We are sad to announce that on Sunday, November 18 on the Greater Double Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Catholic world lost two sacerdotal giants of Tradition Father Martin Stepanich, OFM a dedicated priest and true accredited theologian, passed away just a week or so after his 97th birthday, and Father Luigi Villa who was two and a half months shy of his 95th birthday when he passed away on the same day in Italy. Both men were deeply dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. For Fr. Martin the month of May had always been special for he received his First Communion in 1925 and Confirmation in 1928 during Mary's month as well as being ordained on May 18, 1941. He celebrated his 71st Anniversary as a priest and was truly the "Godfather of Tradition" for Fr. Martin never accepted nor said the Novus Ordo Missae and ever remained true to the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church. His funeral Requiem was held on the feast of the Presentation - so appropriate considering his deep love for Our Lady who no doubt has or will soon warmly welcome him into the indescribable presence of the Beatific Vision. Fellow traditional Franciscan Fr. Francis Miller offered the Requiem Mass at St. Hugh of Lincoln Church in Milwaukee and afterwards Fr. Stepanich's body was taken to be buried at the Franciscan monastery in Illinois, which is where Father had lived from 1931 until he had no choice but to leave the newchurch after Vatican II. We join all in extending our sympathies for we have truly lost a giant as God pares back the elect in separating the wheat from the chaff. In this loyal son of St. Francis of Assisi, we know that countless souls will reap the fruits of what this faithful son of a Kansas farmer harvested.        Fr. Luigi Villa was the founder of Chiesa viva, a Catholic Italian Magazine that did much to expose the false church of Vatican II. Father wrote several books against the robber council and against the beatifications of Paul 6 and John Paul 2. What many did not realize is that Fr. Villa was privileged and blessed to have known and worked with many of the highest luminaries in the Church, specifically with His Holiness Pope Pius XII, Cardinals Ottaviani, Tardini, and Siri just to name a few of those who saw the devil in the details of Vatican 2. The holy Padre Pio personally entreated him to dedicate his entire life to defend holy Mother Church from ecclesiatical Freemasonry and he served as a spy for the Traditional Resistance, chronicling the deceit and destruction of all that was sacred. During the reign of the antipope Montini he was targeted and remained a burr in the saddle of those potentates in purple, crimson and white who have been the precursor of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, if not the Antichrist himself. Much of what you have read over the years of the chicanery of the CONciLIARS and Curia was first reported by Fr. Villa who lived and breathed the revolution within the Holy See and recognized how the Church was fast falling into eclipse. He was the eyes and ears of the Resistance within the bosom of the enemy of Christ's true Church. He was the first to publish the list of Masonic prelates prior to John Paul I's mysterious death and devoted the rest of his life in an attempt to prove to the world it was murder, of which we have no doubt. Several of those in authority who befriended Fr. Villa met with untimely and very mysterious deaths, and Father received numerous death threats himself, but persevered until God chose the time to bring His loyal son home.     This year's Annual Autumn Hiatus Edition is almost exclusively devoted to devotion and liturgy as we encourage all in the Church Militant to focus on the Church Suffering, which is the poor souls in Purgatory with the meaningful Psalm 129 De Profundis - "Out of the depths" with special prayers for each day this month as well as Nine Pious Invocations and a Litany for the Poor Souls in Purgatory. How you respond spiritually can go a long way as to how much time you might spend in Purgatory. Wouldn't you want to shorten that time? Of course, who wouldn't?! That is why the souls we pray for this month will remember us and intercede for us when they reach Heaven. It is not only our opportunity, but our duty - our responsibility before God - to help the poor souls. Divine Revelation encourages it in 2 Machabees 12: 46, "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins." Those who have been loosed from sin join the Church Triumphant. Thus, we can gain encouragement from the saints we celebrate this month and throughout the Liturgical Year since our ultimate goal is to join them before the Beatific Vision. That is why our main goal here in our role as members of the Church Militant is to provide the truths and traditions handed down through the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church from St. Peter through Pope Pius XII with no compromises to the counterfeit church of conciliarism that has been the greatest enemy of the true Church by deceiving so many souls just as St. Paul warned in the second chapter of 2 Thessalonians and in 2 Timothy 4: 2-8 and so many times as Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ remonstrated in the Gospels.

   This month we observe Veterans' Day with a salute to the service of our brave military signified by the camouflage ribbon. It's good to see after so much pink last month that was so condescending to pro-aborts. Even though this editor is a Vietnam vet, we altered the ribbon to the right just a bit by placing the Holy Trinity in the center for we want to honor the Church Militant as well for their brave stand against the heresies of Vatican 2 and all the terrible atrocities of the conciliar church that has helped usher in the Great Apostasy. While we honor the holy Martyrs of the Church who gave their blood for Christ, we also need to honor in the great Communion of Saints the Dry Martyrs of our era who stand with Him and His holy Church in a time He foretold in St. Matthew 5: 10-12; 10: 7-42; 24: 5-25, and St. John 15: 20 that we would be persecuted because of Him. We are in that time and it is only going to get more intense, more harried, more persecution for the faithful remnant that must hold the bunker of the true Faith in the face of so much opposition from the enemy, even at times within our own homes and families and friends. Talk to any Traditional Catholic and they can tell you horror stories of how they've been shunned for swimming upstream against society and the populist New Order of Vatican 2 by merely embracing the Faith of their fathers, the Faith practiced since Christ. It takes grace to realize this and those who have been given that grace to truly see and understand have a responsibility to carry out the duties of a depleted Church Militant, camouflaged as we are in the catacomb chapels, to help others connect the dots so that "he that readeth let him understand" (St. Matthew 24: 15) and receive the grace to truly see.

   Also for those who are reading this, it is your responsibility - yes your duty according to the Commandments of the Church - to assist those who strive to carry out the work Christ asks of His disciples to "Feed My lambs...feed My sheep" (St. John 21: 15-17). It is most difficult to do so without the necessary funds to maintain this site and non-profit organization. We again remind you that no one at SANCTUS/DailyCatholic takes a salary of any kind. This is a labor of love, but as Jesus says in St. Luke 10: 7,"a laborer is worthy of his hire" even if he's not hired for a salary. That is why we turn to those who are nourished with the truths and traditions of holy Mother Church for you are our only source of income to keep this apostolate going, to bring these truths to more souls for the salvation of souls.     We are indeed the least of His brethren and desperately need your help. To repeat, we're truly serious. If more souls do not donate we can't continue with the status quo you've enjoyed for nearly two decades. It's discouraging because the response has been so disappointing, merely reinforcing the apathy that is out there and the hardened hearts. To commemorate this Solemnity of the Church Triumphant, we invite you to pray in either Latin or English the Litany of Saints

From noon on All Saints Day through midnight of All Souls Day the Catholic faithful, as often as they visit a church to pray for the dead, reciting six times during each visit the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be for the intentions of Holy Mother Church may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the souls in Purgatory, under the usual conditions of making a good Confession within a week before or after, worthily receiving Holy Communion within the week and having the right intention of heart. This is called the Toties Quoties Indulgence.

We continue this special feature provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary found at the bottom of each page of the Douay-Rheims Bible. With the type so small in most bibles, we publish it here in larger type in conjunction with the Epistle and Gospel for the Sunday Mass, with the cogent comprehensive Catholic Commentary penned by Father George Leo Haydock. For the Double of the First Class Solemnity of All Saints, Father Haydock provides a plethora of commentaries on practically every verse of importance. While the Epistle identifies the sign by which we see what constitutes sinners striving to be saints - the sign of the cross, the Gospel lays out the formula for becoming saints with the Beatitudes which Christ our Lord explains with such clear simplicity that any and all can understand. Sixty-Two years ago today is the last time a true Pope spoke infallibly from the Chair of Peter. November 1 is the anniversary of Pope Pius XII's Apostolic Constitution which defined the Dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. He decreed this last dogmatic declaration on the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, 1950. It is important to remind all that this is the last infallible pronouncement to date that was declared ex cathedra. It has been the intent by the conciliar apparatchiks to deemphasize The Blessed Mother's role and to minimize the importance of her holy Rosary, even going so far as to eradicate Fatima in their effort to placate and patronize Protestants and Pagans with the cockeyed reasoning that the Church must be more in tune with the world and its ways. Such erroneous thinking emerged from the Modernists and their man who put it all into motion, the man who called for aggiornamento, one of the men, along with Montini and Ratzinger, who had been censored. During this month when we remember the Holy Souls, let us not forget the Holy Saints we celebrate during this month as a reminder if anyone needs some impetus to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory this month. It is a litany of all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in this month of November. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. Just as almost all in Purgatory are forsaken today by the conciliar church, we must remember our role as members of the Church Militant and call upon the Church Triumphant to intercede for us while we pray for the Church Suffering. As we have said so many times, it's a win-win situation. If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for November by employing the Litany of All of the Saints of November


Though, as members of the Church Militant, we are to pray for the Church Suffering every day of the year as often as we can, All Souls Day is set apart by holy Mother Church to emphasize the need to remember the dearly departed and never to forget them. Out of sight, out of mind is a terrible thing to contemplate when you die and were counting on souls to pray for your soul. Think about it and recommit to focus on expediting souls into Heaven.    Most compassionate Jesus, have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, for whose redemption Thou didst take upon Thyself the nature of mankind and die an ignominious death. Mercifully hear their pleadings - look with pity on the tears which they now shed before Thee and by virtue of their passion release them from the pain due unto their sins. Most pitiful Jesus, let Thy Precious Blood flow down into Purgatory and refresh and revive the captive souls suffering there. Stretch out unto them Thy strong right hand, and lead them to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

Do we realize when we die we could very well be in the same predicament of the souls in Purgatory today? Do we feel comfortable with that? Father Paul O'Sullivan, O.P. helps us better understand what we must do. Do we realize how few pray for the souls in Purgatory today? Who knows, the way the conciliar church is going, they may soon attempt to do away with the Church Suffering. Don't put it past them. First Limbo, then Purgatory. After all, they've tacitly done away with hell, giving the impression to many that everyone goes to Heaven and there is no need to convert. If that's true, then the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the centerpiece of our Faith and the only true worship pleasing to God, is useless. True Catholics see the error in such logic for they know the truth of the fruits of the Holy Mass and prayers for the souls in Purgatory. They also know that the conciliar church has borne no good fruits and cannot per our Lord's words in St. Matthew 7: 15-20. It's another reason to read Fr. Paul O'Sullivan's poignant words Read Me or Rue It!

Because of the emphasis on the Church Suffering during November we bring you another excellent work from the noted pre-conciliar Irish priest Father Paul O'Sullivan, author of "The Wonders of the Mass" and several magnificent traditional booklets that have increased in popularity as the years go on and as the souls in Purgatory increase and sit, and wait, and wait, and wait because we here on earth are not doing our part as the Church Militant to relieve those poor souls of their suffering. This special feature is provided by John Gregory with the Haydock Commentary for the Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost in which Father George Leo Haydock provides a few commentaries that have been abandoned by the conciliar church, so intent on playing down, if not omitting miracles. In today's Gospel two miracles are performed by Christ, one who had the faith but to touch our Lord's garment which, of course, Jesus, by His divine nature, knew immmediately what was in her heart. So also with the young girl whom He had compassion on and rose from the dead, playing it down to diminish the sensational by merely saying "back up and put away your mourning for she is only sleeping." Of course, she was not, but as Fr. Haydock points out it is a way of saying that Christ alone can restore grace to the soul. It symbolizes that she was dead to mortal sin, but revived by sanctifying grace from the touch of our Lord for Christ is the key to all things in life and in death. Something we should all remember well in these times when man places so much emphasis on the temporal and turning to the finite for answers that can only be provided by the Infinite. "Thy faith hath made thee whole"

    Death separates us; it breaks the earthly tie which binds us one to another, but it cannot break the spiritual tie which unites one souls to another - one heart to another.

Saint John of the Cross was born on June 24, 1542 in Old Castile, Spain. Pope Clement XII desiring to honor the Mystical Doctor of Carmel, famous for the help he gave to St. Teresa in the reform of her Order and for his mystical writings, in which he taught the science of the saints for the good of souls, introduced his feast into the Calendar. Josef Ratzinger and his conciliar cohorts could take a lesson from a man who fought the demons but stayed true to his Faith and turned darkness into light. Perhaps they can't see that because they remain in the dark shadows of apostasy and refuse to repent. St. John of the Cross would have much to say of these wolves in sheep's clothing who have so ravaged souls. Souls are what St. John sought to help and his work "The Dark Night of the Soul" has enlightened countless souls, encouraging them through the rough times to always persevere in the true Faith. John Gregory provides the Haydock Commentary for the Twenty-Sixth Sunday after Pentecost and last of the Liturgical Year, thus completing the one-year cycle with the apocalyptic warning Christ echoes and which the Apostle Paul warns against in believing false teachers. So applicable to today's Great Apostasy and these commentaries, like a puzzle, all begin to fit together. Had Father Haydock been alive today, no doubt he would have seen how all the pieces fit to the tableau of the end times as Christ laid out and would have dealt even much further into the first verse of today's Gospel for indeed, as we have seen from Sacred Scripture in what the prophet Daniel foretold in the Old Testament of that abomination being seen in Macchabeus with the sacking of the altar and the end of the sacrifice with the false worship set up against and away from the altar, so also this is Christ's fulfillment of his omen seen so vividly in the sacriligious and, yes, demonic Novus Ordo abomination that has caused so much desolation of souls over the past 42 years during the 50 years of Apostasy. Despite the darkness in Christ's warning that very much dovetails into the Book of Apocalypse, His greatest message is the hope He sheds in assuring that His words shall not pass away.     One of the saddest facts of life is that the living soon forget the dead. We forget when we live: we are forgotten when we die. St. Monica, on her deathbed, pleaded with her son, St. Augustine: "Lay my body anywhere, only this I beg of you: remember me at the altar of God."

Today is the last day of the 2012 Liturgical Year. It is holy Mother Church's New Year's Eve, if you will. While the apostate Vatican 2 church expanded to a three-year cycle gutting the beauty and impact of the orthodox traditional Catholic calendar, those who remain true to the truths and traditions of the Church from Peter through Pope Pius XII still observe the Church's Tradtional Liturgical Year.
