The Sham that shames us all!
In this weekend's editorial we continue in the vein of the pertinent prophecies given to Father Don Stefano Gobbi, but this week we deal with a little known fact about how close we are to the "mark of the beast." When we compare what has been foretold in Sacred Scripture and private revelation with what is actually happening today both in the disregard for morals and insidious, clandestine plans by the Federal Government, we can see all is coming to fulfillment. "The time is here and my Heart shall Triumph."
Those words from the Blessed Mother Mary on July 6, 1992 mirror what she conveyed to Father Gobbi as you'll see by reading Messages 202, 203 and 204. They were imparted to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart, and we continue to bring you these messages on a daily basis. Our Lady urges all to take refuge in her Immaculate Heart and Divine Son's Sacred Heart for that is the only safe place in the face of the rampant immorality and lies permeating our headlines, not to mention the apostasy which face us all squarely in the face today. HEADLINES:
When is a Catholic University not Catholic? When it is Detroit Mercy!
In a tradition that dates back for centuries the University of Detroit is making a travesty out of a solemn occasion - the annual Red Mass in which attorneys and jurists pledge to uphold Catholic doctrine - by inviting a well-publicized pro-abortion Supreme Court Michigan judge to be a speaker. Despite protests and boycotts by the organization Call to Holiness of which Mother Angelica and Father Joseph Fession, S.J. are prominent members, their pleas are falling on the deaf ears of the stubborn liberal president of the University Sister Maureen Fay. Meanwhile, in Jayhawkville at the U of Kansas violence erupted between Jewish activists and pro-life demonstrators this past week. For more, click on no mercy at Detroit Mercy
Oxford Scholar affirm Christ's tomb within Church of the Holy Sepulchre is authentic
Affirming the authenticity of the stone walls and tomb-stones that mark the tomb of Jesus in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, a reputed Oxford professor, after a ten-year study, was able to deduct that the time frame coincides exactly with the time of Christ, thus confirming that it truly is the site where Our Lord was buried and rose again on the third day. The decade long study is crucial in determining what form of reinforcements are used to restore the tomb. For more, click on Tomb of Christ
Holy Father tabs Cardinal Kuharic as Special Papal Envoy for Croatian celebrations and Papal Visit
In honor of the events in Croatia next week and the Holy Father's visit there, Pope John Paul II named Cardinal Franjo Kuharic who has served as head of the Archdiocese of Zagreb, to serve as Papal Envoy during the papal trip and to preside at many of the ceremonies including the special beatification of Cardinal Stepinac and commemoration of the thirteen hundred year anniversary of the first diocese of Croatia in Sibenik. Horrendous acts of violation of Indian nuns casts a pall over India
Word that four nuns from the Diocese of Isidore in India were raped was met with indignation, dismay and anger for it is suspected the assault was by anti-Catholics who have been sanctioned by higher-ups within the local government which has been waging a bitter campaign against Christians. No matter the political scene, there is no excuse for such an act and the Bishop has called for retribution and apprehension of the hoodlums who perpetrated this atrocity. September 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message
Dear children! Today, I call you to become my witnesses by living the faith of your fathers. Little children, you seek signs and messages and do not see that, with every morning sunrise, God calls you to convert and to return to the way of truth and salvation. You speak much, little children, but you
work little on your conversion. That is why, convert and start to live my messages, not with your words but with your life. In this way, little children, you will have the strength to decide for the true conversion of the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call For more on Medjugorje, click on MEDJUGORJE
The cry of not being heard in the confessional strikes a void in trying to maintain the Symphony of Suffering
In this weekend's issue the Cyndi Cain treats the growing problem among many faithful in not having enough time for Confessions, not just the stifled one hour which is supposed to cram in all the parishioners once a week, but the mindset of many confessors inside the confessional who seem to have forgotten the real essence of the Sacrament and the purpose of Reconciliation. It's not just for mortal sins. For her eighteenth sonata entitled The Symphony of Suffering is hollow without the true essence of the Sacrament of Reconciliation Click on SYMPHONY OF SUFFERING
For all men, including the president, Reconciliation requires retribution as well as contrition with attrition, attitude and attribution
In her column this week, Sister Mary Lucy Astuto points out how, as the shamelessness of Bill Clinton's shame unravels before the nation in shambles we can't be swayed by those who say "let's just forget it and go on" for that would make an anarchy out of every form of punishment or checks and measures system we have. Sister affirms that we forgive as God asks, but all who are sinners - which includes all of us - must atone for our sins either now...or later. PRAYER & DEVOTIONS
This weekend's prayer is taken from the Opening Prayer of the Mass honoring the Martyrs Saint Cosmas and Saint Damian. For the third, fourth and fifth days of the Novena to Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, click on NOVENA:
Lord, we honor the memory of Saints Cosmas and Damian. Accept our grateful praise for raising them to eternal glory and for giving us Your Fatherly care.
We also honor Saint Vincent de Paul on Sunday with the Preface to the Mass honoring him even though his feast is superceded by the Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time:
We do well always and everywhere to give You thanks and praise on this feast of St. Vincent de Paul. You called him to dedicate himself totally to the service of the poor, in imitation of Your Divine Son; in him, filled with zeal for the spread of Your kingdom, You have given us an example and model of apostolic zeal, so that we also, with the power of Your Spirit and inflamed with Your love, would expend our energies and our entire life in working for the salvation of the poor, through Christ our Lord.
PROVERB OF THE DAY
"From a man's greed comes his shame; rather be a poor man than a liar." Proverbs 19: 22
