wrote Gary Morella the other day in encouraging his tremendous work in fostering true Catholicism and being a thorn in the side of all who veer from the Faith, especially in his own diocese of Altoona-Johnstown where his ordinary Bishop Joseph Adamec, another "fruitful product" of Boston, has apparently lost the Faith. The "battle" is wearing us all out. We all need more help in fighting this tremendous battle we are engaged in with the post-conciliar revolutionists who are trying to destroy everything slowly but surely. With every fiber of our being we will not let them; we will defend the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church no matter the cost. Right now the only help we can count on is from Heaven. So be it. That will sustain us. It is true that we don't realize what a treasure we have until it is taken away. Oh, to be able to travel back in time and begin anew in '62. Shout from the rooftops, "Change nothing! Keep the Holy Sacrifice insoluble!" St. Pius V warned that to alter the purest of Sacrifices would bring down "the wrath of Almighty God and Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul!" So be it, the deed is done and we cannot go back, but we can crusade to prevent others from falling further into the abyss which is already filling up fast with miters. Thanks to the world wide web, so much that we did not know four decades ago has been revealed, the enemy's strategy exposed. We realize now how much we took for granted.
I ask are there any good bishops out there? Really orthodox, uncompromising shepherds? I really doubt it. We truly are living in the end times, far worse than the Arian times of Saint Athanasius and Saint Basil the Great who affirmed in the 4th century that "the whole Church is in dissolution" and that "the present time has a strong tendency towards the overthrow of the Church." Could he not have been speaking of these times as well? At least they identified the heresies and schisms back then. Today heresy and schism are words that no longer exist in the modern Church's lexicon unless it refers to Traditional Catholics striving to uphold all that has been handed down over 2000 years by the infallible, perennial Magisterium of the Church. Despite the odds, Our Lady's faithful remnant will stay the course for we all have a mission - to help bring about the Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart as promised at Fatima! Of course, if we do not promote her urgent message of Fatima and LaSalette too, the post-conciliar revolutionists will alter Our Lady's words as well in order not to offend anyone in the world - except faithful Roman Catholics; all part of the political correctness sell-out by Curia and Chancery alike that has so compromised our precious Faith. To quote the famous words in "Network", "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" The problem is that the common Catholic isn't mad enough. Because of that the revolutionists have been able to infiltrate so thoroughly. We can never give up the fight. We just lost a great priest in Fr. Frederick Schell whom Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey wrote about in a tribute to his uncompromising valor. So many others are dying off. We only have a small, limited time window left to preserve and pass on the Truths and Traditions of the Church Christ founded upon the Rock of Peter. There aren't a lot of us left, but, in truth the real terrorism has taken place within the Church over the last 40 years and so few see it.
We've got to stop these destructive pilots of the new religion of Ecumenism, relativism, and the "New Evangelization" of Modernism from their suicide mission to destroy Holy Mother Church. We don't need knives, or food carts, or box cutters to defend our Faith and unabrogated right to the Traditional Latin Mass of All ages; we have the most powerful weapon in the world that will go undetected at any security gate, but always noticed in Heaven. It's a fight to the finish. Yes, there will be martyrs for the cause, both physically and spiritually. Such is the price for those who have the conviction of the True Faith. On this day originally intended to honor Our Lady of Victory, there is a victory to be won through the Holy Rosary. While Muslims are promised lustful virgins in paradise for killing Christians, Catholics are promised life everlasting for saving souls through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin in Heaven. She's provided us the weapon to save souls, to soften hearts and bring more into the light of Christ and preserve all the truths passed down in the Sacred Deposit of Faith. Even in these devastating times, hope springs eternal. What are you waiting for? There's a battle to be won for the Communion of Saints. Lock and load your Rosaries and let's roll!
