Now I solemnly tell you that as the great wave of spiritual darkness descends upon the earth, so shall sufferings increase. Countless souls shall be saved by the gift of suffering.
My dear children, do not grow cold. Now is the moment of warmth for all God's children because His Mercy and Graces are abundant. By His Almighty Power He permits me to come among my little ones, to guide them securely during the time of chaos and darkness.
I solemnly tell you that I shall increase my visits among my little ones throughout the world according to the degree of your humility and love.
Come to me, my little ones, for I am Mother of God, Mother of all God's children, not by my merits, but by He Who Infinite Goodness.
Dear chidden, because He is Infinite Goodness He cannot allow the power of evil which rampages the earth to go unpunished.
Convert your hearts now, dear children. Receive unto yourself the tender joy of perfect obedience as His servants, for in obedience are you heirs of His Kingdom.
The moment approaches, dear children, when the earth, first purged and purified, shall witness the glorious return of my Divine Son. That blessed moment, known from all eternity, is upon you. I come to awaken my children, to proclaim the Second Advent. Please hear me, my children. Do not remain idle and cold, but seek the fire of Love from on High.
Proclaim the Kingdom by living my Divine Son's Doctrine every day, and praying for the grace of the Holy Spirit to unify all in one mind and one heart. If you fail to attain this unity, great shall be your sorrow and tribulation as the reign of the antichrist comes.
Pray! Pray much. Pray from your heart and let Heavenly Wisdom overshadow you. Only then will you see clearly the signs before you, prophesied from all ages.
I am with you but you must make haste. Be simple and humble, lovingly obedient and God shall keep you carefully in His arms.
I bless you. I give you God's peace. Thank you for responding to my Call!
Look at the Infant Jesus, King of Kings and Savior of the world. He chose to be born in poverty, to live in poverty, that God's magnificence might be glorified to all men. God came as a babe, innocent, unrecognized, impoverished; yet all creation adored the Son of God.
I ask all my children to contemplate this most Sacred Mystery, the Incarnate Word brought forth from my virginal womb, to redeem men that they might be sons of God as He desired. O! With what Love He came! O! With what Love He purchased you from sin and death--at the cost of His own life.
Imitate the angels and sing His praises: "Glory to God and on earth peace to men of good will." This is very important, my children. It is in your will that Faith lives, Hope blooms and Love ignites a whole world into unity.
I beseech all to pray unceasingly for unity of mind and heart through the Grace of the Holy Spirit. There must and will come unity as God ordains. But its price, dear children, can only come through much purification of the sinful world. Pray! Pray! Pray that the great chastisement shall be mitigated. I solemnly tell you the days shall unfold and each shall bring upon the world tribulations and chaos of every kind, for man turns deaf ears and hearts of stone to God's Truth. Man scoffs at my messages and persecutes my little ones.
Dear children, you must convert your hearts now for the moment when the great apostasy shall draw the final line between Truth and Deceit, between good and evil has begun . This apostasy has begun and daily grows stronger. Its moment will dawn when the words of my holy, blessed son Pope John Paul II shall be heard no more.
Tarry no longer. Convert. Look only at my dear Divine Son, and embrace with loving obedience His Most Holy Cross. Live a life of abandonment and trust, and divest yourselves of the tainted world. Great shall be your peace in the terrible times if you pray, fast, convert, sacrifice willingly, receive the Sacraments and become reconciled. All of this is faith, which begs the Almighty God to come quickly to rescue His little ones.
I remain among you yet a while longer as a Loving Mother. I am the Mother of God. I announce the Second Advent. I point out the door, the very Heart of my Son, Who is the Entrance to Eternal Life.
Believe and do not remain cold and proud. Put aside all human presumptions and learn from the Holy Spirit in your heart. Love! Love! Love as my Jesus loved, and you will be enlightened according to your need.
I love and bless you. Thank you for responding to my Call!

Nevertheless, Vatican officials involved in dialogue with the Jewish world are looking forward to an unprecedented meeting at the Vatican, scheduled for next week (March 23-26) of the International Jewish Commission on Inter-religious Consultation). Church officials suggest that the meeting might offer new opportunities to clarify statements and clear up misunderstandings, perhaps leading to the promulgation of some joint declaration.
In an interview with the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Father Remi Hoeckman-- the secretary for the commission which produced the document-- expressed what seemed to be a widely held belief at the Vatican. "We are not unhappy with the reactions," he said. "Those Jews who read the text with an open heart appreciated it. Others, led by bad information or bad intentions, returned to the old polemics."
One important official, Father Georges Cottier, went further. While emphasizing that he was speaking only for himself, the Theologian to the Pontifical Household described his own reaction to the Jewish response as "bitter." He continued: "To reduce the document to the question of Pius XII is to lose sight of what represents the center point of the text: the firm condemnation of the Holocaust."
The Vatican document defended the record of Pope Pius XII during the Holocaust-- a fact which provoked sharply negative comments from some Jewish leaders, especially in Italy. But Father Cottier argued that the criticisms of Pius XII are "without any foundation." He insisted: "They are calumnies because we know how much that pope did to save so many Jewish lives."
Father Hoeckman underlined that message, pointing out that many Jewish leaders of the same epoch had praised Pius XII for his efforts to protect Jews. Father Hoeckman insisted that the focus on Pius XII was exactly the sort of polemical debate which the new document sought to avoid. He pointed out that criticism of Pope Pius XII began in earnest only after the appearance of the play The Deputy, by Rolf Hocchuth, in 1963; thus an act of fiction created a "black legend" which overcame the evidence of history and the testimony of Jewish leaders who were on the scene at the time.
Meanwhile, in Paris, French far-right party leader Jean Marie Le Pen on Wednesday rejected a new Vatican document that acknowledged the complicity of some Catholics in the work of the Holocaust during World War II.
Le Pen said the issue of the responsibility of some Christians for the death of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of others in concentration camps was "the Pope's problem." "I don't feel any blame and therefore I have no need to repent," he said. Le Pen has been accused anti-Semitism and xenophobia for his political stance against foreigners in France. In January, a Paris magistrate ordered an investigation into Le Pen's comments that the concentration camps are "a mere detail" of history. If found guilty of "disputing crimes against humanity," he could be fined and face up to a year in jail.
The letter was issued as Filipinos began celebrating the centennial of independence, and also called on them to continue to struggle for the principles of revolution: ending poverty, injustice, and inequality. "We apologize for the ambiguous stand some church people held during the revolution," the statement said. Spanish friars dominated the clergy during the Spanish colonial era, and many worked with colonial authorities in suppressing the revolutionary movement. Some Filipinos were able to join the priesthood, but often were the subject of suspicion by friars.
Three priests who promoted independence were executed by the Spaniards after being framed for helping a mutineer in 1872. The three -- Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgoz, and Jacinto Zamora -- became martyrs in the anti-colonial struggle that led to a declaration of independence from Spain in 1898. The same year, Spain ceded the Philippines to the United States after the Spanish-American War.
Speaking in English to a community of Nigerians who traveled to Rome to participate in his weekly public audience, the Holy Father said that he was looking forward to his trip, and the first beatification of a native Nigerian.
Meanwhile in an interview on Vatican Radio yesterday Cardinal Francis Arinze-- the president of the Pontifical Council for Inter- Religious Dialogue, and a native of Nigeria-- reported that Catholicism is "booming" in his homeland. There are now 15 to 20 million Catholics in the country of 100 million, he said, and said that the explosive growth of the Church there in the past five years has been "something which has never been seen before in the history of evangelization in our country."
Cardinal Arinze, who was for 20 years the bishop of Onitsha, was personally acquainted with Father Michael Tansi-- who took the name Cyprian when he became a Trappist monk. Born in 1903 and ordained to the priesthood in 1937, Tansi opened two parishes, and was (according to Cardinal Arinze) "a pastor full of zeal." In fact, his preaching was so powerful that the cardinal remembers some of Tansi's homilies today-- 50 years after he heard them. After ten years as a priest he entered the Trappist monastery, where he lived until his death in 1964.
