Hearts need to trust in God Who is all-lovingSometimes suffering delivers dynamite diagnoses that only can be attributed to prayer and God's Mercy and Love

Thank you, Jesus, for Your graces
and everyone's prayer, love, and

In gratitude and humility we express our deepest thanks for your love, concern and prayers for Michael's successful surgery.

Symphony of SufferingCyndi Cain    In her fifteenth installment, Cyndi Cain takes time to thank all who have been praying for her husband Michael during his successful prostate surgery to remove the cancer. She shares with all her own personal emotions she underwent while he went under the knife last month and the aftermath in ICU and then being released. She shares the concern and doubts the entire family had and the anxiety of her sons who had seen an uncle die from the same cancer just a few months earlier. She enlightens all as to God's guiding hand in all of this and how He works so wondrously in healing and depends on us to do our part both in prayer and totally trusting in Him. It is in this fiat that fruits multiply through the graces of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of the Blessed Mother and the saints in Heaven. For her column, Healing at work in every way , see SYMPHONY OF SUFFERING.

Feast of Saint Anthony Mary Claret, Bishop and Religious Founder

Father, You endowed Anthony Claret with the strength of love and patience to preach the gospel to many nations. By the help of his prayers may we work generously for Your Kingdom and gain our brothers and sisters for Christ.

    The DAILY WORD
Taken from the Gospel for Tuesday's Mass

"Blessed are those servants whom the master, on His return, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, He will gird Himself, and will make them recline at table, and will come and serve them. And if He comes in the second watch, and if in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants!"

    Luke 12: 37-38

Events that happened Today in Church History

Pope Pius XIIPalestine Israel    Today is the 52nd anniversary of Pope Pius XII's 15th encyclical In multiplicibus curis on prayers for peace for Palestine. This followed his encyclical Auspicia quaedam six months earlier on May 1, 1948 in which Pius pleaded to the world for prayers for world peace and a solution to the problem of Palestine with Israel becoming a state once again under David Ben Gurion. Interesting isn't it, that after a half century we are right back where we were in biblical times with the Palestinians and Israelites at war. Both sides need to give way to God's Will and take into consideration the plight of the people of both nations. Pope John Paul II has called for Sovereignty of Jerusalem to be placed in God's hands with no temporal government ruling Jerusalem. Only time and prayer will tell. Famous quotes of Bishop Fulton J. SheenMaking truth personal through solitude with God

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".

"Only in solitariness is true spirituality born, when the soul stands naked before its God. In that moment these are the only two realities in the universe. In this discovery is born love of neighbor, for then we love our fellow human beings, not because of what they can do for us, but because we see that they too are real or potential children of God. Though truth is not personal, we make it personal by contemplation."
