Truly the Boston Curse has been Reversed!

While those who bought into the lies are singing the blues in the blue states, those who read up on the truth can relish being in the red. While Kerry wanted to jump on the Sox bandwagon, pitcher Curt Schilling threw him a curve.
"If such a vile and painful folly could be swept away so suddenly in the winds of an autumn where curses die, it was only through faith that one could expect yet another curse of deception, hypocrisy, cowardice, and insolence be likewise swept away just as suddenly amid the winds of an autumn where the weight of momentum was silenced by the sweet sound of belief and determination? Like cream rising to the top, the moral issue became the fabric of America's conscience and in the key swingstates of Ohio and Florida as well as many other states, the morality issue was the turning point. The marriage amendment initiatives in all eleven states passed overwhelmingly. Vox populi. They have spoken and voted Kerry out."

With the Red Sox finally having allowed many ancient fans to rest peacefully by reversing the infamous Curse of The Bambino which had kept them at the feet of the dreaded Yankees since just past Our Lady's apparitions at Fatima, it took just one week later to pull the double play and reverse one more Boston Curse……The Curse of The Liar!

It happened exactly one week after the loveable Beantown 'losers' on the diamond celebrated on the turf at Busch Stadium and millions pinched themselves on whether the 'Saux' had really won the World Series. They did. Faithful Catholics also had to pinch themselves for it looked for all the liberal media world as if John Kerry was going to steal in as the next president of the United States. But a funny thing happened on the way to the polls and after. First, people realized morality did indeed trump all other issues. Bravo for that. Secondly, the leftist wags perpetrated false hopes in the exit polling which skewered for all time their credibility.

Frightening Parallels

Just as the Curse of The Bambino began when a Boston baseball owner foolishly sold a sports legend for a superficial, material, and short-lived fling with Broadway, so too the Curse of The Liar began when one Boston "Catholic" politician foolishly sold his faith for a superficial, short-lived fling with Camelot a la the Kennedy lure. Just as the Curse of The Bambino saw numerous brushes with misfortune and baseball distortion over the years, so too the Curse of The Liar saw countless brushes with deception and political corruption as well. Just as the distant Curse of The Bambino found continuing and present embodiments of that initial foolishness and misfortune, so too The Curse of The Liar was but the latest, continuing, and sadly epidemic embodiment of the initial foolishness and cowardice of a Camelot which called itself Catholic while selling its faith for votes and ambition.

Pathetic Claims

John Kerry told us that he ran in the Boston Marathon twenty years ago. When no records were found supporting such a claim, his aide told us that the good senator ran as an interloper without a number! Kerry has likewise told us that he has run the race of life as a true, practicing Catholic. When no records supporting such a claim were to be found, reality tells us that the good senator ran as a moral interloper without truth! John Kerry told us that he had an annulment when he married Theresa Heinz, but, in a recent interrogation by former California congressman and Catholic Robert K. Dornan, both Cardinal Bernard Law and Archbishop Sean O'Malley denied any recognition of an annulment. John Kerry told us he was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and of sports in general, yet he could not even pronounce the name of many Sox players nor the name of a legendary football stadium in Green Bay. Poor Vince Lombardi had to be turning over in his grave.

Kerry has likewise told us that he is a fan of Christ, yet he cannot even pronounce the teachings of Christ concerning God's total authority over life. John Kerry told us that he was a mere 300 yards away when Bill Buckner saw a World Series slip through his legs, yet the facts show that he was 300 kilometers away at a Latino Democratic Dinner. When this physical impossibility was pointed out to his aide, the aide stated that the good senator flew between the dinner and game!

Kerry likewise implied that he was a mere 300 millimeters away from the core of Catholic teaching, yet the facts show that he was and is 300 light years away from the true Catholic Faith and was not looking in the rear view mirror on his trip into the recesses of secularism, modernism, and hedonism. When this moral impossibility was pointed out to the good senator, he usually implied that he can fly between the dinner of the Last Supper and the game of political deception at a whim. Judging from Mr. Kerry's claims, he evidently has both the power of simultaneous, multiple presence in two places at the same time and of unending, multiple lies in all places at all times. He claimed he could be in Cambodia when Richard Nixon was President when he was neither in Cambodia nor was Nixon the President. He claimed he could be in a Catholic Church receiving Communion when he is neither a true Catholic nor respecting the Communion he claims to be receiving. He claimed to be a sincere, simple Catholic who didn't wear his faith on his sleeve while propping up photo sessions in churches and while receiving Communion. He cried that his faith has influenced and directed his life, actions, and thoughts while allowing secular, modernist, sodomite, feminist, atheistic, and demonic forces to influence and direct his true life, actions, and thoughts. He uttered that he is a true Catholic while his campaign canceled a photo session in front of home because the inhabitants refused to remove a statue of The Virgin Mary as directed to do so by his workers. In short, this man made Bill Clinton look like an amateur when it came to lying, deception, insolence, hypocrisy, and cowardice! And you wonder why he lost the election?!

One Sweep Deserved Another!

There was a cry heard throughout the land that a given team would have a given destiny and a given fate so laid out and clear yet no less painful and tearful. There were wounds so deep and open that the spilling of fanatic fervor was as traditional as the gnashing of teeth upon the inevitable downfall and misfortune which seemed to follow as day to night. Despite what seemed like a predestined, predictable, unchangeable path to continued disaster, this fall saw the misfortune suddenly halt, the folly suddenly cease. In its place came a bleeding pitcher holding a crucifix and teammates who cried that they were too simple-minded to do anything but believe in each other and love what they were doing. As eyes watched and ears waited for the certainty of another downfall, 86 years of tears were suddenly replaced with a sweep of fortune always longed for but never expected.

If such a vile and painful folly could be swept away so suddenly in the winds of an autumn where curses die, it was only through faith that one could expect yet another curse of deception, hypocrisy, cowardice, and insolence be likewise swept away just as suddenly amid the winds of an autumn where the weight of momentum was silenced by the sweet sound of belief and determination? Like cream rising to the top, the moral issue became the fabric of America's conscience and in the key swingstates of Ohio and Florida as well as many other states, the morality issue was the turning point. The marriage amendment initiatives in all eleven states passed overwhelmingly. Vox populi. They have spoken and voted Kerry out.

A storm begun in Boston so long ago was finally abated on a field of dreams at the Gateway to The West in St. Louis. So also a fraud begun in Boston so long ago in the revolutionary climes of treason, was abated in a field of opinion at the Gateway to Democracy on Election Day? I can only express a Deo gratias that, despite the silence of the shepherds, the sheep would not allow the wolf to rule. They swept this Curse of The Liar away as suddenly and as emphatically this week as the Bosox swept away the Curse of The Bambino a week before. Even though I am a long-time pinstriper, I can finally let go and raise a toast to our rival to the north. Boston, you deserved the championship! And America, you deserved better than John Kerry!
