"Good is never done except at the expense of those who do it: truth is
never enforced except at the sacrifice of its proponents - for nothing
would ever be done at all, if a man waited to do so well, that no one could
find fault with it." John Cardinal Newman
Weakland's Weakest Link
The strength of the Church begins with the obedience of its shepherds. Milwaukee's Archbishop Rembert Weakland's resistance to Rome is an example of stubborn pride and possibly the last, desperate stand for the complete desecration of our churches.
"The central question, then, is the distribution of authority in the Church, which raises questions about papal authority and episcopal authorities. Who makes which decision? Who has the final say? These pressing issues were part of the backdrop for the consistory of the Cardinals in Rome last May. The role of Bishops in the Church and the Papal Primacy will also be a topic at the world Synod of Bishops to take place there in October. The outcome of the Weakland mini-drama does not portend well for those who defend the monarchical structure of the Church and priority of the Universal Church over the 'local churches.' "
In this issue Marian Therese Horvat, Ph.D. weighs in on the sad controversy in Milwaukee where the progressive Benedictine prelate Archbishop Rembert Weakland, O.S.B. is balking at Rome's direct order to cease and desist from removing the main altar from the old cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in downtown Milwaukee. His resistance is a sure sign that the modernists of the amchurch have no intention of listening to Rome unless it suits their purpose. The problem though is that 40 years after Vatican II the Church, in effect, does not have adequate criteria for church building and renovations. The great conundrum here is that the Vatican is stepping in to support violation of canonical norms in respect to the desacralization of St. John the Evangelist, but does nothing about the Los Angeles atrocity they're trying to pass off as a cathedral, which defies all canonical criteria. Why, oh why, did Rome not heed the sage wisdom of Cardinal Ottaviani and the International Group of Fathers?
The Ottaviani Intervention Papers show without a shadow of a doubt the errors of Vatican II and the direction the progressivists were taking with the Novus Ordo
We continue with our series of articles in promoting the FirstCRUSADE of the 21st Century for it is a call to arms, a call to all loyal, faithful Catholics to defend the Truths and Traditions of Holy Mother Church. We present in this issue the third chapter of the cornerstone of the Vatican II counter-reformation - the Ottaviani Intervention, a letter to Pope Paul VI that went unheeded. Rather than listening to the wisdom of Church teaching so eloquently detailed in arguments provided by Alfredo Cardinal Ottaviani and Antonio Cardinal Bacci, Paul VI listened to the sirens of satan in the advice of his secretary of State Annibale Cardinal Bugnini, a known mason and admitted Marxist.
For part five of the Ottaviani Intervention, see FirstCRUSADE of the 21st Century
The Abundant Fruits of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
The Holy Sacrifice is offered to God with the fourfold intention of Adoration, Thanksgiving, Petition, and Atonement.
In our 236th installment of our catechetical series on My Catholic Faith we continue our series on the most august Sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist with part six, The Ends and Fruits of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that explains the vital importance of why Christ gave us, until the end of the world, Himself, present Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. This series will delve extensively in future issues into the meaning of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. At the words spoken by the priest at the Consecration in the Canon of the Mass, the bread and wine are confected into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Those words, spoken by Christ, are gleaned from Matthew 26: 26-28, Mark 14: 22-24, and Luke 22: 19-20. It is the New Covenant - the New Sacrifice that replaces the old sacrifice, the old covenant. For the sixth part on the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, see APPRECIATING THE PRECIOUS GIFT OF OUR FAITH.
Children will not stop killing children until parents stop killing
"Our young people today, directly insulted by the assertion of Roe vs. Wade that 'the word person.does not include the unborn,' are being taught to see
themselves -- and hence their classmates -- as disposable. Then we wonder why they
shoot one another. Children will not stop killing children until parents stop killing
children. And that will not happen until we start showing parents the connections."
In this issue Father Frank Pavone seeks to increase the awareness of the link between abortion and societal ills that plague civilization today. Just as Dr. Frank Joseph pointed out in his column last issue about Post Abortion Stress (PAS) for the mother, there is also Per Abortion Influence of Negative Traits (PAINT) that brushes against the soul of society with every kind of color of evil that man has wrought on himself because of his disrespect for the sanctity of life. For his column, Making Connections: A way to raise awareness of the
harm of Abortion , see SANCTITY OF LIFE
Pray for those who stubbornly continue to legislate pro-abortion measures and pray for their bishops as well!
Our series of "Herod's Hero" is now complete and we encourage you to review who is on this list, to tell your friends and parishioners, and to contact those who violate the 5th Commandment and their respective bishops and call on the latter to enforce the disciplines the Church demands. For the 13 betrayers in the Senate, their bishops and 5 governors, see SENATE, and for the 54 pro-aborts in the U.S. House, who claim to be Catholic, see HOUSE. Do all you can to help stop the horrible Holocausts of the Womb. See HEROD'S HEROES

Please SIGN THE PETITION TO THE POPE to end the hypocrisy of pro-abort 'Catholic' politicians once and for all! See PETITION TO THE HOLY FATHER
We urge you to be informed, to research and review Church documents. From Sacred Scripture, the teachings and traditions of Holy Mother Church, and papal pronouncements, learn more of what Catholics believe in the Sacred Deposit of the Faith
Find out for yourself the truths as we present a compendium portal of documents from Trent to present day. We guarantee you if you read it all with a discerning heart you will be able to decipher the wheat from the chaff, understand what the absolutes of our Faith are and not be fooled by modernism and ambiguities, no matter how cleverly they are couched. Remember satan is the father of half-truths.
