beautiful, scenic SW Missouri Branson Lakes area.
    Catholic PewPOINT
The crazy, hazy, lazy days of summer have created a hazy creed and lazy mindset that not only allow but now legislate pagan practices that defy logic and assure the further deterioration of the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church; this by those intent on destruction of all that is Catholic. Rather than every knee shall bend, the new direction is to stand in defiance of the Lord. When will the craziness end?! Editor Michael Cain shows that the exodus from true Catholicism will only get more insane. It's time to rally Catholics to fight the abuses as he encourages in Yes, it's been a crazy summer, but what the bishops are demanding is insane!!
    Traditional Insights
Mario Derksen continues his series on The Humanism of John Paul II with his 12th installment. In this issue he continues with Part Five on the death penalty. Mario points out how absolutes have become "shoulds" and "wishes" rather than commands. In this methodology truths are twisted to reflect political correctness rather than solid catechetical teaching - absolutes that leave no room for compromise or relativism. Mario unlocks the bars of confusion in On Death and Life (V).
    "Feed My sheep"
A year after 9-11 America is not stronger, but more wimpy than ever. No matter what Hollywood fabricates or the media initiates, heroes are a charade today - cardboard characters swaying in the fickle winds of the whims of society. What we need are those not afraid to exhibit Heroic Virtue! The only ones that come to mind are not those on the big screen but on holy cards and in the archives of the Church Triumphant. We need to emulate the saints, not the sinners who refuse to strive to be saints. Dr. Ciaccio provides the causes and effects of the decline in his column, The Wimpification of America
Shears and Tears of a Lamb
Throughout a summer of spin and sacharine remarks from the bishops and many in the clergy, Catharine Lamb is beside herself that more Catholics aren't storming the chanceries and rectories demanding the truth not only in regards to conduct and accountability, but especially in respect to the Gospel, which is being diluted so much that Catholicity is no longer recognizable. Yet so many continue down that path of blind obedience without a clue that they are being led away from the Church not closer to it. She shakes the thunders in her column Reason vs. Compromise.
     Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei
In this issue we bring you a candid, comprehensive compendium by the head of the Society of Saint Pius X, Bishop Bernard Fellay who has been on the front lines of all talks with Rome. He identifies the problems encountered by the posturing of the Ecclesia Dei commission and why Modernist Rome has no intention of cooperating with the efforts to maintain the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church as they had been taught faithfully up to Vatican II. As you read the four parts in this issue you, too, will realize the charade that has been going on for so many years and how those whom we previously had pinned our hope on to resolve the problems, really don't have a clue. You'll understand better the scenario in the four-part talk His Excellency gave in Kansas City earlier this year and provided by the TradList. We have titled it: The Masonic Madness, Mayhem and Manipulation of Modernist Rome .
    White Smoke, Black Fire!
A new day dawns in Rome in the third episode of Chapter Eight in Part III - "The Shadowing." While Pat endures a sonambulent coma-like nightmare, Vic worries in Dallas, Blix anticipates victory for the Legion, Cardinal Zachmunn downplays his papabile prospects, Sister Bridie labors within the Vatican in preparing quarters for the conclave, and Riage Benziger struggles with trying to regain his strength in the cold climes of Castle Sant'Angelo where a comotose Pontiff is failing fast in Episode Three.
The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart
We continue the excellent work by Father Joseph McDonnell, S.J.. Catholic Family News has given us permission to reprint following their publishing of it. It is a beautiful meditation and commentary that should encourage more devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we continue with Part Fifteen - The Ninth Promise - "I Will Bless the Homes in which the Image of My Heart Shall Be Exposed and Honored."
    The Great Sacrilege
In this issue we complete the book by Father James F. Wathen, O.S.J.who has granted permission to publish his entire work which was first published by Tan Books in 1972, and which we urge you to read for everything he wrote back then is backed by the solid depositum fidei - the Sacred Deposit of the Faith and still holds true. It takes up where the Ottaviani Intervention left off as you'll see in reading the three appendiges in his Conclusion.
"By their fruits you shall know them"
Republished with permission from an article in the Seattle Catholic, Erven Park points out that perverts could in no way proliferate the way they have without the responsible prelates making it possible! He shows where the buck must stop at the top. Unfortunately rather than taking accountability, the bishops are passing the buck like it's a hot potato as he explains in The Real Crux of the Church's Crisis
Because the financial status of The DAILY CATHOLIC is now critical and the publication is on lifeline for its very survival, we turn to you for transfusions in keeping this Traditonal organ alive. Your donations will make the difference on whether The DAILY CATHOLIC lives or dies. The ministry will continue, but the vehicle that has been responsible for many conversions cannot make it without prayer and your help. If you agree that we need to preserve the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church, then in all good conscience you must help. We cannot do it alone. The DAILY CATHOLIC is on Emergency Lifeline!
    On the BattleLine
Atila Sinke Guimar„es, a foremost authority on the causes and effects of Vatican II and at the forefront in identifying the charades being proffered by the bishops and curia, points out how progressives might see recent events as progress, but true Roman Catholics should recognize it as edging closer to the precipice of total apostasy which he first exposed in April regarding the heretical compromise with the Jews where conversion is no longer paramount to the hierarchy. He explains in his column Dangerous Liaisons.
    Christ or chaos
Strike or no strike, after 40 years of enjoying America's past time, Dr. Tom Droleskey, aka the "Lone Ranger," has determined that the time has come to bid adieu to the grand old game and its participants at the major league level; for sadly the rot being promoted has come to the surface for all to see and it is as ugly as sin and should be evident to every Catholic. He explains in his column Out of the Old Ball Game!
    Echoes of True Catholicism
One of the more respected experts on medieval history and Catholic culture, Dr. Marian Therese Horvat illustrates how the gradual decay of decency in dress and language has contributed to the malaise within the Church over the past forty years because the revolution has a method to its madness and those who long for decency need to realize how egalitarianism has wiped out proper speech and modesty with vulgarity in all aspects of society. Marian delineates in her column "Language is the dress of thought."
    Pro Life Prescriptions
Dr. Frank Joseph, a Catholic physician and long one of the leading crusaders for the Sanctity of Life, calls for a reality check in pointing out that women (read: feminists) need more rights like unborn children need more Democrats in the Senate. He points out the illogical premises that CEDAW bases its arguments on which proves not only do men have no rights, but the entire feminist movement is a double standard intent on detroying life. He explains in his column in which he asks Is it time to fumigate the feminists?
John Vennari, author and editor of Catholic Family News provides a succinct and thorough review, first published in CFN in August, of the blockbuster book THE GREAT FACADE: Vatican II and the Regime of Novelty in the Roman Catholic Church by Christopher Ferrara and Dr. Thomas Woods, Jr. These Traditional authors provide more ammunition for Traditionalists in convincing conservative Catholics of the sham being perpetrated on the faithful. It's a book that must be shared with every neo-Catholic as John points out in his review, The Regime of Novelty Decimated
    Doctors of the Church
The twelvth Doctor of the Church in this series was only one of two Popes to be given such an honor; both were called "Great." This first of the two is the only Vicar of Christ to convene two major ecumenical councils. Considered the "Codifier of Orthodoxy", he is best remembered as the "Defender of Rome" for it was this holy man who fearlessly met Attila the Hun at the gates of Rome and, through the grace of God, convinced the Scourge of God to retreat. Such was the fifth century spiritual giant Pope Saint Leo the Great.
Republished with permission from an article in the August issue of The Remnant, Christopher Ferrara shows where a slip of the lip speaks volumes of what Catholics are being mesmerized into believing. Truly inculturation and tolerance are seaping into every aspect of the liturgy and tenets of the Faith. He pinpoints the numerous faux pas in his excellent and eye-opening article The Liturgy of the World
The latest fiasco by Baltimore's Cardinal William Keeler magnifies the problem of confusion within the Church in communicating to the faithful. Gary L. Morella, a dedicated layman and frequent contributor to this column as well as one of the foremost Catholic "watchdogs" for assuring that orthodoxy is upheld, weighs in on what True Catholicism has always taught about upholding the truths of Sacred Scripture. It is necessary to debunk the latest heresy that the Jews no longer need to be converted as you'll see in his column Whatever Happened to the Need for Conversion?
Appreciating the Precious Gift of our Faith
In this issue we continue with our catechesis series from My Catholic Faith focusing still on indulgences, this time defining the difference between Plenary Indulgences and Partial Indulgences, the conditions for gaining them and who can grant them. This is all outlined in Grant of Indulgences.
    Simply Sheen
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen points out that God doesn't need us, we need Him. Yet, in His infinite love and mercy, He encourages us to praise and love Him so that we will realize the great prize that awaits those who keep Him foremost in every fiber of our being. The more we give, the greater the return for God takes care of His Own. Bishop Sheen shares his own experiences and others in Purposeful Prayer is Perpetual .
    Liturgy of the Saints
This issue covers the feasts, commemorations and observances of the time from September 2 the feast of Saint Stephen, King of Hungary to the feast of Saint Jerome, Priest and Doctor of the Church on September 30th. This time after Pentecost includes the Feasts of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Matthew, and Dedication of Saint Michael the Archangel in Liturgy of the Saints for September.
