High Noon in Big 'D'!

Gary Cooper couldn't save this bunch of renegades in Dallas. Run for the hills, the outlaws have taken over! Duck for cover in the catacomb churches where the True Sacrifice is still intact in the Traditional Latin Mass. It is the only refuge from the vigilantes who wage war on the vigilant of the Church Militant.

Outlaws like Jesse James,, the Dalton Gang, Billy the Kid or Bonnie and Clyde couldn't garner the scope of attention that will be focused on Dallas, Texas on June 13-15th. Even modern sports moguls like Jerry Jones, the NFL kingpin of the Dallas Cowboys - "America's Team" - or self-made mega-millionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, who has single-handedly resurrected a struggling NBA franchise and built his own Taj Mahal to worship men in baggy shorts, could not finance the kind of publicity the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' semi-annual summit will generate.

Because it's a media 'happening' the paparazzi will be there. Unlike their normal subjects, I can just hear their puzzlements as the bishops walk by: "Who's that?" or "Where's he the bishop of?" or other bewildering questions for basically, other than the bishop in their own area and those whose pictures have been plastered on the front pages for bad publicity from the sex abuse scandals - men like Cardinals Bernard Law, Roger Mahony, Edward Egan, Theodore McCarrick, William Keeler, Francis George, Adam Maida and Anthony Bevilacqua, few will know the identity of most of the men in magenta and black. The media will need a program to follow the participants.

Televising certain proceedings of the Conference itself used to be the exclusive domain of EWTN and then only for designated times determined by the Bishops. Not any more. Move over Raymond Arroyo you're going to have company this week - lots of it, as in SRO. Who would have thunk The National Enquirer would ever cover an ecclesiastical conference? But then what good Catholic ever thought 50 years ago that the state of the Church would sink to the lows it is wallowing in today where the head shepherd hasn't got a clue and the rest of the Vatican thinks it's all an overblown triviality? Not according to CNN, Fox News, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC and, possibly Court TV. And that's just the broadcast credentials. Don't forget The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, New York Times, Dallas Morning News, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, and every other newspaper in the USA. Yes, it will be a media circus in the Metropolex as clowns and beasts of the secular species watch the clowns and beasts of the ecclesial breed with no competent ringmaster conducting this three ring debacle. It's a foregone conclusion nothing substantial will be accomplished. Yet the media won't accept that.

How little they know of the post-conciliar Church - the Newchurch which in no way resembles the Roman Catholic Church of 2000 years, the Church founded upon the Rock of Peter (cf. Matthew 16: 18-19). I've just completed the entire June issue of the Catholic World Report which was exclusively devoted to the scandal. I've read several articles from various media on the whole crisis and, despite the Vatican's blind assumption that this has been overblown - as Crisis Magazine editor Deal Hudson verified in a recent article that this is the thinking of the highest echelons inside the Vatican - this is very much a crisis, a very severe and strangling crisis. However, of everything I have read from the non-traditional media - whether Catholic or not - they all miss the point, totally miss the mark - the cause of why the scandal, why the cancer was allowed to fester.

It is so very simple, so crystal clear, and yet the vast majority, not trusting in the Holy Ghost, have chosen to offer their own solutions concocted by the finite when the answers could only come from the Infinite.

Every one of the bishops in attendance at the Fairmont in downtown Dallas has the answer. He has already proclaimed it. The problem is he forgot it, he failed to live up to words he swore on to uphold. It is the Sacred Oath he took at ordination, the Profession of Faith that he has betrayed. Part of the Sacrament of Holy Orders is this Sacred Oath before God:

" I, Name…, believe and profess with firm faith each and every truth which is contained in the Symbol of the Faith of which the Holy Roman Church makes use, namely:" (they then must recite the Nicene Creed).

"I resolutely accept and embrace the traditions of the Apostles and all other traditions of the Church, and all its observances and regulations. Likewise, I accept the Sacred Scriptures in that very sense in which Holy Mother Church, whose right is to declare their true sense and meaning, has held them and hold them now; nor will I ever accept or interpret them in a way contrary to the unanimous agreement of the Fathers (of the Church)."

Yet, how many have violated that by trivializing and dismissing the intrinsically evil practice of homosexuality as not applicable to their oath of upholding what Sacred Scripture says regarding this vile sin? And what of the compromises in the holy scriptures to appease man and other religions by pandering to them rather than being fully allegiant to the Almighty? The Pontifical Biblical Commission's anathema-filled document is a good example of this which contradicts the unanimous agreement of the Fathers of the Church.
"Further, I profess that there are seven true and proper Sacraments of the New Law, each instituted by Jesus Christ Our Lord for the salvation of the human race (although all of them are not necessary for everyone), namely, Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Penance, Extreme Unction, (Holy) Orders and Matrimony; that these confer grace and that, of these Baptism, Confirmation and (Holy) Orders cannot be received a second time without sacrilege. Also, I accept and adhere to the rites of the solemn administration of the aforementioned Sacraments according as they have been accepted and approved by the Catholic Church. I embrace and accept each and every tenet concerning Original Sin and Justification which was defined and declared by the Sacred Council of Trent. I likewise affirm that in the Mass there is offered to God a true, worthy, and expiatory Sacrifice for the living and the dead; and that the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, together with His Soul and Divinity, are really and substantially present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, and that there occurs a change of the total substance of the bread into His Body and of the total substance of the wine into His Blood, which change the Catholic Church calls Transubstantiation. I confess also that Christ, whole and entire, and the true Sacrament are received under either species."
How many bishops or priests, even the Pope refer to the Mass as the expiatory Sacrifice for the living and the dead? Or do they refer to it as the "Eucharistic Celebration" or "Eucharistic Meal" or "Eucharistic Gathering" - words that were never introduced into the lexicon until Vatican II. You'll notice the Oath references obedience to the tenets of Trent. Other than those few in the Remnant Church who are uncompromisingly loyal to Pope Saint Pius V's codification of Trent in his Papal Bull Quo Primum, when was the last time you heard a bishop or priest or even the Pope reference the Sacred and Infallible Council of Trent?

And, if they believed what they professed about the true Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ being received under either species, why have they emphasized the need to present both species to the faithful in a Protestant-thinking manner?

"I firmly hold that there is a Purgatory and that the souls detained there are helped through the prayers of the faithful; similarly, that the saints who reign with Christ are to be venerated and invoked and that they offer their prayers to God for us and, that their relics should be venerated.

"I firmly assert that images of Christ and of the Mother of God ever Virgin, as well as of the other saints, should be possessed and retained and that they should be shown due honor and veneration. Also I affirm that Christ left the power to grant indulgences to the Church and that these are most useful for the salvation of the Christian people. I acknowledge the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Roman Church to be the Mother and Teacher of all Churches, and I vow and swear true obedience to the Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ and the Successor of Blessed Peter, the Prince of the Apostles."

Why then have the bishops, with the assent of the Roman Pontiffs since Vatican II, done just the opposite? Why have they diminished the role of the Communion of Saints in not emphasizing the needs of the Church Suffering? Why have they belittled the mission of the Church Militant which has also lost favor in terminology? Could it be because a vigilant Church Militant would not have let the subterfuge take place and therefore the Church's enemies had to be assured she was lulled into a comatose state of lukewarmness and false sense of stability? Who was responsible for this morose? The hierarchy, the ones who took this Sacred Oath - not the laity. Who was responsible for de-emphasizing the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, more needed in these times than ever before? Who was responsible for eliminating the Prayers after Mass, the Prayer to Saint Michael? Who was responsible for de-emphasizing the veneration of the saints by removing the statues, icons, paintings and stained-glass windows - deconstructing church after church, desecrating these holy houses of God and making them into sterile edifices to please and accommodate man, rather than God? Who claimed these images - even the Tabernacle - were a distraction rather than the central focus? These very men who took the Sacred Oath and betrayed it. So much for their promise that these important sacramentals should be "possessed and retained and that they should be shown due honor and veneration."

And what of the vow that they acknowledge the True Church to be the "Mother and Teacher of all Churches"? Their pandering to Protestant and infidels betrays this as well. On top of all this we have:

"Moreover, I maintain and profess, without doubting, all the other teachings handed down, defined, and declared in the Sacred Canons by the Ecumenical Councils, especially by the Most Holy Council of Trent and by the (First) Ecumenical Vatican Council, particularly that of the Primacy of the Infallible Magisterium of the Roman Pontiff; and at the same time I condemn, reject, and anathematize all opinions to the contrary and all heresies whatever which the Church condemns, rejects, and anathematizes."
Can anyone tell me with a straight face that the bishops, cardinals and even the Pope have condemned, rejected, and anathematized all opinions to the contrary and all heresies? If they can, then tell me what the aberration of Assisi was? What about the politically correct apologies for causes the saints died for? Was 2000 years of Catholicism in vain? What about the embracing of ideas that were condemned by the Fathers of the Church, by Councils, by Saints and Popes? If it were anathema then, it is still anathema today. Yet, we see the veil of such anathemas in many Vatican II documents, in Ut Unum Sint and in the Pontifical Biblical Commission's Document on the Jews. We see the heresy of ecumenism openly promoted and elevated to the importance that infallible doctrines of the Church are given. We have seen an emphasis in humanism that was roundly condemned by all Pontiffs prior to John XXIII.

Verily, Vatican II opened a pandora's box of opinions contrary to what the Church always condemned, rejected and anathematized. Should we be surprised then that heresy is rampant in the post-conciliar Church today and so few recognize it? That is because those who took the Sacred Oath betrayed God, betrayed the trust of those who had placed their trust in them. And we're supposed to trust these men to do right in Dallas? Puhlease! These are the same men who vowed:

"I…, promise, vow, and swear that, with God's help, I shall most constantly hold and profess this true Catholic faith, outside which no one can be saved and which I now freely profess and truly hold. With the help of God, I shall profess it whole and unblemished to my dying breath; and, to the best of my ability, I shall see to it that my subjects and those entrusted to me by virtue of my office hold it, teach it, and preach it. So help me God and His holy Gospels."
Indeed, these are the same men who promised, vowed, and swore before God to constantly hold and profess this true Catholic faith, the same men - be they bishop, cardinal or even the Pope who defy the dogma of outside the Church there is no salvation by courting and compromising with false religions, promoting people who spew heresy, who scandalize by their actions and inactions. And these are the men we're placing our trust in to right the wrongs? Sorry, but we're barking up the wrong tree!

It all goes back to the bitter fruits of Vatican II. No one seems to realize the fulfillment of Our Lord's words in Matthew 7: 17-20,

"By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes off thorns, or figs off thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the bad tree bringeth forth bad fruit. A good tree cannot yield bad fruit, neither can a bad tree yield good fruit. Every tree that yieldeth not good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them."
That says it all. Yet everyone seems to be relying on these bad fruits to make good fruit. That is impossible for these bad fruits - and that can be taken anyway you want it to be under the sordid circumstances of their meeting and the fact they have, to this point, left out any reference to homosexuality in their discipline measure proposal - sprouted from the bad tree of Vatican II. To stake your hope on this kind of fruit is akin to having the ice-making monopoly on the Titanic. In other words, folks, it won't mean a thing. It's all puff, all ineffective bandaids that can't cure the deadly cancer that surges through the Mystical Body of Christ.

Cardinal Mahony, true to form, rather than showing true contrition, has hired a PR firm - a notorious one at that, one which has spun all kinds of yarns for the Hollywood Filth Industry to promote the world, the flesh and the devil - to bail the Los Angeles Archdiocese out of the ignominy they're in? Why? Because his image is tarnished is one, but the chief reason is because he's afraid the faithful will stop giving hard-earned money to pay off his abomination of a temple he has built on Temple Street in downtown LA. The new cathedral is the epitome of Newchurch, all form and no substance. And this is repeated - this no substance - in every diocese in the US of A. And we're supposed to trust these men? Again I ask, why should we? There is not one good reason to, and 178 reasons not to. If they profess the bitter fruits of Vatican II, then you know, as Christ surely affirms, that they are destined to be cast into the fire. Are you sure you want to play with fire?

Editorial cartoons around the country are taking potshots at the bishops and they are not without truth. Even cartoonists Jeff Millar and Bill Hinds got into the act. These creators of the comic strip Tank McNamara hit on what's really at the heart of it. In the three panel strip for May 29th the first was a headshot of a cleric closely resembling Mahony, saying "When Letterman and Leno make jokes about Notre Dame recruiting 10-year olds for the athletic program, you know the dialogue over the Church's current...difficulty has gotten completely unfair." Spoken in true Vatican II-ease. The second panel shows this cleric at a conference table with the head of a PR firm (which would be Sitrick and Company). The cleric says, "Your company comes highly recommended as a, a..." The slick PR wizard completes the cleric's thoughts, "The doctor of diversion, the arch-surgeon of spin. Hey, we're proud of it, your Eminence. Rock on." That locked it that Millar and Hinds were referring to Mahony. The third and final panel nails it. Mahony - erh, the cleric - asks, "What can the Church do to reduce this criticism?" The PR guy answers it so well, "Well, you could always stop doing that stuff. But if stopping it was on the table, you wouldn't be in my office, would you?" How true, how true. More evidence that all the bishops are interested is image and damage control, not the welfare of souls. Surely not the stuff shepherds should be made of.

So what is the solution you ask? Cling to the Remnant Church, to those who have taken the Sacred Oath and have kept it. How will you know? "By their fruits you shall know them."

If it is no secret that this is a grave scandal to the Church, why are so many bishops still in denial, even Cardinals, even the Pope? Why have numerous orthodox Catholic reporters returned from Rome convinced that the Vatican doesn't have a clue how serious this is? Could it be that they're just in a state of denial as if this couldn't possibly be as bad as the media has made it out to be? Or could they be in denial because they don't want deep, dark secrets to come out? And who are these caretakers of the clandestine? The very same ones who have pushed ecumenism, humanism and so many other 'isms' except Traditionalism, the very same ones who cling to the dying vines of the bitter fruits of Vatican II.

Yes, they are dying off, but in their wake they have left the stains of their sins in the appointments of those spawned from the bad tree. From catechesis to the liturgy more and more has been purged of the True Faith, the tenets these prelates vowed to uphold. Liars all. Perjurers before God. These men are more interested in self-satisfaction than self-sacrifice. Saint John Vianneys they are not. Their cure for what ails their ratings and image is not what the Cure of Ars would prescribe, but then what the Almighty ordains is not what the fallen angels, what lucifer directs. Proof positive again that the Bishops, Cardinals and even the Pope are not serving God as He wills. The syllogism therefore is Our Lord's words in Luke 16: 13, "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to the one, and despise the other; you cannot serve God and mammon." Prior to this passage Jesus, in the parable of the unjust steward, says "Give an account of thy stewardship; for now thou canst be steward no longer" (Luke 16: 2).

Further in that same passage in Luke 16: 8, Christ refers to the fact that the world is more savvy to the ways of deceit and how well those who embrace sin jell with the "children of this world" who are far "wiser in their generation than the children of light." So also the priests, bishops, cardinals and, yes, even the Pope who seek to placate the children of this world and eschew the wisdom of the Truths and Traditions echoed by the "children of the light" today. And what is to become of this generation of the "children of the world"? Our Lord and Savior bids them be prepared in Luke 16: 9, "And I say to you: Make to yourselves friends of mammon of iniquity, that when you shall fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings." And what will the world do to these followers of iniquity, no matter how holy they posit themselves? It will chew them up and spit them out. That is the lure and curse of sin.

In the next verse Jesus points out why we should not trust the bishops, cardinals or even the Pope: "He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in that which is greater; And he that is unjust in that which is little, is unjust also in that which is greater." Those who were attentive to prayer and virtue in their preparatory days before ordination, took all precautions to avoid the near occasions of sin after they became priests and shied away from dangerous opinions, making great efforts to put on the armor of God as Saint Paul instructs in Ephesians 6: 10-17 so that sin would not penetrate the protective shell of grace. Conversely those who were lax in their seminary days of preparation, were lax after ordination, allowing differing opinions to take precedent over solid Catholic dogma and doctrine and, slowly but surely, erode the beliefs they first embraced.

The Apostle Paul in Chapter 5: 5-13, entreats:"For know ye this, and understand, that no fornicator, nor unclean, or covetous person, which is a serving of idols, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ, and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief. Be ye not, therefore, partakers with them. For you were heretofore darkness, but not light in the Lord. Walk ye as children of the light: For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth; proving what is acceptable to God; And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For the things that are done by them in secret, it is shameful even to mention. But all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light; for all that is made manifest is light."

Hide though they try, deceive though they do, cover-up for the sins of others as they do, lie through their teeth as they do, the actions and inactions of priests, bishops, cardinals and, yes, even the Pope, will be revealed by the light of Truth. We must follow what Paul admonishes and reprove those who continue to cover-up the sins of the shepherds at all levels. From top to bottom or the lowest echelons of the hierarchy to the highest this cannot continue.

Our Lord reinforces this in Luke 14: 34-35, "Salt is good. But if the salt shall lose its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither profitable for the land, nor the dunghill, but shall be cast out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Do we really hear Christ's charge? If we are counting on those who have already long lost their savor, then we are not listening to Our Lord or His True Church. Indeed, we have been warned over and over and over again and still, like a sucker right out of the days of Barnum & Bailey or the proverbial bride left at the altar for the umpteenth time, we fall for the broken promises over and over and over again. No more. These men who refuse to repent, refuse to hold themselves accountable, have lost their savor, they have lost sight of the Savior. They - be they priest, bishop, archbishop, cardinal or even the Pope - have identified with and embraced the children of this world. By their action and inaction they show clearly they serve mammon. No man can serve two masters.

Ergo, the great majority of these wolves in shepherds' clothing have fallen from grace. They are not even worthy of the dunghill as Jesus describes. They are not even worthy of providing fertilizer for the fields of Northern Texas. High Noon is coming this week to Big 'D'. Gary Cooper couldn't save this bunch of renegades! Run for the hills, the outlaws have taken over! Better yet, circle the wagons around the underground Remnant Church. Duck for cover in the catacomb churches where the True Sacrifice is still intact in the Traditional Latin Mass. It is the only refuge from the vigilantes who wage war on the vigilant of the Church Militant.

We are reminded of the prophetic words of Ezechiel which speak of God's Justice when He will strike "Soon now I will pour out My fury upon you and spend My anger upon you; I will judge you according to your conduct and lay upon you the consequences of all your abominations. I will not look upon you with pity nor have mercy; I will deal with you according to your conduct, and the consequences of your abominations shall be in your midst; then shall you know that it is I, the Lord, Who strike" (Ezechiel 7: 8-9). In Chapter 8 the prophet speaks of the vision of the abomination in the Temple, which in these times represents the Novus Ordo and is followed by Chapter 9 which foretells the slaughter of the idoloters and all those that are not marked with the mark of the cross (the Thau on the foreheads of the children of the light when all seems lost).

There is so much that is yet to be revealed as to the meaning of these scriptures, so much that makes more sense each day as each piece of the puzzle falls into place. It is something for those who are "children of this world" to dread greatly for it portends to the end. For those with Faith, those who have not sold out to the Newchurch formed from Vatican II, it is a cleansing, a purification that will bring to light the purpose of God's will for the "children of the light"; it is the beginning. That is the difference between darkness and light, between despair and hope. When all seems lost, God will work His miracles. When, only He knows. You can bet there won't be any miracles coming out of the showdown in Dallas. The answer then is prayer and vigilance. Prayer is the best way to cut the casualties of souls; the best way to avoid being taken hostage by Newchurch promises. It's time for the showdown. Put on the armor of God. For the prancers and pouncers in red and magenta, for the post-conciliar Church the time is nigh - for it's High Noon in Big 'D'!
