Another year is at an end. We are all closer to the Four Last Things we should always be focusing on: Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell. In this age when life seems to mean nothing to those who deem themselves self-appointed gods and think nothing of altering the Natural Law, a little reminder is in order. The angel never said in St. Luke 2: 14, "peace and good will to men", but rather "peace to men of good will." Men of good will means those who seek to be in harmony with the will of God. Those who do not have that as a priority are not men of good will. Period! The Holy Family understood this in the recesses of Their hearts as they sought shelter from both the elements and a refuge of privacy for the Immaculate Blessed Mother Mary to bring forth from her virginal tabernacle the promised Messias - Emmanuel: Jesus Christ, the Son of God. At that very event only a few knew, only a few came: the lowly shepherds and their flocks. That should be encouragement for Traditional Catholics that we are but a few, but we can protect the flocks by staying the course, and spreading the word to all how Catholics have been so fleeced over the past half century.

The angels and saints are ready to assist if we but ask, as Cyndi Cain briefly highlights in her annual Christmas Message. It is so simple. We just need to believe. Believe in miracles and it can happen. And why not? Who is the Maker of miracles? It's worked before, especially in times when the Church was greatly persecuted. God's track record proves it's possible and probable. We just need to ask. So, let's ask!

Griff Ruby reminds us not to fret about the hubbub of equal time at Christmas for displaying Creches and Religious songs because after Christmas they soon forget and leave the stage free to allow Catholics to truly celebrate the true season that lasts from Christmas Day to the Feast of the Epiphany, which in many countries is still as important as December 25 for it is the day the world, in the three Kings, recognized the King of kings.

Gabriel Garnica likens our Lord to a true, pure Compass, a Golden one at that. Knowing that the devil apes whatever is of God, should we be surprised that the anti-Catholic, atheistic work The Golden Compass is being touted by the very dumbos spoken of above: the know-nothing nadderbobs. You know the ones, they'll appear to play clueless when they stand before the Supreme Judge. Since the latter is "The real Golden Compass", they'll understand only too soon which direction they're heading. If you don't want to go south, rely on the true divine Compass to guide us through the obstacles of this island earth.

Besides this Infinite Compass, God also has given us shepherds. Dr. Thomas Droleskey, whose latest articles are linked below, shares the reason Heaven favors the shepherd so and why it is imperative for us to follow His true shepherds in this time of the Great Apostasy when Christ is rejected by so many in favor of chaos. That's how crazy things have become. But we have the truth and, when guided by His graces and submitting fully to His holy Will, we can't go wrong.

We have God's word on that as well as the fact all will turn out well in His time, and those words from the Word are enough for every true Catholic. And so, as we celebrate the Word made flesh, we are not reminded of that merely on one designated day of the year but each and every day at the conclusion of every holy Mass in the Last Gospel of St. John, when the priest genuflects, saying "Et Verbum caro factum est". We are also reminded to share the Word and the words with all we meet as dedicated disciples of the holy Faith. If we don't, who will?

To help spread the word, we share some of the best of our features in a tradition we've had at The Daily Catholic for the past several years as we present our Best of 2007. Below the brief messages from our major contributing writers, we share the short, but pertinent reflections of Dom Prosper Gueranger on Christmastide. And for that time, we combine each day of the Twelve Days of Christmas with the respective month so that each day you can return for the Liturgy of the Day, the essence of each day's catechetical lesson, and the top features for a particular month this year. We also provide the green FEATURES bars below of the two previous years, as well as this year, for 36 months-worth of features for you to peruse. We will return with daily issues beginning Monday, January 7th as we expand our horizons in the new year. We thank all those who have contributed articles and inspiration, and all those who have helped The Daily Catholic behind the scenes either with support or donations. May our Lord and Savior reward each with something more valuable than all the money in the world: His Infinite Graces. Nothing pays greater dividends! God bless and keep you during this joyful Christmastide.

We will return on Monday, January 7 with Daily Issues for 2008

There are few more inspiring reflections on the liturgical seasons than the wise and holy abbot Dom Prosper Gueranger, author of the magnificent The Liturgical Year. Here he briefly explains the significance of the season of Christmastide from December 25 through February 2, the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Presentation of our Lord in the Temple. Four days following the conclusion of Christmastide in 2008, we are at Ash Wednesday for Lent comes very early in the new Liturgical Year. The abbe's reflections will hopefully wake many to the treasures of our Faith. See, Christmastide

For those who cannot attend Holy Mass on a daily basis, or even on Sundays because quite possibly a Traditional Latin Mass is not near, you can always send your Angel to the Holy Sacrifice on your behalf in order to join the untold choirs of Angels adoring Christ come down upon the altar. Click on the poem below that illustrates this if you want to print it out:

For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend for your vital reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH, pertinent Papal decrees which put to the lie what is being promulgated today by the Vatican II church. We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE

When it comes to all these ungodly laws being passed by liberal judges because of the lobbying and intimidation of a small minority out to do away with the natural and supernatural order, it is wise to keep in mind the following:

"Unjust laws are, properly speaking, NO LAWS!"
His Eminence Saint Robert Cardinal Bellarmine, Doctor of the Church

We invite you to find out for yourself the truth as we present a compendium portal of documents on the Faith in all aspects, past, present and to come. We guarantee what you read is in full harmony with the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church, and we guarantee you that if you read it all with a discerning heart you will be able to decipher the wheat from the chaff. You will better understand what the absolutes of our Faith are and not be fooled by modernism and ambiguities, no matter how cleverly they are couched. Remember satan is the father of half-truths. Read the fullness of the Truths and Traditions of the Roman Catholic Faith in the sections below.
