During this week which we are calling "Good Shepherd Week" due to the theme of the Second Sunday after Easter, we can see the ranks of the faithful shrinking to horrific numbers, thus making all the clearer Christ's words in Luke 8: 18, But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, faith on earth?. That is because lost today are the vast majority of the sheep because the so-called shepherds of the modern church, while masquerading as priests and prelates, are truly wolves who have ravaged souls for the past fifty years or so. Other than traditional priests and bishops ordained in the true Sacrament of Holy Orders, all those "ordained" or "consecrated" since 1968 with the man-made rite of Giovanni Montini have no more authority or power than a protestant minister, who, as Pope Leo XIII perfectly put it, "are completely null and utterly void." The fact is not since His Holiness Pope Pius XII have we had a true shepherd sitting in the Chair of Peter. That has greatly contributed to the chaos the world faces today because since the early part of the Conclave of 1958, when the Holy Ghost withdrew His protection because a false church was determined to eclipse the true Church. How long that will last is anybody's guess, but the more we see, the further away the counterfeit CONciLIAR church is out-protestanting the Protestants, and even the heathens! You see, through the Vatican 2 secular humanism man has replaced God!

How tragic that several generations have now been weaned on the rot of Vatican 2 where few realize or remember the true Faith. A perfect example of this and the false shepherds who march to the tune of Jorge Bergoglio's liberation theology beat is the newly appointed "bishop" of San Diego, Robert W. McElroy who was weaned in San Francisco liberalism, not to mention Harvard and a licentiate in theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, a hotbed of liberation theology. Of course, another so-called "theologian" Emily Reimer-Barry from the progressive University of San Diego gushed in the San Diego Union-Tribune on what he should do in America's Finest City after installation on April 16 this year. This editor corrected her with a letter to the editor on the editorial page in which I wrote in part, "I didn't realize 'Bishop' McElroy was running for political office since those platforms she advanced reek of liberation theology. She did not once mention Christ or care for the spiritual welfare of souls, which prelates are primarily responsible for more than their flocks' temporal needs. Instead she promotes the heresies of secular humanism, modernism, and ecumenism, all condemned as anathema by St. Paul (Gal 1: 8-10), several Councils and Popes, specifically Pope St. Pius X in his landmark encyclical 'Pascendi'and the Oath against Modernism. Someone please inform this "theologian" the Catholic Church did not begin in 1962 with the Second Vatican Council, but rather long before in Matthew 16:18-19, John 21:15-17, and Chapter Two of Acts of the Apostles."

Unfortunately 99% of San Diegans will not be receiving the true Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in any of McElroy's parishes because of the invalid Novus Ordo and the fact he and most of his presbyters can't be true priests as attested to above. Think how tragic that is: that the true Presence resides in only one tabernacle in all of San Diego County. By the grace of God and only through His graces, is this editor blessed with knowing that and belonging to that parish. That is why the pastoral letter "True Reverence for the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar" by Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI from two years ago for this month dedicated to the Holy Eucharist is so important. If only more were aware they are being led to the abyss by false shepherds. We can only pray and make reparation for we know not the hearts and cry out with Jesus in St. Luke 23: 34, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

As promised, we present three new installments of John Gregory's assessment on Monsignor Joseph Clifford Fenton's magnificent work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" as John closes out his series with Parts Twelve through Fourteen this week. In addition, John provides the Haydock Commentary for the Second Sunday after Easter and finishes the week on the feast of the holy Apostle St. Mark with his reflection on the "Holy Griffin of the Gospels". In addition, we bring you on the feast of St. George

Finally, to keep abreast of events, their causes and consequences, and inspiration from other ports, we confidently recommend NovusOrdoWatch.org and Christorchaos.com for articles and links, as well as three blogs worth your while, Introibo Ad Altare Dei, Fr. Cekada's Quidlibet, and the satirical, but on-point Call Me Jorge.

Today is best known as "Good Shepherd Sunday" after the Gospel of St. John where Christ reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd, "Ego sum Pastor Bonus". The Station is at St. Peter's in Rome. On this Sunday St. Gregory the Great delivered his magnificent homily on the Gospel of the Good Shepherd, near the tomb of the first universal pastor. Christ founded the papal primacy on the unshakable faith and intense love of Peter; and he, following in his Savior's steps, did not hesitate to give his life for the flock entrusted to him. The devotion to Jesus the Redeemer under the figure of the Good Shepherd was dear to the faithful from very early times; in the catacombs Christ is frequently represented as a shepherd. The liturgical and traditional use of the Gospel of the Good Shepherd on the second Sunday after Easter is very old. Jesus, therefore, presents Himself to us to-day as the "Good Shepherd" and tells us what will henceforth be His relationship with His flock. Of those outside the fold Our Lord speaks gently; not a word of reproach but merely a statement of facts. More for Second Sunday after Easter

John Gregory has graciously provided Father George Leo Haydock's commentaries on the Douay-Rheims version of the New Testament. The Second Sunday following Easter is often referred to as Good Shepherd Sunday for the Gospel of St. John in which Christ proclaims that He is the Good Shepherd and He knows His sheep and they know Him. He identifies those who are not true shepherds for they will flee and leave the flock to fend for themselves, but not before they have weakened them further by not instilling sound doctrine and safeguards for their souls. Sound familiar? Today's CONciLIAR church has false shepherds who have an agenda to please man, not God. We know they are false shepherds from the chief unFrancis lay shepherd the world considers as pope all the way down to the lowliest priest for there are so few true priests left thanks to the false shepherd Paul VI daring to alter what Christ established. As St. Paul says so clearly in Galatians 1: 8, if some one preach other than what is Catholic truth, let them be condemned, just as the dogmatic Council of Trent reaffirmed. We see so clearly Our Lord's words My Sheep know Me

Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, Rector of St. Joseph's Minor Seminary in Rathdrum, Idaho at the City of Mary presents a nine-minute sermon for the Second Sunday after Easter, also known as "Good Shepherd" Sunday after the Epistle and Gospel in which Father addresses how we, as His sheep in the pasture, must love and obey our Shepherd if we want to remain safe in His graces. When we stray, we become lost and are vulnerable to the ravenous wolves and lions and other predators of the world, the flesh and the devil. We need to heed Him, His true Church and remain in grace, but that can only be done if we Know Our Lord and Imitate Him

In a summary of Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton's list of eight documents on salvation from his work "The Catholic Church and Salvation" we can see, thanks to John Gregory's compilation, that the Monsignor reinforces the points made in previous chapters regarding his eight documents that solidify how there can be no doubt as to the fact outside the true Ark of Salvation (which since the New Testament is the holy Catholic Church) all others will be lost unless they sincerely desire to be on this Ark, yet through no fault of their own cannot be. Nevertheless, as the Magisterium of the Church has always taught, this dogma is not up for discussion or evolving, but remains a firm dogmatic teaching of the Church from earliest times as established by the Second Person of the Holy Trinity when Jesus established His hierarchy for His one true Church in St. Matthew 16: 18-19; 25: 1-46; 28: 18-20, St. Mark 16: 15-16, St. John 6: 51-70; 21: 15-17, and the Second Chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. Again, Monsignor Fenton proves that, despite what the Feeneyites' objections may be, the true Church cannot err. Christ has guaranteed that, which only proves the church of Vatican 2 cannot be that Church. Time for those in the Novus Ordo apparatchix to flee as fast as they can back to the true Church. John Gregory presents Part Twelve: The Theological and Historical Background of the Dogma

Saint Anselm was born at Aoust, in Piedmont of Italian nobility. After a childhood devoted to piety and study, Anselm wanted to enter religious life, but his father prevented it, and Anselm became rather wordly for several years. ...More

April 21st is the traditional feast of the holy Doctor of the Church and Bishop Saint Anselm who was a crusader against lay investiture, fiercely loyal to Rome and to his vocation as a priest who loved his flocks. They rewarded him by fiercely standing behind him against mighty temporal kings. He was a Frenchman who conquered the Brits with love. He was the father of Scholastic Theology. He was the holy doctor from Piedmont whose writings and teachings became an important barometer for another Doctor of the Church - the angelic doctor St. Thomas Aquinas a little over a century later. St. Anselm was the uncompromising Archbishop of Canterbury in the middle ages who lived 76 years and is known best as the Father of Scholasticism. Father of Scholasticism

Besides March 19, the Church has designated this day to honor the esteemed holy St. Joseph with a Double of the First Class observance of the foster-father of Jesus and chaste protecting spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. ...More

In part thirteen of this series John Gregory continues the compilation of the excellent work The Catholic Church and Salvation by the esteemed Monsignor Joseph Clifford Fenton, where this dedicated priest explains the simplicity of what salvation consists of, namely choosing the Kingdom of God over the kingdom of satan. However, there is no guarantee one can be saved simply by thinking so, but rather by acting so, through one's commitment to avoid mortal sin. There is, as the Monsignor notes, a guarantee of salvation if one is 'within' the Catholic Church either by the baptism of water or baptism of desire or baptism of blood and dies in the state of Sanctifying Grace. Even if one is in the Church one can still be claimed by the kingdom of satan if they die in the state of mortal sin. In actuality, the only sure way one is truly 'saved' is when one finally is in the presence of the Beatific Vision in having attained Heaven. That is the true rapture we can expect if we live according to the divine Will. John Gregory presents Part Thirteen: The Concept of Salvation

The feast of St. George is found in the Ethiopian, Coptic, Syriac, and Latin liturgies. The ancient "Georgia" is named after him. He is renowned as the armed defender of the Church, ...More

His Excellency Bishop Mark Pivarunas, CMRI focuses on the mystery of the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar and the stark contrast of the awe and reverence afforded the True Presence of Our Lord and Savior compared with the travesty of the Novus Ordo with atrocities galore that not only scandalize but veer greatly from what was set in stone at the dogmatic Council of Trent. His Excellency details the reason why true priests take such caution and reverence for the Blessed Sacrament, something so sorely missing today in the Novus Ordo lodges, which only reinforce the Traditional Catholic stance that what the Conciliar church offers is invalid and totally null and void as is obvious in True Reverence for the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar

This saint was one of many who God rose up during the "Century of Saints" to counter the Protestant Revolt of the 16th Century. Saint Fidelis was born in Sigmaringen, France in 1577 of noble parents. Ordained in 1612. Always devout to the sacraments, Fidelis became a Capuchin monk, embracing a life of austerity and prayer. The Congregation of Propaganda appointed him to go to Switzerland to save as many souls as possible from the growing heresy of Calvinism. ...More

In part fourteen and last part of this series John Gregory has compiled on the masterpiece benchmark The Catholic Church and Salvation by the esteemed Monsignor Joseph Clifford Fenton, we see how the Roman Catholic Church is identified as the true "Church", "ecclesia", "Ecclesia Militans", "the Mystical Body of Christ", "the household of the faith" with the titles proffered in Sacred Scripture and passed down from Tradition as "His disciples", "members of the Mystical Body of Christ", "Church Militant", "the baptized", "followers of the Word", "children of the Kingdom of God", "Christ's sheep and lambs". John points out that Msgr. Fenton is the most renowned theologian of the 20th century and this is in tune with a plethora of saints and great theologians of the Church over the centuries. There can be no doubt that the Catholic Church is the true and only Church of Christ and outside of this Church there is no salvation. It is all clearly explained in this final installment provided by John Gregory Salvation and the Basic Concept of the Church

The feast of St. Mark was not regularly inserted into the Roman Calendar until about the Twelfth Century. This is explained by the original association of the commemorations of the saints with their tombs. Although St. Mark was among the first who with St. Peter brought the Faith to Rome and at the request of the Romans themselves, wrote his Gospel, ...More

Today on this feast of the holy Evangelist St. Mark we recite the Greater Litanies, namely the Litany of the Saints

April 25 is the feast of the holy Evangelist Saint Mark, represented by the Angelic Lion foreseen in the Old Testament by the Prophet Ezechiel when the latter received a glorious vision of the four Evangelists and their purpose which comprised the entire first chapter of the Prophesy of Ezechiel. These winged creatures, who many believe were angels in the prophet's vision, foresaw St. Matthew depicted as a human angel, St. Mark as the winged lion - or, in heraldic terms, a griffin, St. Luke as the winged ox, and St. John as the glorious eagle all with the purpose of spreading the news of the Messiah Who sat upon the throne of Heaven. It is said St. Mark received his moniker, if you will, from his description of St. John the Baptist of whom the evangelist begins his gospel in St. Mark 1: 2-3, "As it is written in Isaias the prophet: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare the way before thee. A voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight His paths." John Gregory completes the week by citing the Catholic Encyclopedia's claim that St. Mark wrote from St. Peter's point of view for he wrote what was preached by Simon-Peter, Petrus - the Rock upon which Christ established His only true Church on earth for all time as He promised and as was foretold in the Old Covenant.       We encourage you to learn more about the Traditional Latin Mass - the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in these videos at this link because each time you worthily assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in person, you gain graces that are placed in a "golden chalice", so to speak, and is offered to God to be weighed in substance when you stand before Him at your Particular Judgment. The more you have filled this chalice, the better will it go for your spiritual welfare in eternity, enhanced by your cooperation with grace. Know the Mass

When One Cannot physically assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we provide additional prayers that can be supplemented with the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and the PROPER OF THE DAY to enable you to better prepare yourself at home. Of course, this never replaces actually being there, but it is much better than attending the Novus Ordo services. Therefore we have gleaned from The Key of Heaven prayers to say at home. It is very comforting to know that the Holy Mass is offered for us even when we are not actually present. But to enjoy the benefits which it procures, we must by a SPIRITUAL COMMUNION become partakers of the altar from which we are temporarily banished. Here we provide prayers in preparation for fulfilling assistance in absentia in addition to the ORDINARY OF THE HOLY MASS and PROPER OF THE DAY. PRAYERS IN ABSENTIA

    Prayer Before the Crucifix

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst fix deep within my heart lively sentiments of Faith, Hope and Charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds; having before my eyes the words which David in prophesy spoke concerning Thee, O Good Jesus: "They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones."

    Plenary Indulgence, Condition:
    • Confession
    • Communion
    • One Our Father
    • One Hail Mary
    • One Glory be...
Pope Pius IX, July 31, 1858

  • The Fatima Prayers

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee; and I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love Thee.
(repeat the above 3 times then bow your head in reciting the following:)

O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in tabernacles throughout the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in unison with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
