Medjugorje Monthly Message

Countdown to the Millennium

Medjugorje Monthly Message for September 25th
The Gospa's message for September
Dear children! Today, I call you to become my witnesses by living the faith of your fathers. Little children, you seek signs and messages and do not see that, with every morning sunrise, God calls you to convert and to return to the way of truth and salvation. You speak much, little children, but you work little on your conversion. That is why, convert and start to live my messages, not with your words but with your life. In this way, little children, you will have the strength to decide for the true conversion of the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call

Yes, Virginia, there is a Purgatory!

The seat of Christianity - the seat of our salvation: Rome and St. Peter's Basilica       In preparation for All Saints Day and All Souls Day in less than two weeks we begin a three-part series on IN COMMUNION WITH THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS with an explanation of the cycle of the Communion of Saints. There are many who try to debunk the concept of Purgatory just as there are those who don't believe in the existence of hell. Padre Pio said it best for those who don't believe such a place exists: "You'll know it's true when you get there!" But as members of the Church Militant we still have the chance to right things here so we can either bypass Purgatory all together or spend as little time as possible there before graduating to the summa cum laude of eternity! For the Eighty-first installment of this on-going megaseries, click on WHERE IS HOLY MOTHER CHURCH HEADING AS WE NEAR THE MILLENNIUM?.

"Far too many respond only with their lips, allowing their hearts to become silent tombs."
Queen of Prophets      Those are the words from the Blessed Mother Mary in message 245 to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart, which we bring you today and which, for one of the few times during the year coincides with the same time of year six years ago. Our Lady in both messages assures us no matter how steep our Calvary is, she will be there with us just as she was there for her Divine Son Jesus but we have to pray with the heart and keep our mouths closed and our ears open. Knights make yeoman contribution to Vatican restoration
Atrium of St. Peter's and other facades to be restoredKnights of Columbus contribute greatly to project      We now have discovered that the fruits of the meeting between Supreme Knight Virgil Dechant from New Haven, Connecticut and the Holy Father on the feast of Saint Teresa of Avila are bearing a great harvest of dividends for the restoration process of the Vatican, specifically the Atrium at St. Peter's which entails the entrance and the massive "Holy Door" which will be open for the Jubilee 2000 year. That is the projected date for completion of all the restoration currently underway from the wall of scaffolding covering the front of St. Peter's Basilica to other projects and sculptures. It's nice to get all this done, but it takes money to accomplish it and that's where the Knights of Columbus have pledged to pay for the work on the Atrium as well as the arch of bells and other arches. Dechant, representing 1.6 million brother Knights, called it, "concrete testimony of the spiritual loyalty and devotion of the Knights towards the Church, the Holy Father, and the Magisterium." Persecution continues in Vietnam as four members of the Congregation of Coredemptrix arrested by Communists
Vietnam priests detained by Communists      The main reason the Vietnamese Congregation of the Coredemptrix Mother was founded and moved to its headquarters at Our Lady of the Ozarks Seminary in Carthage, Missouri - which was given to them by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in the seventies - was because of the persecution of the Church in Vietnam. Nothing is changed as four priests from the order have been arrested and falsely accused. The Order maintains that despite the rhetoric the persecutions continue by the Communist-led government. Like China, this is a sham that shames the world. For more, click on Vendetta in Vietnam .

Holy See takes the podium at the UN to tweak its conscience
Vatican tweaks conscience of the UN     Somebody has to tweak the conscience of the world's largest body of countries, especially in light of the "culture of death" road they are traveling and there is no better authority to wake them up than the Holy See who dispatched Archbishop Renato Martino to address the Fifth sesson of the general assembly entreating them to disband all nuclear weapons and to demobilize the use of children in the role of soldiers no matter the cause which often is one forged by greedy leaders who are using the youth for exploitation purposes. The Bishop cited the UN's own figures to back up the Vatican's claims and beseeched all to honor the dignity of the human being in all stages of life. For more, click on Vaya con Vatican .

Congress stiffens in the face of UN threats, refuses to relent on pro-life stance
Congress ignores threats of UN over dues and votes       Despite the threats of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan the United States Congress refused to be intimidated and removed twenty million from the budget that was earmarked for the UN Population Fund because the simple majority in the House and Senate are pro-life, despite the pro-death immoral regime in the White House of Bill Clinton. But to Clinton the commitment to the "culture of death" has blinded him to common sense and only God knows what price he will have to pay when the great judgment comes. Thank God there are enough Senators and Congressmen to offset this puppet of the devil. For more, click on Three cheers for Congress.

Today's prayer is in honor of the poor souls in Purgatory. When one prays this prayer from the heart countless souls are released from Purgatory at God's will. It is an excellent way as members of the Church Militant to fulfill our role in the Communion of Saints:

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son Jesus in union with all the Masses said throughout the world today; for the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, in my home and in my family. Amen.
