With joy we gather round the Crib; filled with His warmth, despite the cold; secure, in His love, despite the instability of the world. It is in the gift of a tiny Babe that we rejoice, no matter the noise and clatter of a society entangled in mistletoe, ribbons and pretty colored paper.
As the end of another year approaches, I am reminded of the many blessings I have received through the Traditional Roman Rite of the Mass. To grow in holiness and virtue, to be challenged to live a Godly life, to be allowed to worship God in an atmosphere of humility and deep reverence; to be able to partake of the sacraments as handed down through the centuries; these are gifts whose value I can barely grasp.
I am especially indebted to The Daily Catholic for providing me with much needed information, challenging articles, and blunt truth, making my transition from Novus Ordo to authentic Catholicism less traumatic. I also wish to thank my readers who have found some solace and support from my articles on a difficult journey. I pray that our Lord will give us all the courage to stand for what is right and true.
May the miracle of the Incarnation bring you peace, wonder and hope this Christmas Season. It is my prayer that all readers of The Daily Catholic be blessed, and may those seeking the Truth find Him. Come, Lord Jesus!
In Christ, the real and only Reason for the season.
