Safeguarding the Sacred Deposit of the Faith
"The holy, ecumenical and general Synod of Trent lawfully assembled in the Holy Ghost with the same legates of the Apostolic See presiding, has decreed that the faith and doctrine concerning the great mystery of the Eucharist in the holy Catholic Church, complete and perfect in every way, should be retained and, after errors and heresies have been repudiated, should be preserved as of old in its purity; concerning this doctrine, since it is the true and the only sacrifice."
Council of Trent Session XXII, 937a, September 17, 1562
WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED THIS PAST WEEK:
Echoes of True Catholicism
Thursday Dr. Marian Horvat will pointed out that Lent means fast, but for modern Catholics fast means 'fast-food' and therein she sees the difference in modern thinking as she illustrates how the flag of stability waved warmly over sit-down family meals which equated more with Catholic culture. However, today's fast-food fetish where one can pick and choose whatever they want equates to Protestantism where moving from one thing to another fits more with the ideology of those who have no roots as she explained in her column Fast-Food is Protestant!
Precious Gift of our Faith Thursday we continued a beautiful catechetical apologetic series taken from The Glories and Triumphs of the Catholic Church on the true meaning of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. After reading it, you'll clamor for the return of the Mass of All Ages for only in the Tridentine Rite is its fullness realized - as it was always intended and why the Council of Trent and the First Vatican Council in their infallible wisdom settled on this most perfect propitiatory sacrifice to uniquely and purposely represent every aspect of Christ as we presented a summarized outline of The Perfect Plan of the Mass
The Great Sacrilege Father James F. Wathen, O.S.J. has granted permission to publish his entire work first published by Tan Books in 1972. We urge you to read this worked, backed by the solid depositum fidei - the Sacred Deposit of the Faith. It takes up where the Ottaviani Intervention left off as you'll see in Thursday's issue when Father continues to get down to the serious violations perpetrated on the faithful, explaining in Part Eleven of Chapter Four the second part over the issue of Validity and Liceity
"Feed My sheep"
In Wednesday's issue, we began a two-part treatise on what Traditional Roman Catholicism is all about. Actually it is the very same thing every Catholic professed to be before Vatican II divided so many. We illustrated how things have become so topsy-turvy that the greatest sin in the post-conciliar Church has become to not embrace social justice; other sins, grave sins, such as a complete disregard for prayer, Mass attendance, the Sacraments, or sexual impropriety, are frequently given a secondary emphasis.
This is pointed out in part one of What is Traditional Roman Catholicism?
Pro Life Prescriptions
Wednesday Dr. Frank Joseph identified the problem with why obscene productions are repeated at numerous so-called Catholic colleges, why they condone dances for sodomites and why abortion continues unabated while so-called Catholic politicians and bishops with no backbone or true sense of Catholic truth continue status quo. He calls them what they are: CINNERS which rhymes with SINNERS! Dr. Frank explained in his uncompromising column titled The Great Scandal
Exspectans exspectavimus Ecclesia Dei
Bishop Richard Williamson lamented the fall of the Campos Traditionalists in a candid comment about the agreement between Modern Rome and the Priestly Fraternity of Saint John Marie Vianney. He pointed out the repercussions they will eventually face in compromising principle and Catholic truth for the 'privilege' of being recognized by Modern Rome and agreeing to a cease fire in asserting the Truths and Traditions that were suppressed by the reforms of Vatican II. While on the surface reunion with Rome might seem idyllic, in truth it is a surrender, a betrayal of the man who fought so hard and long to preserve the True Faith in Campos - Bishop Castro de Mayer - as Bishop Williamson explained in Campos has fallen
Simply Sheen For Lent Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen continued to talk about suffering and the reasons why God allows it. He used the example of the bad and the good thief who died with Christ on Golgotha. The Bishop pointed out how one deals his pain with bitterness, the other offers it up in retribution for his and other sins, asking only for mercy. The Bishop explained in One thief's soul was stolen; the other stole into Paradise .
Traditional Thoughts Tuesday we brought you an excellent article by Peter Miller, editor of www.Seattle Catholic.com on the lack of belief in the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. It is no riddle and very evident why such heresy is so rampant. The Bishops know as well, but they don't seem to be in a hurry to correct it. The only answer is to return to the tried and true Mass of All Ages - the Tridentine Mass. The fact they refuse to do so, even at the expense of so many souls speaks volumes as to their intent as Peter explained in The Eucharistic Heresy of Modern Catholics .
FOCUS
In Tuesday's issue we focused on part two of a two-part interview with the Church's chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth who did not mince words in describing the situation today in the Church, acknowledging that satan has indeed penetrated the Holy See. Though Fr. Amorth pointed out in a candid conversation first published in 30 Days last June that Christ has assured us"the gates of hell shall not prevail against it", the devil is trying and for Fr. Amorth and others conferred with the very grave responsibility of performing exorcism often times their own hands are being tied, another sign that satan is truly active within the Church as you saw in a very candid and revealing interview conducted by Stefano Maria Paci in part two of The smoke of satan in the house of the Lord
White Smoke, Black Fire! In episode two of Chapter Seven in Part II - "The Smoldering" - we see the dark side of the Basilisk, the plotting of principals in the Legion whose pride swells with such insolence and overconfidence in their victories to this point. Now more subterfuge is afoot from Dallas to Rome.
Second Vatican Council
The last of the Ecumenical Councils was, indeed, the most controversial for the ambiguous language of the documents opened a Pandora's Box to allow Church leaders and others to interpret dogma and doctrine in a Protestant light with an emphasis on humanism, ecumenism, religious liberty, and collegiality in an effort to conform to the modern world rather than the world adhering to what the Church had always taught. This year we commemorate the 40th anniversary of this council convened by Pope John XXIII on October 11, 1962 and, despite the latter's pleas to "Stop the Council!", it was carried on by his successor Paul VI for three more years, closing on December 8, 1965 and unleashing, by Paul's own admission, the "Smoke of satan into the sanctuary." Since then errors have spread universally and the Church has been in turmoil. For an overview to the documents see SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL
Catholic PewPOINT
In Monday's issue editor Michael Cain continued his series on the analogy of the Mystical Body of Christ with the sorrowful mysteries as he completes the third sorrowful mystery - the Crowning of Thorns. He equated this ignominous humiliation of the Body of Christ with the Novus Ordo Secolorum" 'Mass' that is eerily closer to the blasphemous Masonic Mass than the Latin Mass. He proved this by exposing the elements of a Masonic Mass so all could see clearly that the New Mass is patterned on a mockery of all that's holy. He intends to shake the thunders of Catholic consciousness by reasserting what Cardinal Ratzinger affirmed with "The New Mass is the Real Destruction of the Roman Rite!"
On the BattleLine
Monday Atila Sinke Guimarães gave documented proof that every Roman Catholic has the responsibility before God to resist the Pope when he is in error. He based this Catholic teaching on great saints and Doctors of the Church like St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Robert Bellarmine, as well as other scholars of the Church. He pointed out how those who rightfully adhere to principle but reject unorthodox authority have been smeared by the brainwashed masses to consider those who resist error as 'outside the Church' when in truth, they are very much in the Church - the True Church. Those who follow heresy? Well, in the past they were called 'Protestants!' Atila set the record straight in his column Catholics have a Duty to Resist the Pope When he is in Error
