The Holy Father celebrates spreading of the word of God and the Ascension of Our Lord during World Day for Social Communications
   Today we bring you yesterday's Regina Coeli Address in which His Holiness John Paul II celebrated the Solemnity of the Ascension and linked it to the celebration in Rome yesterday of World Day for Social Communications as he hosted over 7,000 journalists from around the world. The Pope reiterated the importance of Our Lord's charge to go out into the world and spread the Gospel and the responsibility of journalists today to uphold the human dignity Christ outlined. The Holy Father also reminded all of this time between now and Pentecost as a time of "waiting in the upper room" for the Holy Spirit .
