Considered with Saint Joan of Arc as the patron saint of France, he shares the day with Saint Joseph Calasanz as you can read in our liturgy section. SATURDAY
Besides being a Weekday in Ordinary Time, August 26th is the customary Observance of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday, a tradition that goes back to the days of Charlemagne. In addition, we post the August 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message released late on Friday, as Our Lady strives to bring more ever closer to her Divine Son Jesus.

On August 27th we bring you Pope John Paul II's closing address at his Papal Mass at Tor Vergata on the outskirts of Rome plus his Angelus last Sunday for World Youth Day 2000 where 2 million youth from 160 countries came together in faith, hope and love to celebrate with the Pope in Rome as the Holy Father urged all to not turn away from Christ.
