You can access each Mass this month by clicking on the feast of that day. Also click on the Nazarene symbol of unity to the right to stand in unity with the Iraqi martyrs. Thank you for your patience. Also want to thank those who have contributed thus far to helping with Cyndi's Angels. May Our Lord and Our Lady richly bless those who have given. Through your help we've been able to pare down the debt in half from nearly $8000. to $4000. But as you can see we're still in need. Please don't forget us. God bless and keep. Sancta Maria, Mater Immaculati Cordis, ora pro nobis.

We've just received news of the passing of Joseph Vallejo. Known around Southern Colorado as "Cadillac Joe", he was the 86-year old father of Sandy Praska, who with her husband Doug, have been the backbone of the traditional parish of Our Lady of Fatima in San Diego. He died peacefully on August 5 a day after Fr. Luis Jurado had administered Extreme Unction. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Romero Family Funeral Home, 110 Cleveland St. in Pueblo, Colorado with a Requiem Mass the following day at the same location at 10 a.m. officiated by Fr. Jurado. Born on the feast of Mary, Help of Christians on May 24, 1928, Joseph and his wife Mary Consuelo were married for 61 years and were members of the CMRI's Mary, Help of Christian parish in Colorado Springs where Fr. Jurado is the pastor. Mary preceded her husband in death two years ago on August 27. He is survived by four children Anne, Sandy, Joseph Jr. and Mario and several grandchildren including Doug and Sandy's four children Christian, Shaun, Michaella, and Mary. He will be buried in Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pueblo with military honors as a World War II veteran of the Air Force. In lieu of flowers, Sandy requests Mass stipends be offered for the repose of her father's immortal soul.
As has been the norm for several years, August serves as our Annual Summer Hiatus Edition where the focus is on the Immaculate Heart of Mary during her special month. This includes the devotion of praying daily the Litany of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and three Novenas, all that lead to the apex of this month - the Blessed Mother's feast of her Immaculate Heart on August 22 when we make the Consecration to her Immaculate Heart and Act of Reparation. To the right is a magnificent stained glass rendition of the Immaculate Heart by inspiring traditional Catholic artist Michelle R. Maher. Click the image to see a larger image. There are several of her paintings that we are pleased to feature in this edition. The first Novena this month begins August 3 and is dedicated to that special saint adopted by traditional Catholics as symbolic of the difference before Vatican 2 and after. Her Novena lasts through her feast day on August 11. On the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord we begin the Novena in preparation for the Solemenity of Mary's Assumption into Heaven, and on the vigil of the Assumption we initate the Novena to her Immaculate Heart completing it on her feast day. The links to all these devotions can be accessed here or clicking directly below the masthead above. In addition, each day we will present a stanza from the Little Office of the Immaculate Conception to honor Our Lady.
This month and year, for that matter, is very special in so many ways because it is the 800th Anniversary of Our Lady bequeathing to St. Dominic her holy Psalter, which of course we know as the holy Rosary. It was given to the founder of the Order of Preachers to combat heresies of that era. and we celebrate early in this month the feast of the Dominican who planted the seed for great saints down through the centuries. Just think of how many souls have been saved over that period in history to today by the intercession of the Blessed Mother because of the holy Rosary. It can boggle the mind how powerful those blessed beads are. They are to Catholics the slingshot to fell the monstrous Modernist Goliath. In harmony with the holy Rosary reaching 800, this month and next month, which is devoted to the Sorrowful Mother, we want to highlight an installment on the holy Rosary each day, prefaced by a stanza from the Little Office. The installments are from the work of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort; specifically what he penned over two and a half centuries ago titled The Secret of The Rosary. Yet there really is no secret if one thinks about it and is devoted to Our Lord and Our Lady. But we are bringing these to you in short increments for each day to help each gain more from praying the daily Rosary for it is indeed the most powerful weapon we have available. They can talk about weapons of mass destruction all they want, but the real weapon of Mass destruction are those who have revolted against the true Church with the novelties and heresies of Vatican 2. So we come full circle. Just as it was given to St. Dominic to strengthen the faithful against heresy, so also today we are faced with the greatest of heresies - Modernism, which His Holiness Pope St. Pius X called the "synthesis of all heresies". By Paul 6's own admittance, satan got into the sanctuary and has occupied it ever since. It's time to drive him out and all those who have veered from the true Faith in forming a new modern religion of man. Grab your Rosaries and fire away.
While we celebrate that the holy Rosary is 800 years old, we also commemorate this month the 100th Anniversary of the death of His Holiness Pope St. Pius X who passed into eternity a century ago on the feast of the holy Doctor of the Church St. Bernard. Oh, if only we had listened to that holy Pope who did all he could to safeguard the Church from the terrible evil of Modernism. But alas, the wisdom he imparted was dismissed by those very interlopers who sought to infiltrate and destroy Christ's one, holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Who would have thought one hundred years ago that less than a century later all he had warned against would be accomplished by the VaticanArians of the CONciLIAR church thanks to that revolutionary council intent on undermining the true Faith, satan's last obstacle to total chaos.
Finally, speaking of chaos, what is happening in Israel and Palestine is terrible, what's occurring in the Ukraine is regrettable, what is going on with the scandals of our incompetent godless government and the illegal immigration on our porous borders is unforgettable, but what is more horrendous than all else is what is happening in the cradle of civilization where Iraqi Christian Chaldean Catholics are being senselessly and mercilessly slaughtered, beheaded all because they are Nazarenes - that is, they believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God Who died for us. Because these fanatical pagan infidels have no sense of morals they are indeed merchants of the devil. The symbol to the left is the mark the barbarian ISIS are placing on Chaldeans and their property in the same manner the Nazis marked German Jews and Catholics who would not go along with the Reichstag. Down through the centuries countless were martyred for the holy faith from the early Christians to the Crusaders to the English Martyrs, those victims of the French Revolution and in later times Fr. Miguel Pro and the Mexican martyrs as well as those behind the Iron Curtain and Vietnam, Indonesia, and now the Mideast. Always, the blood of the martyrs nourished the seed of Christianity, and try as they might they will not wipe out Christianity. It is part of the chastisement because we have not heeded God's will. America will suffer for her sins as well even more than she is today, but we can never give up hope that Mary's Immaculate Heart will triumph soon. Until then we stand with all martyrs and proudly say and pray in unison with the persecuted: We are Nazarenes!
