Let the Son shine on you this summer

  With the hazy, lazy days of summer upon us, The DAILY CATHOLIC is on a much-needed summer hiatus through August 6th. Because of nerve complications with the editor he needs to rest and cannot stay at the computer for more than an hour a day. In addition, we don't presently have the funds to cover those months. If you would like to send a love offering to help defray expenses, click Love Offering. Therefore, until we can afford to, this issue will serve as our summer hiatus issue. Right now, depending on recovery time and further prognosis, we hope to be back on line with twice-weekly issues on the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, August 6th. It is dependent on donations and the editor's health.

   During this time we encourage you to return here daily for our Daily News Portal (to the right) which will provide the latest news on the Church and religious issues that you won't readily find in the secular media.

   In addition, we provide past issues and columns to review, as well as specific links to all the documents of Trent, Vatican I, Vatican II, past Sovereign Pontiffs' important pronouncements, and catechetical references to both the Baltimore Catechism and the 'new' Catechism of the Catholic Church so that you'll take the time to decipher for yourself why we have taken a more Traditional turn towards the True Faith that is greatly under siege by satan in these times foretold.

  We invite you to see how so many of the absolutes have been turned to ambiguities and have made it easier for satan to enter the sanctuary, doing even further damage. Pray for our beloved Church. Pray for our beloved Holy Father Pope John Paul II, who is the evil one's main target in accomplishing the devil's goal of a one-world-order, a one-world-religion that will usher in the reign of the antichrist.

These intercepted memos from the spamMaster shed light on what the prince of darkness is up to and will help all to stay a step ahead of him and draw closer to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. Pope's Intentions for July

The Pope's General Intention for July 2001 is Christian family devotion to reading, living and bearing witness to the Gospel, while his Missionary intention is Pastoral training for catechists and lay missionaries. On this intention we must pray the teachers are orthodox for few diocesan programs can be trusted to be conveying the truths of the Church, so much has progressivism and modernism permeated chanceries and parishes.

Major Feast Days for the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus


   In the month of July, dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus, we have first the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle, the Feast of Saint Benedict, father of western monasticism. The middle of the month we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel followed nine days later by the Feast of the Apostle Saint James the Greater and the next day we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady's parents Saint Anne and Joachim.
