Let the Son shine on you this summer

With the hazy, lazy days of summer upon us, The DAILY CATHOLIC is on a much-needed summer hiatus through August 6th. Because of nerve complications with the editor he needs to rest and cannot stay at the computer for more than an hour a day. In addition, we don't presently have the funds to cover those months. If you would like to send a love offering to help defray expenses, click Love Offering. Therefore, until we can afford to, this issue will serve as our summer hiatus issue. Right now, depending on recovery time and further prognosis, we hope to be back on line with twice-weekly issues on the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, August 6th. It is dependent on donations and the editor's health.

During this time we encourage you to return here daily for our Daily News Portal (to the right) which will provide the latest news on the Church and religious issues that you won't readily find in the secular media.

In addition, we provide past issues and columns to review, as well as specific links to all the documents of Trent, Vatican I, Vatican II, past Sovereign Pontiffs' important pronouncements, and catechetical references to both the Baltimore Catechism and the 'new' Catechism of the Catholic Church so that you'll take the time to decipher for yourself why we have taken a more Traditional turn towards the True Faith that is greatly under siege by satan in these times foretold.

We invite you to see how so many of the absolutes have been turned to ambiguities and have made it easier for satan to enter the sanctuary, doing even further damage. Pray for our beloved Church. Pray for our beloved Holy Father Pope John Paul II, who is the evil one's main target in accomplishing the devil's goal of a one-world-order, a one-world-religion that will usher in the reign of the antichrist.

COMING IN EARLY AUGUST!

We have unencyrpted some e-mails that the one, who calls himself the "SpamMaster," tried to sneak past us since we are friends of his great Foe. They are similar to the letters that came into the ownership of one Clive Staples Lewis some 50 years ago. While these recent ones are comparable in scope, they are much more devastating for they come not from one of the devil's helpers, but transmitted by the devil himself. Today things are much worse for the spamMaster has expanded his reach by addressing numerous anonymous of his legion on earth whom he calls soulScanners by number. These intercepted memos from the spamMaster shed light on what the prince of darkness is up to and will help all to stay a step ahead of him and draw closer to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. We've titled these "Memorendamns." The title speaks for itself. For a preview, see Introduction to the Memorendamns

More installments of Dr. Thomas Droleskey's excellent analysis of the General Instruction of the Roman Missal in his series "The Germ of G.I.R.M."

Introducing an on-line novel for these times. This copyrighted work is called, "White Smoke, Black Fire!" It is both a prophecy and global incendiary event waiting to happen. Taut, interwoven action takes the reader across three continents on a physical and psychological eight-day journey into hell as an eclectic group of ordinary people - lay and religious - are suddenly catapulted into the smoldering ashes of the Basilisk's Black Fire. They band together in a desperate attempt to save mankind - body and soul. The fast and furious action takes one from the boardrooms of America to the murky labyrinth of Rome's slums, from the vast ecumenical stage in Iraq to the hidden recesses behind the wailing wall, from the private chambers of the Papal Palace to the mysterious regions of Northern Africa. The Basilisk's tentacles reach out to every level of political, ecclesial, and foreign intrigue all surrounding the election of the next Pontiff to be signaled by White Smoke billowing forth, if it isn't already blotted out completely by the Black Fire of hell. With global hope waning, the small group of crusaders make their last stand on the charred ruins in Chaldea where all hell had broken loose a week before. Now hell is about to engulf the world. Only one weapon is available to them that can destroy the evil in the hearts of men. But at what price? "White Smoke, Black Fire!" holds the answers. For the Prologue, see WHITE SMOKE, BLACK FIRE!

A Call to Arms!

In our commentary at the mid-point of our summer hiatus, we call on loyal Catholics everywhere to realize the time has come to put on the armor of God and unite under the banner of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ the King, guided by the shining light of His Blessed Mother in defending the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church for all ages. How? Through prayer and action we invite you to join in a grass roots crusade - the FirstCRUSADE of the 21st Century to uphold the Absolutes of our Faith. See editorial For the Church Militant spiritual warfare is necessary for the welfare of souls! in CATHOLIC PewPOINT

Pray for those who stubbornly continue to legislate pro-abortion measures and pray for their bishops as well!

Our series of "Herod's Hero" is now complete and we encourage you to review who is on this list, to tell your friends and parishioners, and to contact those who violate the 5th Commandment and their respective bishops and call on the latter to enforce the disciplines the Church demands. For the 13 betrayers and their bishops in the Senate and 5 governors, see SENATE, and for the 54 pro-aborts in the U.S. House, who claim to be Catholic, see HOUSE. Do all you can to help stop the horrible Holocausts of the Womb. See HEROD'S HEROES

BE INFORMED! RESEARCH AND REVIEW CHURCH DOCUMENTS THIS SUMMER

Though we won't be bringing you daily features for the next few months while on hiatus we provide plenty of reading material for those who are serious about knowing more about their Faith so that they might better understand the tenets of our Faith and not be so easily mislead into believing anything that comes down the pike...whether that be from someone in your parish, from the DRE in your diocese, from various outlets intent on telling you how it should be. Find out for yourself the truths as we present a compendium portal of documents from Trent to present day. We guarantee you if you read it all with a discerning heart you will be able to decipher the wheat from the chaff, understand what the absolutes of our Faith are and not be fooled by modernism and ambiguities, no matter how cleverly they are couched. Remember satan is the father of half-truths. For the special page that provides the portal, see Documents of the Church.

Pope's Intentions for July

The Pope's General Intention for July 2001 is Christian family devotion to reading, living and bearing witness to the Gospel, while his Missionary intention is Pastoral training for catechists and lay missionaries. On this intention we must pray the teachers are orthodox for few diocesan programs can be trusted to be conveying the truths of the Church, so much has progressivism and modernism permeated chanceries and parishes.

Major Feast Days for the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus

In the month of July, dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus, we have first the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle, the Feast of Saint Benedict, father of western monasticism. The middle of the month we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel followed nine days later by the Feast of the Apostle Saint James the Greater and the next day we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady's parents Saint Anne and Joachim. July winds up with the feast of the founder of the Society of Jesus Saint Ignatius Loyola. For Major Feasts in July, see July.

Without God all help is nothing but psychobabble!

"As our instability increases, it will be more clearly seen that if psychiatry is the final and absolute answer to the problem of evil - which no good psychiatrist would ever maintain - then no psychiatrist should ever be abnormal. He ought to be in civilization what the saint was in other days - its most stabilizing factor."
