Chair of Unity Octave
January 18-25
Many are under the impression that the Week for Christian Unity which lasts from Wednesday's Double Major Feast of St. Peter's Chair at Rome on January 18th until this coming Wednesday's Double Major Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul on January 25th is a concoction of the Vatican II church. Au contraire, for it had been in vogue prior to Vatican II for true ecumenism - conversion, if you will and the antiphon prayer below illustrates this for it does not call for dialogue but conversion to the True Faith by those outside the Faith. And, as we all know from the thrice-proclaimed dogma Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus - Outside the Church there is no salvation!

The daily prayer for true Church Unity is also for the restoration of Traditional Catholicism throughout the world. Let us also pray that God will hear our prayer and give us a truly Catholic Pope and true shepherds to lead us out of the desert - away from the heresies and grave errors caused by the Second Vatican Council and those who have sought to continue the charade.

PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH UNITY OCTAVE
    (Official Octave Prayer)

ANTIPHON: "That they all may be one, as Thou, Father, in Me and I in Thee; that they also may be one in Us; that the world may believe that Thou has sent Me." (John 17: 21)

      V. I say unto thee that thou art Peter
      R. And upon this Rock I will build My Church.

Let us pray. O Lord Jesus Christ, Who saidst unto Thine Apostles: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; regard not our sins, but the faith of Thy Church, and vouchsafe to grant unto Her that peace and unity which are agreeable to Thy Will. Who livest and reignest God forever and ever. Amen.

An indulgence of 300 days during the octave of prayers for the unity of the Church, from the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter in Rome to the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. A Plenary Indulgence on the usual conditions at the end of the devout exercise.

Continuing with "Double Whammy Week" we bring you two columns by Griff Ruby on "Spiritual Lesson." His newest is a simple analogy of a boy and a dog, in which he lays out the crux of the problem with the conciliar church today and what has happened to society as a whole because the lampstand of vigilance and adherence to truth and tradition has been infiltrated and tampered with. The other is one that ran in December 2004 and applies the practicality of a spiritual lesson learned from an airline attendant. Both are timeless in recognizing the bottom line during this

In keeping with Christ's assurance in Matthew 7: 19 that "Every tree that yieldeth not good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire" the disintegration of the Protestant-Masonic-Pagan man-made church is inevitable. The collapse of this synthetic pan-christian religion spawned from Vatican II, which has usurped the True Roman Catholic Church, is evident from the news reports below, the feature articles to the right, our EyeOpeners highlighting certain news stories, and the realization of what the True Church truly teaches on our CREDO & CULTURE Page, and especially in the infrangible Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the true Liturgy for each day of the Church's liturgical year, which we provide daily for readers with the Ordinary and Proper of each Mass in both Latin and English so Catholics may truly continue to practice their Faith and truly KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH! • Christ or chaos
Following up on Gabriel Garnica's article, "Judas, We Hardly Knew Ye", Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey provides an in-depth study on what's behind the scenes and furnishes accuracy through Scripture and Holy Mother Church's stance on the status of Judas Iscariot, which is vastly different than the modern conciliar church's idea of universal salvation in which men at very high levels of the modern Vatican have expressed the heretical belief that Judas was saved despite the evidence to the contrary. Yet Tom expresses the rationale why such thought is expressed today as more of the bastions of True Catholicism are undermined in further distancing Eternal Rome from Modern Rome and the concept that 'Judas wasn't so bad' plays right into the universal salvation heresy expressed by a modernist who was most influential in the life of the past two conciliar popes - Hans Urs von Balthasar. Tom explains how deftly the modern Judases kiss up to the world, the flesh and the devil by betraying Christ and His Social Kingship in his thorough and revised column he has posted on his Christ or chaos site with A Patron Saint for Conciliarism?

    Christ or chaos
In a "Gems From the Past" article by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey for this "Double Whammy Week" we present a column he wrote two years ago in which he expresses how too many have accepted the compromise and in so doing have only empowered satan further. He addressed the bishops of the United States, dressing them down for their lukewarmness and pulled no punches when it came to the Democratic candidate for president John F. Kerry who was trying to ride on the coattails of another JFK whose own heresy began America on this trek into moral depravity and a loss of its soul. Tom pointed out the magnificence and absolute principles outlined by Pope Leo XIII in Sapientiae Christianae 114 years ago which holds truer today for politicians and the hierarchy than ever before. Tom also reminded the reader that it is not the political parties who have the answers. Neither the pro-abort Dems or the hypocritical GOP are the answer. The only answer continues to be, as we arrive at the 33rd anniversary of the woeful Roe v. Wade decision, is to strive with every ounce of energy and breath of life to preserve life - everlasting life - by seeking to re-establish the Social Kingship of Christ no matter what it takes. Tom laid it all out in his hard-hitting column Craven Cowards and Judases
    The Straight Stuff
Griff Ruby debuts with a practical spirital lesson that everyone can relate to, a boy and his dog. Who among us did not have a pet that we grew up with and could never quite figure out Fido's thinking? He equates this simple lesson to the malaise in the conciliar church today and why the True Church is in total eclipse. He uses the metaphor of the lampstand to convey the same and that the lampstand is still there, still containing the oil necessary for burning brighter than ever; it merely takes the right one to light the candle. Our prayers and perseverance will help in that cause. Until it's lit again, we'll continue the futile effort to chase after the dog. Griff explains in his column A Spiritual Lesson from My Little Dog, and other Spiritual Meditations
    THE STRAIGHT STUFF
In a "Gems From the Past" piece for this "Double Whammy Week", Griff Ruby applied the lessons conveyed each time anyone boards an airliner when the flight attendant reviews the safety precautions in case of an emergency. He noted that the emphasis is placed on assuring one's own physical faculties before being able to assist someone else and shows the analogy here of this common sense that one cannot help another if one is suffocating. That is exactly what is happening in the Novus Ordo and for those who claim they can "do more good" staying where they are is akin to someone saying "I don't need the oxygen, I can breathe on my own and I'm staying put" as the plane fast loses air pressure. Where will they be when that happens? Exactly where so many in the post-conciliar church are today, lacking oxygen which affects the brain and perhaps that is the answer why they have allowed themselves to be so dumbed-down over the past several decades where they will accept anything without ever challenging the facts and the constituted evangelic traditions that have clearly warned against such dangers. If one wants to gain altitude and level out their spiritual life, Griff's column is an eye-opener to those "comfortable" in their angst. He explains in his pragmatic column A Spiritual Lesson From An Airline Stewardess
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel Garnica weighs in on the recent insanity of "scholarly men" close to the modern Vatican who have expressed sympathy for one of the most wicked men in history - Judas Iscariot, the man who betrayed Christ. But, according to them, we shouldn't consider him thusly for it would be anti-Semitic and intolerant. This political correct madness has gone too far and if Benedict XVI signs off on the latest heresy to crop up in the conciliar church we can only pray for a mass exodus from the false, man-made religion that has done more to pander to Pandora's Box than anything else. It's time to quash the idea of eliminating the horns of Judas and giving him a halo. As Gabriel emphasizes, it's time to emphasize the symbol of this "son of perdition" a pitchfork, 30 pieces of silver and a hangman's knot to drive home the point that satan's enablers are barking up the Judas Tree: The one he hung himself on in despair without remorse or admonition of his sin. In other words, to these "bright" scholars: who is going to tell them that one dying in mortal sin is in hell? Gabriel makes it crystal clear in his column Judas, We Hardly Knew Ye
    Gabriel's Clarion
In a "Gems From the Past" article by Gabriel Garnica for this "Double Whammy Week" we present a column he wrote two years ago on the very same problems that still exist today. Back then he addressed the total illogical reasoning of the relativist who make no sense with their illogical rubbish such as "I am pro-choice, but not pro-abortion," or "I am all for the homosexuals, but not for same sex marriage." Recently this same crazy logic has been applied by pro-abort pro-sodomite 'Catholic' politicians in lashing out at the few bishops who have decided to uphold Catholic doctrine and adhere to the Apostle Paul's infallible words in 1 Corinthians 11: 27, "Wherefore, whoseover shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord." Gabriel pointed out that the reason these excuses are even allowed is because those who should be the guardians of the Faith are moral cowards and unreliable from the pope on down. Basically, as Garnica syllogized, one cannot count on cowards to come through when the chips are down. Political correctness, fashion and fads be damned, there is only one course to follow and that is the path that has been forged by the tried troopers of Truth and Tradition. To veer from that path is most dangerous and will be very, very harmful to one's spiritual health. All the foolish talk about the dangers of using 'communion as a weapon' are nothing but smokescreens to deflect the truth that few bishops are ready to be uncompromising and few politicians are ready to comply with true Catholic doctrine. While they gather up all the fool's gold they can, they pass the priceless treasures of "real gold" at their fingertips. Sad and tragic, especially when it comes time for accounting for their worth. Gabriel explained in his column The Devil's Dilemma!
    Symphony of Suffering
On the feast of the Chair of Peter, Cyndi Cain emphasizes the lesson of the Epiphany and how Holy Mother Church in her wisdom illustrates the importance of the feast near the beginning of the liturgical year, a necessity on the quest for the salvation. Throughout the centuries the tradition of this feast has perfectly sequed from Christmastide to preparation for the life and lesson of our Lord. Just as our Lord was tempted at the outset of His public life, so also are we who strive to be faithful today. Just as Christ prepared for 30 years for three years of public life, we must not be impatient to accomplish so much so soon. We should be willing to learn and know our Faith, to cherish it for what it is and share it freely. Because of Free Will we can choose between Peril or the Pearl of Great Price - a Priceless Treasure. Only a dolt or fool would choose the former. Yet there are so many who do not recognize the priceless treasure they have in their Faith and will cast these pearls to swine by accepting the horrific, sacrilegious Novus Ordo while ignoring, even demeaning the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven; that which best honors the Holy Trinity: the infrangible Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Cyndi explains in her column The Pearl of Priceless Treasure
    Symphony of Suffering
In bringing you a "Gems From the Past" as part of our "Double Whammy Week" we reach back four years to pull out of archives a probing column Cyndi wrote in 2001 after we had spent one year studying and discovering how the conciliar church had so duped the faithful into believing it was still Catholic while abandoning the truths and traditions that had always sustained and identified Holy Mother Church. Cyndi asks her readers if they recall the Catholic culture they were weaned on. She asks all to remember and ask, with her, where have these customs gone. Why? Why have we allowed so much of our treasured traditions to be obliterated? She tweaks your memories and consciences to refuse the fare being fed by the false shepherds today and demand the true Faith. No dogma, no dollars! It's the only way to rid the rascals who have infected the Mystical Bride of Christ. She explains in her "Gems From the Past" column If you remember, you must ask 'Why?'!
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
We are delighted to welcome back Catharine Lamb after a lengthy hiatus. She has been sitting back, viewing all that has happened over the past year from her perch in her own control tower and, through the eyes of grace, can see not only the total lack of sanctity in the flight plan laid out by the conciliar church and its leaders, but warns those booked on the flight to ruin to cancel their flight plans right now and book a sure flight on Tradition Airways. Oh, it will be a rocky ride, no frills, no accumulated mileage points on earth, but the rewards are infinite and it is the only sure way to reach the desired destination of eternal life. She scopes out the itinerary every authentic Catholic must follow if they want to be assured safe passage and know that is the only way to arrive at the heavenly terminal where Peter is ready to welcome weary, but faithful travelers with the words, "well done, good and faithful servant." Catharine points out how the conciliar church, by cutting corners everywhere they could, have jeopardized the everlasting safety of countless millions of souls. Would you really fly with such an airline? Not if you value your eternal salvation and mean the words you say in the Act of Love: "I love my neighbor as myself for love of Thee." She explains in her column Tradition: Real and Ready
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
We bring you a "Gem from the Past" which was featured on these pages exactly two years ago when Catharine Lamb applied the heat lamp to the frozen tundra of the "New Springtime." While Novus Ordo Catholics await the 'promised' 'season of renewal' their hearts grow colder, unable to thaw in the endless winter of discontent that shivers in schism and apostasy. Yet they plod on thinking things will warm up. Oh they will, but unfortunately not here on earth which the New Order focuses so much on, but in the climes of hell which may freeze over to accommodate all the clueless souls who don't realize this "New Springtime" and "Civilization of Love" are a snowball growing larger as it rolls downward towards the abyss as Catharine warned in her column The Novus Ordo and the New Winter
    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Father James F. Wathen, the pioneering traditional author of The Great Sacrilege, begins the New Year with a mission. Despite his illness, he does not hesitate to call a spade a spade in expressing his thoughts on the magnificence and meaning of the hidden life of Jesus Christ and how today's conciliar church has abandoned all He exemplified. Father holds nothing back in describing the anger God feels for those who have allowed His words to be altered, to be misinterpreted, for temporal things to replace the essential salvific truths. For their betrayal perdition awaits as Father candidly explains from the popes on down to the bishops, priests and those 'catholics' blinded by the world, the flesh and the devil. In Christ's Agony in the Garden He foresaw all the sins of mankind. Nothing was hidden from Him and He wept bitterly tears of blood for those who would betray Him in the future, especially those entrusted as shepherds for His holy Church. Woe to them for not abiding by all of Christ's teachings; woe to them who have forgotten the Lord's exemplication of humility carried out in The Hidden Life
    Gabriel's Clarion
Gabriel returns in 2006 with the first of a slew of articles he will be bringing readers on the state of the State and the state of the Church and how so often the twain never meets, for man by his own initiative often chooses to walk away from God. This is the crux of the problem. God remains stationary while we either walk towards Him or away from Him. That is what sin is, walking away from God and going against His divine Will. Thanks to man's fallen nature, such subtle but deadly heresies can easily creep into our culture and poison man's thinking. The Sacrifice of the Cross has been forgotten in favor of skipping to the Resurrection. Over the last half century this is exactly what has happened and goes against all that Christ revealed. Yet, blinded by the devil, man has closed himself off to God, greatly altering the concept of Who God truly is. Instead man, forgetting that God is always open to us but not our sins, pettifogs what His Divine Will is as always expressed through Divine Revelation. Gabriel explains in his column Same Image, Different Perceptions
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Second Sunday After Epiphany, he reminds us of the miracles our Lord and Savior manifested for all to see, originating with the account in today's Gospel of the wedding feast at Cana. He reasserts that the old wine was the Old Covenant which expired with the coming of the Messiah and the new wine created by Christ when He changed water into wine represents the New Covenant. Despite the Zionist influence prevalent today in the conciliar church that the Old Covenant was not abrogated and still in vogue, we know from Catholic truth and the Scriptures that such thinking is heretical for Christ once and for all to abolish the old and establish the new. Thus His first miracle was an everlasting statement still carried out today in the miracle of miracles He left us - the propitiatory Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as Father points out in his sermon in highlighting specifically the words of the beloved disciple John and its perpetual impact on our Catholic Faith. The First of His Signs
    The Sanity of Sanctity
As we reach the midpoint of the month of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, we provide a litany of all of the saints whose feast days are celebrated in the month of January. Many of these saints are little-known and often are not, for that reason, invoked in our prayers. While there are a few Time of Epiphany feria days in this month, almost each day is dedicated to one or more saints historically acknowledged in the traditional calendars. If you add this short litany to your daily Rosary, you will have the benefit of invoking the prayers of some of these lesser-known saints for January and, as the Three Kings bowed in humility, better prepare yourself to keep your spiritual resolutions for 2006. Litany of the January Saints
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Feast of the Circumcision, he points to the conciliar usurpers who are intent on circumcizing the infrangible words of Sacred Scripture by bleeding the doctrines and dogmas of Holy Mother Church and caving to pressure from the Modernist marauders who have created an evolving and confusing structure of Faith that has slipped from the rock-solid foundation they once enjoyed to the sand that will cause the collapse of the false church as has happened to every false religion before. Only one Church will stand and that is the one Christ founded and promised that "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Yet, in the shadow of the scurrilous Henry VIII, two British Isle conciliar prelates are ready to sell the farm and follow in the footsteps of the apostate bishops who abandoned the Church in the 16th century. As usual modern Rome is silent once again, giving their hushed consent to the further wreckovation of the True Faith. But Father points out the magnificence and pure infallibility of the True Mass and the sure words of past reliable Roman Pontiffs and one of the greatest Doctors of the Church. Who are we to follow? The sainted wisdom of popes and saints or the worldly folly of men that could very well not even be bishops? It's a no-brainer to those who truly know and cherish their Faith and we have Sacred Scripture and Tradition - combined they compose Divine Revelation - to illuminate our path. "A Light to my Path"

    Making Sense of Sensus Catholicus
Because of a glitch in our e-mails, we've just received Father James F. Wathen's touching story of Christmas 60 years ago and it is a recollection we should all recall and cherish, preserving the traditions that have, by and large, been shelved by the conciliar church and cast into oblivion. We must hold fast to the Faith and Tradition, and Father gives us all a glimpse of the awe and majesty of a time not too long ago when everything centered on the Lord and the seeds for his vocation were nurtured by his faithful shepherd during a Pontifical High Mass. The Bishop warned him then about the candle. He could get burned. Ever since Fr. Wathen has been warning Catholics everywhere as a loyal priest of how they can get burned if they do not realize and truly know their Faith. In a tribute to Father and gratitude for his knowing the common sense of the Bishop's remark, we have fashioned a graphic above which hopefully will trigger more fond memories of that time for Father during these painful days of his dry martyrdom. Father shares his memories in his nostalgic Christmas piece which, because it occurred in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Owensboro, Kentucky, and because we are putting this on line on the First Martyr's Feast, we present here Father's piece sent to us by Maria Hughes, entitled A Christmas Recollection
    Christmas Message
Keeping with our tradition of bringing you our joint Christmas Message, we present on this Christmas paradox of this night, this Silent Night in which there is so much noise and clatter from the wheat and chaff mucking up hearts and souls today that no one can hear the Silent Night and why it is a Holy Night. Michael and Cyndi express their gratitude to the readers throughout 2005 and may the Light of Christ fill our readers with grace and glad-tidings on this Holy Night and all the year through. May we all strive, with our Lord's help, to be ever more fruitful in His vineyard in waking the echoes of the lukewarm. May we all gain our fuel from the unchangeable, perfect Prayer offered daily on traditional Catholic altars - the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven, the Propitiatory Sacrifice of the Traditional Latin Mass. They share their message in asking Why is the silence so deafening?
    "Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Double of the First Class Solemnity of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, he relates the scriptural promise of the Messias - the longed-for event which comes to a joyful, glorious and majestic awe-filled crescendo with the Incarnation of the Word in today's Masses and which is recalled with love and devotion at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass when, on the creche of the paten and chalice, Christ is "born" anew in our hearts at the miraculous words of the Canon with the Transubstantiation and Major Elevation. Just as He first appeared in the humble hovel of a cold barn, today He continues to welcome us by taking abode in the cold, human hearts of those who are repentant through the graces of the Sacrament of Penance and, like the shepherds on that Holy Night, approach the God-man with fear and trembling at this Awe-struck Divine Mystery. Yet there are those in the world who want to deny this omnipotence, to de-deify the Triune Divinity and make gods of themselves because of their itchy ears who, because they will not believe in something so magnificent and vital, will fall for anything. They, sadly, are unaware of the power of this night and the awesome miracle performed every day of the year through The Mystery of His Presence
    Twelve Days of Christmas
Today through January 5th we countdown the 12 Days of Christmas. While the commercial world crassly stuffs the Christmas decorations on the back shelf until next year and forgets the true meaning of Christmas, Holy Mother Church celebrates Christmastide leading to the Feast of the Epiphany. In days of olde England and the French Revolution when the song 12 Days of Christmas represented a secret code, if you will, of the basic catechism for each day represents an article of the Apostle's Creed. As customary this time of the year, we present the meaning of this with 12 Days of Christmas
    Traditional Thoughts
It's become an annual staple for several years that we bring you a special traditional take on Clement Moore's popular poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' in parodying the conciliar church and the ridiculous, tragic and outrageous wreckovation of Holy Mother Church that has occurred over the past 40-plus years. With apologies to Mr. Moore, this was first penned in 2001 by M.C. Siena. We revive it this year but not for our Christmas issue. We have published a record number of issues this year and this year we are spreading various contributing writers' Christmas articles throughout several articles. Therefore we are running this in our Christmas Eve issue since tomorrow's issue will serve exclusively as The Daily Catholic's Christmas Card to our readers replete with Fr. Louis Campbell's Christmas sermon. The message in this parody should hit home and rouse countless Catholics from their long winter's night sleep. So, supposedly the mice are not stirring but let's hope hearts will be stirred into stopping the madness and the clutter as you'll see in 'Twas the Night of the Clutter!.

For those who truly want to delve deeper into what the Faith teaches and what past Sovereign Pontiffs have decreed, we recommend for your vital reading to better KNOW THE FAITH in order to KEEP THE FAITH, pertinent Papal decrees which put to the lie what is being promulgated today by the Vatican II church. We strongly encourage you to read these to understand how today the modern church is in Apostasy when compared to what had always been taught by Holy Mother Church and enforced and warned as most grievous by previous Pontiffs as you'll see in CREDO & CULTURE
