Medjugorje Monthly Message for May 25th
Dear children! Today I call you, through prayer and sacrifice, to prepare
yourselves for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Little children, this is a time of grace and so, again, I call
you to decide for God the Creator. Allow Him to transform and change you. May your heart be
prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little
children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call. For more on Medjugorje, click on MEDJUGORJE

We know who you would choose among the most influential of the 20th century. But who would your children choose?
The answer to that question is the crux of our problems today that begin in the family, spread to the community, and like a huge carbunkle, infect all of society. The saturation of the Simpsons and South Park and all those others spawned from this inanimate animation is a serious malady that has affected our youth today. In today's editorial we present the first of a two-parter on this dulling disease on the souls of so many of our youth today. For the commentary "What's wrong with this picture?!?" part one, click on Thursday's CATHOLIC PewPOINT.
Loyalty is the key!
Today, in our mega series on the Church today, we begin a multi-part series on "Loyalty" to the Church and to the Magisterium, specifically to the Supreme Pontiff who is just months away from twenty full years as Pope. In following up THE VICAR OF CHRIST series where John Paul II asserted that loyalty to the Church was paramount to loyalty to Jesus Christ we detail what loyalty truly means and how we can help enact it in our fellow Catholics as we near the millennium. For the first part on Loyalty, click on WHERE IS HOLY MOTHER CHURCH HEADING AS WE NEAR THE MILLENNIUM?
Our Lady warns of the false glitter that blinds us to the truth and dulls our loyalty to her Divine Son and His Vicar on earth.
The essence of the Blessed Mother's 155th and 156th messages to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart, which we bring you today, is to consecrate ourselves to her Divine Son's Sacred Heart and her Immaculate Heart for she warns us to beware of the worldly temptations which prevent us from truly seeing the glory that lies ahead. She promises that it will come, and soon, but we must be prepared else we will be engulfed by the smoke of satan. Click on "I SOLEMNLY TELL YOU..."

HEADLINES:
Vatican unfairly accused of aiding Nazis
Once again, without a shread of proof, the Holy See is perceived as guilty by assumption because of a United States report that infers the Vatican took part in helping a Croatian faction escape detection. And once again Pope Pius XII is maligned as the culprit. What is it recently about the witch hunt that has gone after this quiet pope of the 40's and 50's who did all in his power to preserve life? First the Jews call for his head, now American paper pushers are drumming up false claims against him. For more, click on unfairly accused
Pedophilia plagues the Church as it raises its ugly head again
Less than a year after a jury ruled against the Diocese of Dallas, awarding a record 119.5 million dollars to victims abused by Rudy Kos, the Archdiocese of Boston has just forked over large sums to victims of sexual abuse by a priest who has been removed. At the same time in Florida, the bishop of Palm Beach has admitted sexual abuse and resigned from his see. None of this helps the image of the Church but only adds to the Catholic bashing. For more, click on Abuse.
Orthodox Church rejecting Roman Catholic overtures toward the Ukraine, tell the Pope: Stay home!
Continuing to sandbag the Roman Catholic Church in the former Sovient Union, the latest volley was launched by the Russian Orthodox and the Ukrainian government who accused the Church of trying to muscle in and expand in an area their not welcome. Despite efforts of Cardinal Angelo Sodano, in Kiev to try to establish diplomatic ties and pave the way for the Pope's eventual visit, most leaders have expressed dismay at the Holy Father's plans and say it won't work. East Timor bishop calls for reconciliation!
The bishop of heavily Catholic East Timor called for his nation to put aside their differences and forgive past transgressions and move on. Rather than condemning the recently deposed Suharto, he called for those who were part of Suharto's regime to also resign for the bishop said they were the crux of the problem, not just one man. With the support of the Indonesian Council of Human Rights, the bishop is outspoken in allowing East Timor to plot their own future without being under the yoke of Muslim-populated Indonesia and Suharto's puppet President Habibe.
