"Let nothing of the world dissuade you from having absolute faith."
Those words come from the Blessed Virgin Mary in her 412th Message to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart on the Feast of the Archangels in September, 1993 in which Our Lady reinforces her previous Message #411 two days earlier that we all need to be ready spiritually for the Warning which will come when we least expect it and is the great sign of God's Infinite Mercy before His Justice is delivered. She beseeches us to pray for the protection of the Holy Archangels, especially Saint Michael against the wiles of the evil one, imploring all to "pray, watch, wait and persevere" for "all shall come to pass." the need to trust in her Divine Spouse the Holy Spirit in our constant struggle with the world, the flesh and the devil. February 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message
Dear children! Also today I am with you in a special way contemplating and living the passion of Jesus in my heart. Little children, open your hearts and give me everything that is in them: joys, sorrows and each, even the smallest, pain, that I may offer them to Jesus; so that with His immeasurable love, He may burn and transform your sorrows into the joy of His resurrection. That is why, I now call you in a special way, little children, for your hearts to open to prayer, so that through prayer you may become friends of Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.

HEADLINES:
Head of the Doctrine of Faith intends to enforce the faith through Holy Father's motu proprio Ad Tuendam Fidem
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger believes the Pope's motu proprio Ad Tuendam Fidem released last year has been misunderstood by many but he is confident that once misconceptions are clarified all will fall in line with what was intended by the document aimed at reining in dissident theologians at Catholic universities, many of whom had gone unchecked prior to the release of the motu proprio. One priest excommunicated in New York, while another posing as a priest is arrested in Colorado
The rebel priest James Callan, once removed from one parish in the Diocese of Rochester, was officially excommunicated this past week for setting up his own schismatic church and leading others astray. The Diocese suggested they might petition Rome to have his priestly functions suspended as well because of his apostasy. Meanwhile in Colorado a man who is not a priest was arrested for posing as one to con unsuspecting couples out of money for marrying them. Police charged him with fraud and theft. Culture of Death agenda pushed by Presidents of US and Venezuela and Bishops are not happy
The Culture of Death once again raised its ugly head this week with the announcement by the Clinton administration that, despite vehement protests by at least seventy pro-life congressman, they were bullheadedly going ahead with stem cell research which can only be done through aborted fetuses, thus advancing that horrendous sin and making it clearer than ever the true intent of the Clinton regime. Meanwhile in Caracas, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who had pronounced himself pro-life, did an about face in promoting sterilizations as part of his "Bolivar 2000" campaign and the Venezuelan bishops are livid. Bishop makes impassioned plea to Sierra Leone kidnappers to free hostage priests
Citing the fact the kidnapped priests taken by rebel forces are "men of God...not polticians" Bishop George Biguzzi of Makeni, Sierra Leone made an impassioned plea to the kidnappers to release three priests who were forcibly taken from their parishes on the outskirts of Freetown where civil war escalated earlier this year. The Bishop also complained that these rebels have ransacked the coffers of numerous churches in the region. For more, click on Sierra Leone.

There is no speculation when it comes to Truth!
In this weekend's editorial we extend on Bishop Fulton J. Sheen's words in SIMPLY SHEEN today in which the good bishop points out in the simplest of terms what truth is and how to attain it. His summation and ours makes it very evident that our modern leaders - from politicians like Bill Clinton to business tycoons Ted Turner haven't got a clue when it comes to recognizing and accepting the truth. Why is that? We answer it succinctly through its simplicity. For this weekend's commentary It's not politics, it's truth! It's that simple! , click on CATHOLIC PewPOINT.
Mortal Sin leads in only one direction! Hint: it's hot down there! Mighty hot
In her column this week, Sister Mary Lucy Astuto begins a series on Lent, zeroing in first and foremost on the most damaging cancer that can attack us; one that is not only fatal but immortally fatal: Mortal Sin. She laments how so few of our younger Catholics have been truly educated as to how serious Mortal Sin is and harkons back to what God has said, reminding all they are not something the Almighty suggests, but commands. Remembering His Promise...
Meditative Lessons on the Sorrowful Mysteries
It was a promise Jesus made repeatedly in Sacred Scripture - the hope for all eternity. Yet Judas Iscariot had other plans for his agenda was foreign to Christ's, foreign to the Will of God. In today's Meditative Lesson 3, we get an initial look into the heart and soul of Jesus as viewed interiorly by the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart in the first part of WITH THE APOSTLES ON THE EVE OF PASSOVER as we continue these inspiring lessons on the Passion throughout Lent. SIMPLY SHEEN: "The truth shall make you free."
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind. Today we begin famous quotes from this late luminary who did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN". On Fridays we bring you more than just a quote; we bring you a brief homily on a subject that is pertinent today. That subject today is the search for truth, the forgotton ideal that has been so besmirched and disgarded in today's society. The good bishop points out that the only freedom is in having boundaries to curb our self-will and keep us focused on the Prize. For words of wisdom from Bishop Sheen, click on Simply Sheen.

Our twenty-fourth red hat we feature, in alphabetical order is Cardinal Giovanni Cheli, the Italian President Emeritus of the Pontifical Council for the Care of Migrants and Itinerant People.
