Catholic PewPOINT
Editor Michael Cain enumerates the technical problems that hit on Christmas Eve and have been at the crux of only now being able to present a new issue. He points out how setbacks can often be blessings in disguise as he explains and asks some serious questions, questions asked by most of the contributing writers below as well. More or less, the conclusion he arrives at is that
Less is More!.
Traditional Insight: PART FIVE Mario Derksen continues his five-part series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre." If you have not read the previous four installments, we encourage you to do so below before reading his current installment in which he provides canonical evidence and doctrinal rationale that shows most definitely that the excommunications of Msgr. Lefebvre and the four bishops of the Society of St. Pius X whom he consecrated, cannot stand up to the scrutiny of truth. Not only that, but had His Excellency not gone through with the episcopal consecrations it is quite possible there would be little if any traditional reminders left today in the postconciliar Church's angst to rid Holy Mother Church of all that preceded Vatican II as Mario explains in asking Schism or the Syllogism of Truth?.
PART ONE Mario Derksen began his series on the controversy that surrounds "the illicit Episcopal Ordinations of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre" back in early November. In part one, Mario presented apologetics, based on the Angelic Doctor of the Church, Canon Law and a documented letter from the Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops that prove that before the ordinations on June 30, 1988, there was no excommunication. He showed that the law of salvation supercedes all other laws when placed on the list of priorities and necessities. Thus he set up the undeniable arguments for why Archbishop Lefebvre acted as he did in ordaining four bishops for the Society of St. Pius X. More and more as the truth comes forward countless Catholics are beginning to look differently at the SSPX. They are not the 'raging schismatics' they've been portratyed to be by the post-conciliarists. Mario laid out the syllogisms in the first part of his series with Refuting Claims of Excommunication Before June 30, 1988.
PART TWO
In part two, Mario presented factors that occurred in May of 1988 as he begins to lay the groundwork for the background that will show there was No Schism or Excommunication On or Immediately After June 30, 1988. He showed how the archbishop, after cooperating fully in signing a Protocol Agreement with Rome, was then coerced by Vatican operatives to sign a letter which varied greatly from what had priorly been agreed upon in dialogue with Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. This Lefebvre could not sign. Mario referenced why in the archbishop's own words which he conveyed to his priests in Paris at St. Nicolas du Chardonnet after signing the original general Protocol Agreement. But this document was only a prelude to the shenanigans and doublespeak Rome would perform in cornering the one man who knew something was terribly wrong. This mechanization by Rome was, as Mario explained the ol' Bait and Switch!.
PART THREE
In part three, Mario presented canonical arguments to better illustrate there was No Schism or Excommunication On or Immediately After June 30, 1988. He analyzed, via the Excommunication Decree issued by Cardinal Gantin, what canons apply from the 1983 Code of Canon Law and syllogized how a simple latae sententiae has been misinterpreted so much so that when one tries to target logical reasons for the excommunication one gets caught in Canon Backfire!
PART FOUR
In part four, Mario presented arguments to prove that canonically both in the 1917 Code and the 1983 there was a state of necessity - a dire emergency - for the Archbishop's actions and therefore His Excellency did not even violate the letter of canon law since the salvation of souls always takes top priority in all aspects of spiritual care as Mario equated in Salvation of souls is the paramount necessity!

Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei
Bishop Bernard Fellay, the General Superior of the Society of St. Pius X, weighs in with the latest news on the on-going on and off talks with modern Rome. Yes, the Society is interested if modern Rome accepts the Truths and Traditions of the past 1900 years; No, if they insist on pushing the Vatican II agenda and expect that the SSPX would ever abandon the ideals of the Saints, Doctors and Popes of the past - all ideals upheld by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre for the greater glory and honor of God - for the necessary salvation of souls. His Excellency shares the latest in his letter Our Relations With Rome.
"Qui legit, intelligat"
In Father Louis Campbell's sermon for the Third Sunday After Epiphany he does't mince words. Nor should he because as the statistics have shown, as the barren fruits have proven, something is definitely wrong, very wrong throughout the contemporary Church. Would any of the pre-Vatican II Roman Pontiffs have recognized what has been passed off as Catholicism over the past three decades? The answer is a resounding NO! Would most of the pre-Vatican II Roman Pontiffs have done something to correct the situation, even to declare as anathema what has been postulated since Vatican II? The answer again is a resounding YES! And there is also another reason. Christ Himself declared that "the children of the kingdom shall be cast into the exterior darkness.". Father asks if the highest authority on earth is not subject to the absolute authority of God? His affirmation in Matthew 8 affirm that but by the actions and inactions of John Paul II one is left to be gravely concerned as Father Louis explains in The Weeping and Gnashing of Teeth
Shears and Tears of a Lamb Catharine discusses how Pat Buchanan, a Traditional Catholic of national prominence, analyzes the fruits of Vatican II by getting down to the simple numbers. No matter how the Vaticantwoarians might crunch the numbers, what has been pushed on the faithful for the past 40 years doesn't add up. It has only divided, multiplying the errors and subtracting graces. Was this 'collateral damage' all calculated? Catharine asks which is more important: the salvation of souls or perpetuating the legacies of the Vatican II popes? One wonders. She explains in her article Statistics: The Real Price.
"Feed My sheep"
Dr. Edward Ciaccio has made the decision to speak out about making decisions. The decisions he's referring to are not just everyday ones, but those which will determine our eternal salvation or damnation. Unless we wake up soon, we won't have the opportunity to make a decision. Wouldn't it be terrible if we depended only on others' decisions when we meet our Maker at our Particular Judgment? That is what the vast majority of civilization is doing today both in the world and the Church, especially the Church where the malaise is far
greater, far more severe because of what is at stake as Ed illustrates in his column Decisions, Decisions!
The Germs of G.I.R.M. In this issue we bring you part sixty-three of Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey's well-received, thought-provoking series on G.I.R.M. warfare as he continues analyzing and commenting on the ambiguity and errors in the General Instruction of the Roman Missal Tom focuses on paragraphs 187 through 198 which treats, for the most part, the role of the acolyte - the altar servers - which, as Dr. Droleskey points out, have been so obfiscated that no one really knows what is an acolyte. In the innovative novelty world of the Novus Ordo it has become a whacky world of and for acolytes as he explains in Acolytes and whAco-lites!
On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimarães, a foremost authority on the causes and effects of Vatican II and at the forefront in identifying the charades being proffered by the bishops and curia, exposes the revolution, providing proof that we must all truly stand with the Church Militant On the BattleLine. For his latest viewpoint from the trenches, see his intuitive piece on a possible, very possible "Smoking Gun" that reaches all the way to the Apostolic Palace in his Bird's Eye View: The Papal Letter
Echoes of True Catholicism

One of the more respected experts on medieval history and Catholic culture, Dr. Marian Therese Horvat shares a finding that precedes the founding of this country. In these times paganism seeks to suffocate all that has been established including, first and foremost, the Catholic Faith first brought to America by the Spanish and Portuguese missionaries. The inspiring statue of Our Lady of Conquerors - La Conquistadora stands as a reminder to the revisionists of the power of the Mother of God - the conquest of non-Christians through the boodless victory and why America is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. For the background and story of the oldest venerated statue of Our Lady in the U.S. see Marian's article La Conquistadora
White Smoke, Black Fire!
This work of fiction, presented in installment form, replicates the reality of today in many ways. It deals with the devastating effects of the revolution and the antichrist's attempts to wrest control from within the Vatican after a global catastrophic event. God raises up unlikely heroes in times like this, even just a few. It is those few who've been entrusted with saving the Church and the world. By themselves they can do nothing, but with God all things are possible. Truly a miracle is needed for the situation looks impossible as the Legion of the Basilisk advances toward the bitter end. This is an on-going on-line novel that as of December 31, 2002 had reached the half-way point of the entire book. In this issue we begin Part IV titled - The Shrouding. In Chapter Ten we discover a little more information on the weakened Pontiff who clings to life in a dank room in the northwest turret of Castel Sant'Angelo while Fr. Niki Andriopoulos and Dr. Makuta Ogidi track a clue to the nefarious Legion, which takes them from Rome to the Paloma Estate Hills above the eternal city in Part IV, Chapter Ten, Episode One.

"By their fruits you shall know them"
Articles that clearly show the difference between good fruits and bad fruits and the fact a good tree cannot bear bad fruit. The Fatima File
This series follows the consequences to the world and Russia for the failure to faithfully follow Our Lady's specific messages at Fatima.
