"The play's the thing" but John Kerry is playing dangerous these days by quoting Sacred Scripture embodying the very hypocrite he is and embracing all faiths as equal. He is no Catholic. He is an apostate who needs to be saved and only God can bring him out of the darkness he has plunged into.

"Therefore, any leader who supports abortion should be the last person to utter Scripture, and any voter who is swayed by the sweet sounds of Scripture coming out of the depraved deceit of a devil's disciple has truly lost his or her bearing with The Almighty! Yes, Shakespeare was wise in his observation, but we must be wiser in our caution. What better messenger of that caution than the honored guest himself!"

It is Shakespeare, and not the Bible, where the passage "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose" originated, which leads one to wonder if the Bard had more than a passing acquaintance with John Kerry's ilk!

Common Practice

In all fairness, John Kerry neither originated nor copyrighted the practice of quoting scripture for political purposes. Certainly President Bush and many past politicians have waxed scriptural from time to time, especially in houses of worship or before religious groups. Usually these people claim Biblical awareness to foster the idea that they are in tune with spiritual America or consistent with its beliefs and issues. To most, if not all, of these politicians the Bible is a baby with spiritual bang such that quoting It equals kissing the heads of 50 babies. I do not pretend nor do I mean to imply that Kerry is any worse or different than most if not all politicians in massaging the message via the path of hypocrisy and feigned fervor. What I do find most ironic, comical, tragic, and even despicable is that any Pro-Choice (read Pro-Death) politician should even dare to go there!

Kerry Goes There

Well, John Kerry has indeed gone there numerous times over the past months. He has gone to James 2:14 and asked, "What does it profit my brother if someone says he has faith, but does not have the works?" Lately, he compared President Bush to the traveler who, seeing the suffering victim of robbery in The Good Samaritan, merely brushes past with no concern or care for the plight of that injured brother. Whenever Mr. Kerry goes to Scripture, he is usually angling to score points with concerns about the inequalities in America and the gaps between groups of people in our society, be they economic, cultural, social and, yes, religious. Kerry is wise enough to know that you praise snow in Iceland, rain in Seattle, cowboys in Texas, and Scripture in a church. Our fearless flipper feels that Scriptural references will portray him as a spiritual, compassionate, forgiving, maturing leader and help to counter the harmful notion that the Democratic Party cares about religion and the spiritual as much as Burger King cares about calorie and fat intake. The opening irony, of course, is that Kerry questions Bush's demonstration of works over words when many accuse Kerry of doing the same. I mean, I can say that I am Catholic, but what if much of what I stand for is not Catholic at all? Is pushing for the continued and expanded murder of innocent children a good work?

Places Kerry Forgot To Go...

In the interest of equality, fairness, and honesty, I will suggest some more places Kerry can go! One such place is Matthew 4:5-7, where the devil uses Scripture in an attempt to tempt Christ. Certainly our swift boat hero could quote that piece to remind his Stepford supporters that just about anyone could quote scripture to argue some evil point or conceal some evil plan or support. Perhaps Kerry could quote 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 to remind us that false teachers can come as angels of light and ministers of righteousness. Perhaps Mr. Kerry can use Psalm 139, Psalm 51, and Genesis 1:26-27 which remind us that God created us in His own Image beginning from the womb!

In case his audience has elevated killing trees to the greatest evil rather than killing babies, Mr. Kerry could use Exodus 20:13 to remind them that we shall not murder. If Kerry wants to show his audience that he knows what innocence means and that therefore every effort must be made to avoid spilling innocent blood, I suggest he go to Psalm 106: 38 wherein God is angered by the spilling of innocent blood by the Jews who sacrificed their children to the idols of Canaan or note that the Bible condemns the spilling of innocent blood at least 20 times. . Perhaps Kerry is in the mood to wax about how babies in the womb are distinct, identified by God, and worthy of as much respect as an already born person. In that case, he should go to Exodus 21:22-25, Genesis 25:23, Judges 13:3-5, Jeremiah 1:5, and Galatians 1:15 all of which forcefully present these points.

Another reason which often prompts Mr. Kerry to go Scriptural is to muster tears for the suffering. In fact, many of his Pro-Choice cohorts cite the suffering of deformed babies, their families, rape and incest victims, and such as valid reasons for abortion. However, if Kerry ever ventures to Hebrews 12:3-11, Genesis 50:20, and 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, he will see that suffering is allowed by God for His own purposes and is often caused by our own sins. Besides, I have often nearly choked at the absurd notion that one prevents infant suffering by ripping that infant apart!

Three Places Kerry Should be Forced To Go...

Even if our Fearless Flipper should manage to avoid going to any of the above Scriptural addresses, there are three places he must visit before too long. First, Mr. Kerry should read and quote Luke 1:35-36, 39-44 where he will find that one cousin, John The Baptist, recognized the other Cousin, Jesus Christ, while both were in their mothers' wombs. I can think of no better argument that a child in the womb is already as here as we are! Second, Mr. Kerry should visit Luke 18: 15-17 where Jesus overrules His disciples' notion that children can be an inconvenience and welcomes them to His arms.

I can think of no better argument that a child is a treasure and gift from God and can never be an inconvenience! Lastly, Mr. Kerry should visit Corinthians 1:11-24 where The Almighty makes it very clear that even the most hardened murderer of the innocent may be forgiven and find favor and useful purpose in the service of God Almighty! I know Mr. Kerry is very fond of choice, but his own salvation and that of those who follow him make his choices in this regard rather limited.

Conclusion

The Almighty meant Sacred Scripture as a source of wisdom, a fountain of hope, and a path to salvation. However, there are those such as Mr. Kerry, Mr. Bush, and others who will use Scripture for their own purposes. While such use is never justified for anyone, it is most ironic, absurd, and despicable when uttered by the lips of anyone who would speak for the murder of the most innocent within their mother's womb. Such is truly the height of hypocrisy, audacity, and utter depravity. If one chooses to speak the wishes of evil inflicted on these most innocent of humans, then one should not further the depths of one's words by combining those words with the Sacred Phrases found in The Holy Scripture. It is true that the only thing more depraved and despicable than speaking evil is mixing such speech with Words of God, for in doing so one equates the two and dares to make them partners out of one's mouth! As such, there is nothing more evil, more depraved, and more despicable than supporting abortion.

Therefore, any leader who supports abortion should be the last person to utter Scripture, and any voter who is swayed by the sweet sounds of Scripture coming out of the depraved deceit of a devil's disciple has truly lost his or her bearing with The Almighty! Yes, Shakespeare was wise in his observation, but we must be wiser in our caution. What better messenger of that caution than the honored guest himself!

Speaking to Black Baptists in New Orleans, Kerry warned them to "Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing." The irony of such a statement coming from one who pretends to have served ably in Vietnam or pretends to be a true Catholic despite contrary public opinions is quite astonishing! As we can see it is he who needs to be enlightened and not we who need to be enlightened by him. John Kerry needs a thorough exorcism. To quote Shakespeare, "Out, out, damn spot!"
