Yes, it has been a while and, though we have come up far short of hoped-for donations, we are going to give it the old college try in resuming daily issues at least for the next month or so and see if donations pick up because, as we have said so often - without you, we can't stay afloat. That is why we also send out this "Mayday, Mayday!" in just trying to publish - as we try to stay above the surface despite the lack of lifeboats available in the form of benefactors - (yes, again that is a subtle hint that prospects have not improved in donations thanks to so many who lean on the lukewarm side). Those who persist in remaining on the sidelines will be easy prey for the propaganda that will permeate the media today and throughout this year leading up to the election as the devil's minions continue their desperate effort to eliminate the Light in trying to destroy all that Christ instituted. That is why True Catholics must issue their own...

...on this day and throughout May as well as every second of our lives. While Mayday can mean many things, this year it is sadly known more as the "Communists' Day", earmarked for protests formed by Marxist union thugs and Obama's own Communist Manifesto campaign intent on fueling class warfare by utilizing his useful idiots in the media, the eco-maniacs and ecumaniacs in the conciliar climes where, from Benedict XVI down, the "green initative" means red as in the color of the hammer and sickle. Don't believe us? Then see The Pact of Metz Just by that fact, we should understand it as a distress signal for those in trouble and that is practically everyone for, as a scribe from the Czech Republic wrote:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President."
That not only sums up the electorate, but the lack of concern by many in the concilar church who have grown comfortable and more blind over the past 50 years. But that is the consequences of forsaking the Social Kingship of Christ. To prevent one from being even more foolish, one would best turn to the one whom our Sovereign King Christ the Lord cannot say no to - His Blessed Mother Mary - our Immaculate Queen. Yes, we can take comfort in pleasing her divine Son by knowing what "Mayday" really means, for to true Catholics it is the day we begin the Blessed Virgin Mary's month of May and celebrate her as the Queen of the May and the one who has the answers to whatever "mayday, mayday!" signals we may send up considering the chaos that exists in our day and age. Think of the S.O.S. (Save Our Souls) message we can send to Heaven during this month with our greatest means of communication that trumps the internet, wi-fi or any other medium - the holy Rosary, Mary's holy psalter.

It is appropriate in leading off Mary's Month of May by honoring her chaste earthly spouse for Saint Joseph is the Universal Patron of the Church. He is symbolized by the LILY and the designated virtue in offering Our Lady a beautiful spiritual bouquet is PURITY. No flower is more significant in identifying the Foster Father of Jesus and chase Protector of Mary than the holy Joseph whose feast we celebrate and who is the symbol of purity, most always depicted by the pure Lily. Thus, as we noted, in some traditional chapels this feast is celebrated on the Third Wednesday after Easter (this year it was on this past Wednesday, April 25). Speaking of that, those observing the liturgical calendar approved by Pope Pius XII observe that Solemnity on May 1 with the very same Propers of the Mass and celebrate the feast of the holy Apostles Sts. Philip and James on May 11. While those who still observe the liturgy as it was at the time of Pope St. Pius X celebrate the latter feast today. We offer both Propers to our readers as well as the beautiful devotion below, prayed throughout May.
The beloved disciple Saint John the Evangelist was granted the blessing of the vision of a woman crowned with twelve stars, clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet. According to expert commentators, most specifically the Haydock Commentary in the Douay-Rheims version, this woman is the Blessed Virgin Mary, with her virtues and her privileges, especially that of her divine maternity. Thus originated the Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which Saint John Calasanctius, Saint John Berchmans and many other saints made it a practice to recite frequently, especially during Mary's Month of May.

In order to make this prayer more attractive, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort (whose feast we just celebrated this past Saturday) added to each Hail Mary one of the praises of the Blessed Virgin, with the invocation: "Rejoice, O Virgin Mary; rejoice a thousand times."

It is this prayer which St. Louis gave to his religious families (The Montfort Fathers and the Daughters of Wisdom) as their morning prayer. He also recommends it to all those who embrace the devotion of the holy and loving slavery of Jesus through Mary. We combine with this beautiful prayer at the very beginning the designated flower and virtue for the day throughout Mary's month for she is the Queen of the May. You can print it out so that you have a copy to pray each day at Little Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin Mary Devotion

We hope to reach more souls through this newest technology of twitter posts below. It is something that prior to now we have avoided. However, in an effort to reach beyond the choir, if you will, and to provide inspiration with short prayers and ejaculations, facts, links, comments and quips, we've launched out into the deep of social networking with twitter.com/dailycatholoic and ask guidance from the Holy Ghost to navigate others to the beacon we offer with the safe port of the DailyCatholic. Some have suggested we start a facebook page and our answer to that is we have enough on our plate with this site which contains well over 50,000 pages already. If someone wants to start a facebook page for SANCTUS/DailyCatholic we would be open to communicating with them, but we ourselves do not have the time to manage it.

The Fatima Prayers
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I addore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
