EchoStar to continue 24 hour programming of EWTNMother Angelica's EWTN Network getting short end by Dish Network - photo from EWTN No Foolin!
It's True!
EWTN to stay 24 hours on Dish Network!
We have confirmation from EchoStar, the parent company for the DISH Network, that their previous plans of paring back EWTN to 12 hours a day have been scrapped because of the "overwhelming response" to their offices by concerned viewers. Therefore, they have come to the corporate decision to keep programming EWTN on a single channel without forcing it to share with America's Voice which had been the original plan. It is another proof of God's Mercy and evidence prayer and petition can accomplish anything. Even though this is April Fool's Day, it is no joke what satan wants to do and this news is yet another defeat for that biggest joker of all!

The real fools!
We identify who the real fools are in today's editorial and they are those who do not heed Christ's command to "sin no more" as He told the woman accused of prostitution in John 8: 11. It was this passage which President Clinton heard while attending a traditional Mass in South Africa this past Sunday and in our commentary we call on the chief executive to "come clean" and then go and "sin no more." We equate America's response to the father who received his prodigal son back into the fold. But he and Hillary are not going to win any plaudits, but rather brickbats for purposely shaming Catholics by disregarding the sacred truths of the Eucharist by receiving Holy Communion at Holy Mass this past Sunday "because everyone else did." That's foolish! For our editorial On April Fool's Day the biggest fools are those who don't heed God's Laws!, click on today's CATHOLIC PewPOINT

The visionaries of Garabandal have been told of the Warning and the MiracleIt would be foolish not to heed the Warning or believe in the Miracle!

Apparitions of Garabandal: The Warning                    Our eighth segment on our treatment of the Apparitions at Garabandal gets to the heart of these apparitions from the early to mid sixties: the Warning and the Miracle promised by Our Lady in this Spanish mountain village while the Second Vatican Council was going on in Rome. The Warning will be an "illumination of our souls" where we will see ourselves - each and every one of us - as God truly sees us. The promised Miracle, which will follow the Warning will be a great sign of God's Love and Mercy and definitive proof of His existence. The biggest fools were those who mocked and placed the crown of thorns on Christ!
Father, into Thy hands I commend My Spirit [graphic by Chris Curd]       Spat upon, whipped to near obliteration, Christ maintained His composure and goals in the face of the fools who taunted Him with mocking, satanic references to His kingship. If only they had known His kingdom was not of this world. But they were fools! When they placed the crude, rough, sharp thorns on His tender skull didn't they realize the immense torture they were inflicting on an innocent man? Perhaps they did, but then again - they were fools! In part four of Meditative Lesson 10: THE SCOURGING AND CROWNING WITH THORNS we feel with Jesus the utter pain and scorn He is subjected to by these ultimate fools. These Meditative Lessons were imparted by Our Lord and Our Lady to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart during Lent of 1993, and are meant to inspire and prompt a greater understanding of the season of Lent in helping us all prepare for His Passion and Death, and ultimately the glorious Resurrection. Medjugorje
Monthly Message for
March 25th

Mt. Krizivec    Dear children! Also today I call you to fasting and renunciation. Little children, renounce that which hinders you from being closer to Jesus. In a special way I call you: Pray, because only through prayer will you be able to overcome your will and discover the will of God even in the smallest things. By your daily life, little children, you will become an example and witness that you live for Jesus or against Him and His will. Little children, I desire that you become apostles of love. By loving, little children, it will be recognized that you are mine. Thank you for having responded to my call.

Holy Father's trip to Austria still on trackAustria where the Holy Father is still expected to visit this summer
Retired Austrian Cardinal's problems won't prevent Pope from visiting Austria
Despite reports surfacing that the Holy Father was planning on postponing his trip to Austria in June because of the molesting allegations against the former cardinal of Vienna Cardinal Hans Hermann Groer whom current Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn has asked to retire from all duties, the Vatican was adamant Pope John Paul II's trip to Vienna and other parts of Austria is still on schedule. The accusations against Groer are still under investigation by the Holy See and there has been unrest throughout Austria since the allegations became public, but the Pope is undaunted in calming the waters of rebellion and mistrust.
