The DAILY WORD

Taken from the Gospel for the Fifth Wednesday of Easter:
"I am the true vine and My Father is the vinegrower. He prunes every barren branch, but the fruitful ones He trims clean to increase their yield. You are clean already, thanks to the word I have spoken to you. Live on in Me as I do in you. " John 15: 1-2

You can't have it both ways. Either you're pro-life or not. Pro-choice is not an alternative!
|
Today Dr. Frank Joseph pulls no punches in telling it like it truly is. Planned Parenthood and other pro-choice pro-abort organizations seem to have a cover-up of their own, which fits comfortably into the on-going culture of death society in which we live.
"For what does it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but suffer the loss of his own soul?" Today, Dr. Joseph shows how there is no middle ground in the question of abortion, of life. At conception that fetus becomes a human being, endowed with the same God-given rights the Constitution is supposed to protect as it does for the mother. Events that happened today in Church History
On this date two years ago Pope John Paul II made a special visit to Turin, Italy to pray and honor the venerable Shroud of Turin on special display there. It is strongly believed to be the linens that wrapped the precious body of Our Lord while He lay in the tomb. Even though scientists and detractors have tried to debunk it, carbon-dated tests of the shroud and special dna tests show it from the time of Jerusalem and fiber indigenous to that area. Crosses are easier to bear when we have prepared properly
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".
"Crosses are inescapable. Those who start with self-love have already created for themselves the possibility of millions of other crosses from those who live by the same pride. But those who discipline themselves and tame the ego by little acts of self-denial have already prepared themselves to meet crosses from the outside; they have familiarized themselves with them, and the shock is less when they are thrust on their shoulders."
April 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message
NOTE: We respectfully recognize and accept the final authority regarding apparitions, locutions and prophecies presently being reported around the world rests with the Holy See of Rome and the Magisterium of Holy Mother Church to whose judjment we humbly and obediently submit.
"Dear children! Also today I call you to conversion. You are concerned too much about material things and little about spiritual ones. Open your hearts and start again to work more on your personal conversion. Decide everyday to dedicate time to God and to prayer until prayer becomes a joyful meeting with God for you. Only in this way will your life have meaning and with joy you will contemplate eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call."
