It was with a very heavy heart yesterday that I learned that the Supreme Court beat down the Nebraska law which sought to have partial birth abortion banned. How five of the supposedly brightest minds in the nation, who are Supreme Court Justices, can authorize the killing of babies, even full-term, by having their brains sucked out of their heads is beyond my ability to comprehend. Their argument was that the law did not provide for the health of the mother. My question is: Since when does the health of the mother require her baby’s brain to be literally sucked out of its head?

    In case the reader does not know what happens with partial birth abortion, permit me to explain. An unborn baby is brought feet first through the birth canal of the mother. The head is not brought out, but remains in the birth canal. The abortionist then inserts a scissors or other sharp instrument into the base of the baby’s head. This can even be a full term baby. Then a suction tube is inserted into the incision and suction of the head contents proceeds. In plain English, which I don’t hear anyone saying in the news media is that: THE BABY’S BRAIN IS SUCKED OUT OF IT’S HEAD WHILE THE BABY IS STILL ALIVE!

    How barbaric have we become? How insensitive have consciences become? Where is the moral fiber in the court rooms including the Supreme Court? This is pure infanticide and I don’t hear enough people in our country crying out against it! Maybe death on a broad scale has to sweep our country before we value life again.

    Once, Our Lady of Medjugorje said that satan wants to destroy us and the planet on which we live. To all appearances, he is succeeding.

    Why this love of death? Why this obsession with destroying human life? It is the greatest sin of our nation in my opinion. This country, I am afraid, is becoming so used to evil that the sight of it is everyday hum-drum anymore.

    CATHOLICS CANNOT BE PRO-CHOICE. Non-Catholics either! GOD DID NOT GIVE US FREE WILL TO CHOOSE EVIL. HE GAVE US FREE WILL TO CHOOSE BETWEEN GOOD THINGS. If a person can be pro-choice regarding the killing of babies, then they should be allowed to be pro-choice regarding any other moral matters. For example, I should be able to be free to burn down your house or kill your pet. It’s free choice, isn’t it???

    How absurd! How sad!

    O God, please straighten us out! Save us, O Lord, for we are perishing! The moral fiber of our nation is dying quickly and only you, O God, can save us from ourselves.

    Please, dear reader, be PRO-LIFE! Choose life, not death!

    I am convinced that the reason why we have come to this moral decay is because we have not prayed or fasted enough. Let’s start anew! Each day, let’s start anew! Let’s make prayer our first food.

    "This kind can only be cast out only by prayer and fasting!" Jesus said.
