  After introducing this special series on the weekend of the special Jubilee of Families held October 13-14 in Rome, we continue today with the third lesson Vacating Vice in order to Invite Virtue in which we examine the deadly five "a's" that destroy the institution of Holy Matrimony and show how, in order to enter into union with another for life, we need to be sure any tendencies towards these vices are absent. If not, they must be eradicated before the cancer spreads not only to the couple but their immediate family, children, parents and beyond. By following the directives of Pope Paul VI's excellent encyclical Humanae Vitae and Pope John Paul II's equally excellent Evangelium Vitae they can be assured of avoiding the pitfalls and landmines laid out by the five "a's" of artificial contraception, abortion, adultery, abuse and abandonment. Pope Paul VI was right. His encyclical Humanae Vitae was the blueprint for enhancing the Sanctity of Life, but sadly it was rejected and because of that, his warnings of what would happen if people did not embrace the Church's teaching have come true. But it is not too late. Couples can right the ship by going back to these basic, beautiful documents and help bring about a new springtime of love - pure, Conjugal Love. This sensitive and enlightening series is co-written by Michael and Cyndi Cain, who share what the Holy Spirit has inspired them to write including intimate, chasteful revelations of their own lives that have helped elevate their Conjugal Love.
