What the True Church really teaches
Why the V2 CONciLIAR church is NOT Catholic
Videos on state of the Church Today
  Help us reach more souls

We start off this third week of September, also Ember Week in the time after Pentecost, with two special feasts immediately following the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost where we see in the parable of the wedding feast that whoever exalts himself shall be humbled and he who humbles himself before God shall be exalted. Speaking of exalted on Monday we celebrate the Greater Double Feast of the Exaltation of the Most Holy Cross, discovered by St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine. After years of expedition it was found and from that day forward has been the standard for Catholics everywhere as a reminder of who we are and the price paid by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to give His very life for us. And what do we do in return? We mock Him just as the Romans do. We scourge Him by our sins. We cry out "Crucify Him" just as the Jews did when we decide man has a better idea than God. Crosses today have either been discarded or seek to be erased because it is a reminder that we can't have it all here and expect eternal happiness, but that we must toe the mark on the narrow path, be persecuted as the majority of saints featured this week were either physically or psychologically, and stay the course. The cross is our compass.

To assure we keep that compass on the right course we also have the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God to remind us that life is not a bed of roses, but a series of thorns, swords if you will, that will, like it did her, pierce our hearts. How we handle it will measure the length and breadth of our soul. That is what we should think of on her Double of the Second Class Feast of the Seven Sorrows on Tuesday. Just as Mary endured the mental pain of all her divine Son was subjected to, so also each of us have times in our family lives, at work, in other walks of life where we are wounded deeply by another's actions. Too often we react rather than humbly remain silent and, like Our Lady, offer it up to God Who knows everyone's heart. He cannot deceive nor be deceived. The very fact we have been deceived ever since the time of Vatican 2 should alert those willingly trapped in their comfort zones that they need a few more sorrows in their lives to snap out of their doldrums and to realize one cannot achieve Heaven without effort, without pain, without heartache. The Mother of God continues to be sorrowful as was only too evident in her appearance at La Salette this week in 1846 when she cried openly before the two children. God allowed her to know what lay ahead as she tried to warn through her messenger Melanie that "Rome would lose the Faith, and become the seat of the Antichrist". Think about that and weep with her. But realize we can still remain optimistic in her promise made at Fatima that "In the end my Immaculate Heart will Triumph"! It's up to us to expedite that triumph and to bring as many souls to that realization there is only one true Church founded by Christ, one where the gates of hell will not win, though many think today it is winning, but God will win the war. Only those who cling to Mary's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, only those who receive the true sacraments and remain in the state of sanctifying grace will persevere and be rewarded with unspeakable joy after we've paid our dues here on earth.

With each passing day the world grows darker, more evil. We see it in the news, in the media, in civil life where few are civil as discord is being sown by the very leaders who should be promoting unity. But should we be surprised? No, we should not be for the Mother of God foretold this at Quito in the 1600's and at LaSalette, as well as at Fatima, all Church-approved apparitions worthy of belief. We need only go back to Genesis 3: 14-15 where God said to the serpent " I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel". As the Church Fathers discern this that it is by Mary's seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.

Reverting back to the above paragraph on the increasing discord we face, we want to share a YouTube reminder of Our Lady's warning at LaSalette that reinforces key excerpts she imparted to the two visionaries Maxim and Melanie. We encourage you to use stop action and move the cursor forward manually to read if you are not a fast reader for it moves rather quickly. We see today her very prophesies carried out and the role we, the faithful remnant - true Traditional Catholics - must play for our own salvation and that of so many others for she said, "I appeal to the apostles of the latter days to the faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who will live despised by the world and by themselves, in poverty and humility, in scorn and silence, in prayer, mortification, in chastity and union with God in suffering and ignored by the world. The time has come for them to go out and illuminate the earth." The last thing Our Lady said to the two unschooled shepherd visionaries on the mountain of LaSalette was the charge not to keep it secret. "Well then, my children, you will pass this on to my whole people." That is what we endeavor to do here at the DailyCatholic and several other uncompromising traditional sites and publications and sedevacantist blogs that have sprouted up. We pray daily that those in the "Recognize-and-Resist" camps will connect the dots and quit trying to force square pegs into round holes in their fruitless efforts to justify that Mr. Jorge Bergoglio and his apostate predecessors since the death of His Holiness Pope Pius XII were actually "true Popes."

Persevering in these times is not easy without the graces afforded only in the Traditional Latin Mass where only true priests can confect the bread and wine into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ through the transubstantion that takes place at the Consecration. All other ways are counterfeit. Chief among the counterfeiters is the Argentine apostate imposter posing as 'pope' in Rome, who, like his predecessors since 1958, are so taken with pleasing man that, through their words and actions have shown their true colors even though many are colorblind when it comes to black and white absolutes. The Argentinian Marxist's latest charade is allowing the SSPX priests to hear confessions in what he terms the 'Year of Mercy'. God have mercy on those who are so duped by this antichrist who seeks to relax all doctrines. Note this was all foretold by Our Lady at La Salette that "Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist." Thus we must go against the grain, swim against the stream of comfort zones catering to the world, the flesh and the devil. That is why we have a duty, a Catholic responsibility before God to instruct the ignorant and, believe us, the majority are truly ignorant of what the Catholic Faith teaches. That is why, with so few true priests, it falls on the laity to counsel the doubtful while leaving the true sacraments to the true priests who are spread so thin. The same goes for comforting the sorrowful and there is plenty to be sorrowful for, not only if you read the daily headlines or hear the sound bites, but the void of grace in countless souls since the Holy Ghost long ago lifted protection of the church in Rome today due to the Modernists' infiltration and the Great Apostasy resulting from the Second Vatican Council. Because we march to a different drum and choose the narrow path over the wide path to destruction strewn with wilting roses. That's why we get a lot of rejection. That's why we could tear our hair out in frustration at the lack of conversions except we know that "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible". Therefore, as true Catholics, we must bear wrongs patiently and forgive all injuries. Finally, or should we say, first of all we cannot sustain this path unless we do as St. Paul says in his letter to the Corinthians, "Such confidence we have through Christ towards God. Not that we are sufficient to think of ourselves, as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is from God". That is why we are strongly encouraged to pray for the living and the dead in fulfilling our part of the Communion of Saints, something lost in today's pick-and-choose politically correct CONciLIAR church where the devil has ensconsed himself as is only too evident.

In fact, It would seem the gates have shackled what to the world appears as the Catholic Church today, but in essence, is nothing but an evil imposter posing as Catholic while stripping her of all semblance of Catholicity. Yet so many remain blind, deaf and dumb to it all, going along to get along without realizing how wrong they are and how they will have to account for their actions or inactions at their Particular Judgment when it will be too late to make excuses or say 'I didn't know'. That is why we have continued to publish the DailyCatholic and link you to reliable, trusted sites so you can't say you didn't know. Yes, it means leaving the comfort zone you've erroneously grown accustomed to, but it's time all realized that we owe our allegiance not to men who violate the Faith, but to God and all that His holy Catholic Church passed down from Peter through the last true Pope - His Holiness Pope Pius XII of happy memory. Since then the wolves have invaded and engulfed souls in their wicked jaws. The six imposters you see here could never be true Popes as previous true Popes have decreed as is documented to the right.

When you discover what the True Church teaches you'll realize that ever since the death of His Holiness Pope Pius XII , the Catholic Church hasn't been the same. That's right, and Jesus tells us why. Because what poses as 'Catholic' today, governed by those usurping the authority in Rome and dioceses throughout the world, is a false church - an arrogant, out-of-control, failing man-made religion that has eclipsed the humble true Church consigned in these times to the catacombs. Our Lord shows us in Sunday's gospel His mercy in healing those willing to be healed, but He is also equally just and those who presume on His mercy may be left in the dust. Jesus identifies these proud modedrnists who have eclipsed the true Church quite clearly in St. Matthew 7: 15 that we must beware of the false prophets who may appear in clothing of sheep, but inwardly we must recognize them as ravening wolves or worse. If the faithful couldn't see the "abomination of desolation" (St. Matthew 24:15) and devious destruction of the true Faith during the regimes of the first five imposters since Pius' passing, they should surely see it now as Roman-born Argentine Mr. Jorge Bergoglio continues his agenda to wipe out any vestiges of Catholic truth that would be offensive to non-Catholics in his Marxist mindset to please man, not God through his humanist efforts to form a One World Religion. If one reads St. Paul's warning in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-11 and what many would do in 2 Timothy 4: 3-4, we can more readily see what Our Lord meant in St. Luke 18:8 when He asked rhetorically if there would be any one of faith left when He returns.

How do we restore the sacred? How do we wake up the masses as to what constitutes a true Mass and that those in the CONciLIAR church of Vatican 2 do not have it? First of all, we pray. Then we inform so the deaf may hear and the dumb speak out the truths from the rooftops. Out of all reliable sources verifying the above, NovusOrdoWatch provides the best play-by-play of the implosion of the counterfeit CONciLIAR church and the schemes toward a One World Order which is intent on erasing all true spirituality from this planet. Others worth checking on daily are Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as True Restoration and the following blogs that we heartily recommend Introibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Anthony Cekada's Quidlibet, Bishop Donald Sanborn's In Veritate, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge. We also point you to Traditio which, although the Father Moderators will not admit the term "sedevacantism", 95% of what they provide reinforces this position. Note, we provide here those sites that carry almost daily coverage and in no way demean other sites that update more infreqently. For those sites, please see Traditional Catholic Resource Port.

One of those pioneers in recognizing the New Order "Mass" was invalid was Fr. Paul Trinchard, S.T.L., the dauntless New Orleans true priest who headed up MAETA and whose published books include "New Mass" Is Conclusively Invalid, Apocalypse of the Mass, Latin Mass Prayers Explained, and The Fatima Apocalypse, to name just a few. We were notified by his secretary Denis Pettee on Friday, August 28, as he was in the funeral procession towards the cemetery following a Requiem Mass said by traditional priest Fr. James Wright, that Fr. Trinchard passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23 and was being laid to rest in a family plot on the feast of one of his favorite saints, the Doctor of Grace St. Augustine. Just as the latter battled the Arian heresy, so also Fr. Trinchard was one of those who stayed true in fighting the CONciLIAR Modernist heresy and, as Denis, who is also CEO of Trinchard Publications and executor of Father's will, pointed out, they were able to carry out Father's wish that the Novus Ordo apparatchiks in New Orleans had no clue until he was safely buried. It reminds us of the Irish proverb, "May you be in Heaven before the devil knows you're dead." For the next few editions we will bring you one of the articles Father submitted to the DailyCatholic nearly a decade ago in tribute to this dedicated sacerdote who remains a priest forever according to the Order of Melchisedech.

As Father often pointed out, the only obstacle to totally dominating as a totalitarian society is the Roman Catholic Church. Always has been. Since the death of the last true Sovereign Pontiff Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958 that wall of resistance has been steadily crumbling thanks to those with a worldly Marxist bent to accept the world and please man rather than God as is so evident today. Oh, the devil is laughing, but he seems to forget Genesis 3:15 where the Blessed Virgin Mary will crush his head with her heel. Oh, we can't wait! Until then, it's important to expose the wolves just as the holy Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales advises for the sake of informing souls of the dangers these charlatans pose.

It's also important that Protestants of every fabric, as well as those wedded to the dead-end Novus Ordo and its apparatchiks, realize Jesus founded only ONE Church upon the Rock of Peter and "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (St. Matthew 16: 18). Just the fact the fortifications are crumbling is evidence the church since the 60's is not the true Church for if it were, then the conclusion would have to be Jesus was wrong. That is blasphemy. Ergo, we need only revert to the Act of Faith we say every day wherein we pray "We believe these and all the truths of the holy Catholic Church because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived." Just the fact so many souls have been deceived proves it is not from God, but of His adversary lucifer and his legions. Also the fact that all other religions formed over the last two millennia Anno Domini were founded by men who thought they had a better idea than God give credence that they were all founded upon error. Thus Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodist, Baptist, Mormons, etc. may call themselves Christians, but considering they subscribe to a sect that broke from the true Church, and thus have abandoned their stewardship as God expects, this should have them quaking in their boots for unbeknownst to them, most have embraced Mammon. We say that not to denigrate those born into or taking up a false religion, but to "Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine" as St. Paul urges in 2 Timothy 4: 2. For the Apostle of the Gentiles was given to know as he warned in the next two verses: "For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables."

The vast majority of Protestants and Novus Ordinarians do not realize this and it is left to true Catholics to inform them, to reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. Basically it means upsetting their comfort zone. They may not like it, they may put up their defenses or do as so many do, change the subject and get away as fast as they can. But if we, as true faithful Catholics who abide by the infallible, perennial Magisterium of nearly 2000 years, do not do as Paul instructs in verse five to be vigilant, labor in all things, and do the work of an evangelist to fulfill our ministry while keeping sober, then we will be held accountable for our stewardship and face bad news at our Particular Judgment. We may not win friends with our persistence to proclaim the truth, but if we can convert souls, that's all that counts with God. Man has a free will. That is something to remember and when rebuked, then shake the sandals and move on. After all, all Our Lord asks is that we try. He'll do the rest. We conclude with the reminder of what Christ says in St. Luke 18: 7-8, "And will not God revenge His elect who cry to Him day and night: and will He have patience in their regard? I say to you, that He will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, faith on earth?" The truth is there is little faith left and it is dwindling by the day. It all makes sense today and it makes sense to take our stewardship seriously and commit our efforts to restore the sacred by driving the apostates out so that the churches can someday, in God's time, become truly Catholic churches again after they are re-consecrated with the filth washed away.

So while the Marxist apostate Mr. Bergoglio the unFrancis continues to proclaim ever so boldly collective salvation through protecting against 'global warming', we must realize each one of us is responsible for our own salvation and we've been given the blueprint before Vatican Two. Guess what? It still works. Guess what else? The new-fangled CONciLIAR religion doesn't work. Never will. That is why we find more waking up after praying for the grace to see, truly see, and that is where twitter can be a great means of conversion one soul at a time. That's why, to paraphrase an axiom in less than 140 characters, brevity is the soul of witnessing as we ask you to follow the DailyCatholic on Twitter After all, it is not 'global warming' we should fear but God's Global WARNING. Therefore you need to...

We urge you to join the 15-week Rosary Crusade organized several years ago by Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. to do our part for the salvation of souls by bringing souls to the true Catholic Faith and Sacraments, for the welfare of our country, and for our own special intentions as we all strive for holiness in our role as members of the Church Militant. We all need to continue to pray the Holy Rosary as often as our states in life permit. Probably few times in history have Christians been more reviled than in our day when the godless seem to be stifling free speech and forcing more crosses on those who won't compromise with the world, the flesh, and the devil. We cannot let up and should not limit our Rosary to one day a week. In fact there is now a way where you can join others in praying the Holy Rosary on ROSARY CALL where Tom Gilbrough from Mt. St. Michael's in Spokane has set up a conference call every evening now an hour earlier at 7 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. On the east coast this would be 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, Central 9 p.m., and 8 p.m. Mountain time. Just call 712-775-7031 then, when answered, punch in access 393-323# You are encouraged to call in 5 to 10 minutes early to prepare to share the Holy Rosary with others. You can follow along with the prayers of the Rosary if you do not know them by going to Holy Rosary port The Rosary is the most powerful weapon we have. Connect those beads.

Having begun on Mary's feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on August 22, we have been bringing you a true Treasure of Tradition in the 59 Ave's that will continue up through October 11 and shortly beyond. Each day we bring you one of the chapters of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort's magnificent The Secret of the Rosary, signified by a rose on each bead composing the holy Rosary. In addition, we resume with Chapter 11 of Book One on The Prophesies and Revelations to St. Bridget of Sweden where we can better understand why we must suffer for Christ; and we provide Chapter Four of the late Father James F. Wathen's irrefutable early work on the Novus Ordo being The Great Sacrilege where he reveals the Expurgations in part two.

I know it's becoming monotonous to keep reminding our readers, but with bills in arrears of $1,500.00 we have no choice but to ask for donations. First, we cannot continue to publish if donations do not increase, especially monthly pledges so that we can budget. Secondly, this is a labor of love and there are no salaries or any perks that other non-profits provide their executive directors, often in six figures. We're fortunate to garner the low two figures and we're grateful for that even though our debts are the same or higher. It's just a fact of life and we've repeated it so many time, it gets so tiresome mentioning that it's the same loyal benefactors who always answer the call, but few others. Ask yourself why? Ask yourself if you do not have a duty before God to help those who labor in the field for Jesus and His True Church with no compromises to the false faith, the "mystery of iniquity" that has deceived so many. Is your heart that hardened that you wouldn't give for a worthy cause? Is not pledging a monthly donation worth it for perpetuating the one true Faith? The answer can only be determined by you and what you deem to be generous and worthy. Now I just ask for a little love from our readers by clicking the graphic below to take you to our Donation page. Thank you in advance.

In the Gospel for the Sixteenth Sunday After Pentecost the supernatural life of our souls requires that the grace of God should always go before us and accompany us (Collect). To Him therefore be glory (Epistle). It is He (Christ) Who heals our infirmities (Gospel), and Who is our support. Wherefore He teaches us in the Gospel the virtue of humility. In a short parable He shows that God raises whoever humiliates himself. See Miserere mihi

Day Five of

To enhance each Sunday's Epistle and Gospel we present this special feature provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible. For the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost we have first St. Paul's epistle to the Ephesians in which he expands on a measure that cannot be measured, the breadth and width and length and depth of Christ's Love, true Charity for man. In the Gospel recorded by St. Luke, Our Lord provides the parable of the wedding feast to show that whomever exalts himself shall be humbled and he who humbles himself before God, shall be exalted as we see in The Last Shall Be First

The Fifth Sword that so pierced Mary's Immaculate Heart had to be the cruelest for there she stood on Calvary with Saint John and the other holy women, specifically Saint Mary Magdalen, at the foot of Her Son's rugged Cross, and waited with Him through three long hours of bitterest agony, while He slowly died of a broken heart over the many souls who would reject Him, and reject salvation. His physical agony was very real. His death was very real, but the pain both He and His Mother bore was was a very spiritual pain as well, for both knew that they must never waver in their absolute obedience to God's Will. Jesus gave us His Mother while He hung in bitterest agony on the Cross. He knew that we, weak and fallible, need a Mother's tender care to help us through the terrible sufferings of our exile here on earth. Mary is ever ready to help us to bear our crosses for love of her Divine Son. She is our intercessor before Christ Who cannot refuse His Own Mother. See Fifth Sorrow: Standing beneath the Cross of her divine Son

Today St. Louis de Montfort completes his explanation of the Hail Mary in showing the blessings of this Angelic Salutation that comes directly from Heaven. Other than Christ's perfect Pater Noster there is no more beautiful or powerful prayer that can shed blessings on those who recite her holy Psalter as St. Louis de Montfort relates in his work The Secret of the Rosary and in his magnificent words of praise to Mary in the Little Office of the Immaculate Conception above. Thus he offers an Eighteenth Rose for This heavenly Salutation

In the Latin Roman Rite this feast is celebrated on September 14th each year to celebrate the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on which Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, died. Historians record that the true cross was unearthed by the Empress Saint Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine the Great in the year 326. With Constantine as emperor his mother had the funds and the visa so-to-speak to conduct an extensive expedition for the true cross for it was the sign of the cross in the sky that enabled her son to be victorious - "In hoc signo vinces." Though she was nearly 80 years old her mission was to uncover Christ's cross so that all the world could give it the reverence and veneration it deserved. On arriving in Jerusalem there was no visible sign of any evidence because the heathens had constructed pagan temples over anything Christian to show their disdain. This was the signal to Helena where to look and so she sought out where stones had been piled high, leading her to many discoveries including the sepulchre where Jesus was buried, finding the tools of torture as well after she had the pagan temples destroyed. In the process her expedition nearby uncovered three crosses with the nail holes still visible and, after more digging, discovered the ...More

Day Six of

The Sixth Sword that pierced Mary's heart is forever etched in the famed statuary The Pieta. Before capturing that moment, the Mother of God stood weeping at the foot of Her Son's Cross, and watched as He breathed forth His last agonizing breath, and gave up His soul to His Almighty Father. She watched as the soldier thrust a lance through His side, piercing His Most Sacred and Merciful Heart. She winced in physical pain for Her Son could no longer feel pain. He was dead. Thus the full physical pain mystically transferred to her who bore the brunt for the sake of souls around her and those to come in all future generations. She watched as the nails were pulled and yanked from His gnarled hands and brittle wrists, now smaller than her own, and His bloody, blackened and mud-caked feet. It must have seemed like an eternity as the lifeless body was lowered to the ground where Mary sat, waiting to cradle Him one last time. See the Sixth Sorrow: Christ taken down from the cross and placed in the arms of His bereaved mother

The crux of our faith rests on the Holy Cross for without Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the Cross there would be no Resurrection, no salvation. Thus we bring you the etimology of the word in a special feature to help the faithful focus on the message Holy Mother Church conveys in the liturgy of the Proper of the Holy Mass so the faithful can better understand the magnificent correlation of Sacred Scripture. It is also our hope that in choosing the Latin word with its meaning and derivative more will be attuned to hearing Latin read at the altar and better comprehend the beauty of the Mother tongue No Triumph Without the Cross
To complement the above, we encourage you to read Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's inspiring piece for this feast titled Lift High the Cross

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you an eighteen-minute sermon given six years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan on today's feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The bishop shares how, with the Church eclipsed, those opposing her and undermining her are nothing but lukewarm drips who will dry up soon. The bishop shows how Christ transformed the ignominy of the cross into the greatest triumph ever. He speaks of the martyrs over the ages who would not turn from the cross, whereas today the world, the flesh and the devil have taken over where apparatciks are afoot to persuade so many away from the cross of Christ and replacing the true cross with blasphemous, sacrilegious images. images. The bishop entreats us to look to the Cross as he explains in his sermon on The Tragedy and Triumph of The Cross

Besides the above prayer from St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort, we have the magnificent inspiration he gave us of The Secret of the Rosary. Since the month of August this year is the 800th Anniversary of the holy Rosary, we continue bringing you installments to enhance your devotion in praying the Rosary for those blessed beads are indeed, the most powerful weapons we have available 24-7. We present today de Montfort's reasons why saying "Hail Mary" are two of the most beautiful, meaningful words Heaven could hear as he offers a Nineteenth Rose for the Most Beautiful of Salutations

The Church commemorates by two Feasts the martyrdom suffered by Our Lady, one of two feasts devoted to this same devotion in union with the Passion of Her Divine Son Jesus and His Holy Cross. The First Feast, kept on Passion Friday before Palm Sunday especially commemorates "the Compassion of Mary;" while the second, kept today on September 15, the devotion to the Seven Sorrows. This feast commemorates the seven sorrows (Seven Dolors) of the Blessed Mother of God which are documented in Sacred Scripture beginning with the prophecy of Simeon (cf. Luke 2:34), the flight into Egypt (cf. Matthew 2:13), losing the child Jesus in Jerusalem (cf. Luke 2: 46), meeting her Divine Son on the way to Calvary, the Crucifixion, the Pieta, and laying Jesus in the Sepulchre (cf. Luke 23: 49-56). This feast was first introduced by Saint Anselm and various Benedictines in the 11th Century which took on steam in the following century but did not get promoted universally until the 14th and 15th centuries when the Cistercians and Servites emphasized its importance and relevance in Church liturgy and in devotion to Mary's role in the Church. In 1482 Pope Sixtus IV, who also instituted the feast of Mary's spouse Saint Joseph on March 19, established it in the Roman Missal as the feast of Our Lady of Compassion. In 1727 Pope Benedict XIII declared it as the feast of the Seven Dolors of Mary to be celebrated on ...More

This is the signature feast for the month of September dedicated to Our Sorrowful Mother. In Passion Week this feast precedes Holy Week and the Triumph of the Cross, but this month it is that triumph, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross which immediately preceded this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Seventh Sword that pierced Mary's heart was what she might have thought, in her own human nature, the last she would ever see of her beloved Son for Then came the moment that meant for the Mother of God a physical separation from Her Divine Son as His body was hastily, but reverently placed in the tomb, and with the help of the holy women and St. John, she returned to the House of the Last Supper, to wait and watch in prayerful supplication to the Father, for the moment of her Divine Son's Resurrection from the Dead. The apostles were dispersed, devastated by the events of that past week when their emotions ebbed and flowed and fear took over. Mary, alone, had to remain steadfast in her faith. She could not and would not waver in her faith even for a ...More on The Burial of her divine Son See Seventh Sorrow: Burial of her divine Son

The VerbumQUO for the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary is "Stabat Mater" meaning "The Mother stood" or "The Mother was standing" and is the well-known 13th century Gregorian Chant Hymn, taken from the Sequence Stabat Mater for the second of two feasts in the liturgical year for Our Lady of Sorrows; the September observance being the greater Double Feast of the Seven Sorrows. The entire month of September is dedicated to the Most Sorrowful Mother. In Passion Week this feast precedes Holy Week and the Triumph of the Cross, but this month it is that triumph, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross which immediately precedes this Double of the Second Class Feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We see the meaning in A Mother's Love that Knows No Bounds

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a 15-minute sermon given last year by Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph Seminary at the City of Mary in Rathdrum, Idaho. Father takes us through the seven sorrows, examining what Mary experienced in each sorrow. He speaks of how she encountered the unknown and yet her faith sustained and strengthened her, relying fully on God's love and providence. Even though she was without sin, she still had feelings and experienced sadness and great interior pain, but she never gave up. Strength and perseverence define Our Lady and we see in retrospect why God chose her from all time to be not only the Living Taberacle of the Father's only-begotten Son, but also the one to wean, form and educate Him for 30 of His 33 years. Father shares all this and more in his sermon on The Seven Sorrows of Our Lady

In addition to the above prayer of None from St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort, we have the magnificent inspiration he gave us in The Secret of the Rosary. In commemorating the 800th Anniversary of the holy Rosary this month and year, we continue to bring you installments to enhance your devotion in praying the Rosary for those blessed beads are indeed, the most powerful weapons we have available 24-7. We present today de Montfort's explanation of the Hail Mary as he explains the magnificence of the Ave Maria in offering a Twentieth Rose for the Significance of the Prayer

Pope Saint Cornelius succeeded St. Fabian as Pope in 251. He behaved with zeal and piety in his pastoral charge and adhered to his duty with courage and steadfastness. The holy Pope suffered martyrdom, September 14, 252. Saint Cyprian, Archbishop of Carthage and Primate of Africa, laid down his life for Christ on September 14, 258, six years later, to the day, after his friend St. Cornelius. St. Cyprian, one of the most famous of the earlier Fathers of the Church. There is a commemoration of Saints Euphemia, Lucy, and Geminianus, Martyrs as well today. St. Euphemia, a virgin of Chalcedon, suffered in the persecution continued by the successors of Diocletian, about the year 307. The Council of Chalcedon was held in her sepulchral church. St. Lucy and St. Geminianus, two other martyrs who suffered in the same persecution, are commemorated with St. Euphemia. See the Mass Intret in conspectu

On this day and Ember Saturday all between 21 and 59 years of age are bound to fast and those over 7 must observe the law of abstinence. On days of fast only one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength may be taken according to each one's need, but together they should not equal another full meal that includes meat. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed. On Ember Fridays and every Friday no meat is allowed for these are days of fast and full abstinence.

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you a seven and a half minute sermon given eight years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan on today's saints who were martyrs. He reminds us that in the third century the emperor was a pagan barbarian when Pope St. Cornelius was elected to the throne of Peter who was selected over a heretical priest. Cornelius corresponded with St. Cyprian who, as the Bishop of Carthage, was a pillar of Catholic truth. Both had to deal with apostasy, yes, this is not the first time the Church has been plunged into the fires of apostasy even though today is far worse and universal as in the Great Apostasy. Just as there are disagreements between traditional Catholics today, so also these saints argued as well. The bishop describes further their martyrdom as he shares in his sermon on Pope St. Cornelius and Cyprian, Martyrs

In tribute to the late Fr. Paul Trinchard, S.T.L., we are rerunning an article once a week which he submitted nearly a decade ago. Father provided unmitigated proof that the chances are if you or your parish "priest" were ordained less than 45 years ago, you or he are not truly a Catholic priest. That is the sad fact as Father delineates what the New Order purposely did to alter the divinely-ordained rite of Holy Orders to give the world a plethora of presiders with no power to forgive sins or confect the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, Soul and Divinity at the Canonical Consecration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The consequences are catastrophic for souls and speaks volumes of the enemy's intent to destroy Christ's Mystical Body: for without the sacraments grace is lacking and without grace there is little adherence to the constituted evangelic traditions and necessary disciplines for living and perpetuating the holy Faith, outside of which there is no salvation. No wonder there have been no fruits (cf. St. Matthew 7: 15-21). If you are one of those ordained after 1968 or 1970, contact us at Director and we can guide you to the proper Bishops. We know it takes a humble heart to admit you've been duped, but what price pride when the salvation of your own soul and the souls of those you are responsible for are at stake? Please, think very seriously about what Father documents and ask the Holy Ghost for guidance to come back home to the true Catholic Church ???Am I A Priest???

In this installment St. Louis de Montfort completes his explanation of that most complete prayer - the Lord's Prayer - the Pater Noster - the Our Father said at the beginning of each of the fifteen decades of Mary's holy Psalter, as well as immediately following the Apostles Creed at the beginning of the holy Rosary. St. Louis de Montfort gave us several prayers and reflections including not only "The Secret of the Rosary", but the Little Office of the Immaculate Conception with one of the stanzas from the Hour of Compline above. Here, in explaining the reasons to remember the life of Christ and Mary's role, St. Louis offers a Twenty-First Rose on why Fifteen (and only Fifteen!) is Significant

While Saint Francis of Assisi, in September 1224, was rapt in meditation on Mount Alvernia, Almighty God as a mark of His special favor deigned to impress on his hands, feet, and side the likeness of the sacred wounds of Christ. Until the day of the saint's death blood flowed from these wounds at intervals. Pope Sixtus V ordered this feast to be observed by the whole Church. Clement VIII suppressed it, because the Church only dedicates special solemnities to the mysteries of our redemption; particular favors granted to the saints by God directly concern their individual sanctification and are commemorated when the life of each saint is read in the Breviary on the day of his feast. The feast was restored, however, by Pope Paul V, and raised to a rank of a double by Pope Clement XIV. Its observance is a privilege overstepping the ordinary rules of the Liturgy, extended in honor of St. Francis and not only rare, but also unique. Christ was pleased to imprint upon his new apostle, the herald of the Great King, this stigmata as His final seal changing him to His own image and likeness and uniting him to Himself on the rood of the Cross. See Mass Stabant juxta crucem

While many eschew the possibility of sedevacantism, none other than the respected founder of the Franciscans begs to differ from his prognostication given shortly before his death in the thirteenth century. Thus on this feast of the holy friar's being imprinted with the visible Stigmata of our Savior's wounds, we bring you the essence of what he said and the rational to look at the facts as they stand today and ask yourself if you still believe that those men who so many consider 'popes' during this time of the Great Apostasy were or are not Destroyers rather than true Pastors for true shepherds would obey Christ and not veer one iota from the holy Faith. Truly the saint of Assisi saw into the future through Heaven's permission and through discernment of the Scriptures to know that this time was coming. He may not have known when exactly, but now we have the advantage of knowing we are living in that very time and it is up to us the faithful to do something about it and pass on to others these Omens of St. Francis of Assisi for Our Times

Through these revelations to St. Bridget we see clearer than ever the mind of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Here Our Lord tells His bride how and why He willingly delivered Himself up to be crucified, undergoing the painful, excruciating scourging, and then to have His precious skull pierced with cruel thorns, to be publicly humiliated from Pilate to the peak of Calvary, then stripped and nailed to the ignominious cross beams. He did so even knowing we would be ungrateful. He then explains to her how that relates to our own actions by reminding us to be astinent in all members of our bodies so that, remembering the sweet example of His suffering, we may share in the suffering in expiation for our sins and those of others because we love Him. Remember why we use our members for God

We can see how much St. Louis loves Our Lady in all his works, especially in The Secret of the Rosary and the Little Office of the Immaculate Conception with the above stanza in the Office of Compline. The Hail Mary represents a spiritual rose offered to Heaven in a bouquet of ten for each decade. In this installment St. Louis de Montfort shares how the Rosary is a beautiful way to imitate Christ in so many ways and in honoring His holy Mother. He explains in offering a Twenty-Second Rose for Imitating Our Lord

Saint Joseph of Cupertino, a Franciscan friar in Italy, was born June 17, 1603. The feast of this glorious Son of the Seraph of Assisi was made universal throughout the Church by a Pope of the same Order, Pope Clement XIV. St. Joseph is famous for his evangelical simplicity and for his ecstasies. The whole of the Mass assigned to him brings out the mystical side of his sanctity when he was seen my many levitating above the altar. He worked many miracles, and died a happy death at Orsino on September 18, 1663, as he himself ...More

Everyone between 21 and 59 years of age is bound to observe the law of fast. All over 7 must abstain from meat on Friday. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed. When health or ability to work would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. If in doubt concerning fast for health reasons, consult your confessor.

Thanks to Traditional Catholic Sermons we are able to bring you an eight-minute sermon given seven years ago by Bishop Daniel Dolan on today's saint St. Joseph Cupertino who is the patron saint of aviators simply because God gave him the gift of flight. Yes, he alighted into the air to move more swiftly so deeply was he in prayer union with God. Because he was clumsy and not too bright since he could barely read and write, he was dismissed by the Capuchins. Joseph's mother convinced another order to take him and he grew in grace through God's providence in learning the science of the saints. When praying and in ecstasy with Heaven he would elevate where some even thought he was a witch, but so lost in prayer, he didn't care. The bishop reminded that praying to this saint will help us focus more on God and all things holy as he explains in his sermon on St. Joseph Cupertino

We resume bringing you the late Father James F. Wathen's irrefutable work The Great Sacrilege with part two of chapter four where he began to reveal those prayers that were eliminated from the True Mass not just to streamline the "New Mass", but to erase the whole concept of silence during Mass and that the priest was the Alter Christus who offered, on behalf of the faithful present, Christ to the Father. Can't have that in the Novus Ordo Mess as they tried to erase the Faith. That began with eliminating such key prayers as the Prayers at the Foot of the Altar, the Munda Cor, most of the prayers of the Offertory, the Orate fratres. To make matters worse, Paul 6's cadre of Protestant pugilists pummeled the Canon of the Mass, eliminating so much and trying to ramrod a square peg into a round hole with the "Eucharistic Prayer" to replace the magnicent Te igitur, Memento for the Living, Communicantes, Hanc Igitur, Quam Oblationem and Qui Pridie...and that's just before the Consecration. In total thirty-five prayers or seventy percent of the Ordinary of the Traditional Latin Mass were thrown out including twenty-five Signs of the Cross, twelve genuflections and several other acts of reverence. Father showed how Montini lied through his teeth in completing the Expurgations

St. Louis de Montfort continues on the reasons for the Hail Mary, which is a joy to say throughout beginning with the Joyful Mysteries and Mary's role, then in remembering His sacrifices via the Sorrowful Mysteries where we must unite with Christ and carry our cross, then rejoicing with Him in the Glorious and Our Lady's ultimate triumph in Heaven as we await her triumph on earth and why the refrain in Compline above by St. Louis de Montfort is so beautiful. Here he asks us to remember as he offers a Twenty-Third Rose on why we Pray

St. Januarius and companion martyrs were martyred during the persecution under Diocletian. St. Januarius, patron of the city of Naples and bishop of ...More

Listen to Bishop Daniel Dolan's sermon given on this date seven years ago for this day when this year we celebrate 169 years to the day of that astounding apparition when Our Lady warned of the Great Apostasy. St. Januarius and Our Lady of La Salette

On this day of partial abstinence, all between 21 and 59 years of age are bound to fast and those over 7 must observe the law of abstinence. On days of fast only one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength may be taken according to each one's need, but together they should not equal another full meal that includes meat. Eating between meals is not permitted but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed.

On this Ember Saturday we are repeating Bill Metallo's article on Our Lady of La Salette mainly because today is the 169th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of La Salette and, as Bill wrote, if we had only had been vigilant then we would have realized well before now the destruction already underway in the mid-nineteenth century. The Blessed Virgin warned us and yet we did not listen. Now we reap what we have sown. With what has happened just in the past few weeks and with the Argentinian who seems to have fulfilled Our Lady's prophesy that "Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist", we all need to wake the masses to warn of further catastrophe she so rightly foretold as an omen. We need to bring Vatican 2 Catholics back into the fold of the true Catholic Church; and to reveal the truth to Protestants and all false religions that, contrary to the apostate unFrancis, NO ONE existing outside the one, holy and apostolic Catholic Church can have a share in eternal life. Bill highlighted the Prophesies imparted one hundred and sixty-nine years ago today that show only too shockingly clear How the Faith will be Lost How The Faith Will Be Lost

Our entire goal in life is to strive to be saints. We have the edification of the saints to emulate and the wonderful sacramental of the holy Rosary as St. Louis de Montfort points out as a means of striving for holiness. And the Commendation above penned by St. Louis we lay at Our Lady's feet as we seek sanctity through a devotion to her holy Psalter for it truly is a means of perfection that Heaven sent us through the obedient St. Dominic, then Blessed Alan de la Roche, St. Alphonsus Liguouri and St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort to assure that generation after generation would carry on the legacy of saving souls through fidelity to saying the Ave's. For this installment, he offers a Twenty-Fourth Rose to represent a method for Striving for Sanctification

We urge you to click the Rosary banner above for the Twelfth Saturday in the Fifteen Saturdays Rosary Crusade organized by Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P. to do our part for the salvation of souls by bringing souls to the true Catholic Faith and Sacraments, for the welfare of our country, and for our own special intentions as we all strive for holiness in our role as members of the Church Militant. On this thirteenth Saturday of the Fifteen Jesus fulfills His promise to send His Spirit as the Apostles are rejuvenated, touched by the Holy Ghost to carry out Our Lord's command in St. Matthew 28: 18-20, St. Mark 16: 15-16, and St. John 21: 15-17 as we focus on the Third Glorious Mystery for the Thirteenth Saturday

We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

    • Communion

    • One Hail Mary

    The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
