SEVENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

The False Prophets Are Here

The Bozos who are in charge today have been duly dispatched to do exactly what they are doing. The ring-leader of this circus? Why the prince of the world himself. Many previous Popes, even Our Lord Himself in today's Gospel, warned of these times. Have we listened to their advice? Look around. All you see are clowns and wolves in sheep's clothing!

"The revolutionaries, realizing that they could never destroy the Church from the outside, decided that it had to be an inside job. They would infiltrate the Church by planting their men in the seminaries, and by befriending and corrupting the younger clergy. Eventually, when these young men became bishops and cardinals, they would have control, the conspirators reasoned, even of the papacy itself. They would have control of the conclaves in which the popes would be elected. The day would come when they would have their man on the Chair of Peter, someone who would do their bidding."

Editor's Note: In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Seventh Sunday After Pentecost, he gets to the heart of the Gospel message today in magnifying the meaning of Christ's words "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." It is obvious to every Traditional Catholic what Our Lord means and in case it is not clear, many previous Roman Pontiffs, as well as saints and Doctors of the Church, warned of these times when the false prophets would be in abundance. That time is now and Father wonders how many realize it has been going on right under our noses for the past 40 years. Those who doubt that summation, don't believe today's Gospel. Father explains in his sermon. [bold and italics below are editor's emphasis.]

"Send in the clowns! There ought to be clowns! Don't bother, they're here!" The words of the well-known song come to mind as I read the Gospel today. Where are the false prophets? Should we look for them soon? "Don't bother, they're here!" And they have done their work well. The Holy Catholic Church was their greatest enemy, the Rock standing in the way of their revolutionary plans. Their work was to destabilize the Church and take over its management, so that it would be a useful tool of the Revolution - that spirit of rebellion against God the Father and His Anointed One His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that has as its author the devil.

The revolutionaries, realizing that they could never destroy the Church from the outside, decided that it had to be an inside job. The day would come when they would have their man on the Chair of Peter, someone who would do their bidding.

Some find this hard to believe, but this is no fantasy. It was the actual plan of the secret societies, which came to light when the document called the Alta Vendita was discovered, and immediately denounced by Pope Pius IX. The popes issued dire warnings about Freemasonry and related secret societies for over two hundred years, from Pope Clement XII in 1738 to Pope Pius XII, who died in 1958. But suddenly, as though the threat had never existed, two hundred years of warnings were shelved, when Angelo Roncalli, longtime friend and associate of Freemasons and Communists, finessed the papal throne out of the hands of the rightfully elected pope and became John XXIII, christened "Good Pope John" by the suddenly friendly media. "The Church has no enemies," he declared. Many traditionalists who are considered expert commentators on these matters should wake up and take an honest look at the facts. It is true that "the pope is the pope," but the question is: "Is THIS pope the pope?"

The Church has no enemies? Pope Leo XIII had written in 1884:

"At this period… the partisans of evil seem to be combining together, and to be struggling with united vehemence, led on or assisted by that strongly organized and widespread association called the Freemasons. No longer making any secret of their purposes, they are now boldly rising up against God Himself. They are planning the destruction of holy Church publicly and openly, and this with the set purpose of utterly despoiling the nations of Christendom, if it were possible, of the blessings obtained for us through Jesus Christ our Savior" (Pope Leo XIII, Humanum Genus, April 20, 1884).

But they have succeeded in their purpose. Not only have they despoiled the nations of Christendom of their blessings, but they have destroyed Christendom itself, or what was left of it. Christendom was Christian civilization, in which the lives and customs of the people were permeated with Christian principles and Christ was recognized as King and lawgiver. Christendom reached its height in the thirteenth century, sometimes called the greatest of centuries, when the countries of Europe were united in one Catholic faith under the Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome. It survived the Protestant Revolt and the so-called Enlightenment which followed in its wake, but the decisive blow came with the French Revolution in 1789. In its new Constitution, the European Union (EU) does not even acknowledge the formative role of Christianity in the development of European civilization. The Freemasons have succeeded, they have attained their goal - they have destroyed Christendom and established a New Order, their Novus Ordo Seclorum.

Have they, in the process, also destroyed the Catholic Church? It is a certainty that, whether they attack from the outside or from within, they could never destroy the Catholic Church, because it is a divine institution, established by the God-Man Himself, Jesus Christ, Who promised that the gates of Hell would never prevail against His Church. But they have destroyed most of what was once the Church. What is left of the Catholic Church in America, for instance, when the American bishops can vote 180 to 6, as they recently did, leaving it up to "freedom of choice" in giving Holy Communion to politicians or others who publicly promote, encourage or support legalized abortion?

The Revolution, which entered the Church through the takeover of the papacy, was inflicted upon the whole Church through the Second Vatican Council and its false prophets, described by Cardinal Suenens as "1789 within the Church." It is presumed by many that through Vatican II the Church has made her peace with the Revolution. But this is impossible. Satanic in origin, the Revolution takes many forms, but it can never be anything but anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-Church. Pope Pius XI warned about the Revolution in its Communist form:

"Communism is intrinsically evil, and no one who would save Christian civilization may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever" (Divini Redemptoris, 1937).
Although the Revolution has assumed new disguises and now walks within our ranks, preaches from our pulpits and sits in our seats of authority, we can justly paraphrase the words of Pope Pius XI and say: "The Revolution is intrinsically evil, and no one who would save Christian civilization - or the Catholic Church - may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever."

We read in the Apocalypse about the Beast, which may be identified with the Revolution, and with the Antichrist, its ultimate leader: "And it was allowed to wage war with the saints and to overcome them. And there was given to it authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. And all the inhabitants of the earth will worship it whose names have not been written in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain from the foundation of the world" (Apoc.13:7,8).

We must beware of false prophets! But how do we recognize them? Jesus tells us in today's Gospel: "By their fruits you will know them" (Mt.7:20). The fruits of the Revolution within the Catholic Church are sin, infidelity, scandal, heresy, apostasy, and death. Judgment and Hell will follow for the partisans of the Revolution, who made war against God and the Lamb Who was slain, Jesus Christ. As for the faithful, St. John in the Apocalypse tells us of their destiny:

"These are they who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple, and he who sits upon the throne will dwell with them. They shall neither hunger nor thirst any more, neither shall the sun strike them nor any heat. For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will guide them to the fountains of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes" (Apoc.7: 14b-17).
