In the Glory of the Triune Divinity, St. Joseph has gathered together yet another trio of saints, as we listen in on the fifth discussion from these Heavenly personnel who will lend their advice, counsel, and positive insight into the present day woes of Holy Mother Church. Let us join them.
Saint Joseph: Joining us today as we continue our discussions regarding the Church Militant are our special guests:
-
Saint Gabriel the Archangel, the exalted archangel who God chose to be His messenger in announcing the coming of the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Saint Francis of Assisi, the holy founder of the Order of Friars Minor who literally rebuilt the Church as Christ had requested.
- And Saint Francis de Sales, founder of the Visitandines, Doctor of the Church and patron saint of the Catholic press.
Thank you for coming to this round-table discussion. How greatly does the Triune Divinity love the faithful on earth, and more importantly the One True Faith established by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, I would like us to speak on the topic: How to rebuild the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Faith through a renewal of the Church Militant.
Saint Francis de Sales: A very good topic, and one which we all can speak to, for in our lives we, too, were zealous for the One True Faith. The Good Lord awakened in me at a very early age a desire for the religious life, but also for missionary work as part of the Counter-Reformation. Oh, how many great saints did God raise up during this time of crisis to the One True Faith.
Saint Francis of Assisi: In my lifetime, I was called by God to "rebuild His Church." As you know, at first I understood this command literally, and began to rebuild the Portiuncula which is now contained within the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels in Assisi. How eagerly did I accept this task from Our Lord, for the glory of the Triune Divinity, and the preservation of the One True Faith.
Saint Gabriel: Indeed, from the beginning of Creation the One True Faith was promised in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So many of the faithful today have lost the proper meaning of the Church Militant, as the present Magisterium continues on the road of ecumenism, not espousing the One True Faith, but diluting this precious gift of the One True Faith for the sake of a human ideal of liberty, equality, and fraternity among all peoples of all faiths. All in Heaven intercede unceasingly for a renewal, a rebuilding of the One True Faith as Jesus Christ established it in His Church, of which there is but One, and that is the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Faith.
St. Joseph: This is definitely a time of crisis for the Faith. All of Heaven is aware of the tremendous struggle that is waged now by satan against the One True Faith. It seems clear that many of lucifer's wiles have entered the sanctuary of the Church, and has even affected the thinking and clarity of the Faith among the hierarchy. Why do you think this has occurred after nearly two millenniums of sound Dogma, Doctrine, Teaching and Tradition being taught by the Vicars of Christ?
St. Gabriel: As a messenger of God, I am enlightened to know how cleverly satan works, and I have seen clearly how this 'new' church of Christ has been diluted into a protestant movement for the sake of a one-world peace - a one-world religion. This is devastating. Many believe that
The Roman Catholic Church began when Vatican Council II closed. The past millennium of the solid teachings and traditions of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic church have been denounced by liberal, progressivist theologians who are really philosophers and do not bear the right to teach.
St. Francis de Sales: It is a fact that the very nature of the Church Militant, and particularly its call to convert the peoples of the earth into the One True Faith has been given a stamp of 'unnecessary' for the sake of returning those outside the True Faith into the sheepfold of the Good Shepherd.
St. Joseph: What, then, are we who are in Heaven going to do to assist the weakened Church, and the struggling Church Militant?
St. Gabriel: First of all, the faithful must realize the Church Militant is very much alive. It has always been called to convert the nations. Yet today it has been turned into a social services conglomerate which bends over backwards to kiss the separated brethren who are in schism, who still hold to pagan ideals. In effect , while reconciliation and forgiveness are important attributes and noble virtues, when done for the purpose it is being done, it only brings Holy Mother Church to her knees and puddy in the hands of the fallen angel's legions.
St. Francis of Assisi: Over the decades and centuries, renegade theologians and philosophers have assailed Holy Mother Church. Much of the Sacred Deposit of Faith has been lost, and is continuing to be lost at a rapid pace, because the 'enlightened' men of these years have determined that they must be the ones to bring about a global fraternity in which all pagan and schismatic churches are tolerated, even having many of their principles injected into the One True Faith. It is time for a rebuilding. That is certain. I suggest that we bring to bear on the minds and hearts of the faithful, a lively return to the study of the saints. All here in Heaven struggled against false ideals, false teachings, yet God called us to go and convert the heathens. We must seek, through our intercession, to bring about this rebuilding of the Faith through Prayer, Conversion of Heart, Sacrifice, and Penance.
St. Gabriel: You are correct. However, there have been forty years now of unsound doctrine passed off as solid doctrine. I believe our first call in our intercession must be to bring about a return to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, rather than a 'Eucharistic Celebration,' which encompasses all that Martin Luther demanded when he broke from the True Faith. I am particularly astounded at the ease with which satan moves into the True Faith and slowly but silently brings about a revolution, a rebellion in so short a period of time. We are dealing now with generations who have no concept of the nature of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
St. Joseph: And, I might add, have lost the beauty of the Latin language - the official language of the Church for 2000 years.
St. Francis de Sales: I suggest that the faithful take up arms, put on the armor of God, through a thorough study of the Faith, and a reintroduction to the sound writings which were penned by many saints. I, myself, under the impetus of the Holy Spirit, with zeal in my heart to convert fallen away brethren, wrote both Introduction to the Devout Life, and Treatise On Love of God. In this way many of the faithful will be reawakened and made ready for the battle that satan wages against Holy Mother Church.
St. Gabriel: The human mind and will are such volatile things. As an archangel, I can truly attest to man's ever-changing will when faced with real battle. I would suggest that the faithful renew their devotions, and always making sure that the 'Mass' they attend is truly a Mass. I would suggest to them that they must rediscover the beauty and awe of that moment when I was sent by the Triune Divinity to speak to Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, mother of all of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His children.
St. Francis of Assisi: How gracious God has been to preserve my home of Assisi as it was in my own age. Those of true Faith recognize at once, upon visiting Assisi that God remains there, can be found there. The Franciscans, whom I founded, try to keep guard over the Basilicas, but many there are swept up in this new ecumenism. In this hallowed place of Assisi, I have watched in horror as Ecumenical Meetings have taken place on the very place where my mortal remains were buried. I have felt in my spirit the assault that satan has made upon all of the hallowed places on earth when false ecumenical meetings and Congresses are held, not to uphold the One True Faith, but rather to stoop low from her Lofty Perch as the One True Faith, to embrace the many spirits that exist in the other faiths. Is it any wonder the earth rumbled and tremored so in this region I held so precious to my heart?
St. Joseph: Yes, a need must be presented to the minds and hearts of the faithful to return to true piety, a sincere desire to learn from the lives of the saints, the many writings of the Doctors of the Church, and an upwelling of a sincere heart that focuses clearly upon the tenets of the One True Faith, which do not change as the whims and fancies of man change from one generation to the next.
St. Gabriel: From all eternity the Triune Divinity knew of the necessity for a plan of salvation for the true heirs of the Kingdom of God. As I was sent to announce the good news of the Savior to Mary, I foresaw many of the heresies Holy Mother Church would endure for the sake of the One Truth. Now, in these times, men's hearts have become lax, lukewarm, and 'comfortable' as they go to a church which resembles not a Cross, but rather a theater. This so hurts the Sacred Heart of our Savior. We must speak to the people, and bring them back to their solid roots. Just as the prophets of old foretold the coming of the Savior, I, when speaking to Mary, knew that at the moment of her total fiat to God the birth of the One True Faith was begun.
St. Joseph: A very good point, our beloved archangel Gabriel. While history tells of the birthday of the Church being the First Pentecost, from all eternity the Triune Divinity knew of the salvific call to redeem the fallen human race through the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. My beloved chaste and ever-virgin spouse, Mary Most Holy, bore the Son of God in her immaculate womb for nine months. Even then, enclosed safely in her womb, the Christ Child, the Son of God, spoke to His people of the coming of the New Covenant…the One True Faith He established on the Rock of Peter.
St. Francis de Sales: The Rock has not moved. It cannot be otherwise. However, this does not preclude the faulty thinking and reasoning of man, who does not recognize the finiteness of his mind, the vacillating of the human will. In my own time, I worked hard to fight against the Protestant Reformation, against the Calvinists. Never did I fear to stand up and be counted as a true son of Holy Mother Church, obedient in all matters to the true teachings of the perennial Magisterium. In fact, the Holy Spirit assured me that my work was safe within the womb of Holy Mother Church…the Rock. The same cannot be said about today's 'new' church, I fear.
St. Francis of Assisi: I, too, in my own time, helped Christ to rebuild His Church by answering His call to me for prayer, sacrifice, penance, and a lively missionary zeal which thrived in my heart. Particularly, I was called to preach the Truth to the Mohammedans under Pope Innocent III. These Mohammedans, while worshipping the One True God, do not recognize Christ as the Savior of all mankind. These people are not converted to the One True Faith, but rather they are being recognized as having the 'truth', even if it is not perfected in their doctrine. Yet, as I bemoaned just a few minutes ago, even in my home of Assisi there occurred an Ecumenical Congress in 1988 which gave other faiths the same honor and praise by the Roman Catholic Church, the latter alone possessing the fullness of Truth in the Sacred Deposit of Faith.
St. Joseph: Our discussion must soon conclude on this topic. Tell me, my dear brothers in Christ, and our beloved Archangel Gabriel, what the faithful must do in order to restore all honor, dignity, and Truth to Christ's One True Church?
St. Francis of Assisi: We must ignite a fire within the hearts, minds, and souls of the faithful to "rebuild" the One True Faith again, for it has been greatly reduced by the forty years since the calling of Vatican Council II, the implementation of deliberately ambiguous language in its decrees and constitutions, and the continuing path of self-destruction that the Magisterium is following. Yes, I very much need to awaken this missionary spirit in the Church. Let the faithful study the working of the Holy Spirit in my life, and my sincere and deep love for Our Lord in His Most Sacred Passion.
St. Francis de Sales: The Counter-Reformation in the 3rd millennium must be rebuilt through sincere prayer, penance, sacrifice, conversion of heart, and the upholding of the Sacred Deposit of Faith. The faithful must awaken to the fact that the very nature of the Mass - the perpetual sacrifice of Calvary - has been altered to fit a global position as a Eucharistic meal, which is what the protestant reformation altered in their schismatic faith.
St. Gabriel: I will intercede before the Throne of the Triune Divinity that all the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church will recapture that which has been lost in these last decades. I will beg God to send me, once again, as His Messenger of Joy and Good News, to His people who are weakened because Holy Mother Church has weakened herself. Let the faithful have recourse to me in this time of great trial. I stand always ready to be of service to God and His children.
St. Joseph: Yes, a full understanding of the very nature of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass must be restored; this restoration must begin in the souls of the faithful through their desire for holiness and the sincere belief in the One True Faith. The faithful must realize that the very nature of Holy Mother Church is militant, missionary, and act upon this Truth with zeal for the conversion of all people to the One True Faith.
Saint Francis de Sales: I would also caution all to be knowledgable in what they read, especially in many modern neo-Catholic publications in print and on the internet. Many of them are, sadly, mouthpieces for the modernist agenda. I might add that even conservative publications and writings often slant things to reflect what Rome wants to be conveyed, not necessarily what the True Church has always preached. It has come to a point where many have resigned themselves to the modern thought of "if you can't beat them, join them." Those heretics I fought so vehemently against have gained full entrance into the sanctuary and transformed it into something none of us here in the celestial regions recognize.
St. Francis of Assisi: Likewise the religious orders today. I could go on about that, but I realize the duration of this discussion is nearing completion. Perhaps I can join you another time, Joseph, to address the plight of the religious life.
St. Joseph: I know the readers would appreciate that. To Gabriel and our two wonderful Francises thank you for your wisdom and enlightenment for the sake of the One True Faith. We will continue next time, taking up the same topic: "Rebuild my Church by rebuilding the Church Militant. Until then, we pray, with all the angels and saints in Heaven, that the Wisdom and Knowledge of the Holy Spirit will be infused into the souls, minds, and hearts of the faithful, even the hierarchy of the Church, for the sake of Our Lord's Sorrowful Passion. Thank you participating in these discussions by your earnest reading and study of the Faith that God has given to you, His faithful children. Please return when next we convene for our sixth discussion.
